[Music] welcome back to to get everything guys you asked for it you asked me to cook a steak for a week I'm gonna do it because you asked let's find out what happens there's no doubt about that steak is one of the best things in the world and we not really cook it conventionally for minutes however sous view sometimes can take hours but after so many requests for cooking a steak for a week to see what happens I decided to make it happen for you guys [Music] this is a 2-inch thick New York Strip it is a choice grade and an amazing steak to enjoy since I have two of them I'm gonna be treating them exactly the same I'm seasoning both of them with salt pepper and garlic powder the biggest difference is that one is gonna be cooked for a hundred and sixty eight hours and the other one is gonna be cook only for two I really want to find out what happens when you cook a steak for that long and I love your creativity on the comment section because if you guys in common this will never happen after vacuum-sealing yet my steaks was ready to be cooked I'm also doing my world-famous sous-vide mashed potatoes but today with a little twist this is truffle butter and it is amazing the only difference in this recipe is that I'm going to be using this butter instead of regular butter and we're gonna see how different it is remember exact amount and ingredients always in the description down below after adding the potatoes I threw in some cream cheese little bit of heavy cream and a big chunk of that truffle butter season it well with salt vacuum packet and it's ready to be cooked I set my water bath to 180 degrees Fahrenheit and cooked it for two hours once I was done all you got to do is remove that and mesh it directly into the bag you have two options to mesh it fine or leave nice chunks once you are done throw it back in the water bath so that it stays warm and just remove it when it's time to eat but now let's get back to our steaks I am cooking one of them at a hundred and twenty two degrees Fahrenheit for one hundred and sixty eight hours the second one I'm cooking at a hundred and thirty five degrees Fahrenheit for only two hours and we're gonna find out which one is best I got my beautiful steaks ready one was cooked for a week the other one only for two hours we're gonna find out which one is best can't believe you guys asked me to make this we're gonna find out let's see [Music] it smells like a roast it does not smell like a regular steak but I'm curious to find out how it will taste but today I'm gonna be p.m. searing it with some nice garlic and butter and also some rosemary should be incredible I'm gonna be using the Hostin cue and I know this isn't that good right now watch this [Music] all right we have our beautiful stick here are you can see there's not a lot of difference between them they are exactly the same now honestly these are the exact same steak from the same exact town are you ready to try them yeah because I sliced them open I got it from the same look anyway we want to know how it tastes bro you ready I guess let me tell you right now it's not my idea this is their ideas that's their ideas not mine both of you the that this one is falling apart is it too tender it's perfect you know for whom Taliban is the Lich's this beefy is really tender the only thing I don't like about it it's like it's a little watery inside they don't water inside is their flavor its flavor stealing they're really nice flavor really on that godly got in there really well ready yeah okay well my turn it's not dry I thought it would be dry no bro not right no bro okay well my turn cheers everybody singers licking this freaking delicious bro awesome know it but I'll say this it is not a steak it's like a roast it's not a steak yeah like a long cook or something like that yeah falling apart short rib or reminds me of something else definitely not a steak I see you stealin the garlic and angular with the garlic bro look at this it's I can scrape yeah you can grape it off this is probably the most flavorful roast I ever had it's not a steak my mom what are you talking about it's not a steak the flavor of the steak it's not as pronounced as like regular steaks but if this is a roast this is awesome and then the crust also will be the garlic and the butter how am I supposed to be a steak supposed to be a steak yeah this one is different and perfect medium-rare in the middle oh boy what happen engine that way this that's the one which was better no I'll tell you this I like the boat I like both laugh but you like the second one better obviously I like the boat my turn everybody that god is ridiculous with the rosemary pan searing it's amazing everybody mm-hmm vampires I know we have a few umpires in the channel don't try this room what a nice crust on this one too this is fantastic much better this is a steak this is a roast you're good but I love ya when I you find out what it is and how much I paid for it you probably slapped me in the face that's a steak and when you think that the flavor is good the butter comes in and takes the power you can taste that butter takes it to a whole other level better between the two of them steak me no comparison awesome roast steak you ready to find out what it is I don't care both are delicious all right so here's the deal let's say you pay the exact same price for both steaks these are steaks these are New York strip steak but this one here like they requested I cooked it for a whole week Wow neither one entire week cooking sous vide and then this one here obviously it was just two hours I like the boat bro I know it was a good experiment it's great I wonder if we can just leave it there forever and you'll be forever should we do a month Coop's uvas take a month bro oh my god will you melt William Mel what will happen because you have this texture I mean if you do a month I don't think you're gonna be able to cut it with a knife they were just probably disintegrate you're gonna push with the knife in he's just gonna to be honest I'm gonna be honest I thought he was just gonna write completely disintegrate when we did with a thinner steak the texture changed a lot only a week and he look like it's gonna go wrong a little bit so let me know if you guys want to see one month Oh make it happen what happened I don't know that's possible listen I know a food freak so we can't steal electricity from the neighbors oh okay listen all right ninja this is a very special mashed potato I want to know how you like it you tell me very special man very special a special it's quite special let me tell you what I like there's some black stuff in there you see that black stuff Oh melody oh I would see it what is it truffle tell me how you like it try with the steak this is good stuff bro you can you can smell that truffles in there okay it's truffle body bro has a nice taster truffle butter everybody mashed potato wow that is nice that is a nice subtle taste of that truffle butter Wow ha don't burn your mouth my mouth and the mental tutor is lumpy the way I like you well I got huge loved mom I got brain you got Bernie I usually don't like truffle but this one whatever you did do it again truffle butter my mouth talk about it have the aftertaste of the nice alright everybody the truffled mashed potato turned out good I don't recommend cooking for a week do you worth it I hate to see my mom for the steak you better off just buying chuck roast no I can eat that one that they are by the next week if you guys want to see a and all the fibers might stay there really yeah I think I'll even be able to hear it I don't even know if I'll be able to see it because you'll probably just watch it would be like eating and
