- I'm really excited. I'm a little bit nervous. I hope you really like it. Are you ready to see it? - Yes, I've been waiting (laughs loudly) since you said it was finished. - Count down in 3, 2, 1. - A few weeks ago, I made a
keyboard for my little sister. A lot of you guys said, I
want to be your sister too. And that's sort of weird
considering that 90% of my viewers are male, but that's okay. With that in mind, I decided to build one
of you a custom keyboard. Because I want to help
y'all out every once in a while too. To get this whole thing kicked off, I opened a new channel
in my discord server so that you guys could submit
your current keyboards. And I could pick the winner
to make a keyboard for. And all they had to do
was submit a picture of their current keyboard and a little bit of information
about themselves too. I couldn't wait to pick a winner, but I had to wait patiently for a few days till not
the submissions roll on in. After a few days, I could finally browse all the submissions. So when picking out the winner I wanted to pick someone who
really needed the keyboard and was going to put it to good use. There were plenty of submissions of people that already
had a custom keyboard, but I wanted to pick
someone who didn't have a great setup already. That's when I found this guy, Monke. - Monkey - He just wants to get his
sister a nice custom keyboard so that he can play games
with her in the future. And as someone who has a sister, I can relate with that. It seemed like a really nice
thing to do for your sibling. So I just couldn't say no. How wholesome. So I jumped on a call on
discord to get a better of idea of exactly what he would
want for his sister. And remember, it's going to be a surprise. So she has no idea. It looks like her surface
laptop is already like 75%. - Yeah, that's what I would, I was like looking back at the picture to kind of compare it. - Do you know what she's
going to use her PC for? - She does like, well, she plays games and like art and stuff. But she wants to start playing games. That's mainly why she's
getting the other computer, the new one. - What kind of games? - Mainly she plays like
Apex Legends right now. - Oh, all right. So has she ever used
a mechanical keyboard? Like, has she tried out yours or? - Oh yeah. Yeah. When I had built mine, that's probably what made her
want to get a bigger computer. Cause she was like, oh, I want
to keep working like that. - What do you have? If I'm, like, just wondering. - Oh, I have a, I built a
tofu 60 a couple months ago. - What switches is in there? - Alpacas. - She likes your switches or does she want something different? - I think to her, like what
mattered the most was like she was really like concerned
on like color of the switch. Even though I tried to tell her, like You're not really looking at the switch. - What are her, what's her favorite color? - Her room is like completely
themed off of like soft, I don't know what kind of pink it is. like Kirby pink or solid pink, I guess. - Okay. - And like, and like a macho green. - She's working on her
gaming set up right now and a new custom keyboard
would fit this setup perfectly. Finally, she can play games
with her little brother. Here's what she is currently using. It's a magnetic detachable keyboard. And here's what it sounds like. (Keyboard clicking) After a lot of thinking and brainstorming, I knew exactly what to build. For the case, I wanted
a size that was close to what she was already using. And that's 75%. I searched for the perfect
keyboard in that size that could also be used for gaming. She plays a lot of Apex Legends
and she does art as well. It seemed like she cares
a lot about the color of everything that goes
inside of this keyboard. So I had to make sure
everything fit together nicely. Girls' got style. Specifically her room is Kirby pink and macho green and white. So I hope this sort of fits into that. I also found the perfect switches
for the keyboard as well. They come pre-lubed
and they sound amazing. She was adamant on switches
that had pink stems and these have got to be it. But if she ever wants
to change the switches, this keyboard is hot swappable. So she can play with
different switches later on. Variety's the spice of life, am I right? Even the stabilizers match
the color of the switches and this girl is going
to have impeccable style. I've always secretly wanted
to make a keyboard like this. And now I finally have
the reason to do so. My sister doesn't really
like bright colors but I'm glad someone else's sister does. For the build I put everything together and made sure that it sounded and felt amazing. Just ignore the switch in the right corner and the left corner, because
sometimes math is hard. I made sure to do all the
mods to this keyboard to make it tip top shape. Now if this was something
I would build for myself, I would stop here, but
this is for someone else. So I need to go the extra mile. And this is for a subscriber, so it's gotta be the best. The best. Now it's time for the final touch. The key caps. These are the Akko
black and pink key caps, brand spanking new. they're also PBT and ASA profile. So they can last a really long time. It's time to get on a call with Monke and see what he thinks. Hey, can you hear me? - Yeah. - I'm really excited,
a little bit nervous. I hope you really like it. Are you ready to see it? - Yes. I've been, like, I've been waiting since
you said it was finished. - Count down in 3, 2, 1. (Upbeat music) - Okay, now I can show
you the finished build. - Wow. That looks really good. - Perfectly pink. There's a lot more pink in here than you can see. If you can see the stabilizers are pink. - Oh, even the stabilizers are pink. (laughs loudly) That's cool. - Oh yeah, the switches are pink and the key caps are pink. So everything is pink. (keyboard clicking) - Oh yeah, that sounds really good. I, yeah that looks really good. I'm actually really,
she's going to love that. I can already tell. - Also, as a surprise, bonus items. She doesn't have a cable for a keyboard, so I threw one in. She also doesn't have a mouse either. So I threw one of those in too. And she doesn't know that
she needs these things, but they're all going in. All in this nice keyboard carrying case. Packed to the brim, French for the road. Subscribe and turn on
that bell notification for a chance to be the next subscriber that I build a keyboard for. And it won't be for someone else's sister. It will be for you. (keyboard clicking)
