I Tried This IMPOSSIBLE Lilsimsie Shell Challenge in The Sims 4 // Sims 4 Build Challenge

it's been quite a while since we attempted a little simsy shell challenge so if you don't know little since he made this recently and I'll link her video down below this is a build challenge in The Sims 4 where you have to take this shape and build something out of it so we're gonna take this lot and place it down so this is what it looks like and if you don't know the rules let me explain basically what we're not allowed to do is touch the walls so let's say I wanted to go in and adjust this here like that that's not allowed let's say I wanted to go in with a hammer tool and just like delete that part of the wall That's not allowed there's also like this really weird hole in the back we can't get rid of that we have to work around that somehow and on the inside I'm pretty sure there's like a little box yeah there's like a tiny little box right in there we're not allowed to delete that but what we can do is go in and add fences platforms Roofing half walls basically anything other than adjusting the shell itself I've done a ton of these impossible shell challenges at this point it's literally like within my comfort zone which says a lot about this channel so let's do this Shout shall We alright so first thing I like to do for a challenge like this is normally roof it so what we're gonna do we're gonna go in with a gabled roof piece and we're just gonna start to look for shapes so any like bump outs like this here A Roofing piece can go here there's also one on the other side so I'm going to rotate that and put that right there we could probably also take this again and paste it pretty much like on top of that and we're gonna pull this all the way to the back and all the way this way as well so so far our Roofing is looking like that not too bad so far and then on these two parts I was thinking about doing balconies so what I'm actually gonna do is because this little shape is so weird we're gonna go in with a flooring piece and we're just gonna kind of cover it up making it an actual rectangle there so like it's a real balcony and then we can go in with some fencing I don't really know what style I'm gonna go for today so we're just gonna use this as like a placeholder and I'm gonna go ahead and add that on there as well so now we can see other opportunities for roofing so what we're gonna do is take one of these pieces rotate it and I'm gonna put it like right over top of this this balcony just pulling it over like that and we're gonna do the same thing over here so now that we've got that let's go ahead and maybe make this a medium Wall height there and we're also going to get some columns to put under our Roofing so again I don't know what we're gonna do really let's just go in with these like really thick ones from get together and maybe next we can tackle the hole in the floor I think I'm just gonna turn this into a pool back here so I'm gonna go in and just put all of our water in the pool and then we can maybe add like a window to the basement or do something cool down there but that just seems like the obvious thing to do and now we can start adding the rest of the details so I do think I'm gonna start to work on the entryway here and what if we went in with this romantic garden fence I haven't used this one in a while but I do quite like this one and I'm building here in tartosa so what if we went for like a traveler's house or like beachy maybe I don't know about you guys but my entire Tick Tock for you page recently has been about freaking Wednesday Adams so everything that I want to build all of my inspiration is coming from that but I just did a Gothic build so I feel like we shouldn't go down that road again not yet at least we're gonna go and get a foundation here maybe we'll just use this one here for now our roof paint maybe I'll change the roof paint to a black we can go in with this one here and I'm thinking because the roofing is still a little plain for me what if we went in with this here the little pig roof window from cottage living let's take that in like a matching Swatch here and I'm just gonna put that on either side of my roof here so like that and then it just adds a little something extra up there maybe we'll just do one on the back there we can also add a chimney I'm doing this so backwards honestly I'm gonna be honest with you guys this month has been so freaking busy for me December in general tends to be a really busy time for creators but I'm doing some traveling soon and I'm trying to like backlog a bunch of videos for you guys and oh my gosh it is really starting to take a toll I am gonna have like a bit of a vacation soon I'll still be posting videos like I that I have them like backlogged but that end of the year burnout is coming in hot for me and I'm sure it probably is for a few people with like school and stuff at the end of the year so make sure you guys give yourself a little bit of time to just unwind this winter break okay we got some columns on there still not 100 about those but we're gonna make them work for now we need some wallpaper I don't know what I want to do though maybe we could do like a siding maybe actually what about this here from Snowy Escape I feel like it might look a little bit weird without all the windows on here and everything but this could actually turn out kind of cute okay let me add all the spandrels we're gonna get like the trim and stuff on here the little details oh maybe we could actually do a blue trim like this one here from base game the little simsy shell we gotta have some blue somewhere in here okay so spandrels look cool there I think I'm gonna add them over to the side of the balcony here too like that the one that I'm using is from vampires and okay I've been putting it off long enough we need to start adding some windows and doors so for my door let's maybe do like like a cottage living and I kind of don't mind having that black detail on there too so we'll start with that maybe we can do the matching like smaller cottage living door up top like right there and for our Windows we've been going with like a blue detail so I'm thinking about using cottage living the blue is looking really cute with the water in the background so I think I'm just gonna roll with that and when we use these cottage living windows it's really easy to mix it up between that pack so we could go in with these ones they have like the same shape here I'll just put those down below there's our windows we could actually probably even do a small balcony back here or just like a patio somewhere you can exit and just go to the pool so we'll do the same door back here that we used up top but maybe I'll put a blue one while I'm here I'm going to add some pool trim right there we'll get our ladders and everything and there we go windows and doors are complete I think now I'm gonna start to landscape and we did say that this is going to be for a traveler I want to do a bunch of knickknacks on the inside and like little antiques things from their travels so let's go ahead and get that end table outside the one with with the suitcases this one here that's going to match our color scheme we could put a bench beside here actually the dark blue could be kind of cute here this set is from outdoor Retreat so maybe we'll just do like a couple chairs there or the stone could be really cute too for the outside we're gonna put a rug and I like using these ones here from laundry day they just kind of seem like an outdoor rug to me same as like these ones here we'll keep that with the blue and on top of here we could add like plants I think up top here on this balcony We'll add the wood I'm gonna use this one here from base game just like an antique wood flooring low fire resistance look at that and I want to do the Vintage glamor bar outside the one that looks like a globe I'm pretty sure there is a blue Swatch in here we could use two like this one we'll put this outside and maybe we could do just like a big bar table like a blue table up here or even like an old wood one like that and then we can add some cats and dogs lighting up here we're gonna have to add another plant we could maybe even add one of these out here with like the bottles and the barrel from cats and dogs oh and while we're at it what if we mounted this like somewhere on the house what if I put it right here that's actually kind of cool totally leaning into the Traveler's home that we're going for okay I've got one more balcony to do then I'm gonna do the landscaping and we can go inside and I think out here I'm gonna put another skill item so let's maybe do maybe a chess table here with a couple plants I'm gonna use these things here from werewolves and maybe it would also be cute to have the high school years egg chair over there all right so with the landscaping and everything this is what we got for our house I tried to go in with a lot of blue Landscaping so there's a lot of different shades of blue in here same as over on this side I put this cute little picnic table this tree here from Island living along the back we've got our pool area which has like this really cute umbrella there wasn't a whole lot of room back here but I'm assuming that maybe they can like go swimming in here too this is such a cute location back here we've got a barbecue as well and I just kind of went in and adjusted my balconies so I ended up putting that bar table there and this is what our house is looking like so far let's go inside and figure out a floor plan so upstairs we have this pretty wide open area won't be too bad to do like bedrooms or something up here downstairs we do still need to work around that awkward like hole in the shell and then in the basement we have this tiny little area here so I think what I'm gonna do first is add some lighting but I'm thinking that little hole in the middle of this shell can be where our ladder will go and we'll do like a ladder leading down it can be a basement bedroom slash office so we'll have to do like archways or something there if I can find something like skinny enough to fit in that one tile this here could work it has like the cute detail up top so maybe I'll do that on both sides here we'll get a ladder in there leading down making sure that the arrows are facing outside there so your Sims can still use the ladder then that'll lead downstairs that part is taken care of and then upstairs I kind of want to wrap my stairs around this thing so we'll start by putting our stairs this way and wrapping them like that so the stairs are going to be facing the door we like that and on the other side I might have to just replace this Archway here with a smaller one just one that doesn't come up as high and then upstairs I'm pretty sure I'll be able to like split this in two so we'll do like while going this way maybe we can do a bathroom on that side a bedroom here and that's gonna make this a two bedroom house including the basement we can probably also add one more bathroom maybe like right here we'll just section that part off and we'll have two bedroom two baths we're good okay so I'm gonna start down below you guys always love when I do basements in general but basement bedrooms are always a hit I'm picturing a lot of cats and dogs in this build so I'm gonna try maybe this flooring here or what if we went darker okay wait that is so pretty we're gonna bring this through the whole house so that's gonna be our flooring in the main room we'll bring it to the hallway in the bedroom and I'm kind of picturing like wallpaper in here I said the person that lives here is going to be like a collector they're gonna be having all these weird little knickknacks from their travels so what about this this is literally called Granny's house this is not something I would normally use but I want to see if we can do this so first thing I'm going to delete my lighting that I just added we're gonna go in with a warmer light let's maybe put a couple of these from cottage living and then at the back here I'm kind of thinking we do two big bookshelves so I'm actually gonna split the room like that now that we're on the inside here adding those walls are perfectly legal and what if we went in with this one this is gonna fit right in between there now we've got room for just like a tiny little desk in there and I'm thinking werewolves because they have this like old style one not my wedding stories this one oh okay yeah that's gonna fit right in there let's grab an office chair that's gonna match maybe we could use this one here from discover University and I still need to make room for my bed so I'm thinking the bed can go right here and I want it to be one that I don't use all that often oh I got it what if we went with the base game one but this one the Starry Nights bed this is a bed that I love to use but never really get to so I'm just gonna push that along that way making sure we still have room for our Sims to get up the ladder and on the side here we're gonna bring back those trunks that we used upstairs we're gonna put these on both sides of the bed here and I feel like to make this all cohesive downstairs we're gonna have to bring in a little bit more blue so maybe we could do blue snowy Escape rug I'll just size it up so it's gonna fit like underneath my bed and kind of coming out this way too let's make it huge for lighting we could do like some funky lights like this maybe or even the vampires ones could be fine like that those are so cool I feel like werewolves has a bunch of fun little like clutter items too so maybe we could use one of these actually the mirror could look really cool above the bed like that we'll put it in that blue Swatch there and what about do the clock could be really cool right there I'm also picturing in here like a fish tank so let's find one maybe we could use this one here from cats and dogs we'll put that in the corner there and what if we also put a window in here what about this vintage glamor one that's gonna bring in an opportunity to to add curtains on here we can do jungle Adventure mirror over on this side maybe some plants over in the corner these ones have like little blue flowers on them which are really cute so this side over here looking cute and I kind of want to do maybe like a seating area over here so let's go and try and find a chair that's gonna match oh what about this one here from cottage living we can do like the blue Swatch right there maybe a circle rug in here like this one or even the fluffy one from high schoolers we'll get a plant in here and we still need to make room for a dresser so let's go and see I need something tall I've been obsessed with this one here from high school years lately there's like huge armoire that's actually gonna fit right there beside the chair and there we go this is how our basement bedroom turned out I actually really like the colors in here not a color scheme that I would go to too often especially with like the dark brown and the blue but I do think it turned out really cute I did put a computer down here so your Sims could like do work down here play games if they want to do research definitely a really cool start to this build and that's going to set the mood for the rest of how we decorate so let's go upstairs I did try and start to add some wallpaper up here which I might end up going with a little bit of a darker aesthetic than that but let's go into the bathroom next and I kind of want to do like a dark blue moment we can do dark blue wallpaper maybe with like a lighter blue flooring I'm gonna replace my lighting so we get that warm glow again so let's go and find like a candle something that's going to give off the warm Vibe maybe actually these here from Jungle Adventure okay we do have a decent amount of room in here for a nice bathroom so let's go all out again with the Clutter I'm thinking about using this mirror here because I feel like that bronze color is gonna look so nice with that blue so going off of that I'm gonna add like cute little details around here like this here from dream home decorator actually has the blue and the brown in it the side that we could maybe use these here and actually we could maybe do two of them and like shrink them down like that maybe change the color on that one too and I feel like it's a little dark in here still so I'm gonna go in and try and find some lanterns we can put on the ground I'm thinking these ones they can kind of just like shrink these in here like that and I'm actually considering putting like another mirror beside that a little bit weird yes but again we're going for a collector and personally when I go to like thrift stores or anything like that I find old mirrors really beautiful so I feel like it wouldn't be that weird for someone to collect them that and like clocks for me I don't know what it is at like thrift stores but those two things I'm like really drawn to we're gonna get a sink here so I'm gonna put that one there from cats and dogs we definitely still have room for like a bathtub over here so maybe we could use this one here and our toilet can go right there we're gonna bring up the same curtains that we used in the basement I think I'm gonna probably bring these along the whole house and right here I still have a little bit of room I'm thinking maybe we do like an ottoman what about this one here from laundry day I also feel like we could get away with like an old style rug in here so maybe like this one in like a different Swatch but this one could actually be really nice maybe we change that to like a brown and then on this side I think I could probably put like a shelf up here and maybe like you know those pictures from cats and dogs these ones that have like pictures of brindleton bay in here let's do these and maybe we can put a shelf up above the toilet all right so this is what our bathroom turned out like I added a couple more knickknacks over there from werewolves onto the Shelf I freaking love those I feel like they're so cute it's like a little Moon petal in there and the mushrooms and then over to this side I added a towel on the wall I didn't really add too much extra in here but this is what our bathroom looks like I think this area over here like that is my favorite part that's so pretty okay so after we've done that now I feel like we should bring that darker aesthetic like into the living room over here so I'm thinking the wallpaper that I originally picked is not gonna be it so first thing I'm gonna delete all these saucer lights and we're gonna find some sort of lighting again with the Warm Glow maybe these from Paranormal because they do have that like bronze color that I was using so I'm just gonna put those there for now now and let's hunt again for some wallpaper what about something like this from realm of magic but maybe like what if we try that one is that all black there okay so I'm thinking with this we're gonna do maybe like a seating area over there we'll do dining area along the back and our kitchen can be right in here so I'm gonna start off over here with the dining area so the one item that stuck with me from the outside was from outdoor Retreat the big dining chair like this one here we're gonna use these on the inside so I'm just gonna place that there for now and we're gonna try and find a table to match what about that one there from get together and then we'll see how those fit like around here so we'll do all of our chairs we'll just kind of Center it a little bit and I like that let's find a rug to match and I feel like Paranormal might be a cute one I know the blacks watch could work here we'll just kind of like Center that again and for a centerpiece I love using these candles from my wedding stories let's try and use maybe the darker like purple Swatch for those and in the corner we could definitely use like a plant back there or one of those like corner piece items I think base game has one ah this here in like black we can put that back there we're gonna bring in those curtains that we used from cats and dogs here and on the topic of paranormal I kind of want to also use a wall shelf the one with the plant hanging over the side this one here and actually it might be really cool if we use this too because in here we could add a whole bunch of knickknacks but I don't really know where to put it our kitchen is gonna be there maybe we could put it here by the door I don't know I'm gonna leave it there just for now we can even put it in the hallway upstairs if we want to I'm gonna try and find a couple weird knickknacks to put on this shelf and then we can move into the kitchen I'm almost getting like traveling psychic vibes from this okay let's go over here to do the kitchen and in here there's not a whole lot of room but I think I could do counters all along this wall I might actually use these ones here from base game so counters all the way over like that I think I'm gonna have to take these curtains and Shrink them a little bit just so they're not cutting over my counters there and we'll replace one of these with an oven and we'll do the matching base game fridge on the other side so it's going to be like against this wall since we have this base there may as well use it and our sink I think can probably go like right here I want to add a little more Lighting in here so I'm actually going to go back in with these here the ones we used in the bathroom We'll add our smoke detector right above our trash can I feel like we have to go with the barrel today so let's go in with this one and maybe I could put that over on this side like right beside the fridge there and there's still a little bit of room I'm considering doing some cabinets just like the matching base game ones if they fit if I line them up with the window right there that might be okay well maybe we could do some wine bottles too just like that for clutter I have two counters available so we can clutter up one of them I want to put that antique teapot pretty sure this is also a base game item oh yeah this here we're gonna put that right there beside our massive olives I actually have never realized how big those are especially for Sims that is like the size of a hamburger but okay there we go that is going to be our kitchen area now we're left with this front foyer and living room section of the house so let's do this here I want to match that blue that we used which like I could go in and use the matching outdoor Retreat couch I feel like that would make the most sense but I used that outside so now I feel like I have to go back and change it let's just try this like I can't have that there and that there so maybe we'll replace that furniture with this here and the matching chairs for now okay now we need to figure out a TV and I'm pretty sure my TV is gonna have to go over there fireplace would also be really cute in here maybe we could do like this one I mean I could put a TV over here on this Barrel we just like raise it up I mean why not I'm gonna shrink a couple more of these paintings here and we'll find a different swatch for those we could do a plant beside the fireplace here and now it's time to add a little bit more clutter again kind of feeling the traveling psychic Vibes a little bit so maybe I can actually replace this here with like oh actually this would be really cool from Paranormal normal I added another mirror over there from realm of magic and I just kind of need like a rug here to pull this together and actually a bookshelf fits right in there so I'm going to use this one here from realm of magic and we'll add one of these poofs here from cats and dogs okay so living area looking cute now we just have to do this like front area which I'm probably just gonna add like an end table here it's a little bit awkward with these Corners in here we could use that corner there for laundry and I've tested this out before if you put curtains right here then your Sims can still walk through it to do the laundry we can add one of these curtains right here the idea there being that you can just like pull it across even though you can't but it's still functional because of that we need to remember to add laundry bins upstairs so I'm just gonna put a couple here so I don't forget and at the front here I think I might just add like a couple end tables like maybe that one from Paranormal can go in there we'll add a mirror right there I'm like running out of cool mirrors that I haven't used in this build already so there we go that's gonna be our front area and with that we can now go upstairs which all I have to do really really is this hallway up here I think I'm actually gonna change this railing now that we know that we're not going all white we'll change the railing we'll change the color of the stairs too I don't know why the lighting is so weird in here there's not really a reason why that side of the room should be different even if I add like lighting over here but okay anyway here we go we are up in the hallway I still have to add some clutter things in here so let's go ahead and add maybe some like Paranormal debug stuff in there wait those are hands this is a random debug item that I didn't know they were hands it literally says that they are but that is kind of cool kind of terrifying okay so weird things going on in there we honestly could do like a seance table right here maybe we just get rid of one of the chairs to make sure that you can still go over here and since I still want to keep with like the traveling Vibe I'm gonna go back in and try and find some more travel photos so again cats and dogs with those over there and then maybe on this side we could bring back that chair that we used in the basement bedroom like the cottage living one so we've got a chair there for reading and over here I'm I'm just adding this shelf where we can put up some more knickknacks so there we go this is going to be our hallway area with our weird cabinet in there the weird hands you could come up here to read too if you wanted to and we also have the Seance area so maybe it would be not a good idea to read up here unless you want to be accompanied by some spirit all right we're gonna do this bathroom over here which all of the flooring that I added is getting changed I didn't put a shower in the bathroom downstairs so maybe we can put one in here I'll leave the hamper right there we can put maybe like a plant next to it we can do a toilet over here on this side maybe with this weird sink here we have to do one more weird thing in this bathroom so I'm using this one here from realm of magic it has like a peacock on it just with this Black Mirror over top from Parenthood just some towels right there we could also do a rug I was considering this one but I think I'm gonna save this for the bedroom I added that chandelier in there again from Jungle adventure and this is what our bathroom number two is looking like I added that werewolves rug in there I actually really like those I always forget about them though and I've been loving the bathrooms in this build adding all of the clutter in here I really like how they turned out we have one final room to do over here and let's change that wallpaper so pulling this build all together I feel like it just got like darker and darker as it went on but let's say that the basement bedroom like this one down below is our traveler's bedroom the house itself actually belongs to a psychic teacher maybe the traveler visited the psychic for guidance and they became friends or even lovers and the traveler decided to stay so on the dresser over here I'm just gonna start adding some more clutter items any like last minute little collectible things we can find we could even do some crystals on the dresser I've added some pictures over on this side and I just need some like last minute shelf items for here any kind of clutter items or paranormal related things and there we go there is our psychic clutter-filled bedroom might be the psychic and the traveler might be just the psychic I don't know tons of options for gameplay in here though this ended up having a pretty cool story in here I love the darker aesthetic that we went for and that is what we got for the newest little simsy shell challenge I will put this one up on the gallery if you guys want to download
