I got sick... Milsim | Road to MSW Saratov | Swamp Sniper

let me tell you a story a story about a kids game a kids game on steroids this is milsim west this is one of those stories i almost didn't tell because it challenged me in ways that you might not expect oh right in the face mate just got lit up by a machine gun i was thinking to myself this flower's really it's beautiful you know when was the last time i stopped to appreciate the color yellow can you imagine a world without yellow how depressing that could be anyway the story doesn't start off with me having revelations about beautiful flowers while i'm quote unquote dead in an airsoft game and for those of you wondering could you participate in something like this absolutely hey swamp sniper how do i join a mel summer airsoft event well if you know me you know that i own one of the largest airsoft fields in the u.s ballahack airsoft field in chesapeake virginia and airsoft fields are either indoor cqb fields or outdoor fields that vary in size and features and then there are game organizers game organizers will generally rent out a large piece of property or a military training site like this one and milsim west is one of those game organizers now i'd already filmed my first milsim west game which was grozny insurgency and the series did great on youtube it had over five million views and it was a consecutive story and i really enjoyed telling it you don't experience this every day jet desert fox and myself were citizens of grozny and we had to basically pick and choose which side we would fight for or against between nato and russian forces which are the primary two fighting forces in the milsome west series i'm a chechnyan civilian that works for the press and nato has been harassing jet desert fox and myself so we end up taking out some native forces and kind of getting arrested this was really fun i was able to tell the story in the way i wanted i didn't have huge expectations and a lot of cool things happened to me and just kind of fell into my hands but i was in a unique position because i was part of like the press and i got to move around and do things but i was also limited so it was a very weird unique thing and if you haven't checked that out be sure to watch that series all right so i'm thinking to myself where is my gun why does this feel so real and how did i get here but for this one i'm going under nato forces so i'm an actual soldier i got all pumped up and i'm like i'm going to make this like feature film documentary style of the most giga ultra sniper experience ever and for it i'm teaming up with my dude nash all right nash you have less than 60 seconds to explain your gear let's go let's go let's go let's go let's go let's go what do you got going on hurry hurry what is this do you have like you have like 40 seconds let's go oh my gosh how how excited are you this all right this is nash what are we doing it's just gonna be a thing okay this is nash and then you say and this is swamp oh who are you no you know what we need to do pause it and this is kind of a quick milsim west prep video as we're preparing to go to milsim west saratov saratov bro show me your gear follow me [Music] this is my gear layout for the event um got my meals up here we got my mountain house biscuits and gravy both days now before you play airsoft anywhere whether it's a field or a large event you always want to research and make sure that you have everything that you need to actually participate there i got my coach set super ultra light what's with my giga power it's literally called giga power power milsim west makes it easy with their tack top as well as their gear checklist and then my tiny little brf stove in there it's not as fast as a jet will but i plan on using it when i'm super safe and around like a bunch of friendly so it doesn't need to be fast um trash bags it's in the tacks off so this is this is like a pretty super light setup that you're going for yeah myself and nash are running pretty light kits for this one this is my wet weather gear outdoor research helium jacket i got my bivvy here it's just the usgi bivvy here i have a snug pack jungle blanket it's small it's like a basically a woobie with a zipper and a bug netting so it's kind of got some nice features got my extra clothing in here uh i got a thermal pant type layer and then a patagonia micro puff i think it is i don't know just in case it gets too cold uh primary weapon is a g g polar star thinks pretty wicked shoots really far has no issue reaching out to like 300 feet i'm gonna give a huge thanks to gng for these awesome gr25 sniper series dmrs they were epic so i'm pretty stoked to be using this probably the nicest gun i've ever had so we are both running um hba so we both got tanks that are going to fit perfectly in our web gear huge thanks to polarstar for converting them to hpa for us so that they would be quiet and shoot gigafar i'm using some beyond clothing which is stupid expensive but very nice got some a9 pants and an a5 shirt i'm trying to see if i can fit everything into this little bag this is a matte bok bag it's all waterproof it's absolutely amazing i've already got my sleeping bag stuffed in there same sleeping bag as nash check this out it's actually expandable this is also jumpable just in case you know we need to jump figure it out all right figured i'd let you know so it fully expands out and can hold a lot more like uh the nods that we're going to be running we're also using skull crushers as opposed to running helmets both running boonies running basically essentially the same web gear we've got we've got all kinds of stuff the real thing is going to be the cameras what boots are we running these are han logs behold the absolute beauty of them the brother of the guy that makes loa makes han wags what do i do with my eyes [Laughter] careful you might start doing it for the rest of your life this is the gr25 sniper version the mags that come with them are 50 round mags and we've had like a small amount of feeding issues with them so we've got we've each are running four of the 120 rounders i thought they were gonna be like 90 rounders that's pretty sweet for so basically actually um all we're allowed to carry is these four we're only allowed to have 500 rounds of ammunition on us um we've got the ryker grip on both of our guns that we're running uh really look forward to seeing how that's right oh potato grip just use the thing try it out it's actually really cool yeah it really is i'm running my uh glock 17. it's the full blowback co2 and we've got uh run cams that we sell at bala hack that we're using we have backup runcam 2 airsoft versions but what we're using is the new 4k versions that we also have and they come with this mounting system right here so it's got a quick detach on it it's super super cool this ipro is what i'm going to try to snag from our store we've got a bunch of nods coming in speaking of nods thanks to heat or high-end armament technology they rent out nods and if you're going to an event or just want to rent some really cool night vision check them out oh he's just emailed me he's packaging it and overnighting it now hello so we're gonna be able to mess with them tomorrow night oh my gosh mr brain exploder dude dude open up the brain exploder thing mad shout out to brain exploder if you don't know who brain exploder is you need to watch him on youtube and you need to go to brainexplodermerge.com he is in my opinion very underrated for all the incredible creations that he makes to help film airsoft and just awesome airsoft accessories in general like he made these night vision filming systems that attached to the eye cup ring on basically like a pbs14 or pbs7i piece now i can see and now that's that right there is white phosphorus and thermal imaging and that's all you need to be an officer those are don't use the word operator in this video operator greater and brighter and greater and greater all you need are these to see and live the rest of your life we've got the 3d printed booney mounts i've used this in the past from brain exploder um we have got two of them and it just clips right onto the front and you're always at the perfect angle you never need to worry about am i too high am i too low am i filming my feet or the sky no no more problems hopefully we're gonna kill some russians and do pretty well and that's gonna be that's gonna be pretty good yeah up next paint our guns now i always hang my gun when i'm painting it and naturals like i don't want to do that and that's cool that's totally fine people do it different ways but we had a little bit of a competition going on here this is the tree this is where i hung my gun and nash didn't like it he wanted to do it his way but i like hanging my gun pretty much every lozen home depot carries the rust oleum camouflage so i have hung my gun like a cell so that i can paint it make sure the lines maintain continuity i've taped over all the spots that i should tape over and nash like a true bigot has decided to just just paint it on some cardboard so it's going to work the same exact same results without having to like hang my gun zero to zero to tan in five seconds all right so what green next whatever you want bro you normally work light to dark yeah base layer of tan green stripes going along it [Music] just connecting them on both sides i feel like he's trying to like push his point whatever it's better than nothing i like that yeah like already that's got like just a pretty cool soft pattern it's broken up in areas and it's now camouflaged i mean that's what i didn't even have to hang it all right your turn see how yours comes out all right so same thing as nash basically applying a uh a base layer of tan on the gun short burst short controlled burst and i'm uh staying about eight inches away from the net so as you can see it being hanged hanging all is not it's not very effective it's it's getting in places where it shouldn't go it's really just a bad idea to hang your gun let's look on the underside of your gun brother my underside don't be looking at my understanding real quick go film your own okay guys come check this out this is a properly painted gun this is the underside of my gun it's completely painted no issues painting except for the stock where i didn't paint it dude if the russians saw this little dark thing right here why you gotta get your line brother all right quick just base layer of tan by hanging it i'm able to have complete control over where i'm painting and see where everything's going i do have my tape of my little swamp sniper lasers thing and you should also tape over if your gun has like a serial number something like that if you want to keep that on it just keep that in mind before handing it but i think it looks pretty sweet just tan [Applause] [Music] with a darker brown i just find this too too much going on i enjoy it it's like your gun's banging you in the head probably at the time and it's just like doing some ballet with your gun dark breath like that big old place right there that looks pretty good i don't like the look of that oh well then stop doing it canadia canadian leaves that's interesting we'll have to do a side-by-side vote on whose gun looks better we've seen that especially because mine looks so bad right there with that why don't you guys vote in the comments below which you think is better i won't be offended or wrong nights i recommend it not being in the guns paint your guns you don't need your gun to look absolutely perfect especially if you actually use it and go to different aos it's fun to paint it for different seasons it's also fun to paint it other side now it's going to pick right back up to 75 miles per hour that is a bus and a half right there holy crap hypothetically speaking i'm gonna do a couple you can cut through cut through hypothetically speaking this is just a little bit of a hyper hyperbole question it's just a hyperbole really quick juxtaposition swamp sniper and jet desert fox the mega millions if anyone's probably not a thing we would see it by now we have the hubble telescope like you telling me we wouldn't see some aliens that's just a theory nash kind of talked a lot he went crazy he started bleeding from the nose because he was talking so much and and tapping into like a deeper level of consciousness i think i'm on realm nine of seven and uh anyway we're like an hour away now we're tired we're late none of our stuff is actually fully prepped and ready and my strep throat is getting like bad i'm really tired so i'm just hoping things just kind of happen for me at the event and i don't have to do anything no i'm saying i'm gonna be doing a lot of stuff drinking water eating some eggs stealing bread send up my tea this is how you eat a big mac all right finally we're on the property it was supposed to take us four hours but it took us over six and the directions were all messed up so dang this site is called panzera training facility it's in west virginia and it's absolutely massive this is only a tiny portion of it something about milson west is you don't want to be late and you want to make sure that you carry your own weight in every way you don't want to rely on other people for anything not for water not for ammo not for anything so i hate being late we showed up just in time i had some terrible discoveries about broken camera equipment and all this other stuff and uh we just rushed to get in line for processing hey christopher i don't like being late hey what's up pete good to see you brother how are you doing so you need your medical card waiver orders your uh your food pictures have inspired me like honestly it's like hey look something positive in life food there they are the beauties the golden gem some of my friends from bala hack run these mortars and it's a really cool addition to the gameplay itself step off is pretty soon and the scenario will be live and we have no idea what to expect and what's going to happen but i do know we have two nights of sleeping out in the field and a bunch of angry russians to combat and we will ultimately be trying to take over the town of saratov which the russians are currently defending now we reach an interesting point in this story this is the point where things start really falling apart for me and this event and my whole dream and plan for it it's also the point where i need to get rid of my phantom og i'm clearing out my studio i've only used this bad boy once and i'm going to give it to one of you i'll tell you how in a second but first thanks to all of you who watched the tiny
