are you excited to be in a house of transformation tonight so tonight i want to first of all thank pastor and pastor datta for the privilege to come and speak to you guys um on a very heavy topic um the theme for today is unlimited as we know but today specifically we'll be going through what it means to be unlimited through dreams and we'll be talking about what dreams are how to dream and people looking at people that broke barriers through dreams so first of all we're going to talk about what is a dream a dream is a picture of a bright future that does not necessarily align with reality but fulfills a purpose and ultimately establishes the kingdom of god um the two scriptures we'll be looking at today is joel 2 verse 28 and ephesians 3 20. but before we go in i just want to say quick word of prayer if that's okay our father and our lord we thank you for today we thank you for bringing us here we thank you for a time that you destined for today i pray that even as we go into the word of god we pray that lord your light and your life will speak to us and transform us in a new way in jesus name we prayed so again um if we can pull up joel 2 verse 28 that would be great and it shall come to pass afterward that i will pour out my spirit on all flesh your sons and your daughters shall prophesy your old men shall dream dreams your young men shall see visions ephesians 3 20 if you have it in the passion translation that would be great no okay i would read it on my end here it says never doubt god's mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this he will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request your most unbelievable dream and exceed your wildest imagination he will outdo them all for his miraculous power constantly energizes you so again going back to the definition of a dream what is a dream a dream is a picture of a bright future that does not align with what is on ground your reality is completely different from what you're dreaming and it ultimately fulfills a purpose and ultimately establishes the kingdom of god so we're going to look at what several characteristics of dreams um there are two types of dreams that we know when you sleep you get a dream a dream is also a succession or a sequence of thoughts that go through your mind and dreams are given to you by god again always going back to a purpose and the purpose of establishing the kingdom of god if you look at romans 11 36 please for everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory and all glory to him forever the second characteristic of dreams is that it's born out of the plan of god for your life jeremiah 29 verse 11 says for i know the thoughts and the plans i have towards you thoughts to give you peace and of a future and a hope dreams um ephesians 2 verse 10 for we are god's masterpiece he has created us a new in christ jesus so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago another aspect of dreams is that they are framed by the word of god we're going to be going through quite a bit of scriptures today but um genesis 1 verse 1 to 2 they are all very familiar in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth verse 2. okay and it was without void great darkness covered the earth the earth was formless and empty and darkness covered the deep waters and the spirit of god was hovering over the surface of the waters we can see the word of god was at the beginning if you go to john 1 it says in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god so we see god at the beginning of everything and the word beginner beginning of everything um dreams are powered by the spirit of god we read the two scriptures at the beginning that dreams happen when the spirit of god is poured out and it's not just to sometimes we're used to dreams from a prophet or a specific person it will pour out the spirit on all flesh everybody is a particular can be a partaker of the dreams that god can give to you um characteristics of dreams they are preserved by the promises of god through faith you see in hebrews 11 we know the story of abraham the people that went through different things through faith and they held onto the promises of god i'm gonna try and rush through this um another thing about dreams is that the magnitude of your dreams are a reflection of how you see god so what do you see um if you look at second corinthians 3 verse 18. so all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the lord and the lord who is the spirit makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image colossians 1 verse 27 for god wanted them to know that the riches and glory of christ are for you gentiles too and this is the secret christ lives in you this gives you assurance of sharing his glory so we're going to move on now and it's all going to tie together eventually when we look at how dreams break barriers as i said earlier on your dreams must be tied to a purpose it can't solely be for money or for personal pleasures we are created entirely for god's pleasure to fulfill his purpose and to establish the kingdom of god and at the same time god does not leave us empty-handed or stranded the bible says in luke 12 31 seek ye first the kingdom of god and his righteousness and all these things will be added on to you if we look at the biblical examples of dreams joseph's dream we all know the story of joseph and dream he had where his brothers were bowing to him and he was so excited and he told them but he didn't really understand the purpose of that dream he didn't really know that god wanted him to be at the palace in the future for a specific reason and it would all add up but he just saw his brothers were bowing to him yes they did eventually bow to him but the purpose of him of them bound was to show that he was going to get to a place of importance he was going to get to a place where he would need to make decisions to save the people and after that we see that when he was in the palace that's where we see that he when pharaoh's the dream in genesis 41 he had two dreams where they were going through farming and the only person that could really interpret the dream was joseph and give them instructions on how to go about preserving themselves through farming in addition to that um jake if we look at genesis 31 we see that jacob also had a dream where god showed him the speckled animals and also in a dream showed him that he should leave that place so dreams are instructional things from god as well they can serve as warnings if we look at real life examples of dreams that broke barriers of course we know the one person that when you say i have a dream who comes to your mind martin luther king that in its self broke multiple barriers the reason most of us are here is because of god and because somebody took that boat step to dream even though again the definition of a dream is that it doesn't look like reality when god was creating the heavens and the earth it was so dark and he was brooding it didn't make sense that out of the darkness light should come when mlk was going through all of that he probably was going through so many threats and different things but he still kept saying i have a dream i have a dream no matter what's going on around me i have a dream he thought beyond himself he thought beyond his own personal agenda he thought about the community he looked at things around him and he felt like this isn't right i need to do something about it next we're going to look at the power of dreams dreams are transcendent they are beyond ordinary limits this transcend time so it's such that again it's not tied to money or your personal pleasures if you god forbid if you're not here your dreams should keep speaking your dreams should outlive you your dreams should keep working they have life in them so they should keep on leaving so if your dreams are just tied to money or your you know your job right now it's not necessarily the foundation and the essence of why we have dreams they should go beyond just now i would say um dreams are reproductive in the sense that they have the ability to power other dreams god works the way things are we have to see the way god works genesis 1 verse 28 god gave us a command if we can please pull it up that would be really great then god blessed them and said be fruitful and multiply fill the earth and govern it reign over the fish in the sea the birds in the sky and all the animals that scurry along the ground our dreams have power to multiply if they are if they have the right foundation if they are built on the foundation of fulfilling purpose and establishing god's kingdom uh that your dream has the power to to power other people's dreams people see you they see you living out your dreams they say if god is able to do that through that person i should be able to do that so i want to do that i want to establish the kingdom of god here as a christian as well and again going back to the essence of dreams the essence of dreams is that god wants to establish his kingdom through you he wants to use you your dreams are you're on assignment through dreams your thoughts when you sleep when you dream god is putting these things in your mind for his kingdom for establishing his kingdom not for a personal pleasure alone so if we know that dreams are so powerful why why don't we see enough dreamers um i personally believe that sometimes it's because we're so afraid and the fear of dreaming is is coming out of a place of feeling like the dreams are your dreams if we know that the dreams are not our dreams it's god that's giving us this dream he is committed to fulfilling those dreams so we can't fail if we go back to jeremiah 29 verse 11 if i know the thoughts i have towards you to prosper you to give you a future to give you a hope if we keep as i said these dreams are sustained through the promises of god we keep going back to the promises of god for with god all things are possible we keep reciting these things going back and knowing that god is the source of our dreams it's not for our pleasure but at the end of the day god will never leave you to just you know be mediocre or just be no that's not what it is god is going to make you great through those dreams but the foundation of those dreams are that you have to establish the kingdom of god so now practically how do we dream um as i said earlier everything starts and ends with the word of god we read the word of god as we read the word of god we get to know who this god is we get to understand his mind we get to understand his thoughts the bible says in john 6 63 for the words i speak to you their spirit and their life it quickens our spirit man to let us again know that we are doing this for establishing the kingdom of god um the next step to do that i believe is to pray and to ask jeremiah 29 verse 13 says that if you look for me wholeheartedly you will find me um god god is true to his word if you look for him he will find you if you ask god god i need a dream i need you to show me a dream for my life he can show it to you as you sleep he can show it to you as you're walking along the road and things are happening and he drops a word in your heart and i just put here pay attention to what makes you brewed in the beginning when god was creating the heaven and the earth he was brooding those are things that make you you know not agitated but you're so passionate about it that you can't drop it those are also points that god would use to merge everything together next step is to write habakkuk two to write the vision and make it plain um we are not you know we can't store everything in our minds and writing it down i found that it's a step of faith when you bring your pen on your paper god will speak like it's an actual fate to me god is going to speak for sure and then next step is to speak um romans 4 17 and i would go with number 14 verse 28 where it says from your mouth you are spoken as surely as i live declares the lord i would do to you the very things i heard you say and as we said with mlk he spoke those dreams out even though it didn't make any sense to anybody speak those things to yourself even if you don't have a large crowd speak those things to yourself and the last point i have here is serve and preserve again your dreams are serving you're serving god with your dreams it's not about you it's about god and preserve your dreams through like you just said the steps read pray write keep doing those things over and over and over again they will eventually add up and the last point i put here is really that scripture ephesians 3 verse 20. never doubt god's mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this he will achieve infinitely more than your greatest requests your most unbelievable dream and exceed your wildest imagination he will outdo them all for his miraculous power constantly energizes you and always remember that the magnitude of your dreams are a reflection of how you see god so ensure that you keep magnifying god in your life through reading the word through praying through everything that we talked about today and i pray that god will give us dreams today that would change our lives and transform the world in jesus name hallelujah hallelujah let's put our hands together and celebrate jesus come on i can't hear you ignite can we make a joyful noise hallelujah if you know you are leaving this place with the power to dream unlimitedly can you make a joyful noise one more time hallelujah i want to quickly remind us that there's something about the theme each month each the choir says no limit we just heard the word that says dream i'm just going to quickly ask us to open our bibles to genesis chapter 13 verse 15. i'm gonna paraphrase that bible talks of abraham it says i am giving you all this land but that's not the part i want to focus on i'm just going to focus on the middle part as far as you can see my point is dream as far as you can see in a few minutes we're going to give our offering tie that offering to something it's another one year and do you know at the end of today please don't be in a rush pastor is coming up to bless us before the blessing is coming i want you to give something that you know that the fire of god can land on pastor todd is going to come and minister very soon the anointing will not fall on an empty altar amen we all know that we are new covenant assembly members i shouldn't have to really say some things but tonight i want to encourage you to give so for the next 10 minutes be intentional about what you are giving to god we know there are four ways we give in nca that's going to be displayed on your screen but as you think about what you are given today tied to something that by this time next year as far as i can see this time next year i would have that scholarship amen this time next year i would have that dream job this time next year i will be giving this amount to open heavens to the ignite conference tied to something god if only you can do it my first three months salary it's not beyond me as far as you can see bringing us the offering today and celebrating jesus together is no other than one and has unlimited praise and unlimited worship that should be real easy when you have a god whose resources have who have been unlimited in your life a god whose faith has been has whose faithfulness has been unlimited in your life whose grace has been unlimited in your life whose mercy has been unlimited in your life so we're getting ready to lift up this amazing god but tonight we come to give him unlimited praise do me a favor cut those hands one more time and shout to this big god this great god father you're great and greatly to be praised how great is our god we love you jesus i need you to i wrote specifically the word should because when i do the math and i know what i deserve and i know what i did and when i do the math i know i know what should have happened but the fact that he let grace step in and when what should have happened didn't happen is there anybody in this room that's grateful that you know what should have happened but god said i know what should have happened but there's blood for that there's grace for that there's mercy for that so father we thank you for your goodness and your mercy towards us god who who are we that you're even mindful of us so we give you has given somebody an exit off of that road that they've been on for so many years and for so many months come on lift those hands and say god give me new wine give me new wine give me new wine you've given me so jesus bring a new word everybody [Music] [Music] if you're ready tonight [Music] i wanna be this is [Music] to jesus jesus god i'm ready jesus bring me [Music] i wanna be new i wanna be just [Music] bring new wine out of me i want to be new is anybody tired of that old man is anybody tired of that old way i tell you to tell them i want to be new i want to be just like you jesus you can bring the one out of me [Music] thank you holy spirit there's there's some people in this room tonight that you've been in this continual circle of doing some of the same things over and over seeing some of the same things over and over and you've been like god why do i keep feels like i'm in this rut this never-ending story groundhog's day in my life holy spirit is telling me now that there's some of you that are caught up in this cycle it's because it's not because god doesn't have the ability to bring you out it's because you really haven't given him a whole yes let me explain there are certain things that we don't mind letting go of there are things that hurt certain things you're like i just i don't want to deal with that but then there are certain things that if we're honest we don't want to let go of oh god i'll give you 90 but i got to keep this 10 because this is the thing that i feel like i can't live without this is the thing that i feel like i can't go without another day i feel like you know i can give you all or the majority of me but i just can't give you this part because this is the part that i feel like i can't let go of and tonight i believe by the spirit of god that there's a yes that you can give god tonight that will free you from this never-ending circle this never-ending cycle that you feel like you could that the enemies try to make you believe that that you're gonna die like that that you're gonna you're gonna your mama died like that your dad did live like that so this is the thing that you're gonna have to carry for the rest of your life but i come to let you know tonight that the devil is a liar that whom the sun sets free is free indeed and if you can just give god that hard thing tonight that thing that's been very difficult to let go of that thing that even when you come to the altar you're like yeah god i'm gonna let go of this but i gotta hold on to this i promise you tonight that there is such a freedom in letting go of that thing that the enemy's been trying to tell you you have to hold on to that there's a freedom and a liberty and the door that comes with that that opens in your life that no devil can shut but god is saying tonight listen it's in your yes it's in your yes it's in your real complete wholehearted yes lord and if you're tired of it tonight and i know it's not everybody because everybody doesn't want to let it go if it's like i enjoy coming to church i enjoy having a good time but i'ma hold on to that because that feels good that makes me feel a certain kind of way that that that gives me this kind of uh happiness in my life i know it ain't right i know i probably shouldn't do it i know i probably shouldn't talk to him i know i probably shouldn't do that but it gives me something that i feel like i can't live without tonight god has said if you give me a real yes if you give me a real yes that there's an exit that i'm giving you off of this road and it's to a life of freedom peace joy that you've never experienced in your life but it's gonna cost you something because there can be no wine without a crushing [Music] there can be no wine without pressing there you don't pre you don't get this without a crushing without oppressing but what's being produced on the other side of the pressing and the crushing is so worth it tonight if that's you can you just lift those hands and feel like god i'm tired i know i said yes last conference i know i said i was gonna stop last year i know i said i was gonna give it up the last time somebody called an altar call and i knew in my heart even that night i was gonna let go of something but i wasn't going to let go of that but god tonight i'm tired of going in circles i'm tired i don't want to be like how they told me
