morning dogs there we go that's better get her get her [Music] supposed to be like 80 degrees today we got 200 acres of corn done phenomenal weather i'm going to keep saying it first things first here this morning got to do the morning bin climb see how much room is left in there i shut the auger down a couple hours ago during the night because i was afraid we were filling this bin becky as a grain bin safety advocate i'm going to leave the camera down here definitely more room left in there than expected i guess we'll fire up the dryer and get that moving while we transfer some more there isn't a lot left out of that back bin but we're of course having some issues [Music] next up is our motor here that i couldn't get going yesterday to empty these beans out again so we've got our on-site electrician on it right now because i don't know what i'm doing and when it comes to electricity i don't really want to learn electricity scares the heck out of me so i'm much more of a grandstander than an electrician [Music] well thank goodness that is the last of the 2019 soybeans next up we got dry corn in this that we need to move over here and transfer into a different bin and this truck was running one hour ago we loaded it and jim says now she don't start absolutely nothing battery's got power sun's not making connection here that'll fix it hit it hard well that's a new one it's time to cross the solenoids here can't get to it there's no juice there get him the good tool nope our truck is dead it won't do anything we got the dryer going the truck is broke down so we got corn moving out of the dryer because that's number one we got a little mess to clean up with this i'm gonna turn the camera off and i'll see you guys in a few hours let's hope this one starts jim did get the other one going he was able to cross the starter and get it going look at that this whole situation around here with moving last year's grain around it's mostly a backup of kovit really screwing up our marketing plans so we've got way more crop left than what we intended we had to get rid of the beans last year's crop didn't store very well so we want to move it all dad's been laid up with double knee surgery i've explained it all if you go back a couple videos but yeah it's uh it's our biggest hindrance this year by far and it's not it's not usually like this that's for sure any who's we're going farming hi x9 how you doing still smells fresh in here ah that new x9 smell all right jim says he's thinking up the cabin there like i am in here because we both got rotten beans on our boots i told him to take his boots off and leave him on the platform he thinks it's in his pants and everything as long as i'm not riding with you in there i don't fear taking pants off hang those out on the rail too when you miss a 100 foot wide path with the sprayer up in these parts you get solid water hemp and you get very poor yielding crop in that spot and you deal with this so i thought this would be a good time to show you guys the electric motor reverse on this so you just hold reverse and i've got the combine at high idle the back end's running yet it does have a different reverser on it i'm going to set the camera down and drop the head and deal with this it also comes with the handy dandy alert system to let you know that you're not in the cab anymore and the option for the operator to get out and pull the stuff off the snouts clearly this is why we use herbicide stinks when i was a kid i remember my dad talking about black nightshade it's a specific weed it's never been a problem but this year we've seen a decent amount of it show up again it went away in the late 90s with roundup but that's what's stuck down in there the black nitrate is still green but this weed is water hemp obviously a very poor choice as a cover crop so far it looks like it's only knocked about 150 bushels of yield off the top five to four you know you can see the water hemp sticking above that those rows there for that hundred feet but what's underneath that was catching on the snouts is actually black nightshade it's way down in there and it's still green after thanksgiving if you get the berries inside the machine i think we're going to find yeah i raised the snouts after i saw what was building up on the heads there i raised them up a random higher and we're uh we're pretty much through it now there's only two rows left with it so it shouldn't be an issue but that stuff stinks too that's nasty stuff it is a nasty stuff years ago but the chemicals usually take care of it pretty easy dad's knee is getting a little bit sore bouncing around in the rt here running grain cart so he's thinking maybe his knee would be better off running that machine i'll make a couple short rounds with him here we'll see how he likes it then we'll we'll unleash him we'll let him go they grow up so quick you know they got a decent spot to store a cane yeah that's handy cane holder where's the auger the auger is here and you kind of got to hold it yep the whole time no okay just deep just a little longer yeah like compared to ours you'll notice a lot of the time you push it it won't go okay so you got to like hold it for a second okay kind of like starting the air system on the dryer apparently it turns sharper than ours does it yeah the rear yeah rear tires something turns sharper and you got to get used to counting eight rows over like the bean head which is never that easy but this is about as high as i can you only gotta go seven cause you got one sticking out yeah that joystick's gonna take some getting used to it it is doesn't it yeah where's the automatic header height one two three one is up two is the middle three three i got it set so when you get in real real short horn okay but that's what i was on here when i heard that rock go through so [Music] i dialed it up with hair but okay there's the first thing you'll notice you gotta switch the header off so you have to start in with the back to start the back it has to be an idle and then you have to wait four seconds before you start the head really yeah so i every time i do what you did i hit him too fast then yeah there you go in number two and the auto steer is not the same so it doesn't grab rose sense when you hit two oh okay if you look at the grain there's no copper look at that it's kind of it's clean oh it does sharp it does turn sharp yeah plus you got a 40-foot head so you don't have to turn the shark yeah now you'll see with this wide of a head how difficult it is to keep those lined up i guess you got some over here but when you get it only get three or four rows over there that that joystick is different but you do get used it's pretty big isn't it yeah one thing you got to get used to there when you shut the young load off it shuts off the crosshairs five seconds before the big one oh yeah so you you have to it doesn't have the delay like ours when you start but it delays at the end so if you get in a situation where something fills up too much you double click it and it stops everything right away oh okay but that's also delayed more than they say there's still like a three second delay it seems not really right you want to write it's not real no i can watch that there's your percentage of how full you are when that gets to 95 if you're on any bit of a hill it's gonna dump on your head okay we'll cut them loose and i get to run my tractor oh he's gonna turn around quicker than i thought now i'm a slow grain car driver oh we're gonna be okay he's still slow in that combine did we just drop on the end for a little bit yeah i've got over 62 000 already yeah keep it here going low then farming let's walk up here and get a little closer look at this thing in action as it comes by here it's kind of cool to not be behind the wheel actually and see this thing get to work from the outside holy buckets oh no it's so far as exciting as this is i just got off the phone with becky and isla our little girl fell on the playground at school and it sounds like she has broken her arm in multiple spots so becky's with her at the hospital at the moment figuring that out everything is breaking we'll see if jim can fix this one he's a good welder fuel time and load time there's 17 in this truck now if you want to swap all right dad's going to hitch a ride home here with the next truck we're going to fuel up the x9 we got 23. his name's josh he's coming to run a truck 2.0 nate is going to jump in the cart we'll figure it out trust us just kidding of course don't trust us but we'll figure it out you got it running running good mm-hmm hopefully we got enough he empty well you know how everything's been breaking shut up zach isla just broke her arm on the playground at school no yep well until i hear more from becky on what's going on with isla and there's not a lot i can do so we'll keep this moving and yes we forgot to put gas in the pump motor that runs thunder so we didn't get fueled up in this but i think we got enough to finish the 50 acres here so once so once i can set the home point as we're moving and then he hits his auto track resume so does he have to hit that every time we line up yep every time he comes underneath you he has to hit his auto track not the home point okay so because the home point is set then but i don't so i don't connect to him he actually hits the resume and then his tractor connects to me right got it okay and then does it control it'll control the speed and the distance is that right yeah and then you'll have once you're connected you'll have like arrows below you below your set home point yep i've got i see the nudging arrows you can move him forward and back and left and right okay we will we will play with that we'll set that here thank you yeah all right bye okay dude let's um let's go like uh two miles an hour here i'm gonna set something up so we need to set our speed and i'll find a spot in the cart and then i'll set the whole point okay now get your auto track resume button i turned my autosteer on now now i wonder if yours will connect with me do you feel like you're connected now here we go i had to have my auto track working i suppose you guys are forward thinkers so this is a cool function to take my mind off my little girl's broken arm for a few minutes he's tracking with me so if i slow down and i speed up or if i move left to right he will track because we've set the home point inside that cart to follow with me so he's tracking left to right and speed wise with me and i have nudge buttons so i can move him to the side i can move him front to back this is going to be fun to play with that's what she said he's comfortable now though yeah getting heavy at it well that's probably a good thing how long will they know if there's an ambulance available uh he i think they were just going to call on morrison glenwood right now so this is who they have here are gone like fargo i suppose they don't know for sure where they're going yet anyway right because they have to wait for clarence from children so she's going to have the same type of stuff that ree went through yeah but the worst part of who we are with those first 12 hours until like i'm hoping like she has a fair dream then afterwards but the thing that sucks is kindergarten in her right hand like writing is gonna be not happening yeah all right we'll be in touch okay then eyla's got a pretty bad arm break right in the growth plate in the elbow so she's gonna need an ambulance ride to the twin cities area and some surgery well it's another beautiful sunset dad's going to take over for me in the combine and finish this field off there's only about 15 acres left here so it isn't going to take him long i'm going to bring this buggy home and uh wait and see what i hear from becky see if i gotta run to the twin cities tonight or whatever we're also way behind on videos at this point you guys are waiting for an x9 video so when this comes out you won't be waiting anymore but as i record this you guys are starting to get impatient so i might have to try and edit a video for you guys too oh dear i gotta climb a couple of fans here grab some stuff for becky see if i can meet her and i lie in town before they head to the big hospital so i'm out thank you guys for watching
