welcome to Murphy's diesel we've got a recovery and you're not going to want to miss this one it's a church bus and it is in one hell of a spot folks stand by because it's probably going to get Western they should never have had this church bus down this road I have no idea why they even had it down the road so let's find out it's going to be a heck of a recovery folks it's like 3 mil down the beaten path uh they blew a couple tires high rod fell off we've got the M wrap loaded up and we're hitting the road so stand by just kidding we're taking Hellboy all right folks so we got to drive through town here and then we'll unload on the other side of this mountain that's Mount Elden folks fun fact for you and there's actually a road that goes all the way up to the top done a lot of recoveries up there snow recoveries there's some Towers up there we got to the into the road for the slide axle we're going to slide the axles forward get this slide slide axle turned around and then we're going toload Hellboy and go from here we'll bring the tour bus back here and uh load it on the trailer so stand by see now that I got these axles sled forward and see how we're in a tight space with all these trees on both sides I want to put this trailer over here now I can just pull forward swing her in there no problem cuz now I got a short wheelbase trailer actually I'm getting stuck I ain't want to back up cuz I don't have enough weight on my drives now so we'll just go down here and turn around look at there's a there's actually a spot right here in front of me might have to slide my axles back [Music] my lockers aren't working [Music] I don't have enough weight on my drives not to slide my axles back see H if hway was up on the trailer where it's supposed to be towards the front instead of towards the [Music] back see by by sliding my axles back on the trailer put more weight on my drives so I can get more traction pretty slick setup if you ask me so now we'll kick Hellboy off right here and we'll go down the road it's about 2 miles down the road grab that RV Bring It Back Drag it up on the trailer and we'll be out of here just checking my line locks work pretty good [Music] well folks we made it to Hayden one of my heavy operators he oper operates a 20ton wrecker he was originally sent to this call and called me and said hey there's no way we're getting it with this this truck I won't take my truck down this road so I said all right this road was rough enough to blow out two tires so and broke a break a tire rod on a tour bus I don't know what a tour bus is doing down here it's a short tour bus tour van bus whatever so we're going to have to go down here and throw it on the sling he said hey boss I ain't taking my truck down this road I don't care what dispatch says so then he sent me some pictures and said well it's pretty jacked up road I wouldn't take it down there so you know can't be not the guy for not wanting to tear up my equipment dang this road is a piece of crap why would they have a tour bus down this road every off-road truck you've ever ridden in you ever ridden in a long travel like offro my buddi cuz this has coilovers and long travel airbags on the back so all right go so you're telling me this is the smoothest off-road truck you've ever ridden in it's the most heavily built one too straight from the horse's mouth folks he said this is the smoothest off-road truck he's ever ridden in this truck is smooth I'm telling you this road is huge piece of crap and we're just rolling down it look at that Boulder look at this guy folks what is he thinking or she guy's standing in a damage waiver for sure Hi how are you good how are you not to bad could be better could be worse yeah could be worse I was telling him at least I have good weather yeah you know it is a beautiful day it is a great day did you do all that damage on this road yep all right well hopefully we can get you out of here without damaging it any further all right so I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to come around and then go down there and scope it out there's like a flat spot down there maybe we could turn around and then come out forward instead of backing all the way out oh yeah what wrong with it the ti rod in on that side snap back tire on this side why you just bring that record down here and get it I didn't want to tear your truck up we may need to take that off is it heavy generator is we'll unhook that and then once we get it hooked up what we'll do is we'll just probably set it on the back of the wreer or maybe just set it right here and then once we get this up there then I'll come back grab this and take it up there okay does that work that's fine okay cool sounds like a plan stand by folks [Music] [Applause] all right folks so yeah this will be perfect we'll bring her down here I can turn around and then get her turned around and then we don't have to back up for a mile through rough Terrain and uproot rocks and everything it's a nice spot for a house sh a great spot [Applause] [Music] all right so this is the first time I'm I'm using this sling since we got Hellboy This Tall looks like I'm going to have to drop my airbags down get under it so stand by for a little deflation all right so what we want is want that sling to go right under the bumper right there and centered got it so guide me back and I wanted to slide right up underneath here about right here okay and the bumper resting right here got it [Applause] [Music] yeah all right we got our sling under there folks now we're going to CH chain her up here let me back up I need to Center that anyway go so hop out of there good what do you need I'm just threading it in right now all right unless your tell all right now I want to hook this right here I'm GNA let some slack off and then hook this right here okay and then same on the other side got it okay what we need is we need it in neutral now she is ready to roll f folks we just need to check the back make sure we are make sure we're not going to drag on anything got a bad tire here Me Go Boulder may need to take this off so we don't drag it off where L will drag that battary off you going to be able handle that side on your own all right we'll have to come back for that we don't want it draging on the back so I'm my EAS down and I want you guys walking on either side okay watching so I don't tear anything up dragging over rocks okay gotta good this sucker's got a whole bus on the back of it folks hey Hayden uh hop in there I need you to help me hit Tippy right there [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so I built Pete over the last 6 months with my dad um he's a 1995 Chevy P30 and we built it from scratch so uh just took off like 3 weeks ago and of course this is how we're beginning our journey which is okay um I named him Pete because my mom used to say for the love of Pete all the time when I would do something silly or stupid and so if she were still here she would say h For the Love of Pete going to go live in a bus and that's why he has his name but uh it's been really cool it's a lot of fun there's still a lot of work to be done and now even more with that door but uh it's been a really good journey so far for the love of Pete that bus was in there yeah I got stickers too oh Pete the bus Pete the bus folks meet Pete the bus folks Pete the bus meet the folks go [Music] [Music] [Music] all right they're on made it back no problem we got Pete the van on the the trailer it's going to the yard getting a couple new tires a new tire
