hi and welcome we're going to do a take off an ils landing with the cessna citation cj4 let's get started i'll show you how to set it up from the world map we're going to do a flight from a manchester eg cc to egl and heathrow first we'll go up to manchester i'm going to left click it hit set as departure then i'm going to go up to here on set arrival airport i'm going to put in egl it should bring me up here from going to left click that we've got that selected as the arrival now what we're going to do is we're going to go up to the top left here i'm going to select low altitude airways we're only doing a short flight so we're going to be flying from manchester to heathrow we've got our runway in but i want to do it from a parking spot see if i can use parking spot 2 you'll see that available here parking spot 2 from manchester on the arrival what i'm going to do is just change the approach i'm going to make it ils27l ils27l left click that once and now that's selected and that's it that's all we need to do from this point you can click fly so let's cold and dark start this plane in 12 clicks we're going to click once here to hide the yoke we're then going to go up to here we're going to click once to turn the batteries on we're going to go down to here and we're going to click on left engine starter right engine starter while we're waiting we're going to go up here i'm just going to click on wing turn wing light on and then i'm going to go up to here i'm just going to turn on the avionics once we've done that we've got two covers to open one two then i'm gonna click on the right engine and then i'm gonna click on the left engine i'm gonna close that cover and close that cover give it some time but your plane is now started the final click we need to do is just down here to take the parking brake off well done good job now taxi to the runway and hold short if we have a look at our approach chart we can see that we're landing at runway 27 left at london heathrow using ils we can see the ils code is down here 109.50 it is bearing 271 degrees and it has a glide path of about three degrees so we've now got our ils code 109.50 this information will be also in the description of the video now i want to give you the skills to enter the nav code for this plane i'm going to go down to here now there's a lot of buttons but what we're looking for is along the left we've got t u n t u n left click that once in here it'll bring up radio tuning we can begin to enter our number one zero nine you do push the dot i push the dot five zero it should come up down here 109.50 if you hadn't saw a mistake you can hit here clear and go backwards and then re-enter the number 0.50 to make it the new number at the moment we've got 111.30 we click the button to the left of that on here i left click that you'll notice now it says 109.50 this is now the active number you now know how to enter the ils code now we've entered our list frequency we're going to do one more thing and as increase our selected altitude we go up to here i'm just going to hover above it and then use the mouse wheel to change the number i'm going to change this number to 8 000. you can see the number changing over here now all we have to do is take off deploy your takeoff flaps takeoff speed should be about 140. put your gear in and then bring your flaps in with f5 now we need to activate the autopilot so first we're going to click up here for ap autopilot then i'm going to click over here on nav one left click on turn that mode on then i'm going to have a look we can see our speed down here if i click on this button it'll increase our speed to the matched speed we have and then i can click on flc to turn flc mode on it will now hold that speed the plane will rise up to 8 000. the plane is gently climbing when the plane reaches 8000 it'll change to altitude hold and it will do this by itself if you look up here it should now say alt cap and if you hover the mouse above alt it'll say turn altitude mode hold off which means it's currently on so altitude hold mode is now on we can get some useful information from down here if we click on legs we can see all the different stages and if we click on next we can jump through the different steps in our trip you will notice these names over here will match up with the vfr map so where it says d127k we can see over here d127k we can then hit next and we can go to the next page and we can see a d11270 which matches up with this d127s which matches up with this usr now interestingly on the right we can see our flight level so it says at d127k we need to be at 7000 feet by d1270 thousand feet and then we're going down still six thousand feet until we get to usr we're at three thousand five hundred feet then we decrease down to ill-10 to three thousand feet which we can see over here then we've got cf27l we want to be at 2500 feet you can also bring up additional information over here if we click over here on lower menu it'll bring up a menu here scroll above this and use the mouse wheel to navigate we want to go down until it's above map symbols then left click on push select you'll see at the top option is constraints push select again and you'll now see on the map we've got our altitudes we need to be at so seven thousand six thousand six thousand three thousand five hundred three 3000 2500 and heading on down towards the runway so that's some additional information for you to get out of the menu just click the lower menu again and again and you're back out at this time enjoy the flight and the amazing scenery let's review our chart for today so we can see that we have a glide path of three degrees and at this point here where there's a little star up here d7.5 we need to be at 2500 feet and then we're going to descend down from 2500 feet at the glide path of 3 degrees and a bearing of 271 degrees down to the runway we're going to be landing at runway 27 left you can adjust the map zoom by looking up here if you hover above this it will say adjust map zoom and use the mouse wheel you'll notice it'll change the information down here i'll scroll back and we can zoom in again let's talk about what we need to do next at the moment we just have the autopilot on altitude hold mode on and nav mode on as we get closer we will need to push this button here approach turn approach mode on and we also need to look over here up the top left where it has nav this nav will change the fms to loc1 we need to cycle this button until it says loc1 we're clicking that nav button there two buttons we're going to have to click soon in the meanwhile we can click on flight director by turning that on here so now we need to start descending to 7000 go up here and we're going to change the alt to 7000 then going to click on vs and then we're going to click down the plane should start descending continue to descend as required we want to reach 3000 feet by ill-10 also remember to get your gear out and deployed and your flaps out manually control your speed with the throttle it's the last turn on ill-10 we're now going to click the two buttons we're going to click approach and we're going to click nav by clicking approach here should say approach mode on then going over to here i'm going to click on nav here once it should change down here to say loc1 lac1 and we'll follow the glideslope down to the runway it should look something like this at this point the autopilot will be taking the plane down to the runway using the glideslope lisa we have to get ready to click one button we're going to have to click on autopilot here to disable the autopilot then we just hand fly the plane in to land we can see the runway up ahead landing speed should be below 120. for the autopilot and then fly it in click on autopilot you have now successfully landed taxi to parking now we just need to shut the plane down we are going to shut down quickly we'll look down here we'll open the left cover and the right cover we'll turn off the left engine by clicking here and turn off the right engine by clicking there then we're going to go up to here i'm going to turn the battery to off we're going to turn the avionics to off a few seconds you'll notice from the outside the engines will be shut down and the lights will go out now you just need to put on the parking brake you'll find the parking brake down here if you enjoyed the video or found it entertaining maybe consider subscribing i really appreciate all subscriptions you can also comment and like the video
