Impossible Things with Robert Madu

look you picked a good day to come to church we have an awesome awesome guess with us today but it's not even as if it's a disservice to call him a guest because he's really part of our family here at Calvary pastor Robert Madhu is with us that today fessor Robert has spoken for the last 13 years all across the globe taking the message of the gospel in the love of Jesus nationally and internationally he's married to a beautiful wife Taylor who's going to tell you about Anna's three kids but come on let's give a warm Calvary welcome to Reverend Robert Madhu come on powder let's do it hallelujah come on let's give King Jesus just the biggest hand clap of praise that you got oh come on man confer you could do better than that buddies are like this is the first Sunday of 2019 come on and he brought you through anything last year come on I think just give God the best place you've got one we magnify you today have your way in this place shake what you want to shake mode what you want to move have your way fool in Jesus name Amen amen amen give somebody a high five as you take your seat come on tell them they look good tell them they look like they lost some weight already come on is everybody excited to be in the house of God today I'll tell you my mom used to always say baby whatever you doing the first Sunday of the year you gonna be doing all year long I don't know if that was just her plot to keep us in church but I really believe there's a truth to that and you picked a great Sunday to be in the house of God I am honored to be back it's always good to be back at Calvary I am a part of the family I'm just your chocolate cousin down the street from the great country of Texas and I just believe God has great things in store for us especially to kick off this series impossible things when God shows up I really believe God's gonna do impossible things in your life this year anybody believe that I'm telling you this is gonna be the year that he does the impossible and it's always an honor to be here I want to thank God for your incredible pastor for his leadership for who he is can we thank God for pastor wrong SIA I love love love pastor Ross his wife their entire family he has been allowing me to stand behind this pulpit I think since I was like 19 years old so I always honor him thank God for him and we don't have a good time today I really feel like I'm on assignment I have a word from God for you still live in Texas still married to the finest woman on the planet her name is Taylor and you know I got to be that I still have to put up a picture of my kids it's like family reunion when I come back I'll show you my three little humans show you what we're working with come on y'all those are my babies that is four three and one it's not just their ages those are also the times they wake up throughout the night every night so that's kind of where my life is but fatherhood is the best hood so I'm glad to be a dad but let's just jump straight to the Word of God did you come to hear from God come on would you stand with me to honor his word I'm gonna look at the Gospel of Mark today chapter number five I want to look at verses 21 through 43 mark chapter 5 21 through 43 quite a bit of Scripture but come on if you need a new year's resolution make one be to get in the Word of God more but I need all of it for you to get the context of where we're going mark chapter 5 we'll start at verse 21 when you're ready to read and say yeah you need some time to find it's a hold up okay I'll wait for you I'll wait for you even though it's gonna be on the screen amen mark chapter 5 starting in verse 21 and it says when Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake then one of the synagogue leaders named Jairus came and when he saw Jesus he fell at his feet he pleaded earnestly with him my little daughter is dying please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live so Jesus went with him a large crowd followed and pressed around him and a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years she had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had yet instead of getting better she grew worse when she heard about Jesus she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak because she thought if I just touch his clothes I will be healed immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was free from her suffering at once Jesus realized that power had gone out him he turned around in the crowd and asked who touched my clothes you see the people crowding against you his disciples answer and yet you can ask who touched me but Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it then the woman knowing what had happened to her came and fell at his feet and trembling with fear told him the whole truth and he said to her daughter your faith has healed you go in peace and be freed from your suffering while Jesus was still speaking some people came from the house of Jairus the synagogue leader your daughter is dead they said why bother the teacher anymore overhearing what they said one version says ignoring what they said Jesus told him don't be afraid just believe he did not let anyone follow him except Peter James and John the brother of James and when they came to the home of the synagogue leader Jesus saw a commotion with people crying and wailing loudly he went in and said to them why all the commotion and wailing the child is not dead but asleep but they laughed at him after he put them all out he took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with him and went in where the child was he took her by the hand and said to her - Letha Combe which means little girl I say to you get up immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around she was 12 years old and this they were completely astonished he gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this and then told him don't just stand there and look at the girl go to chick-fil-a and get her something to eat come on somebody give God some praise that's good all by itself that is good all by itself some scripture you can just read and drop the mic because it's that good but uh before you're seated I want to pray with you but real quick in full sermon prep disclosure I have to let you know that I almost titled this message get almost as that's a good sermon title especially for an impossible series get up because I thought that was the climax of the miracle Jesus telling this little girl who was dead to get up upon further reflection I realized that was a premature idle premature title simply because a versus 40 and 41 so real quick before you see that I want to back that thing up biblically 2 versus 40 and 41 because remember jesus walks in and says this girl is not dead she's just asleep and when he said that it says but they laughed at him they laughed who is the day the negative doubting hating unbelieving faithless cantankerous people that were in the room you know those people that light up a room when they walk out don't point at anybody um those people that for every solution they gonna find a problem that's the day that was in the room they laughed and as soon as they laugh it says put it back up they laughed and says after he that's Jesus put them all out the Greek suggests that he physically put them all out I'll see I don't want to mess up your theology or your Christology today because you think you think that Jesus is just kind and sweet and loving and caring and he's a good good father he is but this text lets me know don't get it twisted he is so so gangster because all of those negative doubting unbelieving people he said all y'all got to get you ain't got to go home but you got to get out of here so before that little girl could get up first some people in the room had to get Calvary Church what if the power of a miracle is not just in the miracle itself but rather in the atmosphere and the environment that surrounds Oh merica could it be possible that you've been telling some things in your life to get up but this is your year to start checking your environment and telling some things to get out so you can step into everything that God has for you oh I feel like preacher today would you do me a favor look at your neighbor and tell them my title look at him like you're mad at him and just say get out yeah yeah come on find you another neighbor find you another neighbor in case that one was stuck up come on say other neighbor come on tell them other neighbor get out not now but later let's pray father thank you for your word speak to us today amen you may be seated in the presence of the Lord get out Calvary family the divine intersection and collision of characters in this text today immediately gave me a nostalgic parental fatherhood flashback to November 2014 I remember it quite vividly because I was getting ready to leave our home in Dallas Texas to go preach at a conference which isn't anything unusual I often leave to go preach at a conference except this time everything was different everything was different because I was not just leaving the house as a husband now I was leaving the house as a father my firstborn daughter Evie had just entered the world and I was in that emotional precarious predicament of leaving my firstborn daughter for the very first time and come on every parent here will attest to the fact that things are different with your first child oh come on somebody there are things that happen with your first child that none of your other children will experience okay like now now my wife and I we have three kids plus a demonic dog so when I leave the house now I leave like I got warrants for my wrist and I take the long route home okay often often my wife Taylor will call me with chaos in the background it should be like babe where are you I mean traffic she's like no you in the driveway I see you come in the house and help mitigate with these kids but when is your first is different I was emotional to say the least I'm holding my baby girl tears are going this way it's going the other way up like I love you so much I was gonna preach one night in Florida you woulda thought I was gonna fight in Iraq for like ten here sounds like I care about you she was God she was smart and I get to the service that night I'm still emotional when I walk in and a guy by the name of Eddie James is leading worship and of all songs of all songs he's actually singing you're a good good father I don't even think I preached that night I just put up a picture of my daughter and said that's point 1 2 & 3 and I finished the service and I was in the green room afterwards talking to the worship leader Eddie and he said Robert Congrats on your daughter she's beautiful I said thank you I made her then said I've been said Eddie you know my daughter Evie might not have ever had been born if it wasn't for you Eddie looked at me like I had lost my mind I said Eddie you probably don't remember this but in December 2006 you were scheduled to lead worship and preach at Christ for the nation's Institute in Dallas Texas but in route to Dallas your van broke down on the side of the road Eddie goes I remember that night I said you picked up your phone and you called a man by the name of Adam McCain and you let him know that by the time your van would be fixed there was no way you would make the service so regrettably you had to cancel Adam McCain got off the phone with you and looked at a roomful of people and said Eddie James just cancelled for our Tuesday night student Chapel who in the world can we get last minute to fill his spot in that room was a man by the name of Brian Maine he lifts up his hand and goes I just heard this young guy named Robert madhu preach he's local here in Dallas maybe he can do it all of a sudden my phone rings and a voice on the other line says is this pastor Robert madhu I drop my voice real low and say say why as it is he says men I know this is crazy this is last minute but we just had a cancellation for our Tuesday night student Chapel is there any way you would be available to come and preach to our Bible College students now keep in mind during this time of my life I myself I'm a Bible College student at Southwestern Assemblies of God University so I said to Adam McCain you know what it seems like yesterday I was a Bible College student myself what an honor it would be to come impart to your young people from southwestern to Christ for the nation's Institute I'm about to get up to preach but before I get up they say it's Tuesday night so it's time for our Tuesday night testimony video we're gonna show a video of a student in our body whose life has been transformed by Jesus Christ and all of a sudden on the screen I see the finest girl with the strongest southern accent I have ever heard in my life and she starts telling her story of Jesus changing her life I don't meet the girl I preached that night at my school the next day walking down the hall a girl taps me on my shoulder and goes hey Robert I said it's pastor Robert module now she goes was that you that I saw last night getting ready to preach at Christ for the nation's Institute I say yeah they called me last minute they had a cancellation she goes oh my goodness oh my goodness did you see the girl on the screen telling her testimony before you got up to preach I said yes I did said I've known that girl for years I've known you for years and I always thought that you two would be perfect for each other but I never said anything but the fact that you were there preaching and they showed her video you too have got to me the next week that girl and I went on our very first date at the illustrious International House of Pancakes I said Eddie to make a long story short that girl's name was Taylor Mitchell is now Taylor Madhu we did what married people do Evie is the evidence of that Eddie I am so glad your van broke down on the side of the road [Applause] and I'll share that story this morning first of all to give some hope to the single people but also to say who in the world would have ever thought that Eddie and my Evie were connected because their connection is not one that is easily seen on the surface but once you begin to peel back the layers and dig down deep into the archaeological value of a person's life it becomes so clear that none of us get to live our lives in autonomy with just me myself and I but how many you know all of us are connected we are deeply connected oh come on miracles merge when miracles stories touch each other our lives are not straight lines our lives are links because all of us are connected and then it frustrates you when people you love don't understand this premise and they got the nerve to tell you don't worry about me don't worry about me you do you i'ma do me you'll do you i'ma do me and you want to look at that person to say well you doing you is affecting me because all of us are deeply and intrinsically and inextricably connected we're connected so I don't find a stranger mark chapter five mark begins by talking about this synagogue leader by the name of gyrus but in the middle of Genesis story were abruptly interrupted with the story of a woman with an issue of blood and the reason that mark has sandwiched these two stories together is because the two of them are connected deeply connected in fact to talk about jars to synagogue leader but to never discuss the woman with the issue of blood is really to do an injustice to the integrity of this text because the two of them are connected now not on the surface now if you just look at the surface of their lives they could not be more opposite come on if you look at the surface one of these things is not like the other come on let's just start with biology 101 gyrus is a man she is a woman hello gyrus is named in the text the Bible don't even give us this woman's name gyrus honored and respected this woman has been shamed and rejected gyrus is a ruler in the Jewish synagogue this woman can't even come near the synagogue because her sickness has made her ceremonially unclean the culture would suggest that gyrus is a fluid he's got some money in the bank this woman is broke busted and disgusted and has spent all she had on worthless physicians who have made her worse instead of better and we're in the text to the 21st century gyrus is driving a Benz this woman is riding the bus they have nothing in common on the periphery oh but yet life has put them in the exact same place posture and position because they both have been hit with something that they knew they could not handle Oh how many know life will do that life has a way of evening the playing field life is an equal opportunity employer life will hit you upside the head with some stuff come on that your friends can fix your money can fix your Instagram followers can fix your degrees can fix you can have more degrees than a thermometer life will hit you upside the head with some stuff some stuff that will take your breath away and might I suggest that if life has hit you with something that you know you cannot handle how many you know that thing is a job for Jesus that's time for you to just stop your hands and say god I don't know what to do about this impossible situation but surely you know what to do about it oh look at gyrus in this woman nothing in common on the surface both ended up in the same place having to push people out the way to get an appointment with Jesus they both had been physically move push people out the way to get an appointment with Jesus I'd expect to get a lot of a man's on that point cuz I know you wouldn't like it I knew you would like that because you want everything with God to come easy to come convenient on your time schedule you want God to show up like Amazon Prime it's 24 hours or less but can I tell you every once in a while in life you will have to push some things some people some mindsets out of the way so you can get something you've never gotten before come on you got to do something you've never done they both had to push people out the way I love it Cyrus is a pastor you're not supposed to push people I can see people there they're going hey Jairus I really loved your sermon the other day he's like you did good move Jesus I mean this woman is ceremonially unclean she's not supposed to be touching people she touched her body I'll tell you what a pushing they're pushing because desperate people do desperate things oh come on what you are really desperate for God to do something in your life you approach God differently when you are really desperate for a miracle for a breakthrough for him to do something that seems impossible you do not approach God casually when you are really desperate for God to show up come on you'll do a 21-day fast you'll be here at pre pre surface prayer you don't care if it's cold you'll fight through the traffic when you're desperate you'll lift up your hands you're saying loud you don't care whose nerves you getting on when you're desperate you'll mess up all that Mary Kay and Mac makeup and have the ugly face because there's something you need God to do there's something about desperation that God will often use to push you into your purpose if that God will use desperation to drive you into your destiny affect desperation hear me is the door that breakthrough walks through well I'm gonna say that again because that'll tweak I said desperation is the door that breakthrough walks through some people wonder how come I haven't gotten my breakthrough yet sometimes it's because you haven't got downright desperate enough for God to do it in your life we mentioned I've been traveling almost actually 15 years now and one of the quintessential questions I always get is people will say hey Robert where's your favorite place to preach your favorite place to preach and I always struggled to name a place because I want articulate to the person that the effectiveness of preaching and ministry has a little to do with an address or a destination of a place but everything to do with the attitude and the disposition of the people that are in the place come on I would rather preach in a basement with three desperate people then to preach on a beach with thousands of stuck-up bougie people who want to act like they don't need God to do anything in their life but if you give me desperate people I promise you miracles will break forth if you give me people who are desperate for God to do something oh he will show himself strong and mighty can we just take a praise break with somebody just give God some praise like you're actually dead sprint see some of y'all ain't desperate y'all can be quiet but if there's something you'll believe in God to do in your life and 2019 I need you to give him some praise like you're actually desperate for him to show up oh goodness I can work with that I'm attracted to people for - quit for me to show up oh that's what God can work with it was the rolling tides of desperation that brought gyrus and this woman both at the feet of Jesus I love it because they had nothing in common on the surface but yet they both ended up at the same place at the feet of Jesus desperate for him to do something help me know that's a picture of the church and the power of the gospel that we can come in here today with all of our differences on the surface but yet we all end up at the same place at the feet of Jesus desperate for him to do something in our lives are you bored yet okay because I would love to delve into the details of their desperation gyruss he gets to Jesus first and boys he desperate he's desperate because his baby girl his little girl is dying here that church she is dying so that means when he gets to Jesus he's approaching Jesus with a vocal intonation of the 9-1-1 caller he's not saying Jesus come to the house he's saying Jesus hurry up and come to my this woman is just as desperate but her situation has been going on for a while now it's chronic this hemorrhaging this bleeding that's occurring in her body and watch how much mark the gospel writer wants us to know that the two of them are connected cuz it just so happens that Jarvis's little girl who is dying is 12 years old and this woman with the issue of blood has been dealing with it now for Oh 12 years they are connected so you got a 12 year old dying daughter and a 12 year old disease a 12 year old dying daughter and a 12 year old disease so Church that means chronologically speaking the same year that this little girl was born was the exact same year that this woman was diagnosed with her disease that means cinematically speaking if Mark chapter 5 was a movie and the producers of this is us we're making the movie this would be the scene in the movie where it would flash from the feet of Jesus and say 12 years earlier and it would go to a hospital and walking out of that hospital would be gyrus his wife and them holding a brand-new baby girl smiling ear-to-ear with the full elation and joy of parenthood and then walking out of that same hospital perhaps is a woman tears coming down her face because she's just been diagnosed with a disease and the doctors don't know what to do about it and just maybe they were in the same hospital that day but didn't even see each other come on in there just like life see sometimes in life you can be so preoccupied with your promise or so preoccupied with your personal pain that you don't even see other people that are around you sometimes in life and especially in the church you can be so busy shouting and dancing over what God has done are so busy weeping over what hasn't come to pass yet that you're oblivious to other people that are around you people that God has put in your life for you to actually be a blessing to and can I suggest in this narcissistic individualistic selfie saturated society in which we live we've completely forgotten Romans chapter 12 that says you got to rejoice with those that rejoice and weep with those that weep oh come on somebody don't be so concerned about you to forget other people around you thank God for Jesus because the two people that didn't see each other at the hospital are now forced to see each other at the hem of his garment and now the two 12's are touching somebody say twelve oh come on say like you slept in a little bit say twelve come on sound like the Bears are gonna wear it say twelve no you don't need a Bible college degree you don't have to be a student biblical numerology to know that there are some numbers in the Bible that God has given you biblical Blue's Clues that these numbers are a big deal okay twelve is one of those numbers twelves a big number to God come on you remember in the Old Testament when God began his covenant with his people a covenant that commenced with a call of Abraham continued and Isaac but culminated in Jacob Jacob had not one not five not ten twelve sons those twelve sons represented the power and the authority of God's covenant with his people those twelve sons became the twelve tribes of Israel that represented the power the authority and the strength of that nation come on you remember in the Old Testament whenever the high priest would go into the Holy of Holies the presence of God he would stand there on behalf of the people of God but he would wear a breastplate that had twelve precious stones representing those 12 tribes of Israel okay y'all board let me fast-forward to the New Testament you know our New Testament high priest who is Jesus the first time we see Jesus teaching in the temple is at the age of 12 and they marveled at the wisdom and the power and the authority that came out of a twelve-year-old you remember when that twelve-year-old turned thirty and he got ready to pick his crew his homeboys his disciples if it was me I would have stopped at 11 but not Jesus he said I need a hater - come on Judas and he picked 12 dudes to roam the earth and gave all 12 of them power to heal the sick and raise the dead what is 12 12 is the number of God's power it's the number of God's authority oh do you know what Jesus is trying to teach us with the twelve he's trying to teach us what we're trying to say in this impossible series Jesus is saying I don't care if it's a blind eye a deaf ear or withered hand and issue a blood a storm sickness disease or even death itself there is absolutely nothing that you are facing that is not under the jurisdiction of my power and my authority I got the power and the authority come on somebody to do the impossible in your life this year somebody ought to give him some praise if you believe that thing he's got the power he's got the authority 12 is the number of his power but more specifically 12 is a number of his authority Authority can you just say Authority what why is that so important it's important because it is your awareness of God's authority that will determine how much you receive from him say it again it's your awareness of God's authority that will determine how much you receive from God see often we look at a text like this and we just reduce it to faith because he said daughter your faith has healed you and don't get me wrong faith is important how many know you need some faith come on faith is the substance of things hoped for it's the evidence of things not saying faith is our anchor but nobody takes an anchor and just throws the anchor in the water you gonna lose that I hear you better connect and tie that anchor to something and watch this my faith is connected to his authority the authority of his word the authority of his power that's what your faith has got to be connected to if you don't believe that God is the ultimate authority then your faith is gonna struggle because your faith and his Authority are connected some of you think you need more faith all just got to get more faith maybe that's why the impossible hasn't happened more faith your faith is good you know you just need mustard seed faith what you really need this year is an awareness of God's authority to know that he has the final say to know that when God says it that settles it when you can let your faith to that oh then your faith can go to a whole nother level you ain't got a faith problem you got no awareness of his authority problem because the two are Robert I'll give you some scripture you remember the disciples member when they're on the boat and it's a hurricane and the winds and the waves are going crazy and Jesus is chillaxing in the bottom of the boat in a hurricane just number just sound asleep and the disciples are having a panic attack and Jesus gets up in a a hurricane in a hurricane cool calm and collected because he's got sovereign swag and he just walks up to the edge of the boat in a hurricane and just goes mmm they still and in a moment the winds and the waves are calm and all the disciples jaws are on the floor and they go who is this man who is this man that even the wind's and the waves obey Him they marveled at his authority and what did Jesus say back to them oh you of a little your faith is little because you didn't have an awareness of my authority because if you knew who I really was if you knew who I really was you should have looked at me when I was asleep on the boat and said who is this man that is sleeping and snoring in the middle of a hurricane this storm ain't botherin him it ain't gonna bother me scoot over Jesus let me just cut it with you because if you ain't tripping about this you must know in the end we gonna make it and we gonna be all right I wish you were feeling this thing God is not stressing about what you're stressing about he's got power he's got authority you don't have a faith problem you have an awareness of his authority problem see you think you think the doctor is the final authority you think your cousin and him on a final thought hey well you know he's the ultimate authority your faith can go to a whole nother level can I give you a key give me a few more minutes watch this Jerris got a house call from Jesus because that was his awareness of his authority remember he worked in the temple he's a pastor basically a pastor he approaches Jesus just like a pastor he says Jesus please my baby girl is daya would you please come to the house we already got the worship music playing we got a big bottle of Crisco oil we just need you to come and lay your hands on her please lay your hands on these Pentecostal - he said lay your hands on her cuz that's my awareness of your authority that's how you hear would you come to the house Jesus goes there show awareness okay I'll come to the house this woman had a whole nother awareness of his authority she has Jesus you ain't gotta come to my house I ain't got time for that all I got to do is just touch the hem of your garment and I just touch things yeah I know I'm gonna be may ho that's what she got cuz that was her awareness of his authority but we're my Bible people and how many remember ass interior that had a whole nother awareness of God's Authority because that soldier rolled up on Jesus said hey Jesus I'm a man in authority and under Authority he says my servant is sick at the house and I'm not worthy for you to come to my house but if you'll just speak the word just send a word I know he's gonna be made whole and for the first time in scripture somebody got healed without Jesus even being in the proximity of them because somebody understood Authority I feel like I'm preaching better y'all are talking in here today oh and what did Jesus say to that Centurion never have I seen a faith like this and all of Israel in fact Jesus marveled at his faith coming of Jesus marvels at something you better pay attention to what makes Jesus marvel Jesus why you model that is faith cuz I finally got somebody that understands who has the real power and who has the real authority you don't got a faith problem you got an awareness of his authority problem worship team join me this might be one of the most important messages that you ever hear in your life and especially to kick off this series because here man if you don't believe that somebody is the ultimate authority then you're gonna doubt the validity of their words come on if I don't believe that you're the real authority then I'm gonna doubt your words so just think practically have you ever been at a restaurant or a place of business or on the phone with a company and they were telling you something that was contradictory to good customer service after all you just you get annoyed and you knew they're not the boss so you like can I please speak to your manager can I please speak to your supervisor Oh y'all don't do that at neighbor bill y'all SuperSave okay I do that aspect of managers I want to speak to the person that has authority in fact this happened to me not too long ago I had a reservation at a hotel had been booked for several months and the girl behind the desk starts looking up she's like I'm sorry mr. Madhu we don't know I don't see your name we don't have any reservation for you I said but it has been booked for several months she's like no I'm sorry I don't see it no I wouldn't can I please speak to your manager can I please speak to your supervisor the manager comes behind the door hello mr. Madhu good to see you again girl move I'm so sorry I'm she's new she's no she's in training let me see oh here's your reservation right here so I'm so sorry for this trouble that's all your trouble I'm gonna go ahead and upgrade you to an executive suite how did I go from about to be on the street to an executive suite because somebody with some authority oh no which button to push oh come on I hope you get so annoyed but what the devil is done to your family to your mind you just throw up your hands and say I need to speak to the supervisor I need to speak to the car and the Omega the first Oh somebody who knows is not power Authority would you give him the best claim that you got [Music] you know who's got the real authority when you know the God that can turn the impossible into the possible you can connect your faith to his authority and somebody especially at the beginning of this year you need to get like this woman with issue of blood who goes for 12 years for 12 years I've been speaking to middle level employees she goes I demand an appointment with the supervisor she pressed through the crowd and touched the hem of his garment immediately she was made home and I'd love to end the sermon right there already got my Showtime at the Apollo music playing behind baby don't forget that this woman and gyruss are connected and her healing was an interruption to Jesus's journey to Jarvis's house don't forget who got to Jesus first gyrus did he said Jesus please please my baby girl is dying would you please come to the house and healer Jesus says yes I'll go can you imagine the joy that field gyrus is heart when Jesus said I'll go to the house but the Bible is clear there is a crowd of people there a huge crowd of people there that day and don't forget he's got to get Jesus through this large crowd back to his house and time is of the essence because she's about to die so you know how you do when you're in a crowd as a lot of people he's like excuse me excuse me excuse me can you move excuse me no I got to him first excuse me excuse me that it's pushing people out the way and he periodically checks back to make sure Jesus has fallen in the crowd used to okay good come on follow me cheese excuse me excuse me excuse me move and all of a sudden he looks back and the text would suggest then he loses Jesus in the crowd he said where did he go kills me and he's pushes back and finally he sees Jesus in a crowd of people talking about who touched me just like are you serious right now I just told you this is an emergency you up here playing 21 questions what you may who touched you body touching yeah oh come on act like you ain't never been there before don't act like you've never cried out to Jesus said this is an emergency you need a hurry or they bout to take my car hurry up and he just taking his time asking random questions who touched me I wait wait for who knows how long for this woman to finally sheepishly come through the crowd she says it was me she probably thought he was going to kill her because understand he's a priest and in that context the unclean was not supposed to touch the clean it would make the clean unclean but Jesus was a different type of clean and a different type of holiness [Music] so Jesus just takes his time and starts talking to her says Guerra how you doing wild iris is waiting in fact the Bible says that she told him her whole story oh she told him her whole story she told him her huh come on ladies I love you but he never had a lady tell you her whole story go get you a comfortable seat that is gonna be all God have a do tell you his whole story he'll be like I'm good how long is this conversation and I can see the steam coming up with Jarvis's forehead like are you serious girl get your healing ego and that frustrating God makes you wait you told him it was an emergency not only did he have to wait he had to watch her get her healing if it's not frustrating enough to wait on your miracle what do you do when while you are waiting on your miracle God makes you watch somebody else get theirs and you got that big smile on your face like you got here hallelujah can we go now all this family tell us you waiting to be healed watching other people shout about their healing waiting to get married watching other people walk down the aisle waiting to have a baby and watching other people post pictures of their baby on Instagram what do you do when God makes you watch a miracle while you are waiting on your miracle because I felt God will often often make you watch a miracle while you're waiting on your miracle and it's not to discourage you because he's a good good father it's actually to encourage you to let you know that if God did it for them he can do it for you too oh come on that's why you all never hang on anybody don't be jealous about come on the same God that blessed you blessed me to Farmer give a place for your miracle cuz I thought we can do it for me too [Music] it's watching waiting here's the problem I'm glad you shouted at that I'm glad you shouted and I said if God did it for somebody else he can do it for you too because we say that a lot of church knowing God did it for me he could do it for you too hallelujah and it's true I think it's a bad idea og and attached to that statement because often what we say if God did it for me he can do it for you too we think that means he'll do it in the same way so if God blessed you with a house turn up he gonna bless me with a house in the same neighborhood and with the same square footage and I'm gonna measure Jesus so keep it even do it for you too but sometimes it won't be in the same way cuz gyrus and this woman hear me I'm almost done they both wanted the same thing healing gyrus didn't get a healing he got a resurrection where it sounds also don't clap too soon until you remember that the prerequisite for resurrection is death so can you imagine while he was waiting on his miracle and watching her get her miracle he feels the tap on his shoulder I said gyrus why bother the teacher anymore your daughter's dead when I heard that I felt gyrus is pain but I also realized that gyrus has horrible friends she haribol friends hashtag the worst friends on planet Earth watch out who you connect with this year because they told him his daughter was dead those were the facts they're terrible because of the commentary they added to the facts they say Chinese why bother I have to use this voice because they annoy me a gyrus why bother the teacher anymore she's already dead Gyrich why bother the teacher anymore in essence to saying gyrus this is the time to give up gyrus is impossible gyrus this is the place to quit watch out for people in your life that are so quick to tell you to give up on what God spoke in your spirit tell you to walk away from your dream or the promise God gave you how you gonna tell me to give up this ain't your daughter and how you gonna say don't bother the teacher you don't have an awareness of his authority he is more than a teacher he's a healer he's away maker he's a miracle worker and that he's the resurrection and the life so even death itself can't stop that's why he took gyrus back to the house he said this is not over walks in they already started the funeral he said why y'all crying this girl is not dead she's just a slave I came to tell somebody in 2019 that situation is not dead it is not over that marriage is not over that business is not over that child is not too far gone it's just a slave they laughed at him he said oh you think that's funny Aaron what are y'all then laughed I got a word for you get come on somebody help me close this message kids somebody needs to serve an eviction notice just some things this year and say you have attacked me enough I'm gonna take some authority and tell you two kids so fear to get out till anxiety to get out till depression to get out because some things won't get up to first some things get out God's gonna do impossible things this year but you got to check your environment first and as every head bowed every eye be closed father thank you for your word today Jesus thank you that you do the impossible thank you that you have all power and all authority the Lord use also given us authority the Lord right here at the beginning of 2019 we're gonna take that authority and check our environment but our we're gonna speak two things to people or two mindsets two addictions things that need to get out or so that the dead things can get up with heads bowed and eyes closed nobody move in if you're here today and you'd be so on to say you know what pastor Robert this is for me there's some things that I know cannot go with me and this year it's got to get out I know God can do the impossible but I've got to do what is possible and speak to some things that need to get out might be people sometimes it's yourself sometimes you got to speak to you and tell your own thoughts that always want to reject what God wants to do in your life tell those thoughts to get out you here today you say I know what that is and today with the help of the Holy Spirit it's got to get out would you lift up your hand I need to know who I came for yeah yeah hands are going up all over this place that I just lift it up put it right back down thank you Jesus heads are still bowed eyes are still closed if you're here today and you've never surrendered your life to Jesus I can think of no better time of the year especially right at the new year people are having resolutions that they're gonna quit by the end of next week you can actually have a new you by simply saying god I am tired of being on the throne of my own life you need to take your proper place as my Lord and my Savior so what heads bowed eyes closed I don't care is just one person if you've never surrendered your life to Jesus or maybe you need to rededicate your life to him on this Sunday I'd like to include you in this closing prayer would you lift up your hand if s you say that's me that's me yeah yeah see those hands I need to give him alive give him his proper place of authority lift it up put it right back down thank you God thank you can we pray this closing prayer we're all gonna say it as one big family but especially those of you who've responded say this from your heart say dear Jesus oh come on declare it say dear Jesus thank you so much from coming from heaven to earth and dying on the cross for my sin Jesus thank you for getting up from the grave with all power and all authority Jesus today I will take authority and I'll speak to things in my life that need to get out so that dead things can get up come into my life forgive me of my sin make me brand new I believe you to do the impossible because I'm connecting my faith to your authority in Jesus name Amen amen amen come on a few men what you pray give God
