hey folks look at here we got us a monster ah we got us a good five pounds for them right here and this time i remembered a hive tool in the queen cage so i'll have to go run back to the truck to get it but here's what's really interesting i'm actually on top of my truck yeah we're gonna uh we're gonna shake swarm off the top of my truck and uh hopefully get them in that box but here's the joy we're gonna get them dropped down right about here hopefully we'll get a real good march that you guys get to watch and if i'm really really lucky and that big old pile of bees i will uh i'll get lucky enough to find that queen i want to test their temperament though see what kind of move they're in come on girls ain't too bad let's go ahead and let a couple of them down there but uh i'll come one maybe they'll uh maybe those march right in you guys will enjoy that let me uh let me readjust this box a little bit so we can get some better light look at this right here look at that right there right there right there yep almost got stung look at that there's my queen ain't even shook it got mcqueen hang on i know y'all i know y'all want to see this i only got one hand only got one 000 bees done flying in my beehive now what's really crazy this and i see some we're gonna go back up there they don't know that they weren't supposed to come down here all right and check it out on the air we got bees everywhere oh i love this stuff i love it but this is the coolest part watching them i mean even these guys back here know hey we gotta get that box man because everything in this area smells like lemongrass oil all lemony they got their little tushies up in the air saying hey everybody gather down here come on oh let's look off the side of the truck see what we got yeah we got bees offside the truck oh we got bees down there that's all right they'll get airborne in a minute they'll come back up here they'll come up to this hive are this cluster of bees and uh here's what's really cool is i don't have to reshake them unless i get in a hurry and i gotta get going out of here but we're gonna be here for a little bit checking on something else and uh all those girls up there will actually realize they don't have their queen and all these guys down here are fanning telling the rest of them hey come on down here and that cluster will break and they will get up in here in the hot or in the in the box with the rest of them isn't that cool ain't that cool i see all those are just fanning their butts over there saying hey i found the queen i love it i love this stuff man i hope you guys are having an awesome spring i know us down in the south we're we're already geared up and going gangbusters and uh we'll say it'll probably right about the chattanooga line is where everything's going kind of kicking in i've heard a couple people in huntsville alabama getting some uh getting some calls for some bees but uh worked for some swarms but uh look at see they're getting the memo now too they're all gonna come over here they're all just hanging out going hey what just happened we were hanging in this tree and then all of a sudden look it we're on this tarp on top of this goofball's truck but they're all happy they got they got their queen right there i'm loving it all right guys well there's uh swarm number two i see i'm still i'm rocking it uh jp now listen he's he's trying to he's trying to go on about the fact that he got a swarm right before i did but i posted it first so mike's mind official not his but uh what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna go ahead and say you know i'll give him a 50 50 that we're tied but uh here's my second one for the year so oh check this out watch that you see the wasp one what they're gonna do he's looking for a meal he'll try to eat a bee he will try to eat a bee they're fixing them with his butt they will they'll get him you need to go on moss they ain't gonna put up with your crap but anyway so um i'm gonna get this one out so that way i got the second one out for jp and uh we still haven't heard from the rooster he's off uh doing some commercial beekeeping stuff and he'll be back in here in video land before you all know it but uh uh for right now i'm just having all the fun i hope you enjoyed this uh man how cool was that caught the queen before we ever shook it that is too too awesome sorry when you you know when you're holding onto a queen you need a hand for a cage and you ain't got a camera man this is what you get but these goofballs over here ain't got the memo yet they're still trucking Lots of people don't know a lot about bees it seems form seeing so many of these videos this time of year when bees are active.

Bees are not stinking machines, they don't WANT to sting you to die themselves. Bees will only sting you if you are invading hive basically put.

People wear bee suits because they are normally checking inside the hive and know that it might disturbed comb (hive lids tend to get stuck as you can imagine so can be disturbing to bees). But its perfectly fine to go to hives to check on them withone one.

I've cleared out bees before by just scooping them into buckets with hands to relocate them, they literally don't care as because when bees are like that, they are just chilling waiting for the worker bees to come back to tell them they found a place for a hive to start, then they will slowly all start to follow to a new hive, and make a new queen bee.

Bees are awesome.
