I created Mario Kart in real life

i want to do that well now you can recently mario kart live was released and being that's made by nintendo it doesn't really work anyways i wanted to create a hellish nightmare of a track in my living room but all i had was a pink couch so naturally i decided to go to target make some of the worst purchases in my financial career after walking around a bit i realized that this is the shopping cart of a serial killer or a very generous person kind of funny how that line is i didn't really go into this with a budget in mind since i just wanted to grab whatever was going to add a little bit of spice to my mario kart track and i learned that is the worst way to justify a purchase ever i was performing mental gymnastics struggling to find a way to rationalize this purchase and then when i got to the register it dawned on me so what is all the sports uh charity oh that's it that's how i justify reckless purchase like this i open all of these toys made for stupid kids and then when i'm done i donate them to a children's hospital or something like that you know for the kids despite this video's existence my accountant still isn't fully convinced that this is a tax write-off so at least it's going to a good cause right however joe was currently out of town so i had about 48 hours to turn my living room into the ultimate mario kart track for him to come home to this project felt doable and then it was finished within an hour yep this is what my house looks like watching mario zoom around in my living room was fun and all but nothing compares to the visuals of the high octane gameplay on your switch next to mario yeah if nintendo is looking for course ideas in mario kart 9 well look no further buddy welcome to the tax-free trials the course starts off with a sleep paralysis demon of a minion staring at you which is always a good omen in life then you say hello to the tails dolls right before you enter prehistoric park real gamers who have already pressed subscribe are definitely aware of the speedrun strat known as dino skip it only saves like a second or so but every frame counts in a race like this next stop is sports club and yeah i just kind of dropped balls in huh you can see at this point that i am running out of ideas and just threw down whatever we had left including the 70 barbie plane and this is the run killer of all run killers a speed runner would be shaking in their overpriced gamer chair if they knew the horror that is barbie plane and then you just drive by my vinyls find a very very cool sign and then you complete the course the most unpredictable part of this run is definitely the cat rng so all you can really do is pray for a good seed because the cats do not care about your run at all so i tried to get world record on the course and succeeded by the way but it was no simple task well it was in the sense that i'm the only possible competitor but it was difficult in regards to the fact that it just doesn't work well sometimes you're hit with a lag spike inside your own home the one place you thought you were safe sometimes mario gets stuck notably on barbie plane and sometimes cat eventually i hit a solid and respectable 132 so it was up to joe to conquer this seemingly perfect record during my half hour drive to reach the airport i realized that i was giddy beyond belief like a first grader whose mom just let him decorate the living room for mario kart wait a second i ruined my living room and i couldn't be more proud the size of this mess might be something a parent on a normal day would ground you over but i'm a grown ass man who gets to make his own poor financial decisions thank you very much cool i am going past 1g so what well like you know you know how numbers work like i'm yeah i'm getting there i didn't mean to add the alphabet i know how you get then we spotted joe at the airport and captured him before he even realized what was happening at this moment joe told me about how tired he was and how all he wants to do is sleep but there was no avoiding the surprise of walking inside the house and seeing the massive mess i have made god damn it mario part yeah it's mario kart mario kart yeah i think joe is holding on to some guilt for something he might have done to me without me knowing because he willingly accepted to test out the track with minimal effort on my part maybe it's just because he's a good friend maybe he realized that this is creation formed out of depression and boredom and he feels bad for me either way we'll consider this a win i just see it like slowly going past me in the corner of my eye okay there's dino skip right there you can go under the legs that's crazy right it's just going slightly faster now [Music] watch out for barbie oh yeah see bobby playing that's a run kill so that's why he has his barbie box in it okay their perspective is so weird um a fun alternative is to just walk behind it just babysit it yeah this is so much better i'm not even kidding [ __ ] [Music] you me what i'm gonna get as close as a skateboard as possible okay every time barbie plane is oh no is it is it is mario stuff no mario mario your camera's stuck on barbie playing can you go backwards i can't go backwards boy oh my god i keep trying to drift with like the b button like it's actual mario kart you see frasier where's this fragrance he's in the camera wait i want to go back to my treasure oh no i wanted to find frasier do you go back to town yeah i'm glad cowboy mario is finally in a mario kart game he just doesn't know what to think he's seeing a legend wait can i clip out of bounds wait oh oh he's free-roading now and since joe has now seen the track made out of poor financial decisions i just had one more question for him how much do you think we spent on all of this like a hundred bucks yeah no you're right god damn it he finished the course a single time and decided that was one too many attempts before going to bed so naturally i woke him up the next morning and asked if he wanted to be luigi which let's be honest is definitely up there on the list of things you want to hear while in bed luigi right off the bat i keep trying to like follow the uh computers uh-huh and then they'll just drive through something i'll just hit the wall a little bit because i don't realize that like i don't realize they're driving through actual objects oh yeah you got to play a little smarter than that because they just know more than us somehow yeah still i'll watch out for freaking out here crazy that's too much skill to look out that was brutal dude the mirror always scares me yeah i got oh you joe you bumped me into the wall it's a [ __ ] sometimes oh wait oh i just actually stopped inside wait joe here i'll help you out i'll help you out hold on no no i got you i got you brother [Music] see there we go what are friends for thank you i love how much it breaks your immersion of seeing my animated little mario and your stiff stiff luigi right here yeah wait wait wait can he do it can you do it first place oh my god marty park sucks did i make this course just satisfy my own ego perhaps but i think you're forgetting that this was all for charity it was planned ever since the beginning as you know donating to charity absolves you of all your flaws and any misdoings on your rap sheet donation charity may seem nice which is the perfect way to justify stupid purchases and get money back on your uh for the kids for the kids and in the name of the kids i had to take the course down [Music] all we had to do now was to find a charity for these toys and that sounds easy enough right hi uh do you accept donations like toys and stuff it's like you know what it sounds like when you're asking to donate that so like you just lean into it more on accident and it's a terrifying habit to have cool be with you in just a moment well that was easy please leave a message for hi um i would like to donate toys to kids is that possible what's a good way to say that i have recently come in contact with tons of toys for people i'll be honest i recently made a huge purchase a 700 worth of children's toys for a stupid joke in a video it took us about two weeks to find a charity who would receive unopened toys due to this little thing called a global pandemic the process was a little weird because we had to quarantine with the toys and then we had to mail them to a children's hospital and then they would sanitize the toys before they quarantine the toys again and i think there's just something funny to me about forcing toys to quarantine i think it's kind of cute it feels like toy story the movie is about to happen in the hospital and they just got to keep an eye on the toys and make sure no funny business happens and as i was packing the boxes it honestly felt like packing away memories these toys started out as a dumbass financial decision from yours truly but they might go on to change a kid's life and with the boxes packed it was time to ship them off why are we doing this i think it would fit in my car is the thing do you want to take your car instead well we're already here i might have left my keys in your house you did huh let me reach into my pocket real quick five minutes later thank you for filling this by the way i got it i got it it's nice to know that i could be helping kids and changing their lives but above all else i'm very happy to document myself donating to charity so everyone else knows i'm a good person and as you know good people donate to charity and sometimes good people get contacted by the irs for tax fraud you
