and in that their presence he broke it and said this is my body that's broken for you would you pull back the first level of your receptacle if you lift that wafer above your head symbolizes the body of Christ and when it's in your hand would you just break it right in your hand that's what the enemy wanted to do to you in May but God kept you together the perfect sacrifice for all of us because he made himself a complete oblation as a sacrifice for our survival and poured the release of grace and the redemption of humankind would you please take a knee pulling back ever so carefully the second level of your receptacle Jesus pulled out a flask of wine said to his disciples this is my blood it shed for you theologians coined the word transubstantiation that everything that's in his blood is now in that cup we're thankful that the power of the blood of Jesus still has power it reaches to the highest mountain and it flows to the lowest Valley with a cup that's in your hand when life gets stressed out you don't have to reach for another cup while life is wearing you and pulling you into frustration the only drink you gonna need to take the edge off is already in your hands for the blood that was shed for you and for me will you please take a drink the disciples asks of the master what do we do when days are not sunny like this how should we respond when the enemy catches us off guard teach us master how to pray together collectively let us pray the Lord's Prayer our Father amen would you do me a favor gift gone to Thanksgiving praise for I want you to hug [Music] [Music] I want to invite if I can I want to invite all of our 2019 graduates to the altar all of our 2019 graduates you graduated from kindergarten from sixth grade from eighth grade bachelor's master's PhD hair school technical school new perk y'all gotta make some noise for all of these graduates [Applause] [Music] [Applause] well we got a brilliant church LC all these scholars coming [Applause] [Music] you graduated from the any level I want you to meet us here kid in the gardener's sixth graders eighth graders [Applause] Lord in this inspiring come on give God praise for they still come in New Birth come on come on [Applause] y'all got to make some more noise than that [Applause] [Music] new birth would you stretch your right hand to faith towards all of our graduates all of our graduates of you lift both of your hands towards heaven we just want to pray for you pray that God will open up opportunities that will match your sacrifice God will give you the desires of your heart but God has blessed you so that you might be a blessing pray that God will anoint you for marketplace ministry that would ever feel that you are endeavoring to pursue that God will give you an opportunity to represent him whether that's in a boardroom or in a cult in a classroom we're praying that God will exceed your expectation there you'll be able to achieve what nobody in your family has never been able to accomplish I pray that God will take away the weight the stress and the weary that will in fact so easily try to present you not one moment of frustration but that God is gonna grant you a peace that passes all understanding I pray that God will so bless you that you will bless somebody else to follow your lead to do what you were able to accomplish through his spirit may God keep you humble enough for you to realize it is not because you're so brilliant but because he's so good those of you who stand in agreement for the success and for the victory of all of these graduates I want you to please give God a cheer for all of them now [Applause] many of them are going on to careers others are going on to secondary education and even more finally going to follow their path as they go back to their seats from wherever it is that they've come from in this sanctuary I want you to cheer for them but I want to give you a caveat I want you to cheer for them like this is a Negro high school graduation yeah yeah y'all done Gaeta emory clap i need i need y'all to cheer for them like you excited for you go back to your seats come on give God some praise for excited as I am that today a new birth for the first time we are initiating our scholarship program today we are releasing ten scholarships the brand in Tikal with legacy scholarship for 2019 10 high school seniors all have exemplified exemplary academic excellence community service and faithful service here at new birth I'm going to call these 10 the individuals names they're going to come and I want you to cheer for them and get excited for them all ten of them we are awarding today a $1000 scholarship y'all not happy about it [Applause] Hannah Jackson [Applause] Hannah Jackson is a recent high school graduate come on Hannah Nupur if y'all get excited she's going to George Washington University majoring in international affairs Petra Williams is going to East Tennessee State University biology pre-med major right Petra de Lisa Prince [Applause] is going to Georgia College State University as an art major give God Hank Lempa praise for Cardale smart is going to Berklee College of Music pursuing a double major in vocal music and music education Ariella Parmer going to Georgia State University as a psychology major [Applause] shaniyah price is going to Georgia State University about what churches are not doing I want you all to help us make this viral that we were able to do this on today to honor these graduates we are overwhelmingly excited about them we have mr. Sam burst and we're you by the birthday would you come please thank you sir mr. Sam Burstyn is the vice president of Clark Atlanta University and on behalf of a new birth we wanted to give a seed today for $5,000 to Clark Atlanta University come on y'all got to make some noise for I want to ask mr. person if you'll back up I want you right in that line with them all of you if you'll take a picture on the count of three I'm getting out of the picture new birth were to give him a big cheer please now y'all thought we were finished we are not done mr. church in July we will do a registration for it on the next Sunday is that next Sunday yes next Sunday but she just saw was she what we were doing and is adding a number 1000 dollars to our scholarship thank you now where is where's my chair the chair the scholarship committee yes where she go oh yeah come on thank you thank you mail so as you all know new birth we kicked off the fundraising initiative for Bennett College they were desperately in need to raise about five million because of our push they were able to raise nine million dollars come on y'all got it come on come on and the spirit dropped on me we cannot be in Atlanta the epicenter of HBCUs and not be a blessing and so I've given this committee our charge and a challenge and I hope that we will step up to the plate everything I've asked you to do in the last six months not only have we met it but we have surpassed it and so this is our first initiative now we've given out $10,000 we're with our donation to Clark Atlanta University $15,000 and here's where you got to be able to really celebrate we did it with no extra fundraisers [Applause] now some of y'all can't clap let me tell you who ought to be clapping all the Tigers would you make some noise all [Applause] so we were able to give $15,000 over and beyond our expenditures of our ministry to be able to do this next year I've challenged our wonderful chair next year we're gonna give away $50,000 in scholarships y'all ain't got that kind of faith $50,000 in scholarships because we are mindful we're mindful that now student loan debt he has surpassed credit card debt and our young people are going broke ever even before they ever get a chance artists out in their life you may be seated for one moment I need you to be seated not because I'm getting ready to pray but because I need you to find your checkbook thank you and so we're getting ready to start off today our scholarship fund I'm gonna ask those of you who are part of the class of 2020 would you stand you're a part of the class of 2020 would you stand y'all ain't clapping for them [Applause] so this is not a part of our regular tithes and offerings but today we want to start off and kick off our new birth scholarship fund all so that we're able to be a blessing to deserving students and might I add for unconventional students because we want to be a blessing because a lot of people who want to education are not seventeen y'all ain't saying nothin to me amen and so we want to make sure that we are able to offer affordable education even for our returning citizens even for single mothers who want to be able to go back even for our brothers who are just getting their focus later on the in life I am a recipient of a GED and if it wasn't for HBCU I never would have had an opportunity for higher education come on now and so we got to be mindful fannie lou hamer said we sing we shall overcome so that we can reach back and help somebody else come over and so I want every person if you can if you'll join me in giving a seed offering even our dear friends who are watching online I want you to partner with us this is wonderful what we're doing today but I want to do triple this on the next year and with your partnership and alignment and agreement I will be able to do it I want you to get a seed in your hand I want you to get an offering in your hand please a sacrifice in your hand what you make happen for other people God will make happen for you hallelujah you'd want somebody to make a sacrifice for you you'd want somebody to make a way for your children for your child I do no less on this day for generation who is coming behind us who still want to pursue higher education they are those of you in this room that can give a seed of $1,000 and won't even blink our dear sister from Google doesn't even go to our church but sees the vision and sold right into it there others of you that can do the exact same thing I want to let me do this because I can't let her coming to our church and and do that I - I want to give a seed of 1,000 towards our scholarship committee and I'm going to I'm gonna ask those of you it's probably three more of you that can join us and given that seed of $1,000 toward scholarships could you come meet me at the altar the three others of you that can do that I want you to come do it as quickly as you possibly can three others of you that can make that kind of sacrifice and say pastor I believe that your children are the future I want to teach them well I want to show them the way come on I'm share with you I thought it was a compelling and intriguing and arresting and I wanted you to see it a clip of a commencement address from Viola Davis let me tell you some about poverty you're invisible nobody sees the poor you have access to nothing you're no one's demographic you know what my aha moment was I had a memory when I was 9 years old I put my hands together and said God if you exist if you love me you'll take me away from this life I can remember what it means to be a child who was hungry I could remember what it means to be in trauma I could remember poverty alcoholism I could remember what it means to be a child who dreams and sees no physical manifestation of it I could remember because I lived it I was there and that has been my biggest gift and serving I want you to lift that hand I want everything you've dreamed to have manifestation I don't want your children to be robbed of the any opportunity I want your children to have the unfair advantage called favor I want the generational curse of poverty to be permanently eliminated from your family bloodline I pray that God will open up wealth opportunities for every person connected to this ministry that God will do exceedingly abundantly beyond which you can think dream hope or even imagine the demon of poverty is destroyed because of the working of the cross of Calvary and those of you that believe that God is anointing you so that you can serve I want you to give God a hand clap a praise for it even now now don't clap if you haven't lived through an impoverished chapter but if you went through a season of your life where you weren't sure how you were gonna make it how you are gonna survive how you would maintain how you would sustain don't give God glory but if you know if it had not been you are blessed to be a blessing did you hear what I just said you are blessed to be a blessing I want you to look at the person beside you and tell them you are blessed to be a blessing God is not blessing you so that you can be selfish he's blessing you so somebody else won't have your struggle is he's blessing you so somebody else won't have to dig in as hard as you did nobody said the road was gonna be easy but I don't believe he's brought us this far to leave us now new birth I want to challenge you even in this moment that you will secure your offering envelopes want you to get it in your hand I don't know how you can serve God and not tithe I don't know how it is that you can witness the hand of God firsthand and still not soul into this right soil called new birth after it is that you're seeing and witnessing how it is that God is blessing us beginning on June 30th I want you to be mindful of this beginning softly musicians beginning on June 30th we're going into our Knicks outreach project and new birth I need all hands on deck we are collecting 2,000 pairs of brand-new back-to-school shoes come on I can't hear anybody said 2,000 pairs of back-to-school shoes 70% of the children who live in this county are getting free lunch or reduced lunch parent liver beneath the poverty level and we want to make sure that they are stepping into success beginning on the last Sunday of this month the last Sunday of this month I want you to begin bringing brand new shoes to church on Sunday not gently use brand new shoes here is the caveat that I want to ask and extend to you all for grace I don't care what it is that you bound with you bound ordens whether you bound Darksiders I don't care all I ask is don't buy shoes you wouldn't put on your own kids are y'all ain't saying nothing to me if your own children don't wear Payless don't bring pay less in here we want to collect 2000 pairs of brand-new back-to-school shoes for children of DeKalb County our school superintendent is over the moon excited and elated that we're leading this initiative how we're gonna be doing a back-to-school service for them and their families of DeKalb County here in our church the first Saturday in August first Saturday in August there's two days before the first day of school our superintendent will be here we're gonna be praying over every pair of shoes I said we praying over every pair of shoes there whoever feels those shoes and not running away from home will not be in human trafficking will not be on the corner y'all not saying nothing to me will not be dealing drugs will never be in shock trauma how many of you all believe that God is gonna help us to do it 2000 pair of shoes we're gonna be able to meet that goal and not just meet it but we're going to exceed that number we're gonna be doing canvassing all throughout DeKalb County to let them know that this is going to be taking place Department of Social Services are gonna be aware and alerted of it as well at the beginning on the last Sunday of June I need you to stop bringing those shoes so that we can have an accurate accurate count form we're going to supply children from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade so it doesn't matter what size you have so beginning on the second Sunday of July we'll have an assessment as to whether we need more boy shoes or more girl shoes and where were derelict of certain and specific sizes of an asset you'll please please please help us to do this so that we can be a blessing what a difference it is going to make for these young people's lives that they'll know that there is a church in DeKalb County that believes in us and wants to see me with no shame no bullying and no embarrassment come on somebody give God glory if you excited about the work of our church those of you who are watching online and you are a part of our cyber sanctuary cyber community start mailing those shoes into our church on the last Sunday of June the last Sunday of June I ask that you'll please get your tithe in your hand your offering in your hand please there's a principle called the law of first mention the law of first mentioned sets the precedent of everything that happens after friends this is the first Sunday of June you are sitting the standard for the rest of the month did you hear what I just said I say you were setting the standard for the rest of the month you're believing by faith that what this seed is going to do is gonna unlock a treasure trove or blessings in heaven so that not one day in junior you gonna live in insufficiency not one day in June are you gonna know what Lac looks like I want you to get that offering in your handout dear friends who are watching online I want you to partner with us get your tithe in your hand I'm believing my faith as pastor that the entire church is gonna be tithing by the end of August I can't hear anybody else at the entire church it is my dream I've shared with our leaders I'll share with you again it's my dream that we'll be able to be a church that on the first Sunday we handle all bills and every other Sunday will be just for outreach are y'all ain't got that kind of faith I [Applause] cannot believe for the life of me that God wants us to have church just to paid a power bill just to pay a mortgage y'all not saying anything I'm but I'm believing that the real work of the ministry is if I can help somebody as I pass along if I can cheer somebody with the word or with a song then my living will not be in vain and now that you have that offering in your hand lifted above your head please dr. Benjamin Mays said that there's a crown above your head you've got to grow tall enough to where you're not even the size of your gift yet not even the size of your assignment yet not even the size of your opportunity yet but this seed is getting ready to stretch you to meet that goal lift up your phone even if you're giving electronically if you're giving through cash share giving free push pay chapter 20 verses 7 through 12 X 20 Matthew Mark Luke John amen some of y'all over at Ecclesiastes X in a New Testament Acts chapter 20 I want to illuminate for your understanding verses 7 through 12 X 20 verse 7 through 12 honored couple drove here all the way from Minnesota to come be a new birth today I don't know I don't know where you all are standing can you lift your hands married couple thank you all come on new birth give God a cheer for them for coming safely have you pastor john heath is here give God a hand clap of praise worshiping from California grateful for him Acts chapter 20 verse 7 through 12 on the first day of the week we came together to break bread Paul spoke to the people and because he intended to leave the next day he kept on talking until midnight there were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting and seated in a window was a young man named eutychus who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on when he was sound asleep he fell to the ground from the third storey and was picked up dead Paul went down threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him don't be alarmed he said he's alive they went upstairs again and broke bread and ate after talking until daylight he left the people took the young man home alive and was greatly comforted would you go back to verse number nine I've Acts chapter 20 seated in a window was a young man named eutychus who was sinking into a deep sleep because Paul wouldn't stop preaching he got so deep into sleep he fell out the window fell three stories down hit the pavement and was dead you may be seated I want to preach for a little while today using as a subject I'm tired at his church I'm tired at his church no matter what the harka textual design the biggest door in most churches today is the back door from those who were in attendance but made an unannounced exit the varied and unexplained reasons a testimony was transcribed at a nondescript Worship Center where young ladies set up a meeting with her pastor to formally terminate her membership the cleric query as to why in which she was gonna leave the church she wrote out a litany of displeasures but why she hated the church from the women gossiping the praise team being petty the men had roaming eyes and the youth were underutilized the pastor completely unphased bargained with her and said before you leave our church would you do me a favor she acquiesced and asked her the pastor what is it that you want me to do she said take a full glass of water and walk around the church three times without spilling a drop on the ground and if you accomplish this there'll be no further debate and I'll let you leave the sister accepted the challenge walked around the entire circumference of the church as she was dared to do and never dropped any of the water the Hastur extended congratulations and then propositioned one question the pastor asked at the young lady while you were walking around the church with this cup of water did you happen to hear any women gossiping she said no says why are you walking around the church did you notice any of the men googling you she said no so when you walked around that church for the third time did you happen to notice or pay attention to any of the youth daydreaming she said no the pastor said do you know why you didn't and she hesitantly retorted back no I have no idea the pastor chimed in see your focus was on the glass and because you were focused on your walk and making sure you didn't stumble and fall you didn't have time or energy to pay attention to what other people are doing too many of you are missing the reason why we are in worship you should be caught up on who sitting next to who or who's got their hair done or who got what on if your focus is on Jesus and not on what other people are doing you will be so consumed with your walk with Christ you don't have time to focus on other people in a video that went viral this summer little boy believed to be seven or eight he's propped up in the pulpit passed a microphone in order to deliver some sort of some oration play a part in the program absent of any inkling of reverence he pollutes in the microphone in absolute disgust I'm tied at his church then proceeds to stomp down the center aisle as if he had a car to drive or had somewhere to go the clip was passed around and reposted all across social media most laughed the very few zoomed in to do actual critical analysis the sentiments of that seven-year-old are seemingly shared by the vast majority of 16 to 34 year olds who have collectively concurred that the church carries no currency within their generational community it is amazing that this is the largest number of Africans living in America who say that they believe in God but will not align themselves with a community of faith the Barna Group who conducted an exhaustive study that has unearthed startling discoveries have to figured out some of the reasons that contributed to the spiritual epidemic known as lethargy and I want to underscore for you this morning three reasons why it is your children don't come to church with you three reasons why it is that we've got two generations in church old people and babies three reasons why it is that the church is getting older and dying off younger and still not letting its voice be heard the first reason why it is that many Millennials Gen Xers and Generation Z are not coming to church the first reason why they are not coming to church any longer they now that the church is irrelevant route magazine which is my generations Eponine magazine has for the third straight year publish their route 100 of the 100 most influential African Americans and for the third consecutive year I would have you to know that not one pastor is on the list and it's amazing that black lives matter is the very first civil rights movement in the history of our people that is not led by a religious figure Nipsey Hussle had more influence than any preacher that is presently alive you don't understand why it is that your children do not see the church as relevant maybe in part because they do not hear the church say anything about the issue around abortions the church is saying nothing about gender equality the church doesn't speak to gentrification the church does not address the Prison Pipeline the church does not educate about vaccinations the church does not try to address affordable higher education the church seems to be absolutely oblivious to global warming the church does not participate in diasporic trade the church does not foster a spirit of entrepreneurship the church doesn't say anything about food deserts the church does not give any redress to health disparity the church doesn't do anything about infant mortality the church never speaks up about red line of zip codes the church doesn't say anything about special education and the roaring numbers of autism and asthma the church does nothing about curbing unemployment Church does nothing about literacy whether it be educational or financial the church does not participate in economic development but every time they come to the church they're met with a bake sale of fashion show anniversary angular or the pastor's picture and can't find anything that is relevant about community building and so while it is that the church keeps building buildings we say nothing while our communities become dilapidated and so they get tired of it because we have become a church that speaks in tongues but doesn't speak truth to power we are Church that is open on Sunday morning but goes dark and dismal and drastically disconnected Monday through Saturday your children and young adults will not come to church because your proper politicians to come speak at election time but they don't see any time in-between to give any address to what's taking place in their community the church has become irrelevant because we want to go along to get along with everybody as if we have forgotten that the real responsibility of the church is to speak truth to power even at the risk of being offensive the church ought to be at a place where we make people upset and angry because we are preaching the real unadulterated gospel of Jesus Christ in 1969 J Edgar Hoover said that the Black Panther Party was the most dangerous obstruction to democracy in America and at the time the Black Panther Party only had 300 paid members what does that now say about the onslaught of these mega churches that don't even have an FBI profile because we won't say anything about what's taking place in the community because we glad to have pictures at City Hall and at the governor's mansion when you don't understand that your responsibilities in the role of the prophetic is to let them know you cannot street oppress people that kind of way and think we just gonna roll over and play dead and say absolutely nothing I don't know how y'all feel about it that might be true for every other Church but that is not the case for new births because new birth is a church in the words of Hosea Williams that his son bought it is unbossed and I get all of your emails wanting to know pastor Brian why in the world every time you get up you say something about black people Pastor Brian why every time you stand up you preach and about african-americans Negroes you one up up and you ought to know that you would never go to a synagogue and the synagogue not talk about Jewish people every time you come in this church you ought to be hearing something that's gonna empower you so who you the church has become irrelevant secondly the church has become intimidated it is hard to have earnest conversations with people who have closed minds but open mouths the church is guilty of killing what it can't comprehend we get upset over every little thing that goes against our culture and confuse culture for scripture y'all not saying nothing to me but many of us are guilty of typecasting people as if gay as if grace has limitations just because somebody smells like we don't mean they don't know Scripture just cuz they got pink purple and green heya don't mean that they don't have a prayer life and just because they got piercings don't mean that they are absent of purpose you gotta get rid of your bougie superficial shallow self and understand that there's a cross for everyone and all the world has got a bow down at his name just because you got on a three-piece suit and stiletto heels that don't make you make you righteous I'd rather have somebody we'll cut off jeans and flip-flops got a pure heart what Brice is supposed to look like as Christians we have to learn how to disagree without being disagreeable God has not given us the spirit of fear and so when we know the Word of God and it is rightly divided we ought to be able to speak to anybody at any time about anything just because you don't agree with them doesn't mean that God still loves them y'all ain't saying nothin to me I was convicted in my own a former church I was in off the back of my church shaking hands up one Sunday and a young man 19 20 years of age I hugged him as I did every Sunday and said man I love you he said pastor you love me I said man I do love you says that you won't love me pastor I said what why do you think I don't love you say you don't love me cuz I'm gay and I heard you preach against gays I said sir I need you to know that I love you even when I don't agree with you [Applause] and though some of y'all scared right now but it is not my job to be politically correct I'm supposed to be spiritually correct and we gotta get to a place where we gotta be able to love people even when we don't agree with them even if they are gay or lesbian sto your son they're still your daughter yeah y'all ain't sayin nothin to mean I want to say to you you are welcome at this church because I cannot preach against homosexuals when I got reckless heterosexuals so something has gotta be in order about how we deliver the grace of God [Applause] people don't come to church because the church has become irrelevant the church has become intimidated and the church has become impotent there is no power in the present Church there's a problem with you come to church and if you hear the pastor's name more than the Savior's name yeah I said it if you hear Jamal Bryant more than Jesus Christ's then this has become a temple of idolatry I don't want you to get caught up with me cuz I'm gonna let you down I'm gonna make some mistakes I'm a fall short of his glory but if you look to the hills from whence cometh your help you go to some churches you hear music for 30 minutes and it feels more like a performance because there is absence of glory there's a whole lot of announcements but there are no declarations motivational speaking has taken the place of authentic gospel preacher so we got three steps to a turnaround five steps to prosperity two steps of Jesus to glory but nothing to get you to salvation so people get upset because we spend all this time opening the doors of the church for people to get saved and for people to get their lives right with God I need you to know if in fact you want motivational speaking go find Les Brown or mr. Roberts if you want good gospel music please please whatever you do please whatever you do just go and listen to the radio but if you want to see demons get destroy you wanna see yokes get broken you wanna see heaven open up this is the place where God is gonna put his foot on the ground [Applause] a contemporary church has no signs and wonders we just got slideshows and camera phones I came up out of an ad that folk with throw there came down we'd get up out of the wheelchair people who were deaf in one ear could finally hear the name of Jesus I know some many y'all are trying to be cute but I was raised in a generation where you had to stay at the altar to you felt something you had to keep speaking his name until something was broken loose I was a part of a church where you will come on Sunday morning then come back at 3:30 in the afternoon and eat chicken in the fellowship haha I was a part of a church where you didn't have a choice you had to be on the uh support or the choir or you had to be in the prayer ministry but now you just come to be entertained okay for somebody that understood I don't know what you came to do [Applause] [Music] [Applause] it was long ago long ago in Acts chapter 20 next shefter 20 a group gathered to explore the truths as espoused by the Apostle Paul then the third story duplex apartment complex department that they were in was big enough to be able to hold those who had gathered to worship because at this time the Christians are being persecuted and are being being hidden because the government is after to kill them because they are threat to obstruct destruction the Apostle Paul had a lot that he wanted to impart but because he was balancing limited time before he had to leave to go to his next location Paul was absent of time management the stenographer who's in the Bible study stops even looking at the watch past midnight all he writes for us that Paul just keeps on talking and he just kept on talking and seated in the window is a young man by the name of Eutychus who's trying to stay awake John stay awake trying to be respectful I can only assume his mother in some way in there because he don't leave he stays there now and he's sitting by the window hoping to catch a draft hopefully a fresh wind can keep him awake but the preacher just keep on talking and just keep on talking and Eutychus is getting tired he is in a place of power but he is tired saintly everybody is just for a few of you a lot of people have no idea how much work energy and effort it is for you to just keep staying in church god help me yes it's a terrible thing because most of the ministry and the impartation and the prophecies that go forth are for seekers and for new believers and nobody ever says a word but those who have been standing in the gap and just get tired and you'll know how to adjust don't know how to pivot because people are used to you being strong they don't know how to handle your weak moment people who are grounded are easily irritated because you quote in to me scriptures I already know you giving me prayers that don't even have any real power so I got to keep going through the motions because I know how to encourage other people but I've lost the capacity to be able to encourage myself I stopped really praying for real for real because I ain't seen God do nothing I don't really fast unless the church calls for it I don't really read the word unless I got to teach a lesson and I'm getting tired and I'm talking to some people in this room who love God but you getting tired of church you don't like jumping through the hoops you don't like playing politics you don't like dealing with people's core P personalities you don't like folk trying to judge you when they don't even know you you get tired of Church in your mind you keep wanting to quit cuz you ain't learning nothing you feel like it's all at the remedial level everything is still that kindergarden and you've got a graduate understanding of the word of God and you're too mature to turn to your neighbor and lonely do it and shake my name his hand I want to know is there a revelation for my life said it's going to help me live through another week without me killing somebody or hurting myself I get tired of coming to church and I got a temper myself off because I feel myself getting cynical I can now tell who's phony who's fake who's running to get attention and who trying to be seen and couch on the position for a place of authority pastor help me tie the church in here it ain't it I don't love God I'm just tired of dealing with all of it folk folk folk judging me because of what I got on people I'm thinking that they know me because they know one slice of my testimony I I get tired of the church that folk will look at me cockeyed if I don't know the songs if I don't know winner stand up if I got a special seed what what happened to man looked at the outer appearance but God looks at the heart I get tired of the church of just going through the motions and just feel like like this is what I do on Sunday but my spirit is not being stretched my mind is not being in lumen my focus he's not being sharp in my revelation he is not being confirmed I'm getting tired of church pastor you gonna have to do something cuz I feel myself slipping I've been doing well for a while but recently I'm entertaining thoughts that I haven't always had I feel drawing the stuff I thought I had gotten bad I'm making myself available to people that God had already delivered me from I'm getting tired I'm smiling when I feel like cussing I'm tired like everything is alright when I feel like punching somebody in the face I'm tired I'm feeling like I gotta pretend and not be honest about how I feel [Applause] eutychus gets so tired and he falls asleep and falls out the window new but if you ain't gonna believe it and falls down three stories I'm gonna say to somebody who's watching online you cannot fall out of the environment of worship and think you'll stay on the same level for those who have an authentic legitimate relationship with God you understand how necessary fellowship is y'all ain't saying nothing to me every now and again I gotta be in the presence of other worshipers so I can remind myself ain't the only one going through but here's some other people that need His grace just like me so if you come to church and you don't feel like some don't sit next to me cuz imma get on your last nerve but I came to give God glory [Applause] falls asleep and when he falls out falls asleep he falls out the window the bible says to us picture wistfully he falls down three stories hits the cement sidewalk and that's the only thing that made paul stop preaching Paul stop preaching here this and goes down three flights of stairs and does something that the contemporary church has failed to do he got on the young man here it is and covered up my problem with some of your church folk if you stick with people until they gotta fall and then when they gotta fall you ain't never made a mistake the Salvation Army is the only high me that leaves wounded soldiers when I am going through that ain't the time for you to leave me I need you to cover me until I can get myself together I need you to help me right through here I need you to just tap the person in front of you and tell them I got you covered until right now until right now you sitting beside the wrong person soon as you mess up that person they gonna leave you but you gotta find somebody that says I know it is like to make a fall but I also know what it's like forgot to pick you back up again and I only want those of you that have made some Falls in your life here's your shout that should've killed [Applause] [Music] the Paul goes down and he makes an announcement don't be alarmed he is alive the boy had to fall fell three stories should have died right there and dead but the man of God made an announcement I know what's going on with your son should have killed him but don't be alarmed the power of God is gonna restore your son I don't know where y'all are but you ought to be shouting for
