when it comes to scammers I figured that you can either waste their time or give them something meaningful to do I had a guy that sent me a bad check when I was trying to sell my couches online but I called the bank and they confirm that it was bad and I called him out on it but later he tried to do the same thing with an iPad that I was selling but I finally convinced him to give it up and try to make some money in an honest way [Music] so when you hire someone you typically have a little interview to get to know him a little bit so I said what city are you living in do you have a car what skills do you have how old are you have you had much success with check scams and Emanuel responded and said he lives in Rose a to California no he doesn't have a car as far as skills go he has a lot let me know when you need me but I'm very good on anything internet and designs he's 31 years old and as far as check scam success he says he's had a little but I'm willing to stop if this is real this guy's about to turn his whole life around I said okay let's talk about number three what kind of designs he said tell me what do you need I said well I'm wondering what kind of designs is a graphic design illustration what design tools do you have he said not too much designs just my check and a little paint work and I'm like great send me a sample I said okay very interesting it looks like a real check maybe he's some great graphic designer just waiting for his big break I said okay how did you design those checks the software Photoshop and he said easy check setup so this is where these fake checks come from they're designed with easy check setup software I wonder if the company is aware that this is going on I said okay I need to figure out how to market these skills in the meantime I need you to make a delivery for me he said what's that what's the delivery you want me to make for you so I take a look at Rose a to California and I noticed that there are two Walmart's in the area I said is the nearest Walmart on Fallbrook Avenue or Van Nuys Boulevard and he says Fallbrook Avenue so I said I'm going to place an order at the fall Brook Avenue Wal Mart then I need you to deliver the order to an address they said what's the item I said you'll see when you pick it up he said I would be happy to go but I don't have money for uber haven't got paid from cheque lately and so I said how much do you estimate it will cost to complete the job he said I don't need much $50 will be fine and I will have something left that's if I won't pay any pick up feet so this was gonna be a little bit of an investment on my part but I believe that there's some good in this guy we just got to pry it out he said I don't like Western Union so you can get an Apple iTunes card of any $50 or more I know how to turn it into cash in a few minutes I thought what how do you do that he said he wanting to learn a lot I convert gift cards to Bitcoin then Bitcoin turned to cash incredible they pay each other with iTunes gift cards because they can easily convert it to Bitcoin and then to cash so they don't have to worry about Western Union fees and their transactions are untraceable it's brilliant well I already paid you $25 use that for uber and when you finish the job you'll receive the rest all you will need to do is pick up the order at Walmart it will be prepaid he said ok not a problem as soon as this happening I will do as you want you have proved yourself to me so now here's the real test to see if he's gonna do what I asked I said let me place the order you will then pick it up and deliver it during business hours I will need you to take a picture of you picking up the package on the way there and after you deliver the pictures will assure me that the delivery was made you will then receive your money via Bitcoin so I place an order at Walmart and I order something that I knew he would have absolutely no use for diapers I was simply going to test his loyalty I said the order is ready for you to pick up he said any proof so I sent him a picture of an email confirmation I said you just go to the pickup desk and tell them your name so this is how this is going to go down Manuel would go to the Walmart on Fallbrook Avenue and pick up the diapers he would then call for an uber he's going to get the uber driver an address that I will provide a manual we'll have no idea where he's headed [Music] when the uber arrives at its destination the manual will be at the San Fernando rescue mission just a couple of miles away where they are in desperate need of diapers for once in his life and Manuel is going to feel the joy that comes from serving others so a couple of hours go by and I write a manual and I say to the delivery happen hello he said going now hold sir I had some issues after a couple of hours it's evening and I log on and I see that the order has not even been picked up I was so mad those kids need diapers so I say dang it a manual you had one job he said yes they did not allow me to pick up you had 1 L on my Emmanuel and they asked if I made the order and I thought what bull crap nobody spells a manual with two L's the guy's just afraid he said I want to know why you couldn't ship to them why do I have to pick it up I said to test your willingness I said why don't you want to make this delivery I can change the name on the order and he said I'm scared you might have the corpse for me you know my scam job well I have no interest in reporting you to the cops you've done nothing wrong to me I stopped you before you could and this is when he stopped responding did I freak him out did I move too fast I said yo Emmanuel I thought we were gonna make some money together nothing was emmanuel ignoring me was he gonna let this amazing opportunity pass Emmanuel [Music]
