so because of this really nice comment right there oh that really positive comment there and also that cool comment i decided that i would put my professional animation skills to the test so i analyzed the web to discover what makes something satisfying to the human brain and today i'm going to be animating the internet's most satisfying animations thanks to omaze for sponsoring this video go to omaze.com cggeek to learn how you can win a tesla model x and more so i took a look at the web discovering what you guys all found super satisfying and i'm gonna combine it all into my animations here starting with these videos that i found here people find slicing objects in this case sand but just objects in general with a nice clean blade and a nice clean cut to be super satisfying to the brain and i decided well we can do that but probably even better using 3d graphics so so here's the plan for our first satisfying animation we'll start with something sharp like a blade i'm going to animate this blade to cut cleanly through an object probably something like the default cube because nobody likes the cube for some reason but this won't be an ordinary cut no this will be a super satisfying cut now as the blade cuts through we'll have one of these super satisfying peel effects here which will probably be one of the most satisfying animations on the web so let's get to it i'm gonna just whip out some of my pro modeling skills here in blender my 3d software of choice to create a nice tool to cut something um yeah i'm just going to copy this picture of a kitchen knife that i found on the interwebs but hey still need some pro modeling skills to make all those sharp curves once i was happy with my model i went ahead and sharpened up the edges to give it that nice clean edge and then it was time to slap a texture on it so i totally didn't just use that texture that i found on the web to texture this knife of course i made it from scratch duh yeah okay i just used that image texture but i had a slap of cool metal material done on the blade so it reflected some nice shiny light to look super satisfying but now of course i need to cut something so since we love the default cube so much i decided to use this object to cut into nice satisfying slices i then threw some keyframe animation onto that knife object to give it a nice clean cutting animation then i wanted to throw some color at the scene so i again turn to the web to discover what colors the human brain finds relaxing and satisfying after a bit of looking i came up with some color palettes that i was happy with and of course to have that knife actually interact with the cube i had to whip up some super technical advanced simulations but now that i'm happy with the colors it's finally time to reveal my first satisfying animation the clean slice [Music] enjoy [Music] gosh dang it okay so that's a dumb idea anyways it's too stupid simple of a stimulation nobody wants to see that i don't care what the internet says i am turning to a better idea let's create a new satisfying animation and cure a virus at the same time okay so here's plan b we'll start with a virus with all those gross technical things coming off of it and the plan here is to have a super clean blade come from the sky to cut the virus cleaning it from all of its gross technically thingies revealing nothing but a super clean sphere in the middle not a chance this one doesn't work so for this satisfying animation of course i have to start off by creating a virus you know actually skip that last part i think we have enough of those so just using a niko sphere inside of blender and extruding out some gross technically things off of it using a mirror modifier to save time i created a gross dangly sort of virus thingy that can be cured with 3d graphics giving it some super complex simulation physics as well making it look like a gross googly goblin sort of virus-y thing there's just a matter of some keyframed animation on a perfectly round razor blade that i made scaled to the perfect size to fit over the virus and then of course some super complex modifiers that will use vertex weights to determine what areas will be cut off when the blade contacts it along with some more even advanced stimulation settings sorry if this is getting all too complicated for you but i couldn't cut any corners i know this is some complicated rocket science bit stuff and then of course i need to add some clean materials to this virus object to make it look nice and virus-y then it adds some dust particles to the scene for a sense of scale along with the super shallow depth of field applied to the camera and voila pretty sure we just cured rona you're welcome [Music] shoot all right wait what's up hold on let's give this one more shot forget using advanced simulations because those things are stupid here's the deal we'll start with a pendulum on a swing that will always work perfectly fine and then i will have an object an object of like a wheel with a bunch of shapes cut out of that object this wheel will then spin clockwise and as it spins the pendulum will fly through said holes and perfect timing with each other to be without a doubt the most satisfying simulation on the web so without further ado let's get started but before we jump into that a quick thanks to our video sponsor omaze omaze is a fundraising platform that gives you the opportunity to win once in a lifetime experiences and amazing prizes all while raising money to help support nonprofit organizations for example right now you have the chance to win a 2020 tesla model x performance this isn't just any tesla it's been customized with special upgrades by the best in the business guaranteed to turn heads and if that's not already enough twenty thousand dollars cash along with the cars taxes and shipping costs covered but the best part with omaze is that your entry is not only a chance to win but a chance to support a great cause money raised will help support the juju foundation this is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of youth initiatives and lifting the spirits of those in need so for your chance to win a 2020 tesla model x performance along with twenty thousand dollars cash and support a great cause go to omaze.com cg geek with my link in the description and enter for your chance to win modeling a basic pendulum on a string and then adding keyframes every 100 frames or so and tweaking some advanced animation graphs to fake some realistic weight physics to that animation now for the impossible part i'll be creating a wheel that'll animate to spin then modeling another simple shape of the pendulum here using a cylinder this time i'll use some sweet boolean modifiers to cut out shapes in the wheel of the pendulum then using some highly advanced mathematical equations i'll add many cuts to this wheel lining up the exact same distance from one another now adding keyframes to the wheel i'll rotate it counterclockwise so i'll line it up perfectly with that of the animation of the swinging pendulum to create the effect of an impossibly awesome satisfying simulation of course then finishing off the render with some clean ass astounding textures from the internet yeah my mom watches these videos but at last guys we did the impossible [Music] and there we have it a super satisfying simulation i bet you guys didn't think i was actually gonna do it did you you didn't think i had it in me well guess what i gosh dang it
