I mean if this is some kind of forgery this is like this would be the best forgery on the planet you're not talking about $100,000 artwork you're talking about potentially a million dollar congratulation we have a deal at £700,000 you won't regret it this could be the largest guitar buy of my career a customer with a piece of Rock and Roll History walks into the shop and wants to sell it a piece of Rock and Roll history for you here this is a 1941 Gibson sj200 everyone one who was around in the 60s knows Steven Stills guitar player played for Buffalo Springfield literally an icon if he's not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame I'd be shocked Rick asked for paperwork to proceed with the conversation and you have like documentation this was Steven Stills I do have the bill of sale so you have the bill of sale on you or uh it's in the case here uh criteria recording studios bill of sale this is to verify the sale of a Gibson J 200 guitar in 1940 you know what it adds a little bit to it it does I AG it looks like someone did refinish this at one point it just looks like there's been some work done to it almost seems too good to be true so what do you want for it I'm looking to get 110,000 for it so I'm going to call in my um my buddy Jesse the offer made by the seller force is Rick to call in an expert for an opinion it's the 1941 sj200 it was their highest in Guitar they introduced this model in 1938 you can see it's had a couple little crack repairs and stuff so it's kind of part for the course for the guitar this old whoever did it did a really good job I just want to hear what it sounds like man you it's not every day you get to play one of these so what are you worried about on this one what's it worth I mean the guitar on its own is probably worth anywhere between 75 and 90 grand just by itself without the Steven Stills thing what does Steven Stills add to it Steven Stills could add another 20 30,000 Rick tries to negotiate the price to make a deal I mean what's your best price on it give me 110 we'll make it a deal 110 is not going to happen I give you 80 grand I can do 9 0 I don't think I can do 80 that's that's that's my line man I'll give you 85 I've got to have 90 change your mind call me 85 minutes all right all right cool man let's um let's do some paperwork a Gibson Les Paul SG custom that belonged to Mary Ford arrives at the shop okay does belong to my aunt Mary Les Paul SG Aunt Mary just a guitar fan or no Les Paul's one this is a 1961 Gibson SG Les Paul Custom these things are rare can I call somebody up take a look at this thing the expert arrives to check its authenticity this could be the largest guitar buy of my career can't even believe I'm holding this in my hands Mary Ford's Les Paul this is absolutely crazy so tell me what we got it's a pretty well documented instrument this guitar is on record covers looks like pickup covers have been taken off the bridge is original you can see it's had a input jack repair I mean if this is some kind of forgery this is like this would be the best forgery on the planet it's easily a six-figure guitar you're saying 100,000 probably 150 Rick tries to negotiate on the price but finds it difficult big thing is how much you want for it now well I was thinking a quar million would do it you know a few years ago maybe I mean there's not as many buyers in the market I mean if you want a check today I'll give you 75 grand it's not going to happen I'm going to have to find the right customer the right auction if you want to pay 90 you can have it all right $90,000 all right right it up I'm even getting chills holding it talk about being speechless I got to stick with $100,000 this could go for $2 million is at auction now these are crazy pricey but putting these things in the shop will bring people in my shop Rick goes to LA to see the largest complete collection of wily Wonka told me you had some uh Willy Wonka stuff some props from the original film why are you a fan voila wow this is the original hat that Jean Wilder wore in the original film looking pretty stylish the seller shows Rick a few items this is the golden egg and a golden ticket a genuine screen used golden ticket Wonka Bars those were they used on the set yeah and they still haven't melted crops made of wood yeah we bought it at auction and uh the one big thing is that you want to make sure obviously it's authentic the crazy thing is that each one of these pieces these props came from Julie Don Cole played veroa salt so and what is that what would you want it to be that's the real deal is it the Everlasting Gob stopper yeah I'm even getting chills holding it talk about being speechless Rick asks for an offer how much you want for the CB stopper I'm going to give you one price and that's that I I got to stick with $100,000 but let's face it it's the Everlasting Gob stoer it is literally in my mind the greatest movie prop ever I'll tell you what I would give you one Wonka bar and I'd give you the Everlasting Gob stopper for 115,000 but you can do it for 100,000 no all right so $105,000 and I get a Wonka bar I'm going to miss that Everlasting go stopper you got a deal I'm 7 years old again they're in amazing condition they have all the provenance in the world they're 100% legit and these collectors pay insane money Rick travels to New York to make one of his biggest deals yet so I'm here in New York to take a look at one of the most historical documents on the planet an original Declaration of Independence broadside and I'm about to take a look at one right now um definitely a wow moment this is an extremely rare July 1776 printing of the Declaration of Independence really cool about this one you can actually see the pin holes here in the corners which indicates that it was displayed publicly they were never ever meant to be save an offer is made by the seller so how much you looking for this uh it's an exceptional condition at 2 million everything looks right on it but I just want a document expert to look at it so Rick decides to bring in an expert normally would have to take this out of the frame to authenticated but I've actually seen this exact copy before compare this to all of the known copies there are the nail holes from uh back then which are not very consistent round nails like we have today they're all handmade and different Rick wants a short answer if it's legit all right so so it's 100% legit absolutely all right brass tax what is it worth I think this could go for $2 million at auction now I would love to give you like $1.4 million I mean it's a fair point you make about the fees I mean you know I know how it works I would sell it to you for 1.5 mil I'll meet you in the middle 1.45 I think that's fair I I think we can both be happy with that I think we got a deal um oh my goodness I own the decoration I said thanks again B yeah no it's been a pleasure we see Rick in London to buy some Banky art Banky is the most famous graffiti artist in the world and he recently had an origal piece go for $122 million so here's a piece whoo that's an original Bank seed so it's monkey debt Mater yes made in 2002 that one is too absolutely this one is an original screen print he came up with his own particular style so when you see a bank se you say that's Banky and it's literally the most popular art in the world now The Collector shows Rick the certificate of authentication this one is edition of 175 and it comes with a certificate of authenticity it comes with a bill that was cut in half with a number and Banky Pest Control will keep the other half to make sure it's a original do you have the SE for this one yes the owner conserved the original how much well my client won £750,000 the rat the owner asked for £5,000 um I knew was coming here I arranged for local expert that was recommended to me Rick decides to get an opinion from an expert so what do you think about it it's an important work by him and it's obviously an early work by him I I mean Banks's rats are his signature but I think this is one of the special ones for me are they legit I need to check the cicat so I can tell from the certificate and by certain security features that this is a legitimate Banky if I make a deal you can get them all checked out we can just broker the entire thing through the shop be a pleasure all right the big question what are they worth I would see this piece the monkey Detonator on a good day in auction 900,000 maybe more pounds pounds what does this go for recent auction results we've seen this print achieve £6,000 all right very nice to meet you thank you Rick proceeds with negotiations on the price wanting to make a deal £500,000 total that's $600,000 for this price we are a bit far especially that the market is PR high right now I'll give you £600,000 that's £ 720,000 American unfortunately it's too far still do you think he'll take 650 that's 780,000 American I'm going to try to reach him right now and get back to you congratulation we have a deal at £700,000 I offered 650 my client is a very tough businessman and believe me the market will continue to grow you won't regret it my family will think I'm nuts but okay we got a deal and hopefully Cory and Chum don't commit me when I get back to Vegas customer walks in with a hefty load of silver the old man is crazy about silver he's going to be like a kid on Christmas morning when he sees this if they want less than face value well we see what we can work out got these bars and this thing alone's almost 75 lb most people don't realize until 1964 all us dimes quarters half dollars silver dollar were all made out of silver Rick wants to make sure they are all silver coins all right I just got to make sure you know it's all silver coin it's really important for me to scan all the edges on these to make sure there's no modern coins in here uh do you mind if Pi go away just to make sure the weigh the right amount no problem so you have 3,372 o of silver in the late 1990s silver was down to $3 an ounce this one's going to be difficult to buy you know why when you're talking this much money there's too much temptation to put a bar of steel or something in the center so you saying this might not be pure silver what I'm saying is there might be a chunk inside that's not pure silver can we test it thing um yeah drill a few holes in it give me a few minutes if everything checks out I'll pay you doesn't check out I'll give you an address where you can send it the process of testing these items is not difficult but interesting first off you have to drill deep enough to make sure there's not a Lead Core or some other metal in the middle of the bar then you melt out all the filing until they liquefy and you create a small button the last step is dropping some nitric acid on it and seeing what color it turns when nitric acid reacts with pure silver it turns a creamy white okay here's the deal yeah it's all right it's fine the coins 33,000 390 for these bars right here 42 equals Rick does the calculations and offers a price $110,900 well let's make a deal that is the deal you can't go like 115 no on $110,900 one I'm probably going to make ,500 bucks off you so what's your best price you give me today I'll go 111,000 even I'll go up 112 no no no there's no money to be made for it yeah I mean that's what I can do I can do um 111,000 well I bought it 12 years ago for way less than that sounds good to me all right it's deal 111 today I'm walking out with over $100,000 a suit worn by the United States's first president is presented in front of Rick so is this George Washington's too it is he's pretty fit guy no he was 6'2 but he wasn't a really large man if I could go back and have a cup of coffee with just about anybody in history probably be this guy to me he's one of the most amazing men in history he really is so where'd you get it it was passed down from family member to family member Rick seems to like it do we know the date on this thing I think it's from the 1750s or' 60s Washington was always very aware of how he presented himself on a piece like this what it's dependent on is provenance they're missing pieces that sort of thing so you enticed me with a sword that's start for sale and this thing right here does it have a price on it how do you think Rick reacts to the price well it's one of my highlights of my collection but everything has a price so how much uh I wouldn't sell for less than $3 million that's a lot of money I don't think I ever say this but I'm actually considering this I'm going to go think and contemplate about this for a little bit I'll talk to you soon okay thanks Rick Rick returns to the hotel to discuss the price I'm ready to sit down and have a serious conversation with him $100,000 for the Paul rer spoons and $3 million for George Washington suit the suit you ask for $3 million but what's the best you can do 1.5 no I I appreciate your offer but it's really a major part of my collection how about $2 million the best price absolute best price would be 2 and A2 milon okay and you're firm at that absolutely firm okay well I guess the suit's out then I didn't get the suit but you know what it didn't fit me anyway a seller entered the shop carrying Jimmy Hendrick's 1963 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar 1963 Americade Fender Stratocaster very very special this guitar was actually played by Jimmy Hendrick can you mind if I pick it up no absolutely Rick picks up the guitar and asks questions related to he actually held this guitar that you now have in your hands is there any pictures of him playing it on stage or anything or and where did you get this it was actually owned by a guy named skip Jared skip was the chief engineer at jugy Sound Studio and after they wrapped up all the production on band of gypsies and all that they gave this guitar to skip my business associates and I acquired the guitar how much would the seller be willing to take for it how much do you want for the guitar I think this I'd be willing to take say 750,000 for it I have a friend who if this thing is real he will know you mind if I take a look at it no man by all means that's why you're here aome an expert comes in to authenticate the instrument there's a couple things you'd want to look at the triolo bar these are usually bent and angled up he play the guitar upside down he flattened a lot of these out made him straight you're playing the guitar like this my wedding ring hits the guitar left-handed the serial number here L1 14985 this guitar has actually been documented no doubt this is definitely one of Jimmy's guitars the expert wants to confirm one last thing cannot believe this so what do you think it's worth anywhere from 750 to good auction million all right thanks man all right man at a personal level I absolutely love it but you have to find the right auction the only thing left is the deal will Rick make the purchase let me give you 450,000 450 man I I my my thing is I take all the risk you walk away with cash yeah I'm thinking 750 man a lot of commissions and a lot of people got to get paid to sell this thingu I give you half a million this guitar is worth more than that it it it just is if you want the money now I can go 550 750 really man that's a that's a bottom dollar I can all right well have a nice day tell me if it goes to auction I might been on six I can't do it man but I'll call you if I change my mind he fired one last bullet across the boat there with honestly I was starting to kind of get a little bit more temp you want to come to a fair point in selling something of Great Value don't be desperate about it a customer walks in with a charcoal drawing and Rick is suspicious about it this is a charcoal whole uh drawing by Edward Hopper okay you're looking kind of suspicious someone walks into my store and says they have an Edward Hopper um it's more or less the equ I'm saying well I got myself a Renoir how much were you looking to get at of it well I had it appraised in New York at $100,000 Rick gets an offer and decides to bring in an expert for help to the right time frame it looks like definitely looks like his style but it's not signed uh that's correct he doesn't you know overemphasize color it's all about Shadow and form and it looks correct you know if everything you say about this piece is true you're not talking about $100,000 about potentially a million dollar artwork but without the signature and without any more to go on I wouldn't feel comfortable saying it's worth a million dollars I think it looks pretty good it's a gamble I'm not going to make an offer if I can't I have to resell it and when I resell it it's my reputation on the line you know I appreciate you're taking the time to take a look at I hate to see it leave my shop one of the most important documents in Rock and Roll History comes into the shop I actually got one of the most important documents in Rock and Roll History the contract between Brien who was the manager and the beeto creating the partnership between the two of them you have the original Beatles Contra and the agreement basically State what Brian ep's cut would be higher contract wasn't going to be valid until Brian Epstein actually got them a record deal that is correct without wasting any more time Rick asks for its price okay how much do you want for it a million dollar that's a lot of money I'm going to call my guy you know I can IM imagine someone spending a ridiculous amount of money to make a brand new one of these if this thing checks out I will do what I have to do to get it I've heard about this piece before it's been well documented the expert comes in to check the contract in terms of their signatures I mean there's still the most sought after it's not uncommon to have them together but on a contract that's a pretty rare piece in itself I'm just looking for live ink I'm looking for overlapping yeah it starts to get darker you can see one pen stroke go over the other and these are definitely live signatures on here so that's a good thing you have some really early signatures of The Beatles is I've tried to pull out some super early stuff that I have on file the Harrison signature is just you know very early signature for him John lennin wouldn't sign John W Lennon but I'm still seeing a lot of the same similarities here especially in the double ends here those are real there's no question that this is genuine the value is recommended by the expert and Rick tries to negotiate what's it worth I'd put the value of this piece right at around $500,000 you still stuck at a million um I really got to get a million I don't see talking about history here I mean you're not going to like my price I mean I pay like 350 for it you know I have to look at it I think I can probably get a half million dollars you know what that's that's an incredible offer but I'm really going to have to stick to a million dollars I would go 350 that's cash right now um I'm going to have to decline on the 350 good luck with it I'm disappointed I couldn't make a deal but I really had to find the right buyer today just wasn't it a man walks into the shop with a bar of gold in his hands oh I got a gold bar I want you to look at hey Pop come look at this where in the world did you get this Grandma passed away a few months ago we cleaned things out and uh we found this thing it's a big chunk of gold you got approximately $24,000 worth a gold here the weird thing about it is the markings on it right here what the XX means I have no idea sometimes they cast this in a mold it's called investment feels like it's actually like Coral or something I mean it looks like shipwreck stuff to tell you the truth they inspect it trying to figure something out but decide to call in an expert for help this thing might not be worth its weight and gold it might be worth way more um I would like someone to take a look at it this could be off of ship well what are your concern rck what the XX means I have no idea well what you've got here are the finest markings it's marked as 20 karat I could see with my own two eyes that that's more gold than 20 karat the expert takes a close look at it and provides further details modern testing would bring this in at probably 22 or better okay so you think it's off a ship well what you have is definitely Coral in crustation this thing was underwater for a long time this is definitely shipwreck treasure how much do you think it's worth M time 2 is what you're talking about so now that we know what do you want to do I still want to sell it and how much would you like for it 44 uh no because if I put this in an auction they're going to charge me 20% I go like $32,000 on it give me more than that it's worth 48 maybe $335,000 and I don't even want to pay you that cash money all right $ 35,000 let's go do some paperwork thank you for watching and as always like And subscribe for more content
