the executive pastors here at tc we are so honored that you've decided to join us today get your phone your notebook whatever it is that you take notes with and get ready for today's message come on somebody let's give god a shout of praise all over the world god we love you you're amazing and you're wonderful hey the the spirit of god is so evident in this room right now and he's so evident and present in your room wherever you are um i feel led to do this i i saw um something that came through on instagram pass me my phone mo um i need i need to do this and this is the stuff that when the spirit says to do something you need to do it um right before i came out here i took a screenshot of a young lady she doesn't know me or anything like that her name is leslie and she's in fort worth texas she said tonight i sit on a hospital cat couch watching your sermons for strength i continue to ask myself how and why and i'm trying to find strength right now my seven-year-old son leon was diagnosed with cancer this week i'm sitting here he started chemo on friday and i don't i don't understand why god is letting me go through this last week my baby boy was running and jumping and this week he's telling me i'm tired mommy fix me he's brought me to a point of weakness and i know i'm in in the deep and i'm losing my mind honestly i'm losing my strength and this feels too hard for me to handle i've been a part of tc nation for three years now and i need my church family you probably will never see this but i'm writing you because i need god to see me leslie as a church we're about to pray for you and i don't know why the holy spirit dropped that on me five minutes before i walked out here but we're not just gonna pray for leslie if you need healing for anything i need you to join your faith right now the holy spirit he's not just here he's in that hospital room with leon and leslie he's with you and your family church can we pray i know i know there's a lot going on right now but by the power of the holy spirit the same power that raised jesus christ for the dead can find the cancer in leon's body it can find the tumors in your mom's body it can heal the depression that you've been working through church god said that my house should be called a house of prayer and before we get a message that we can re-teach we need the power of the holy spirit to invade real situations so we don't know how to pray as we ought but the holy spirit he begins to intercede on our behalf and so i need us to pray if you have a heavenly language begin to speak in that and i'm going to speak out father in the name of jesus we pray for healing in your children right now if you need healing lift your hands by faith i want you to receive this father we speak to everybody to every mind to every soul and we declare that by the power of the holy spirit that the healing virtue of god will begin to flow i declare and i believe sickness was birthed out of the place of sin but father we are not of this world father god we are ambassadors from the heavenly kingdom so we need the power that is available in heaven to invade earth right now i declare that disease and sickness and tumors and cancer and pain and hurt and feelings father god have lost i declared that by the power of the holy spirit that you would begin to go in move like only you can move god transform like only you can transform god renew restore rejuvenate rebuild re ah regenerate in the name of jesus we specifically send prayers to fort worth right now and we i need y'all to pray this is this the holy spirit highlighted this on purpose we pray for leslie and leon and father we declare and we believe that it's about to take over your healing virtue is taking over that hospital i need you to pray like that's your little boy i need you to pray like that's your cousin i need you to pray like that was mj god we're crying out to you father we don't know why a seven-year-old would get cancer but father we know the god who can heal cancer and father we're asking you give the doctors wisdom give the mama strength let leon know that he was built for such a time as this and father you're gonna use his life as a testimony god has believers all over this world we cry out heal our land god i need you to just begin to pray heal our land god father we're we're we're interrupting our service in our plan because what we got to say has nothing in comparison to if you just heal our land if you touch our hearts if you mend the marriage god [Music] we send prayer to paris bowen's family father god a musician that lost his life this week father god people are hurting everywhere father we send prayers to his family his wife and his children we send prayers to dmx's family we said no i need y'all to pray we're not just talking about something that affects us father we send prayer i need y'all to pray y'all i feel this thing from my soul father for every person we don't know their name but holy spirit you know their situation we send your word to heal we send the word by your stripes father god you can heal depression you can heal anxiety you can heal father god every lie of the enemy that has come to say this is how it is [Music] we trust you god and as a church it will always be said that this is a house of prayer interrupt whatever you want to interrupt god change whatever you want and change god we want to hear from you today as miracles are starting all over the world some of y'all need to even check yourself right now some of the pain that you were feeling before this prayer y'all playing y'all don't believe in miracle signs and wonders but i'm telling you somebody right now under the sound of my voice the healing virtue of god go back to the doctor and let them check it go back and see if the pain is still there god is healing said i am the lord that healeth thee he says i am the lord your healer i sent my word and healed your disease i am the lord your healer i just hear god saying that he said don't think of me as somebody that is sitting idly by the side waiting for a doctor's report i fashioned informed you i know everything about you he said i am the lord that healeth thee said i am the lord your healer i sent my word and healed your disease i am the lord your healer see a lot of you when i say disease you think it's some terminal illness but if you break those two words down it's this ease what has disrupted your ease in life and he says i am the lord that healeth me said i am the lord your healer i feel this so strong said i sent my word to heal your dis-ease i am the lord your healer [Music] heal deliver set free change renew transform redo regenerate remake heal everything that no man could do that no pills could do that no amount of sex could do that no amount of money can do do it only you can do holy spirit heal us [Music] and when the testimonies come in and when the reports come back different and when the bank account is full and when everything in our family has turned around we will not say it was because of our goodness and our giving and our positioning but it will be all for the glory of god if you're gonna give god all the glory why don't you go ahead and start now come on all over the world give god a shout of praise oh i feel this thing i said give god a shout out praise glory to god [Music] somebody there's a praise swelling up because you know everything is about to change we honor you lord we worship you father there's nobody like jehovah there's nobody like our god [Music] [Music] some of y'all haven't had permission to give god the praise that he deserves but i'm telling you you got five seconds right now you better ask the fool make them call the apartment landlord i dare you right now to lose your dignity and to give god the praise that he deserves hallelujah your good father your great holy spirit there's no one like you jesus oh y'all ain't seen a pastor do this in a while but it don't matter what you think about me he's been way too good y'all better stop playing with god out here he's ready to heal he's ready to deliver he's ready to set free every addiction every pain every decision [Music] [Applause] if y'all thought y'all knew what god was about to do if you knew what god was about to do you would start praising god right now [Music] if you knew what god was about to do you and start praising god right now if you knew what he was working on in the background if you knew do y'all feel that that's the freedom of the lord and where the spirit of the lord is there is freedom [Music] some of us about to be messed up all week see we can't stop talking about the holy spirit and not realize where the spirit of the lord is the bible says there's liberty or there's freedom what that means is as you continue to allow the holy spirit to do what only he can do there's a freedom somebody shouted me freedom set it at me again say freedom god told me there's a freedom coming to this house [Music] if you're looking for three points in a poem this is not gonna be the place for you for the next few weeks because whatever god says if we go two hours we go two hours if we go 30 minutes and cut it off we go 30 months and cut it off where the spirit of the lord is there is free uh-oh i think the spirit of the lord is where you're at too and i think there's a freedom coming to your house of freedom coming to your worship a freedom come into your life somebody shout at me freedom there's a freedom coming i feel that thing is strong [Music] y'all get ready freedom is here y'all get ready the freedom is here yeah yeah thank you lord [Music] thank you lord i know you want me to rush and get to the point but you can't move when god's not moving you just gotta wait say loud pause and think thank you lord we invite you in this place come on i want everybody to say that out of your mouth say i invite you and then put your hands on yourself in this place just say it one more time holy spirit i invite you in this place and wherever you are there's freedom some of y'all been so bound and such so in bondage to what people are thinking of you and so on bondage to to things in the future that haven't even happened yet that's where anxiety comes from you've been so in bondage to where's the next meal coming from or where's my money come from and god said i live in you and wherever i am there is freedom thank you lord for the freedom that's coming to your people we trust you we believe you and we thank you in jesus name we agree somebody say amen amen let's give god one more shout of praise all over the oh you can do better than that let's give god one more shot of praise all over the world [Music] let me try let me try to start this thing off but god already been doing something in the building we only in week two yo [Music] well i want to welcome everybody to week two of a series we're calling help me the upgrade and y'all if you can't sense what god's trying to do he's trying to release his power in our life see a lot of people don't understand but the whole reason we're doing this series is because i believe there is a portion of the godhead specifically the holy spirit that has been marginalized not talked about deemed weird and and has literally made whole groups of people think that it's not even something we should be messing with today and the thing that i came to tell you is that the holy spirit is not just weird or or he's he's not just a part of the godhead he's the upgrade like what you don't understand is this is the part of scripture and the part that jesus tells us out of his all mouth this is not a pastor apostle a bishop a minor prophet a major prophet this ain't none of them this is jesus himself our example telling us that the holy spirit is the one that has come to help us i just see so many people in need of help right now and they're looking to men to do what only god can and in this series i want to refocus us back to god and god the holy spirit so in the next six weeks i'm going to be your teacher i'm your professor i want my lab coat today okay i'm going to be your professor and what we are going to do is we are going to walk systematically through scripture to see what it says about the holy spirit just say it out of your mouth say holy spirit yeah i just want you to get used to saying it because you're going to be saying that name a lot more just say it one more time say holy spirit and i want you to realize that there's something that i'm even trying to break my myself out of is saying the holy spirit because holy spirit is his name not the holy spirit you don't say the michael you don't say the tommy the tommy we want you to come no no we would say tommy we want you to come this is something your pastor's going to mess up but y'all know we live transparent and humble open and transparent i'm showing you in front of you that god is still working on me he showed me that last week he said my name ain't the holy spirit my name is holy spirit and i started to think about like oh snap i've relegated to like when you know how people say the walmart they get on my nerves on people like the youtube like no it's just youtube the holy spirit is saying the same thing it's holy spirit even my points that are going to come up today they're going to have the in front of them because i i prepared this a week ago i'm telling you transparently that god is revealing himself to all of us in real time and if you think you know everything there is to know about god baby you're fooled he is unexplainable i'm doing my best over seven weeks but i'm telling you that there are mysteries of god that we will not ever be able to explain and that's why we have to continue to talk about the god head of the holy spirit everybody just say it one more time say holy spirit all right so let me help you i want everybody to experience a new version of god wherever you are right now i want you to have the upgrade some of you have only experienced version 1.0 of god that means you recognize god and everybody does that they all the big man upstairs you know what i'm saying the the the guy in the sky and all of these like generic things that we say but there are a lot of people the bible tells us he's like they're going to be many people that said they knew me they're going to act like lord lord we did this in your name he was like bro i don't even know you because recognizing somebody doesn't mean that you have a relationship with them and if you're at that point it's all good that you just recognize god i'm glad that you're watching today what i want you to do in this series is go from recognizing god to receiving jesus the whole reason this church exists is to represent god to you no matter if you're lost or found for one reason we want you to receive jesus we want you to be transformed in christ and that's the thing that changed me and so if you're at the place of wondering do i really want to give my life fully to god and not just make them savior but make them lord of my life i'm telling you at the end of this service you're going to have an opportunity to upgrade and the crazy thing about it is there's been over 16 000 people that have upgraded this year through transformation church oh y'all didn't hear me i said over 16 000 people have gone from recognizing god to receiving jesus that's why we give that's why we serve that's why we share that's why we invite because we want people to make sure that their eternities are secure but can i tell you the saddest truth about version 2.0 of god is most people stop at receiving jesus and they struggle for their whole christian life is if they're saved or not or have they gone too far from god or not and what i'm telling you is there is an upgrade everybody say an upgrade and the upgrade is not just to go from recognizing god to receiving jesus but the third upgrade is to release the holy spirit and right now i want to let you know that you don't have to feel weird or crazy about everything that's going on right now i'm a regular person that has been transformed by the power of god in the person of the holy spirit and i'm gonna walk you through this for the next six weeks so that we can get this together i'm gonna answer your questions i'm gonna talk about tongues i'm gonna talk about people falling out and shouting i'm gonna talk about the gifts of the spirit i'm gonna talk about i'm gonna talk about all of it so at the end of this my prayer is you would be able to exhaustively watch all of this stuff and say you know what i want to release the holy spirit in my life i'm telling you my prayer for you right now because this is what jesus told to his disciples john 14 15 and 16 we're about to go there in our bibles but i want you to know that jesus they most theologians believe this was 12 to 15 hours before jesus goes to the cross and if i only had 12 to 15 hours left with the people who are supposed to carry everything on that i've ever done what would i be talking about to them most people would be like hey go take care of this hey the money's hidden right there look what jesus is telling his disciples in john chapter 14 verse 16. he says and i will pray and that word right there means ask and i will ask the father and he will give you another everybody shout at me helper that he capital h may abide with you forever the spirit of truth whom the world can't receive right now because it neither sees him nor knows him but you know him for he dwells with you and will be in you i will not leave you as orphans i will come to you if you have ever felt in this life like you are alone jesus promises you i'm not going to leave you as an orphan i'm going to send you help and his name is holy spirit i'm going to show you a bunch of scriptures right now to see to let you see how valuable having the holy spirit active and alive in your life is today go to john chapter 14 verse 26 but the helper the holy spirit so so just so we know who the helper is it puts it in there the helper who the holy spirit whom the father will send in my name he will watch this teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that i said to you hold on write this point down because this made me really excited the holy spirit is my teacher you need to understand that you can walk into any situation and not know what to do and if you have the holy spirit on the inside of you he will teach you what to do i got to keep going i i found another one in there the holy spirit is not just my teacher it says he will bring to your remembrance all the things that i said to you hold up the holy spirit is better than just my teacher he's also my hard drive the holy spirit is my hard drive you know why you have a hard drive right to store everything that you have on a computer or a device so that when you need it you can recall that thing that's why i read the bible not just to memorize it because i can't remember all of that stuff but if i put it in it goes on to the hard drive and i'll be in a moment and i won't know what to say and the holy spirit says oh i got exactly what you should say in this morning because i am your hard drive the holy spirit will teach you and he'll help you remember everything that you need john chapter 15 26 i'm just trying to give you some perks of having the holy spirit in your life it says but when the helper comes we know who the helper is that's the holy spirit whom i shall send to you from the father the spirit of truth who proceeds from the father he will testify of me the message version says he will confirm that i exist so if you've ever had a question is jesus really real the holy spirit says ask me i'll be your assurance write this point down the holy spirit is my assurance when you don't know god is this you he said i'll testify and i'll tell you i'll confirm it i'll show you i'll make you aware should i marry them i'll tell you i'll confirm it i'll show you should i move there i'll tell you i will be your assurance that this is god so hold on the holy spirit is my teacher he's my hard drive and he's my assurance i got one more for you john 16 13. however when he the spirit of truth has come he will guide you into all truth for he will not speak on his own authority but whatever he hears he will speak say that with me he will speak just one more time he will that settles every argument does the holy spirit speak jesus said he will speak and he will testify and tell you of the things to come your gps in your car when you type in directions it tells you of things to traffic ahead you want to struggle through life you want to go through broken and failed relationships do you want to have to go through the path that's going to cause you pain if you would get in relationship with the holy spirit he can save bad friends ahead huh he could say years of addiction ahead it says that he will testify and tell you of the things to come he'll say you won't get paid there but you'll develop your purpose there the holy spirit speaks and the problem with most of us is we would rather hear a person speak than the holy spirit y'all be on clubhouse all the time listening to people who don't have any proof oh i'm i'm in somebody's business just because they write millionaire success tips bro show me your account i don't care if you have a credential you can't tell me what's up ahead so when i realize who the holy spirit is he's my teacher he's my hard drive he's my assurance the holy spirit speaks to me so why wouldn't you accept the upgrade why are you fighting so hard to release the holy spirit why are you fighting so hard to not release the holy spirit in your life the reason why i'm so passionate about this the reason why i'm sweating up here and i decided we were going to do this long series on the holy spirit and the reason why i want you to have the upgrade is because where i am today is a direct result of me listening to the holy spirit i've been interviewed by all types of people and they try to quantify what god is doing through my life oh it must have been because and oh okay your social media marketing and oh you came out of nowhere but that was then you put a win no bro all of that that's man's way of describing what only the holy spirit did i'm an equation that you won't be able to solve [Applause] my life is a testimony you will not be able to say one plus one equals two see my testimony is 30 minus negative five carry the a to the z minus a quotient i don't even know the math terms and then it comes out like this that could only be described as the holy spirit [Applause] and in an age where we all need to figure it out and we're trying to figure out formulas and we're trying to get the exact um quotient of what will produce success in my life i want you to have what i have and his name is holy spirit how do i have only six months of tcc education but what i say is studied in colleges around the world how did i have a potentially potential felony case for insurance fraud on my record and now i help pay off people's cars see y'all think y'all think it's got to add up but how in the world was i addicted to pornography and now i helped snatch people out of addictions [Applause] how did i almost ruin the relationship between me and pastor natalie and now i've written the number one new york times best-selling books about relationships it don't add up baby look at my life it don't add up but when you throw in the holy spirit i am getting excited right now they will not be able to figure out how you went from that to this and they don't have to as long as all you know is it was the holy spirit [Applause] how in the world did i not take any business classes but i am the ceo of an organization that didn't get a building on the block but we bought the whole block [Applause] he got a name his name is the holy s [Applause] y'all better hear me the holy spirit is my advantage i have an advantage [Music] every christ follower that releases the power of the holy spirit in your life you can walk into any room and they can call you the underdog but it don't matter baby cause i have an advantage you can take me to any classroom any boardroom any negotiating table and i have never seen this language in my life but baby you can talk circles around me but i have the advantage and the advantage his name is holy spirit [Music] i can't tell you how many times i've left this platform and said i'll never be able to do that again and somehow i get in prayer and i crack open my bible and i listen i tell charles all the time i was like how in the world did it happen again y'all don't know every sunday i get up here and 30 40 000 of y'all tune in y'all be up like lord i'm ready for the word and i'll be like lord what is the word like i need to can i be hot like but every week every week he does not run out some of y'all have been holding back your creativity you've been holding back your wisdom you've been holding back your words that means you think it's in you but the reason i can give everything that i got is because it ain't coming from me the same god that was there at creation hovering over the deep go back and say genesis 1 he is the same god that is sitting with me standing up strong in me i have the advantage [Applause] [Music] count me out if you want to don't add me if you want to but i have the advantage his name is what holy spirit and people ask me all the time how do i walk so confidently because i know who's in me [Applause] there is no how do i say it clearer there is no situation you will ever walk in with the holy spirit that you can be played in now i've walked into situations by myself and played myself y'all know how you act like you know something you don't know him you know how you act like you've been there and you ain't been there you had you know how you act like you've been through marriage counseling but you ain't really been through marriage counseling so when you hit a bump in the road you act like you don't want to go to counseling but you actually need the wisdom of the holy spirit because it's not going to happen with just your knowledge and watching people on instagram yeah i've been there you played yourself but there's no situation that i let the holy spirit lead and he left me out there hanging i have the advantage and i want you to have it and the truth is you already have it you just haven't muzzled you just act like he ain't there and y'all say stuff like this something told me oh oh yeah yeah yeah i just had this strong feeling that's the holy spirit like man you're going on a date with them in the holy spirit like no are you like living my best life i hear about the kill up about day night and holy and you out here wondering why god why didn't you say something i was trying but you shut down your advantage y'all think that i'm saying this y'all think these are my words you think this is just something clever so go to john 16 7. write the point down first the holy spirit is my advantage say it out loud with faith the holy spirit is my advantage when you go to your workplace tomorrow it doesn't matter what the title is in front of your name well i ain't gonna give my best until they recognize that i'm the senior lead this dad and every position i've ever had they had to make up for me we've never done this before why because the holy spirit was not making me somebody who just got the job done i was solving problems that they didn't even know they had yet see the holy spirit didn't it say that he'll tell you of the things to come he'll he'll show you if you would allow him yeah yeah i know they're working on that project but at home i want you to dedicate two hours a night well god that's my netflix show yeah yeah i know but you're going to be broke for the next five years and asking where i am i'm trying to give you the advantage right now every night i need you to give two hours to working on this well they didn't ask me for it what if they didn't he said baby i'm in every room i'm in every meeting i'm everywhere you want to be and i know everything you need to know i'm the holy spirit put some respect on my name work on this project every night for two hours and it would be just like god that three months later they're at a crossroads in the company and they call everybody in for a meeting and the guy's standing up there frazzled the big boss never comes in but somehow he's there today i wanted to call everybody in here because i need fresh ideas what's happening is not cutting it you what's your name gerald where do you work too low for you to know but in my spare time i've been working on something that i thought would lead us into the future of this company and then you'd be like i don't know what to say and the holy spirit stands up strong on the inside of you and as a matter of fact i need you to recognize that friend yeah i'm telling y'all i have the ad faith [Applause] the only way i can explain it to you is that jesus told us that this is what would happen john 16 7. nevertheless that word means that jesus was even having to convince them this is going to be hard for y'all to believe because y'all walk with me but i tell you the truth like that's like jesus saying i put this on my mama y'all know how when you was in school and somebody like put that on something maybe like i put this on my mama jesus says nevertheless i tell you the truth it is to your advantage that's bible it is to your advantage that i go away for if i do not go away the helper the holy spirit will not come to you but if i depart i will send him to you and in every room and every discussion at the point of your failure in the midst of your mistakes in the greatest hurts you've ever experienced the holy spirit your helper is your advantage somebody say i have the advantage okay so so let me help explain this to you in a deeper way because um let's just say it like this the holy spirit is god so i want to break this down to you god walks with you all the time you don't act like it no i just want to be like for real i want you to think about shaquille o'neal walking with you at security everywhere you went you would have more confidence in a retired nba star who's seven whatever walking with you feel more protected with shaq walking with you and you have god the holy spirit walking with you at all times at christmas time i ever i hear everybody talking about emmanuel amen you well but do y'all know what emanuel means god with us why do we only say that at christmas i call him emmanuel on monday emmanuel we got to go to work today emmanuel i got to go raise these kids what does that mean god with us and the problem is we have not seen the holy spirit as god and that's why last week i tried to normalize your understanding of god god and god y'all remember that last week where i said it was god god put that chart on the screen because i need everybody if you're just joining us go back and watch the message but it's worth us going over again that god is his name he's god the father jesus is god and holy spirit is god three equal persons in one there is no delineation when one of them shows up all of them show up but they have different and specific functions according to the bible in our lives god the father is provider he is set apart and he's holy and he has a residence of heaven jesus is god and he was our savior and now he is seated at the right hand of the father according to luke and his residence is in heaven and god the holy spirit is our helper and he's active and he's alive right now on earth he's your advantage right now it's all good because it's all god now i need you to hear me say this when god the father shows up he shows up with himself his whole self so i know a lot of y'all was like well okay god the father so and then jesus and then the holy spirit like i don't understand like how is he here and then there there listen this is beyond our comprehension i need to let you know that this is what we call the mystery of god now i know don't know church talk about this because we're so intellectual that we want to know everything about everything that we use but the thing about this is in this faith journey that you're about to go on with god you will not be able to explain a lot of it you see how quiet it is i need to know really because there will be parts of your christian walk that you will not be able to explain you will only be able to experience i need you to hear me say this because some of you who are so intellectually deep and you're saying until i fully know what is going on i cannot serve god and i can't do this you don't know how your microwave fully works but you still use it some of y'all had 30 seconds add 30 seconds after y'all know who y'all are popcorn that you only use four button and it's 32 of them but you're telling me because you don't know the ins and outs of everything that comes with god that you can't serve him you don't know how math works after algebra one and they started adding letters and they started adding different signs and pie and god bless y'all i like sweet potato pie but i didn't know pie was in math you don't know how it fully works but you still use it to count your money what i'm saying to you listen to this i heard this quote a god that is exhaustively understood by finite human beings is not a god that is glorious enough to be worshipped if you can explain everything about god why are we not worshiping you all i need you to know is that we at transformation church embrace write this phrase down the mystery of god apostle mike in first thessalonians and this did this and you don't know this and you don't know this i don't but guess who will tell you the holy spirit if you allow him he'll tell you about himself do you know how many scriptures i come to where i don't understand the meaning and then i say holy spirit you have to give me revelation and just like that as i began to pray i might be walking out without understanding and the holy spirit you know it's like this right and i'll be like oh my goodness that's what we call revelation and he still speaks and if you need a man to convince you that means that you have not allowed the holy spirit to consume you there are things that i don't have to be convinced of because i was consumed by him and i'm telling you right now just because you don't know the ins and outs of how everything works doesn't mean that you don't use it except your advantage except the upgrade except the holy spirit y'all know when i say god shows up fully y'all may not get it like that so i'm gonna use a real person as an example so you can see exactly what i'm talking about when i say god um god god maybe you'd understand it better if i said mike mike and mike okay like like if i explain this to you and it's me okay so if you were looking at my life mike is my name mike is my name mike is my name my title is pastor and my function as a pastor is what put it on the screen leave me oh y'all going the other way all right we'll do it that way okay it's the leader and just build the whole thing out okay that's one version of mike the next version is father so my title is father and i'm isabella mj and ava ray and another little baby's father how did i get four kids y'all i have to stop touching on personality but it's four no more it's over now but i'm a father and my function is provider and in my status in that household is lead servant and my location is to be present wherever my kids are i need to be a present father let me show you this last version i am a husband and i'm a husband to one woman and i need to be very clear about this because i've seen some of your dms pastor natalie is not the first lady she's the only lady so i need to be very clear auntie got hands so i just want to make sure that you're here for spiritual wisdom and not a problem but i am a husband to one woman and my function is her partner and my status is lead servant for all my men that are out there can i give you a key real quick that the status wherever you are men of god you're supposed to be the lead servant there so with your wife you're supposed to be the lead servant at your job you're supposed to be a lead servant that's a whole other message for a whole nother day but i'll teach about that a little bit later and where my location is is wherever pastor natalie is at is she in the tub i'm there is she at the beach i'm there is she in the bed i'm there okay that's how we got all them kids anyway i want you to see that mike the pastor when he shows up he doesn't show up without mike the father and mike the husband when mike the father shows up he doesn't show up without mike the pastor and mike the husband let me help you mike the pastor's here you've seen mike the pastor here he is he's the man gives you a word but do you know what's with me everywhere that i go it's mike the father who at the moment that i'm giving you a word if natalie calls me and tells me that my daughter fail and has to go get staples in her head which actually happened this week mike the pastor was there but he gone now because family is my first ministry god's not gonna ask me what he what i did with transformation church while natalie and my kids sitting over there all broke up he's gonna say you were supposed to love her like i love the church then then you come and love the church let me stop i don't this is not a marriage seminar but i need to help y'all so so when the when pastor father shows up my pastor's still there so while we're at the the emergency room getting staples in my head the ladies take not my head and bella's head y'all pray for my daughter that was so traumatic but i'm sitting there and while i was sitting there the lady said i love your sermons oh wow god bless you and then they said we're gonna have to put some staples in your daughter's head how many staples cause the pastor showed up but the daddy had to be priority so while my daughter's sitting there and i'm holding her and she's saying daddy no daddy and i'm holding her face i'm not thinking about what i'm speaking on sunday but i showed up with the pastor and when my wife when we get home that night she's in the bed and she begins to cry because the baby's keeping her up and she's feeling bad for bella and mj having insomnia i do not bring yeah well you know what the word says in first thessalonians some of y'all don't know when to bring out all of you you just need to have crazy faith i would when my wife needed me her husband michael held her all night husband michael rubbed her feet what i'm saying to you is just like the godhead when one person of me shows up the other two are there too i can't separate the father from the leader to the husband so when i show up you might get a different version but you always get me when the holy spirit shows up god's there and jesus is there when jesus was on the cross god was there and the holy spirit was there at creation when god was sitting there about to create let us you can't separate him he's everywhere all the time well pastor i don't understand remember it's the mystery of god and i just need to prove it to you because i just heard a couple of people in their spirits you know how jesus sometimes like i heard what they were thinking let me give you bible on this i'm going to show you through scripture places where we see jesus the father god and the holy spirit all at the same verse look at john 14 16 and i that's jesus highlight these in your bible so that you can be able to be sure and assured that the holy spirit is god it says and i jesus will pray to the father and he will give you another helper that's the holy spirit and that you may abide with him forever that's all three of them in one verse let me give you another one john 14 26 but the helper that's the holy spirit whom the father that's god will send in my name that's jesus's name he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that i said that's all of them in one verse let's go to another one john 15 26 it says but the helper that's the holy spirit comes when he comes whom i jesus shall sing to you from the father the spirit of truth who proceeds from the father he will testify of me and just for those who are a little skeptical and you're like but they're not all at the same place at the same time i'm glad you asked for that because when jesus was baptized he's getting baptized by john in luke chapter 3 verse 22 and it says and the holy spirit descended in bodily form talk about the mysteries of god people say he he he descended like a dove yeah yeah or it was a dove he wasn't a dove it said he descended in bodily form what does the holy spirit look like in a body like a dove upon him jesus and the voice came from heaven which said you are my beloved son that's the father talking in whom i am well pleased god is always three in one and the trinity defers to each other i need to say the father glorifies and magnifies the son the son only does what the father wants him to do the son tells the holy s tells us that the holy spirit is coming and we need to accept the upgrade and the holy spirit guides you to the son they always you talk about the big three y'all thought it was the wayne wade lebron and chris bush y'all thought the big three was was kevin garnett paul pierce and uh uh what's his name and rondo y'all thought the big three was what these team no no the original big three it's god the father god the son and god the holy spirit all equal but we'll dunk on you in a second i saw this picture that reminded me of what it looks like when the holy spirit god and jesus are all together deferring to themselves can you put that on the screen for me real quick this is what it looks like god god and god it looks like them having a conversation saying you're wonderful no you're wonderful man i loved how you led them to me man i loved how you healed them man i love how you created every like they are all because they all come together pastor mike why are you spending so much time giving us this foundation because if your foundation is 30 knowing that the holy spirit jesus and god are in the father are all god then what i'm about to teach you next week is going to transform your life but without the right foundation you can't build up on it so we recognize the holy spirit is god i need to give him one more charles because can i outright prove the holy spirit is god go to acts chapter 5 verse 3. this is just for the skeptics just for a second because some of y'all don't have people chair to talk in and clamor and i need you to come back to this acts chapter five verse three in one verse i'm about to outright prove the holy spirit is god but peter said ananias why has satan filled your heart to lie to the holy spirit if you go to the end of verse 4 it says you have not lied to men but to god when you lied to the holy spirit you weren't lying to a man you were lying to god and the holy spirit said don't lie to me i want to be your helper i want to be your friend i want to be the one that helps you in every area of your life so the one thing that you got to understand is that he's not just god the holy spirit is a person write that down pastor mike you keep saying the same thing until you get it he's a person see the difference is most of you are sitting in a chair right now you would not consider that chair a person and some of you don't know what makes up a person but i don't have the time to go through the whole thing but a person comes from somebody or something that has a personality you can see that person is the root word of it and if i want to go more um theological the definition of a person is someone who has a soul that's someone who has a mind will and emotions did you know that the holy spirit has a mind will and emotions he's a person and the thing is we think with our mind we desire with our wheels and we feel with our emotions i'm going to say it one more time so you have enough time to write it down we think with our mind we desire with our wheels and we feel with our emotion could it be that the reason the holy spirit needs to be released in your life is so that you can think what god thinks desire what god desires and to feel what god feels when we prayed for leslie and leon at the beginning of service the holy spirit let me feel what god i'm getting emotional again he let me feel his heart for his daughter who felt like she was lost and broken and why would this happen to my seven year old and i started feeling what god felt interrupted our plan had people praying for her because i got on my own michael don't care that much i'm an eight on the enneagram emotions to me is yeah that's extra how can i lead people with empathy i have the advantage see some of y'all take all of these psychological tests and all these different things and you put yourself in a box well i'm a two and i'm a three and i'm this no no no baby all of that is good for information so i know exactly what to ask the holy spirit for that i do not have so i don't have empathy holy spirit my advantage how can i counsel people and i do not have empathy how can i know the heart of god it says you have the advantage it's not natural but i'm supernatural you gotta stop using your natural state as an excuse for what god requires of you in this next season i'm gonna say it again to you you have to stop using your natural inclinations as an excuse to not do what god's called you to do in this next season well i'm more introverted but god called you to talk to nations so you have an advantage his name is holy spirit ask the holy spirit because you will no longer be able to skirt by in this next season saying what you don't naturally have when god can give you anything that you need no no no no because i made the excuses too remember when you hear my testimony i told bishop i can't be the pastor of that of a church i don't like people that much like that was my that was my natural inclination and now my staff and team when people are in the building they don't want to let me out because if i get out the back and i get around people i will stay for two three four hours hugging kissing i mean before i can run talking listening intently to every single person why because when i accepted this role god wouldn't let my natural be my excuse he said when i make you a pastor if you ask me i'll give you the advantage and i won't just take you from being someone who doesn't like people that much i will develop in you a love for my people what have you been saying you don't have that the holy spirit is willing ready and needing to give you it's no longer an excuse you have the holy spirit you see that silence that's what we call conviction because if i had the money if i had the connection if i if i if i had somebody that would listen the holy spirit said i'm your advantage stop trying to network with them listen to me i can remember a time in ministry and people in this room were ministered i just thought i knew i can preach i know i could do it if if pastor stephen furtick just knew me we would be friends and i would be able and i remember sitting behind him at victory christian center in a conference and paul gets up and says turn around and greet your neighbor and right before you say i said this is my mom you know how slow motion it's like like i felt that moment and the holy spirit whispered to me he said he's not your comeup i am don't meet him turn around and meet somebody else and in that split moment i turned around and met a woman named susan and the story that would go on to be written in the relationship that god gave me with somebody who was a mentor to me only he could have done it because i listened to the holy spirit the holy spirit has a mind can i prove it to you john 16 13 but when he the spirit of truth comes he will guide you into all everybody say truth say it again truth how can the holy spirit guide you into all truth and he doesn't know everything he knows everything that's why we say god is omniscient that comes from two words that's omni which means all and science which means knowledge god the holy spirit has all knowledge you have someone who knows everything about everything that is a living on the inside of you and he has committed to being your teacher why would you not use the upgrade you're a contractor in a business ask the holy spirit to help you in your business you're a law a lawyer and you don't know how to crack the case ask the holy spirit of what you're supposed to do the holy spirit has a mind guess what else he has the holy spirit has a will look at acts 16 6 this was paul he was trying to go to a place and now when they had gone through phrygia and the region of galatia they were forbidden by the holy spirit to preach in the word in asia now most of us would trip out right there they just wanted to preach the word they just wanted to do god's will it's helping people and god says if you want to know my will about it i need you to follow my timing do y'all know that the right thing in the wrong season is a curse no no no like i want you to realize like it's not that it's bad it's just bad timing and and the word forbid means to exercise one's will i have to forbid ava all the time to eat candy that girl will eat starburst skittles slushies she donuts she just has so much so i have to literally tell her no no you're not eating any more candy until next week and then she looks at me and then i give another starbucks but sometimes it works but it's exercising my wheel the holy spirit has a will i'm trying to show you that all of these things the holy spirit being a person having a mind will and emotion is an advantage for you watch this the holy spirit has emotions see we always talks about the fruits of the spirit but have you recognized it's the fruits of the holy spirit everybody like fruits and spirits love joy peace those are all traits of a person galatians 5 22 but the fruit of the spirit of the holy spirit is love a person has love not trees see because a lot of people would say like what qualifies you for being alive and some people would say or qualify you for being a person and some people say being alive but trees are alive but they're not a person and i want you to understand that you have to have characteristics mind will emotions he said the fruit of the spirit is love a person has love joy a person has joy peace a person has peace patience a person has patience kindness a person has kindness a tree can't have kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self-control a person has those against such things there is no law and then ephesians 4 30 i'm just trying to show you that he is a person he is real he's realer than me and you it says and do not grieve the holy spirit of god who you were sealed for the day of redemption grief is an emotion joy is an emotion grief is emotion the holy spirit how could you grieve the holy spirit if he was not a person and do you know what grieves the holy spirit sin see the one thing that nobody told me that i hope you get today as you walk around with the holy spirit as your advantage or you're about to accept him as the advantage and you're going to release him into your life is that what jesus did was provide for your eternal salvation and then he gives us the upgrade and says it's to our advantage that the holy spirit we accept him but what happens is he's still god and when we come down and we live our life and we sin we grieve the holy spirit see grief is sadness watch this listen it's sadness you feel when you lose intimacy with the person so the holy spirit wants to walk come here charles the holy spirit wants to walk close with you in everything you do charles represents the holy spirit but when i lie what it does is it creates a separation between the whisper of god in my ear and what i want to do now watch this my eternity is still solidified we are saved by grace through faith it's not my works that produce my salvation it's what jesus did but when i sin i can no longer be intimate with the holy spirit so when i repent and when i say god i don't want to live like that holy spirit come fill me again creating me a new heart creating me a clean heart renewing me a right spirit now i can hear again and he says go this way and he says go that way and he says move and he says come and he says go but then i get it and then i start going back to old habits because the pressure is so so hard to be able to handle now at this level and so i need to go back to the bottle and it wasn't just a sip i got drunk and from the drunkenness then i i invited it was one of them nice and then things and then i didn't know and then and what i did is i just distanced myself from being able to be intimate with the holy spirit and the worst place to be in this world is in a spot where you can't hear god can i be real can i no can i be real real when i first started pastoring that last example wasn't uh a uh a made-up story when i first started pastoring i i i tell everybody very clearly most pastors won't share this because everybody's testimony is 42 years ago and 98 years ago back when flintstones ruled the earth like what for me that first year of pastoring in youth ministry and we started going and i wasn't really taking it serious and then pressure started to come and then we was about to merge with different people and i had a battle with pornography for a decade and when i felt the pressure coming in of all the different things i started i didn't know how to handle certain things and so i was looking for a release valve and i would try to pray and i would try to do stuff and i didn't have accountability and i didn't know in this stuff and then god would move in a service and young people would be getting saved everywhere and people be coming from everywhere and then monday night i'd find myself at a computer it started off looking at tennis shoes it started off looking at looking at content for next week's message but can i be honest i went from looking at content about last next week's message to looking at pornographic material and what the enemy did in that moment was tricked me into believing that that could bring me what only the fruits of the spirit could bring me and so i settled for a cheap counterfeit and the worst part about it is i had to get up the next week in front of those same young people and say holy spirit come and it was muffled he was still speaking but i couldn't hear the same way he responded every time i called but it's uh so then i see everybody stand up i think that's what he said [Music] we're gonna sing that again sing it again just sing it again our supply service used to be like four hours long it wasn't because it takes the holy spirit long to do anything uh-oh let me stop some of the church services we've been in and some of the ways that we've done ministry is because the people who've been leading the church and been leading the worship and believing the ban the holy spirit was speaking but it was muffled [Music] and they're going again and again and again and again trying to wait for a break or trying to wait for this up there he is he came no he was there the whole time but your sin muffled him he was there the whole time but what you did before and why are you touching people on the altar call and looking at their cleavage ma'am can i speak to you afterwards god's given me a word for you you want to know how you grieve the holy spirit and the reason why we have to bring reverence back to the god person of the holy spirit is because he's the one that's going to lead us into all truth he's the one when i stand up and i get a prophetic word he's the one that's telling me what to say he's telling me of the things to come and can i help you you can get a word from god in your one bedroom apartment i'm going to say something that might offend a lot of pastors and preachers come close if you get a real relationship with god the holy spirit you only need me to confirm what he already told you the pastor should not be giving you new information the prophet should not be giving i never oh my all they should be doing is edifying and confirming correcting little tweaks on what god already told you don't gotta pay 200 for a conference please don't spend your money for a prophetic word i'm messing people up right now because if you get a relationship with the holy spirit it is a free upgrade with accepting the person of jesus it's better it's to your advantage that i go because then i'll send you the holy spirit the helper the advocate the the the scripture literally uses different words and and that word helper is in um the scripture five times i believe and in the scriptures we read we've already read it four times all of them are talking about the holy spirit and this word holy spirit it's para clatos and para means to to alongside and clatos means to come what jesus said is i'm sending someone to come alongside of you in every situation you would ever go through you're going through bankruptcy the paraclete or the paracletos will be there with you he's going to come alongside of you and in every document ask about that don't sign that yet asked him what that means five years from now do you know how many situations i've been in and i had no clue what to do and all i had to say is holy spirit help me one of the words that is used as a translation for the holy spirit is the word comforter and when i started looking at this word it's in john 14 16 and i will send you another comforter i started thinking about what it looks like to live in this world and the truth is this world is cold and there is nothing worse than wanting to sleep and you cold me and my wife have almost had arguments that ended it all over the amount of times that she rolled over and you know when they roll over and they take that if you're not married you don't know nothing about this but all my married people in the comments need to be saying hey man because you know when they roll over and then they take and then you be just wanting to be like wow like just there have been many nights that i wake up frustrated because i'm cold one of the things i'm being light but but i thought about comforter what would it look like in a cold world to be in the bed of life and it looks good i'm trying to get comfortable at the job trying to get comfortable i got the pillows i got the trying to get comfortable but i still have not accepted the comforter this is a picture of what many of you look like in your daily christian life let me just put the pillows [Music] you know what i got some tissue i got a couple friends i got some followers if i could just get my followers up if i could just get the right connection if they would join my clubhouse or follow me on twitter this is not a comforter your friend group is not [Music] your comforter no no no forget that i don't need no friends it's just me and my writer dying i thought the relationship was gonna make me feel warm i thought the relationship was going to take care of the emptiness that i felt and some of us in this cult world have settled [Music] no i'm gonna get a divorce i'm gonna go through i'm gonna go for success now as long as my business do i want my bottom half covered or my top hat do i don't do i want to live in integrity or do i want to be used by god [Music] and the whole time the whole time the whole time the whole time the whole time the comforter that was made and fit for the bed of life that i have to lay in is waiting ready and available why wouldn't you do you know how dumb it would look that night after night that i tried to cover up with things that couldn't cover me oh oh you saw this one and he was like well why don't you cover up with this see the thing of this is is fake see what you don't know is this is supposed to be cashmere it promised and looked and felt like something that could really keep me warm but if you were to feel what i'm feeling right now it's very thin it looks weighty it looks good but this is just like me being with no blanket what are you saying pastor mike it's time for us to get our weight up [Applause] and to stop settling for counterfeits and to open and release the power of the holy spirit that has the weight that has the ability that has the size the breath and the depth it can cover me whatever i go through i can get all the way under it hey i can get all the way under it it has room for me and it has room for my family oh the holy spirit is the covering that will make sure that we are comforted my advantage is the comforter in this cold world why wouldn't you receive the comforter i got to be done for today he's available know i thought about it that when we were young most of us had something that comforted us to bed a binky a teddy and when we were young it was okay to be comforted like when we were young we knew like oh he's not gonna sleep if he don't take his little mean meat y'all know that we make all these different names for even though he needs daddy he needs because in that moment we knew for us to actually rest that we needed a comforter and somewhere along the way we were taught that it was no longer okay for us to use a comforter and many parents have seasons of weaning where you know they're going to cry and scream and then all this other stuff you can't be six years old walking around with a daughter and we do all of this stuff so that people don't think anything bad about our kids could it be that in that moment something get that we need gets killed as well though i'm not saying your kid needs to be 15 walking around with a pacifier what i am saying is don't just take it away and not introduce them to another comforter i just feel like you don't i mean practically you don't need that blanket to go to to sleep baby the holy spirit is here with you mom what's the holy spirit he's god and he's your friend and he's gentle and he's loving and every evil spirit that will come he beats him up and he fights them and he he stands for you and he knows the number of hairs on your head and he thinks you're beautifully and wonderfully made and you're the head and not the tail and you're above only and not beneath it he has a great plan before you even before you were in mommy's womb he knew you he formed you and instead of using this as your comforter i want to give you the holy spirit well i can't see him but you don't see wind and you don't see wi-fi but we use it on our tablets every day he's more real than wi-fi baby and he's more real than wind he is emmanuel god with us and i don't know maybe some of god's children need to know that he didn't just send a savior he's giving you a comforter and whatever's going on in your life right now he's ready to cover you in our household we call the comforter the cover pass me the cover i don't know where we got that from i don't know but he's like hey go get the cover and it hit me that's what the comforter does he covers i have an imperfection that i need to work out oh [Music] just jump in the presence of the holy spirit and he will cover you and i don't know who i'm talking to today but this is the holy spirit and he wants to comfort and cover you hands lifted up all over this building all over the world watching a rebroadcast wherever you come on hands lifted hands lifted hands lifted we're going to invite the holy spirit into this place come on right now close your eyes and just say out loud say holy spirit what are you trying to say to me through this message he's speaking we heard it he speaks some of y'all he's reminding you of stuff he told you years ago others of you he's speaking to you for the first time that little impression that you feel or that little thing you're like no that's me no no no that's the holy spirit right now some of you he's convicting you or a better way to say that he's convincing you that you need a savior some of you that have messed up he's convicting you or convincing you that there's nothing you can do to separate yourself from god's love come on he's doing all kinds of work and all types of people for some of you he's telling you you need to go apologize let him do the work let him cover you let her let him comfort you come on just sing this out say holy holy spirit you the comforter you're welcome here [Music] come on don't rush this moment silence the distractions [Music] the holy spirit is my advantage [Music] yeah he's doing work he's doing surgery sing that again [Music] come on you're inviting him do whatever you want to do in my marriage do whatever you want to do on my attitude do whatever you want to do in my anger come on you're invited cover me comfort me help me advocate for me god come on we're gonna sing that one more time somebody's beginning to release the holy spirit in your life say holy spirit [Music] take over me cover me god your glory [Music] let us know the comforter is here let us know he's here wherever you are [Applause] trust the comforter we hear you god we believe in you you are god holy spirit [Music] we need you [Music] as i was sitting there and we were worshiping the holy spirit said go grab the cover one thing that my wife does when she's not decent when something is not put in the right place or space for somebody to see i've seen her walk to the front door completely covered [Music] and i don't know who i'm talking to but some of you haven't been decent in a while and god is saying to you can i cover you can i comfort that addiction and help you until you're healed can i i know you smoke weed every day and it's all good i know the next three months you're going to keep smoking weed but can i get your heart so i can help change your habits i know you don't want to show anybody and i know that's why i shut down the whole world and i brought the the church to you online because i know you wouldn't have come into the church building but now i'm saying let me in though the holy spirit stands at your door and he knocks he's a gentleman he's not gonna bust the door down he's gonna wait for you to let him in and your response is gonna be holy [Music] that's all you're going to say to him that's all you're going to say to him when he comes to you five minutes after this goes out what are you going to say to him you're going to say you get it he's going to tell you don't go to that thing tomorrow i want you to just stay at home you're going to be like why and then you're going to say no you know what [Music] there are some marriages right now that you go out to eat you go to the movies but you've never sat down and prayed together and this week you're gonna do it for the first time and say what [Music] some of my brothers and sisters in singleness you would go to that website or go to that friend group but god's gonna tell you spend some time with me and your response is going to be [Music] you're going to have to go to the doctor and they're going to give you a report that you didn't want to hear but in that moment where you're about to go down into doubt you're going to say no [Music] cover me comfort me [Music] if you're in this in this moment you've never accepted jesus the bible tells us you can't even come to jesus except the holy spirit draw you he's been drawing you your whole life and today he's drawing you if you want to receive the free gift of salvation if you want to receive it today this is your moment it's the one greatest decision you could ever make it took me from being a liar a manipulator somebody who was addicted to pornography had all kinds of selfish and bad things in my heart and it didn't make me perfect but it made me a progressing man who stands before you today still saying the same thing holy spirit do whatever you want to do with me change me renew me transform me and today i want to offer you the gift of salvation see i know culture and religion will tell you now keep covering yourself and when you get it all figured out then come to god if you could have done that you would have already done it but what god says is i sent jesus to be the atonement the payment for every one of your sins let me help you believe that i sent my son and he lived and he died so that you could have eternal life [Music] and i'm telling you once you get in the door because there's only one way in through jesus but once you get in then you get the upgrade why wouldn't you accept a life that would change everything in just a moment i'm going to pray but if you want to be included in that prayer i don't care who you're with i don't care what you did last night i don't even care what you were planning to do after this service right now god has divinely interrupted your life to give you an opportunity to be transformed and i'm telling you this will change everything one this is the greatest decision that you could ever make two i'm so proud of you but more than that your name will be written in the lamb's book of life three if you want to accept jesus as your personal lord and savior lift your hands all over the world yeah yeah yeah hands are going up the holy spirit is drawing people i need everybody to start praying right now i need y'all to start praying there is eternity it's war it's a war some of y'all right now you're like should i but that means and god's saying tomorrow's not promised today is the day of salvation you all know how we do transformation we pray all together for the benefit of those are coming across i feel the presence of god people's lives are transforming right now people are renewing and recommitting and giving their life to christ we're going to say this prayer all together everybody say god thank you for sending jesus today i acknowledge that you sent him just for me i believe he lived and he died and rose with all power for my freedom so today i give you my life change me renew me transform me i'm yours in jesus name amen can we give god praise all over the world oh come on y'all eternities and purposes have been changed forever let's give god a shout of praise we're so proud of you we're excited heaven is rejoicing so is about 30 000 and they just finding out about the power of the holy spirit you get to walk into salvation and not live a day without inviting the holy spirit into you got access right now you didn't know what you were going to do before this holy spirit what should i do with the rest of my day and he will speak to you so proud of you and transformation nation i'm so proud of you most churches stay away from
