i felt bad for my sim so i built him a new house

we are in dire need of a new house for my legacy challenge let's play and so today we're gonna do just that my sims parents just died we've had this house for like two generations and i feel like it's about time we finally build something new so i'll link the playlist down below i think you will really enjoy this let's play i've done like 25 parts and they're all very fun i must admit i'm a little biased but it's it's fun okay we need a new house we've had this sort of like more modern exterior one that's very black and white for a long time but now that noah's young adult and owns the house i feel like we probably need something a little bit different obviously we're in oasis springs i'm feeling kind of inspired by the neighbors houses in the back i kind of want to build some sort of like mediterranean-inspired villa looking thing obviously a very drastic change from this that we have right now but i feel like it's necessary i'm gonna quickly like put away anything that we want to save you know stuff like family photos some of the cat things my cow plant you know all the basics that we want to keep for a while but otherwise we don't really need anything in this house and we kind of can just like delete it you know but otherwise we don't really need any of these things oh except my toilet hang on that's a fully upgraded toilet that catches on fire it's a good thing i didn't forget it okay otherwise i don't think we need any of these things so we can just delete the house oh this is actually really sad i'm not i'm not ready yet it hurts it hurts oh it hurts okay this is fine it's worth it it'll be worth it in the end it just doesn't feel worth it right now so at the end of the day we have about 45 000 simoleons to build a little house as far as goals go i really really want to have like three bedrooms maybe four i'm not sure how many kids we're gonna have we don't really need that many bedrooms right now but we will eventually i quite liked this house when i was browsing through house pictures and stuff i was also kind of going through these and trying to see if i got any inspiration i'm not going to build anything like exactly but i quite liked the idea of maybe some of this sort of roof line i don't know i'm just trying to do something different basically i just want some like pretty fancy windows a tile roof you know that kind of thing we are probably just gonna wing it though for the most part and we can't spend that much money and those windows are expensive so we have to be careful with that too honestly a lot of the shape could probably be the same now that i think about it like look at this that shape for the downstairs you can't really go wrong with it oh i hate the lighting should i cheat to make it sunny i'm gonna cheat to make it sunny i can't deal with the clouds i need to build a house i can't have clouds yeah god the lighting on this lie is terrible okay see i'm not really sure what i want to do with this just yet i guess it's gonna take a lot of like winging it right to figure out what we want it'll be cute it'll be nice this is not the vibe that i was going for initially i don't know if you can tell but this looks like a random suburban house i think the roofs will need to be lower maybe i guess it'll also help once we've got the color scheme all on it right like like it won't look as odd once it's all painted properly yeah now that i think about this we actually have to be very careful about money i mean we'll make it work no matter what but we are not as wealthy as i would like to be to do this house if i had it my way i would have significantly more money to build this with that looks nice right oh i have literally no idea what to do with the back though like we figured out the whole front the back is a whole different story what if there was like a giant patio at the back maybe we dragged this all the way over so it lines up yeah i think that genuinely looks pretty interesting then the other problem is that i really want a fence and the fences are extremely expensive like ridiculously expensive and then we get to pay for grass and it just it adds up so much but won't that be nice to have it all okay even if we can't have a pool right away we'll get a pool eventually what the house is dusty i just made it how is the second floor dusty if today is the first day that it's existed this can someone care to explain that to me i'm not so sure about this dust pack i'm gonna be honest with you it's really testing my patience okay what are our thoughts on that i worry that i may have made it a little bit too big especially since we don't have a ton of money to furnish it with what now it's magically clean okay deep breaths i went into live mode and all of a sudden the dust is gone from upstairs sure sure that's cool absolutely i get it i understand so before i had this thing going on where we had like grass in some parts and obviously we had like a little rock line separating them i guess i will continue that little rock line separating them we can add some more plants to it just because we have to separate the grass from the desert somehow and i want to have grass i need to have at least some grass i think it's it's a necessity i don't know if i can live with no grass yeah we'll just add more the little thingies in there once we get into debug that's fine we only have 28k to furnish the house it's my expensive fence i'm telling you this thing big problem we use jungle adventure flooring oh it's so beautiful i guess we don't have to furnish all the bedrooms like we need to have all the bedrooms but we don't have to have them all furnished right now no that's not gonna work i feel like there's definitely a possibility of maybe the kitchen being here some sort of dining table there oh god okay remember how we had the house bigger before i'm gonna do that again the things that i do in order to have this like overhang i just want a little overhang is that too much to ask okay look staircase boom nah this is weirder than i thought it would be i don't really know what i'm doing here um well that's three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom and then the whole point was to have it like open to the downstairs like that i think that's pretty cool it makes sense we really don't have a lot of money this is fine everything is fine okay what if two kids bedrooms upstairs parents bedroom shared bathroom downstairs there's like an office and or third kids bedroom living room kitchen dining space something else right in here i don't know that works by the time we get to the next episode of the series i'm just not gonna have a house anymore we're gonna be completely out of money also noah does not make enough money to pay the bills on this massive house wait what is what it was fine before yeah that's what i thought thank you very much i do not have the patience to deal with the glitches with the roofing today i'm not like mentally capable to deal with that kind of stuff right now am i brave enough to even have laundry i think that i might be i think that we should have laundry in this house you know what why is this fence not in the base game why don't we have a little tiny fence like this in the base game doesn't make any sense anyway i might put laundry in here okay as far as furniture goes well maybe i won't put laundry in here like today i don't know i'm not sure if we have enough money for that but like eventually maybe like once we have some more money possibly or something i'm not sure if we're in the market for that yet but eventually we will be here's a fun question am i spending too much money on this oh what if i wait this might be a mistake part of me wants to sink the kitchen a tiny bit so that my cabinets will fit what are our thoughts on that i want the giant vent hood but the cabinets don't fit that doesn't make any sense you can't even open that one it would be cool to have a giant vent hood like that though this is the nicest kitchen we've had this whole let's play i guess to be fair that this is the most expensive house we've had this whole let's play so realistically that makes sense i think to some extent you'd kind of expect this house to be the nicest one so shouldn't be a surprise you know what this has potential that's nice it's colorful it's pretty probably too expensive but that's okay and again this is one of those things that we can definitely add to that we don't have to finish the whole house properly completely today we can like go on and come back and upgrade things over time you know for a single guy he really is gonna have a nice house you gotta admit considering he lives here by himself there are no windows on the side of the house i didn't even think about that okay we'll get one in the bathroom just one just one little window in the bathroom okay you must admit this looks pretty cool it's a fun color scheme i might quickly grab full second bathroom upstairs i guess eventually we might have to change one of these bathrooms to have a tub but we don't have a baby yet so there's not really a point i mean this guy's not even dating anybody so we're like really future proofing this right now like eventually he'll have kids and they'll need a place to sleep but right now the bedrooms can just be empty and it doesn't matter because there's no one else living here it's literally just this sim and his cat it's not exactly a full house i have a bunch of decorations too but i'm not really sure like i guess maybe the cat tree could go there oh we can have the litter box in this bathroom yeah that makes sense we used to have this photo on the wall in our living room it kind of works in this room but i'm not sure if it's like too much maybe the hallway could have it oh wait actually this above the stairs is pretty nice you can tell that i layered two rugs together i like the idea of the rugs being layered together i think it's kind of fun but i don't know if in practice it's that good great in theory not so great when you actually put it in the room that i can admit i don't ever use like the the whole set of layered rugs i wonder i don't know if i like how that looks i'm sorry i can't do it i'm sorry yeah i really didn't like that that did not appeal to me yeah i think we need some more big windows this room has a lot of potential it's just kind of bland right now no that looks nice right and maybe there could be like a little chess table perhaps right here a bookshelf i don't know we're running out of money i really underestimated how expensive these windows would end up being because before in the old house we had the cheapest windows in the game and then cut to this house we're using some of the most expensive windows in the game so in doing that obviously we lost a lot of money still looks nice though still pretty though oh this was our parents old guitar yeah they're dead now so this is nice we should keep that somewhere or we could sell it for money it depends how we're feeling i have a couple kids paintings that i wanted to keep for a future child's room maybe we could stick the cat tree in the office on purpose i want to organize some sort of gallery wall i think of photos of my sims yeah i've even got photos of turtle oh i've got so many pictures i'm really glad that i took so many photos okay for now it's not many photos of my sim it's mostly photos of his parents and his grandparents but i think that's a nice gallery wall it's a good collection of photos it makes the space feel more homey i'm so excited about this okay i think that's nice i have a lot of photos so we kind of can put photos like literally everywhere if we want to but you don't understand i have a lot of photos in his inventory too like ones that we haven't even hung up yet oh i do have a photo of chelsea and her husband oh good that makes me feel better because i felt kind of bad that i had photos of like literally everyone else in the house except her okay i think that's a nice way to have the living room laid out i think that's kind of fun maybe i'll get a little scratching post for the cat too the cat's got a tree already but you can have more presents if you want buddy i don't mind oh i should get food for the cat as well almost forgot that would be useful if we had some cat food yeah now that i think about it can't really go wrong there yeah i'm thinking maybe like some more photos on a gallery wall on this wall i have some photos of his grandparents on their wedding day so we can put those up okay i think that looks nice this took me way too long to figure out how to arrange those photos i'm kind of embarrassed by it to be honest i think eventually we'll start replacing photos with photos of him and his family but obviously he doesn't have one yet so we've just got photos of his parents everywhere i put the bare minimum furniture in there i think i'll just furnish the bedroom now and then we can decorate with the rest of the money i think we need to be careful because if we want to pay for wallpaper on the outside which i haven't done yet we should not spend that much more money basically i need to calm down with my spending because we do not have enough money for this okay yikes i don't have enough money to finish this okay so the house itself is is furnished obviously i could use some more but i think i'm gonna quickly do the outside like paint it and stuff and then we can come and add more if necessary although maybe not if necessary maybe just if possible i'm gonna paint the house this light brick color and i'd really like to have some columns i think it would look so nice with some columns on all these little corner pieces it's just the columns are so expensive wait i don't have to use limited packs this is my legacy challenge build i can do whatever i want so i can get cheaper columns oh okay we're fine i'm so used to trying to like limit the packs i'm using in a build that i like kind of forgot that i can use whatever columns i want listen i'm sorry but this house is for me not you i'll put it on the gallery but my main priority is that it works for my sims and my let's play see that's really nice should we like have no foundation i don't really maybe like a one high foundation you know what i kind of like it now we figure out some debug landscaping which should be interesting because we really have a lot more room to landscape more and make this look a little bit more lush i feel like than before because before we had that like really minimal sort of plan with our house but this time we can really add a lot more i feel like then i need to put in some of these little cactus pieces too before we only had a different color cactus but i'm trying to like i don't know branch out a little bit so we're mixing in another color well that's fine that looks okay i'm not so sure about this front yard we'll have to figure this out i'm realizing that i really need to lower my expectations this is not gonna look as good as i'd like it to nothing can be done about that it's just a money thing we don't have that much money okay wait this might be our savior no yeah i think that looks good and again we can always like add more later on once we have some more money just might take us a while because noah's not making that much right now we just quit our job as a ghost hunter was possibly a mistake we'll see how that goes yeah i think that's nice okay got a little table outside i'm not paying for a grill i don't have the money for a grill i think the front yard is nice i feel like maybe our our last investments here can be in the office i think this is the only piece of art in the entire house everything else is just photos like family photos everywhere it's okay it's worth it okay that's a very simple office space but i can't really do much else i'm gonna try and add a couple more things to the bedroom while i can oh i want it to be colorful and pretty like that so bad what bed maybe i could get like the seasons bed it's actually kind of nice and it's cheaper i don't know why i'm finding picking a lamp so difficult i don't know what it is about the lamps but i for some reason just cannot pick one i don't like the bed when it's brown maybe i make it blue instead hmm it's a weird it's a weird room yeah i'll admit that i i can acknowledge that eventually we'll have more stuff we're just not there yet we just can't afford more yet yeah that's quite sad see i wish i had more money to decorate the kitchen like i there's so many things that i'd like to add on to but we just can't afford to add on to right now anyway i guess that's done if you want to watch this let's play i think you'll really enjoy it obviously you'll see the house more in action in the let's play and we'll keep adding on to it there quick overview we've obviously got the whole exterior we've got a few rooms a nice fancy dining room big living room beautiful kitchen office space downstairs and a bathroom upstairs there's three bedrooms and another bathroom eventually these will be bedrooms they're just not yet because we don't have any money and they have a really pretty backyard maybe i'll get a pool eventually i don't know honestly i think you will really enjoy this let's play if you don't watch it you probably
