I BUILD your SILLY REDSTONE IDEAS! #16

it's that time once again i've asked you to send me your silliest stupidest daftest redstone ideas via twitter and you have responded in your thousands we've got plenty of really interesting responses this time around so it was really tricky to pick out 10 but i've just about managed it and now we're going to take a look at them in this video and this first one comes from rip sticker pro who has asked me to make a vending machine so here is the vending machine as you can see it actually looks pretty good and if we take a look inside you can see that there's three different things to sell we've got emerald blocks we've got gold blocks and we also have lapis blocks and we have to pay a diamond for them so if we just chuck our diamond on the inside here and then hit one of the buttons i think i want a gold block you can see that it works exactly like a regular vending machine it pushes the item out but it gets really really close to falling down and allowing you to collect it but then it gets stuck on the edge i've had far too many experiences with vending machines like this i'm still really hungry for that mars bar that i bought about six years ago anyway moving on from my little sob story there oscar has asked me to build green mc petting his cat now i would have done this anyway okay but this felt extra specially fitting because as you guys know i filmed a mini documentary with green just the other day on his cats and it's actually going to be releasing tomorrow on the filming channel and also on green's channel as well so look forward to that one and i have to say it looks a little bit better than this oh i tried my best okay i tried my best but if you ever tried building a cat in minecraft especially on a relatively small scale like this it's almost impossible is almost impossible i mean look at these ears i tried to capture the kind of leopard-ness of green's cat and i don't think it's really worked but the actual petting mechanism is working okay the only thing that i have noticed is is that oh dear green is actually pushing the hair of his cat upwards the whole point hang on let me let me try and fix this okay oh no i'm breaking everything right that's a little bit more like it now green is actually stroking the cat as opposed to spiking up all of his back hair because i know from personal experience that cats don't really like it when you do that next up we've got a suggestion from dark zekrom9898 who has asked me to make a toaster that burns your logo into the bread now i think i've just about pulled that off as you can see this is a new type of toaster that only works from the bottom but if we hit this button right here you can see that well it kicks into action and that looks pretty cool but as you can see as the fire begins to disappear yep it's doing a pretty good job and actually burning the logo into our bread oh here we go the fire's just clearing off okay the eyes are pretty much done mustache mustache has still got a little way to go but now that it's almost all clear you have to admit that does look pretty good doesn't it and we're just waiting on the final few bits and [Music] come on there we go all cleared completely naturally with no help from someone else that could be my new channel that could be my new channel logo goodnight this is perfect meme big boy has asked me to make a door which doesn't open i have to say i always get suggestions like this during these videos and i mean every single time i seem to get them wrong last time i was asked to make a redstone contraption that doesn't work and unfortunately it did work this time oh for goodness sake for goodness sake i've done it again i've made a door that opens every single time how do i mess this up every single time it's honestly i i need help i'm sorry but i have no idea how to say your name three black dots golden diamond and then the black dot again then three then then tweet oh i think it's meant to be a bird oh that makes sense anyway they've asked me to make a contraption that climbs up walls and they've also been incredibly polite so how could i not so i have to say this is probably one of my favorite things i've ever built i i there's something incredibly adorable about it first off the way that it's actually kind of gripping itself up like you can see that that it kind of pulls itself up with its front feet and i don't know it's kind of a strange like hunched over body it's funny little face i thought i'd give it a little face i mean i'd [Laughter] i don't know what animal this is meant to be i have absolutely no idea i have no clue what this is meant to resemble in any way shape or form but it was also it was a really interesting redstone project to work on because as you can see the way that these work it actually is quite interesting so what we do is we pull the leg back and then this redstone block kind of bug powers this piston so that pushes those blocks up and then as that happens this then pushes back across and then as that happens this observer then powers this piston which pulls our piston back up so then we can get this leg motion happening here so the leg pulls back goes across and then gets pushed back across like that it's cool it's a really cool redstone contraption and it looks fantastic conor has asked me to make a cannon that shoots villagers into a bathtub now i've thought that a real minecraft world one with actual blocks in it would be better for this thing so i've set up my cannon on top of this cliff right here and then down at the bottom we've got ourselves a bathtub now i'm just gonna say have you ever tried building a bathtub before in minecraft it's a it's a genuinely really difficult thing to build i mean i think i've done an okay job but it still looks kind of industrial i was going for like one of those claw bath type things you know the claw foot ones the foot bars i don't know what they're called but it's kind of worked out but also kind of not that being said though my cannon my cannon definitely looks like a cannon if we hit this button right here you can see the villager gets fired at the end and it lands in the bathtub i mean i'd say that i've i've satisfied connor's suggestion pretty perfectly there and it's also quite satisfying to watch one thing that i've noticed with a lot of the suggestions for this video is that a lot of them are bee related for example this one from sinha's wife asking me to build a working beehive and i feel like that's something to do with the fact that i've been tweeting a lot about the beehive which is forming opposite my studio at this point in time there was a massive swarm of bees the other day they seem to have found a good spot for a nest they've started making a nest and that means that i can't really leave the studio before dark because they're very angry and they're swarming quite a bit which yeah is is quite scary anyway these bees seem a lot more peaceful i don't think i'm going to be harmed by these because well they are essentially just bits of glowstone in the piston feed tape but yeah it looks i mean it looks alright we've got the beehive in the center we've got the bees swarming around the outside i'll be the first to admit that i mean it's just so difficult to build a beehive in minecraft you know i took on this project i went through a few different designs in my head i settled on this one and i do think this is the best i could have possibly made it but how would you even go about making that sort of thing arien singh has asked me to make a bunch of things but the one that we're going to be taking on is number one which is to make a rigged gambling machine that you always lose now this is what i've created it's one of those spinny ones i don't actually know the name of it because i don't gamble very often but if we hit this button right here you can see that it all kicks into action and all of the blocks start cycling around now if we just wait a little while some of them will begin to stop so the one on the left is stopped so i mean we've already lost that one over there has stopped and that one in the middle has stopped all of them are white which means that yeah we have we have totally lost this one in fact we couldn't have lost any more the whole point is is that we're trying to line up all three of the gold blocks so let's do this again let's see if we can get lucky here okay so the middle one stopped that's a good start this one stopped that's good but then the one on the right has stopped on white now that's that's interesting because actually if you take a look at the redstone circuitry underneath you can see that well two of them look very similar the one on the right looks a little bit different now these ones are truly random so when we hit this button right here nobody knows how long those piston feed tapes are going to be cycling around they could be cycling around for 10 minutes eventually they'll stop and it'll be a random block that they stop on that's the same for these two but then this one on the right this has got a set number of cycles that it does it's 12 which is an even number which means that no matter what happens it's always going to end on white so you could never win the game yeah don't come to my casinos kevin dolphin has asked me to make something incredibly simple an english weather simulator so that's what i've done here it is i mean if we just turn it off and then turn it back on you can see that yeah all it does is that it it forces it to rain all of the time which is actually you know it's funny that i'm saying that because right now it's actually beautifully sunny outside we're getting some really really nice weather but generally speaking this is what it's like vanished has asked me to make a poop emoji which is shooting out poop blocks now every single time i do one of these videos i always get asked to build something to do with the poop emoji and i don't think i've ever done it so to make up for that i went pretty large yeah this is this is an anatomically correct poop emoji with shading and everything and as you can see down at the bottom it is shooting out its poop blocks which begs the question do poops poop and on that rather uninteresting and i guess you could say silly no i think it's time to
