I tried the "1 billion dollar morning routine" for 3 days *HARD*

have you ever been sitting on your bed in the middle of the night maybe watching deangelo wallace or something and then suddenly you get a burst of motivation and you start watching all of these productivity videos one after another after another after another and then you stumble across this one we've all heard that if you could win the morning you could win the day one of the ways billion dollar morning routine and you think it's pretty interesting i mean it doesn't look that hard i could actually do it so then you start writing notes about it and you really think that you know tomorrow's the day tomorrow's the day that i'm gonna do this but wait a second so i googled jim quick and you know he's not even a billionaire this website says he has two million dollars and then this website says he has a 52 million dollars which is a lot but you know it's not a billionaire i still want to see if some of what he says is correct aka i still want to do it anyways morning it's like it's like six right now step one wake up early so the first step is waking up early and i usually wake up like between seven and eight anyways so this isn't like that bad but it's gonna hit me later in the day so apparently now i'm supposed to recall my dreams step two recall dreams i don't remember my dreams at all i just remember like waking up and having a million followers on youtube so subscribe and like step three make bed [Music] now also drink a glass of water i kept this in the my bedside table step four drink a glass of water okay let's continue now we're supposed to take vitamins and probiotics step five take vitamins and probiotics but the only vitamins i have are these dogs gummy vitamins so they'll have to do okay now i'm supposed to meditate for 20 minutes of before do breathing exercises step 6 20 minute meditation um i'm gonna do headspace [Music] step seven one to two minutes of movement now it's arguably the horse part which is taking a cold shower out taking a cold shower this is gonna be horrible think positively it's gonna be [Music] great taking a cold shower okay i was in there for like 30 seconds but you know what's important is i did it okay that was literally much harder than i anticipated you know why i think it's because you know hot showers or warm showers or in our comfort zones now my bullshitting is just freaking torture [Music] step nine regular morning routine now i'm done my regular morning routine and i have to make tea now i'm more of a coffee person but step 10 make tea [Music] there's so much snow if you can see that now we're supposed to write in my journal got my tea over here and i'm gonna do this for like 10 minutes i already write it in my journal but not during the morning yeah like i usually write during the night to calm down what should i write about today i'll write about how i feel okay step 11 write in journal okay oh my to-do list today i'm going to finish my physics life career finish my medicine lectures and then do daily vocab for um my terms and then for the personal side i want to go cross country skiing for exercise um tidy my room a bit and have to go to the dentist today to feel i don't know if i did this right so um i wrote to feel relieved less to stress and more relaxed and then to be more patient more understanding and half here i don't really know what that's supposed to do because i can write legit literally ever anything what to be rich but it's not like i'm gonna accomplish that in one day now we're gonna read for 20 to 30 minutes i've been reading this book called sapience step 12 read for 20 minutes um i'm on page i'm on chapter three and it's about the history of humans and it's written in a way that's like super interesting so so it's been about 20 minutes and now i'm starving the last step is to make a smoothie so with blueberries uh yeah apparently that part is really important so i'm gonna go make a smoothie [Music] step 13 make a smoothie [Music] okay technically this is over now 7 55. so this took like two hours okay i'll update you at the end of the day hello it's the second day um i feel like i woke up i mean i went to bed pretty early last night time to meditate today is about dealing with stress which i need because yesterday was stressful [Music] my [Music] okay that's enough for today oh my god i'm gonna get a cold how do people permanently take cold showers do they only cultivate shop take cold showers or do they take both hot and cold showers i just want to know and we're done it's a bit past eight took two hours again [Music] it's it's six am i was like really late last date so i'm really tired right now [Music] okay so the three days are up in conclusion my favorite my favorite part of the routine is definitely the journaling part and also the reading parts and then my least favorite part of the routine was the cold showers like i don't even know how people take cold showers all the time because it's negative 20 degrees celsius here where i live i'm literally going to get a cold in terms of my productivity i feel like it was actually lower than usual because i'm the type of person who like likes to wake up and like immediately get to work because that's when my brain functions the best right but now i have to do all this stuff before i get to work so i don't know if this actually worked for me lastly just doing everything every day took me two hours in the morning from six to eight which i consider a significant amount of time so instead of like doing it all in the morning maybe i would do work and then use my break time to do one of these activities since they obviously have benefits good thing it's reading week so i had time off this week i don't know if i'm going to continue
