I Beat Terraria Ranged Class Without any Guns or Bows (Master Mode)

you know how master mode terraria is pretty hard right i decided why not make it even harder this is what dying feels like so what i did was i played master mode terraria but i limited myself to doing the ranger class only but i can't use any guns or bows you may be asking why did i do this to myself that's a simple question because i hate myself the rules of this challenge make this challenge even worse i can only use anything that does range damage and is not classified as a gun or bow on the wiki and doesn't shoot arrows or bullets so for some reason that means the star cannon is included flamethrower is included because these guns are considered well guns so i mean there's not much else to say let's get into it all i can say is this was very hard so i start my world and obviously throw away my copper short sword i find a surface chest with a wooden boomerang in it which will obviously help us immensely on this ranger only challenge i explore deeper and i find eight grenades great start this was a big challenge of this challenge the nades the consumables all of them shurikens they're so hard to come by especially when you want them you know you start a world you get an abundance of them normally but when you want them they don't spawn much i'll be straight pre-hard mode it's only consumables literally that's it there's nothing else i can use i also want to clarify i didn't use the paintball gun actually because it has gun in the name so i i didn't use it anything with gun or bow in the name also or or repeater i did not use i then did something i'll grow very accustomed to staring at a death screen and i went more down into caves i really don't have to explain this stuff there's just mining wars with no armor so you know not not too much fun my first gold chest i get a magic mirror so grenades are really helpful on this i use a lot of nades i can't use bombs or dynamite to hurt enemies because they don't have any damage input so they're not actually range they're not anything but grenades are categorized as range because they were once throwing i found a glowing mushroom biome and after some immaculate parkour skills i died to a bat that came out of nowhere but now i have one shuriken to my name so basically i have to do this absolutely ridiculous game of building and dodging these enemies to get back to my money i then grab the money and get the hell out of there because i have no weapons to use i built a house because i am going to need the merchant and the demolitionist to get anywhere in this playthrough the merchant moves in and i buy 350 shurikens trying not to go completely broke and i continue down into the mines i go back to the glowing mushroom biome and i find a lucky horseshoe and a gravitational potion which are pretty good now i have some decent armor i have tungsten helmet and leggings and an iron breastplate i won't take as much damage but it is master mode so does it really matter so i basically just do a lot of really careful mining i come out with a lot of platinum and i make myself a platinum chest plate i make some more houses and buy 99 grenades because they do crazy damage early game like this this is our saving grace right now shurikens do no knockback so they're kind of cringe i feel an evil presence watching me so i set up a little arena not thinking i can beat it but i'm gonna give it a shot i use a feather for potion and turns out i i actually didn't know this for some reason if you hold up with the feather fort potion you go even higher like you fly high so i was definitely using that and yeah the the eye was too much for me i i couldn't i could not take it i then went to the corrupt to smash some shadow orbs not because i wanted a musket obviously i can't use that but i was trying to get the goblin army to spawn because they give a harpoon gun which is allowed and spikey balls which are allowed and then an evil presence watches me again but this time i'm determined to beat it i now know how good the feather fall potion is so i abuse it a little bit i put a platform just high enough so that when i use it i can then launch myself again if i need to after some absolutely expert movement and insane plays i got stuck in a doorway and couldn't get a nurse heal and died so yeah i i know i have cthulhu is possible but right now it's it's a little hard now this is a very important moment i find a pinky in the caves this is huge because this struck something into my mind a weapon that i can use with pink gel you can make molotov cocktails you need ale pink gel silk and torches but they do splash damage and set enemies on fire they're not as good as they used to be obviously they were completely busted so i make about 100 molotov cocktails but that's the main issue i'm limited to the amount of molotov cocktails i can have and use because i need pinkies to spawn to make them and pinkies are very rare but i found some hermes boots in a spider cave which is pretty pog i then found the hairstylist which is definitely the most important npc you can find so i definitely untied her she's very important for this playthrough she'll come back up then i found some fledgling wings i'll take that then some harpies ripped my face from my body but good news a goblin army is approaching the problem though is is this was pain i have a limited amount of consumables and i'm getting bombarded by these enemies that i have to kill and i'm not doing too much damage too so my best bet here is the grenades that i have they do a lot of damage shurikens basically do nothing and molotov cocktails i'm trying to reserve for like boss fights they did drop spikey balls which i could use against them and i did get a harpoon gun or i shouldn't say harpoon gun because that that would be a gun it's just called a harpoon which is our first out of two weapons in this whole playthrough that doesn't consume ammo now it's not very good it does very little damage and if you mess with it it sucks because you have to wait for the whole thing to reach the point where it comes back to the harpoon so if you miss it sucks it sucks so yeah hashtag buff the harpoon gun in the comments please all right now i think i can absolutely beat the eye of cthulhu there's no shot i lose i buff up i have platinum armor i have molotov cocktails there's no way i lose against him this time a good start is a fallen star hits him directly knocks off about a fifth of his health and yeah with the grenades and the molotov cocktail it is much easier still utilizing the effectiveness of the featherfall yeah i basically did this on full health and now i look gamer cool with my aviators and right when i'm not really looking for the goblin tinkerer anymore i basically gave up he's sitting right next to my elevator i reforge my harpoon i buy rocket boots and a tinker's bench and make spector boots all right so now i am ready to fight the eater of worlds also something i didn't mention is my pick of corruption is very important and you'll see that later so the molotov cocktails did a lot here if they hit right they made a lot of the segments of the eater of worlds set on fire which ends up doing a lot of damage to it i also used the spiky balls because they peer straight through and grenades for the splash damage and yeah it looks like this would be an easy fight super easy textbook until it kind of wasn't all of a sudden i went from basically full health to half health and then quarter health so this point i was freaking out just throwing stuff i did not want to lose to this to this boss right now so yeah i just kind of spammed my molotovs the spikey balls in a little bit of a panic but we are victorious to the eater of worlds that is two bosses down so now i remember some throwing x throwing weapons that you can get from the underground desert biome from getting desert fossil and extractinating it into sturdy fossil but i walk into the desert and i notice this uh rather suspicious looking pile of sand kind of looks a little bit like a a triangle a temple if you will so i dig down and there it is but yeah i got a sandstorm in a bottle so i head into the underground desert and i'm not looking forward to it it's kind of a absolute what's the word ball it's so much fun it's it that's all i can say really i love the underground does it i find some desert fossil but it's it's not really easy to find and this place is really dangerous so after a bit i die lose 10 gold i did find a magic conch which teleports me straight to one of the two oceans and i went back down to get my money and then recalled out of there because i'm not messing with those things anymore i just want my money and i want to go just leave me alone so with the sturdy fossil that i did get i made some bone javelins and some bone throwing knives now apparently the king slime wants to challenge me this pathetic little slime ball thinks that he can conquer me no no no no no i absolutely demolish the king slime not even close and that is the third boss defeated so my next challenge is queen b i want to fight queen b to get the b nades so that i can beat skeletron easier obviously being aids are very good and a pretty important asset to this challenge so i summon the queen bee by absolutely murdering its children and yeah it looks like it's going pretty well i've got it down to a quarter health and i'm i'm not looking too good but surely i can beat it right yeah no so basically i just used a ton of consumables just to lose against a boss but damn i'm determined to beat this boss so i go back down i make a larger arena which i probably should have done in the first place and with the abemination this time we do a rematch baby using quite a bit of my consumables my bone throwing knives my bone javelins my grenades my spiky balls anything i can to take this damn bee down finally actually almost full health i beat it and what did we get out of that 58 b nades so it's taken me six hours to get to this point where i have 58 bean aids and now is a harder challenge than the queen bee skeletron but before that i decided to fight the queen bee again in an attempt to get more bean nades hot damn was this one close i used a ridiculous amount of consumables i even used a few bean aids i was panicking panicking she was incredibly low on health but so was i and somehow i managed to pull the dub and now because i'm very impatient at almost 12 a.m in game i decided to fight skeletron this one is not easy it's uh it's master mode i have to hit and kill both his hands before i can do like much of any damage to his head sorry i utilized a lot of my grenades some molotovs here and there and i died but now i know what not to do so that's a dub and my absolute favorite thing of the game is when tell me if you agree with this is when an event occurs a second time when you've already defeated them before because they just can't take a hint and now's the rematch skeletron versus me again i used the bean aids i was determined to win this so i i used i used a lot of bean aids and finally both the hands are down so now it's just skeletron's fat skull which shouldn't be too hard right well here's the homing skulls which do not make it easy let's say that but yeah i just spammed my bean aids i didn't really want to use them all because i did want to keep some for the wall of flesh but you know what what has to be done has to be done so i used all my bean aids and a lot of nades and quite a few molotov cocktails to defeat skeletron and now we are four boss five bosses down now part of the reason why i was so willing to use all my consumables in this fight was because i knew that this boss drops the bone glove which i can use to throw bones at enemies yeah so in 1.4 they uh completely reworked this item i did not know about this one bit why did no one tell me this now it's an accessory it throws bones out while you are attacking with another weapon but you know what i'll equip it more damage is more damage and would you believe it if i told you a third goblin army arrives from the west listen here you little scumbags leave me alone leave me and my family alone i don't want anything to do with you this google kind of speaks numbers to what i was feeling so after some exploring of the dungeon i find a cobalt shield and a shadow key that's about all i'll freaking need because what else could i use in the dungeon but while i was in the dungeon i made sure to get 150 bones so that i could craft a full set of necro armor as that is the ranged set and i am using ranged weapons just not guns and bows you already know that because i've already explained the rules so as per usual i can't be bothered making a whole platform for the wall of flesh so you know i uh i settle on water walking potions really who has the time for that i got children to feed i went back to the dungeon because i actually did forget an alchemy station which you know so now is the wall of flesh set up i make a pond lake if you will in the corruption this will obviously allow me to craft wrath potions but there's also a use for it later and you will see that i craft some ebon koi and i catch some wrath potions now i'm basically ready i just have to find a guide voodoo doll i spend some time in the underground and finally i find one and something happens that i've been waiting for this whole playthrough it finally finally happens right before i'm about to fight the wall of flesh a blood moon happens so yeah there were three goblin invasions but not one blood moon when it's a blood moon the merchant sells throwing knives and the dryad sells vial powder with these two things you can craft poisoned knives so i can inflict poison to enemies and obviously throwing knives you know it's it's it's better than shurikens four stacks of 999 maybe a little overkill but i didn't i didn't want to not have enough now i have grenades i have molotovs i have poison knives surely this won't go too bad now the world flesh has a lot of health and i have to kill it before it's the end of the world these weapons aren't amazing the poison knife is my main weapon and it takes off some health it's not doing nothing like most of my first wall of flesh fights go in like master mode i get stuck on like two blocks and that basic that that loses me the fight rematch time but this time around i went and fought the queen b and got some b nays i need something to kill the hungries easily molotov cocktail usually does that but i just want to be nades as a backup and obviously they also hurt the wall of flesh a good amount i basically just throw stuff whatever i feel like drawing poison knives to inflict poison molotov to inflict fire and be nades to do a lot of damage i uh i died again that was completely avoidable i ca i know i can beat this fight so i fight again this time i don't have too many benades left i am running out of consumables here i did actually go and get some more bone javelins just to do more tick damage against the wall which was not easy because the hungry was so prominent that i could not get bone javelins past the hungry at the end i am just absolutely lobbing everything i i throw all my bean aids it gets pretty low there's about a sixth health left now i'm just lobbying molotov cocktails i'm getting a bit stuck somehow surviving don't get stuck i'm thinking don't don't get stuck in these obsidian houses not right now so i'm lobbing these molotov cocktails i'm going all in i'm using all of my molotov cocktails here if i lose here then it's over and i get a little stuck in the obsidian house but it's dead it doesn't matter it's dead it's over and that my friends is pretty hard mode so now we're in hard mode this is where it gets easier but also harder there are difficulties to this part of the game but there are also things that will make this easier so the first thing i do before anything else is i head straight to the corruption now this is where my plan sets in literally the only hard mode weapon i can use pre-planned terror i studied this there's nothing else i can use except obviously the pre-hard mode weapons like all the throwables which i do not want to use against hard mode enemies and bosses is the toxic carp this is the corruption equivalent of the fishing weapons you can get in early hard mode the others are the crimson fishing weapon which is the blade tongue a sword and the crystal serpent which is the hallowed equivalent the magic one now this weapon and flicks poisoned and a great thing about it is it doesn't use any ammo it's not consumable it's just a weapon that i can spam for 24 hours straight if i if my heart wished on that but the main issue here is i have to fish for it rng was not on my side here i'm not even kidding here i spent 40 minutes fishing for this fish 40 minutes fishing who wants to do that at least i got a lot of ebon koi out of it i started having doubts on whether it was even possible to fish up maybe i didn't have enough fishing power but finally with the sonar potion thank goodness the line didn't break i got the toxic cup felt surreal to get it and yeah it's pretty good as you can see so now with the strongest hard mode weapon in the game i was ready to take on the whole world since i'm right here i decided why not smash some demon altars for the hard mode ores now this summoned a lot of race which were just you know target practice for my toxic cup um the toxic cup behaves kind of weirdly and it's the first time i've ever used it i think it shoots the bubbles outwards and then they rise upwards which uh you know it was fun to use it's different than any of the weapons i usually use but i'll have to beat all three hard mode bosses and plantera with the toxic cup it's a little little bit of a challenge so i went to sleep because i needed a good rest for the day that was to come i then woke up and spent the next nine and a half hours playing terraria here is what happened in my day i went and did the epic hard mode or grind you know how it is we out here with the grind set gotta get that mithril gotta get that titanium baby except i didn't even have titanium i had adamantite everyone loves that but titanium was nerfed anyway so i'm not too caught up about it all the homies love hallowed armor these days finally i get enough adamantite ore to make a full set of adamanti armor so now what else do i have to do except fight the mechanical bosses i went down into the underground corruption and i farmed some souls of night and then did the same thing with the underground hallowed with souls of light so i craft a mechanical worm and a mechanical eye and a mechanical skull so i i'm ready i'm ready to fight all three of these bosses i also found a gelatinous crystal in the hallowed i thought to take on the twins i thought that'd be the easiest to fight with the toxic cup and have the easiest ai to hit and the least amount of health so really i just kited upwards downwards left and right used my slime mount accordingly and made sure to arc my bubbles so that they would hit the eyes i targeted spasmodism first i wanted him to get the hell out of my sight and i got myself out of his sight soon after because i when i got him into second phase get it he lost his uh he lost his uh his pupil and his his vision oh brother this guy stinks so eventually i defeated spasmatism on his own without getting retinizer to the second phase now retinizer is actually the harder one here the lasers are quite hard to to dodge i used to think spazz was harder but you just got to keep your distance from spazz retinizer not easy i did have to kind of go in between the lasers also keep my distance at the same time but not too long after i defeated retinizer and that is the twins down one of four bosses until i can get launchers down i put on the hello graves as they're just better than at a man tight and then i was like you know i'll fight the queen slime if i can beat the twins i can beat the queen slime it's meant to be fought before any of the mech bosses i was wrong i got absolutely served so with not much else to do i went and started fishing i gotta burn some time until night time i go fishing for prismites for life force potions and i get a freaking i get a crystal serpent like a couple minutes into fishing in the hallowed i get i get a crystal serpent if only i was that lucky with the toxic car they have the same fish rate that night i decide i'm fighting the destroyer this is actually one i was very worried about because i mean i don't know about you but toxic bubbles on a giant death metal worm it doesn't sound too effective and my suspicions were somewhat correct because this boss has a lot of freaking health it took so long to beat this and i died in the end but i got it pretty low now i did something that will help i uh i killed myself that's the whole sentence no i kill myself multiple times to get a bunch of gravestones so that i can make a graveyard biome and get the mist for the dryad and then i can buy crimson seeds i did this trick in my all achievements play through it proved to be pretty helpful in my master because it was master mode i was able to get rage potions which give me 10 increased critical strike chance and this will allow me to get a brain of confusion along with the worm scarf brain of confusion was buffed in 1.4 a lot of you would know this and it's pretty damn good unless you dodged like relatively often the main problem is i'm gonna need to get 15 vertebrae which is a one in three drop rate after some grinding and i mean grinding this took me about 30 minutes i finally have enough vertebrae to craft the bloody spine and fight the brain of cthulu somewhere along the way i got a second mechanical skull so i fought skeleton prime i thought if i have two mechanical skulls i can afford to lose against skeleton prime i just wanted to see if it was easier than the destroyer now obviously skeletron prime has five limbs but i targeted the head as the main priority just to get him dead and yeah the toxic cup was kind of hard to hit especially how fast he moves and the way skeleton prime moves spastically for like a better word yeah so i defeated skeleton prime in much quicker time than i did with the destroyer or when i came close to defeating the destroyer so that's huge because now i can craft hallowed armor so now i have hallowed armor dodge and brain of confusion dodge for the destroyer fight all right rematch time it is time to fight the destroyer and i am determined and hopeful that i can actually beat it this time now it's a long fight the destroyer is extremely tanky has annoying probability of the kill but at least the probes drop hearts for me and yeah i just need to make sure i'm not getting hit by the destroyer's head while also being close enough to hit him with the bubbles finally at almost 2 a.m in game i beat the destroyer and the jungle grows restless so i'm thinking if if that was hard how hard is planetary gonna be like i have to beat post mechanical bosses with a weapon i just the same weapon i just used that you can get straight away in hard mode against a post mechanical boss boss now is the time to go down into the jungle collect some clarify or collect life free if i find it unlike total armor which you can get pre-planned terra through my armor you can only get post plantera so i had a decision to make do i want to make clarify armor or stick with hallowed armor hallowed armor gives the dodge so i thought it was quite obvious i'm going to stick with halodharma i also did some pre-prep and made a surface glowing mushroom biome and made a house for the truffle i then went around looking for life fruit this took a long time eventually i was full health i found a moth but apparently moths only 50 of the time dropped butterfly dust but believe it or not believe it or not a second moth spawned and i did get the butterfly dust this time it's quite nice to have pretty good wings considerably better than the leaf wings i spent a good amount of time carving out an arena for plantera in the jungle so i'm ready i'm ready to fight plantera i throw a bomb so that i can have a bit of a head start on plant terra i throw the bomb so that it destroys planters bulb i have a bit of a head start apparently if you blow it up she doesn't spawn who no one told me this and that means that the planters bulb right next to my arena is now gone but there was one not too far away i just had to lead plantera to my arena which obviously is no problem and she despawned she despawned because she was too far away from me this what is going on i've now lost two planters bob that it the closest to my arena and i now have to go throughout the jungle to find another one that's probably not even close to my arena i find one underneath the lizard temple and i have to slowly and steadily lead it to the arena which i successfully do finally now i'm ready to fight this damn boss let's hope i don't lose against it so the idea is use a toxic cop obviously and just run circles around plantera so that you can't hit me i've done this many times before plantera is kinda textbook but with a weapon that doesn't do an insane amount of damage it's not gonna be too easy but definitely possible so in the first phase i do not take much damage it's not very hard the main issue the main scary factor here is the second phase that is when her little vines come out with lots of segments and i just need to make sure i am not touching those things i keep flying circles around plantera trying to dodge these plants that are trying to eat my face off constantly shooting the toxic cup at plantera and it's a good thing that this weapon is an absolute trash because i finally finally defeat planned terror and the hardest part of this challenge is now done or is it now with planetary defeated i can now get launchers now launches there are only a few of them and i usually don't use launchers when i'm a ranger i i basically stay away from them the grenade launcher drops from plantera but i did not get it proximity mine launcher sells from the cyborg who moves in after planetarius defeated i did get that because it's obviously it's a weapon i'm gonna use it how it works is you can lay mines on the ground using rockets and if an enemy walks over that mine it does six times damage than it normally would but you can just shoot at enemies it's gonna do six times less the damage i make through my armor with obviously the rocket helmet i also could have got the piranha gun which is found in the jungle chest if i found a jungle key but i didn't but i headed over to the dungeon as there are a few things i want here i want the tabby the black belt and i want the rocket launcher fighting the post plane terra enemies in the uh in the dungeon is not easy with only a toxic car and a proximity launcher it's not the easiest task ever i find the wizard and i leave him bound because i'd rather him die than him take up a space in my houses so it's not really my problem it's kind of it's kind of like the uh the trolley problem you guys know the trolley problem it's kind of like the trolley problem like if i unbound the wizard and he died it would be blood on my hands so if i just leave him bound it's not my problem i just walk past him it's not my problem it's fine it's fine i found a black belt which allowed me to get the master ninja gear that's another dodge that we can use really helpful finally a skeleton commando drops the rocket launcher the one annoying thing about the rocket launcher it does good damage but if you hit yourself with a rocket if you're even in the aoe you're taking a lot of damage but now i have a weapon that is better than a fish that shoots poison bubbles now i am ready to fight the golem i summoned the golem and i just launched some freaking rockets at him and keep pummeling it with rockets until it dies and that's that's golem for you not too hard i fought it again to get the pixar and some other stuff and then took the altar home and i fought it again i was trying to get the stinger because that is a launcher the golem drops the stinger but after defeating it a third time it did not drop the stinger but i did get red's armor and wings and yo-yo so now i can impersonate the creator of the game i then fought the golem again and died to him because i'm absolute trash but now what i wanted to do was fight the pumpkin moon and the frost moon the pumpkin moon drops the jack-o-lantern launcher and the frost moon the snowman cannon which will be our ultimate weapon the best launcher we can get that night i fought the pumpkin moon the rocket launcher actually was pretty good against these guys the enemies on the ground just died to my splash damage the morning wood wasn't too hard and the pumpkin i just had to keep my distance pumpkin i don't find to be that hard of a mini boss just keep your distance and i launched some rockets right at his face until he died and the first one dropped the dark harvest i don't want that but the second one dropped the jaco launcher i'll take those odds and now i can buy explosive jack-o-lanterns from the arms dealer i got a stake launcher but the stake launcher is considered a repeater even though it has launcher in the name but whatever i'm glad i checked because i almost used the weapon now it's time to fight the empress of light yeah um i decided to fight the empress of light obviously it's not gonna drop any launchers or anything good that i can use but it does drop the expert mode accessory soaring insignia which gives infinite flight it's it's pog it's pog af bro but i died to the empress and i thought it's gonna be very difficult to beat it with uh the weapons i had so my choice was either ampersalite or frost moon i decided on empress light again i thought i could beat her and i died so after that i was like stop it i'll do the frost moon maybe i'll have better odds here than the empress i struggled against santa and k1 a bit the ever streams aren't too bad but obviously i don't care about them they don't drop anything i want santa drops a chain gun i'm not using a disgusting gun that shoots bullets yuck i want the rocket launcher the snowman cannon that is dropped from the ice queen elsa herself and i got absolutely smoked from the ice queen and then that was the frost moon so i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place do i fight the frost moon on master mode or do i fight empress of light on master mode this is the century question long i decided to do frost moon again i didn't do it right at dusk last time i did it a bit through the night so i thought if i have more time i'll be able to get the snowman cannon i'll just need rng to be on my side eventually i got to wave 11 which spawns the ice queen and i was she's not easy to beat trust me she debuffs shoots a ton of projectiles flies away from me it wasn't looking great has so much health and i had to beat her with a jack-o-lantern launcher and a rocket launcher now the jack-o-lantern launcher does a lot more damage than the rocket launcher but also has a curve on it and the rocket launcher doesn't i beat the first ice queen and it dropped nothing it dropped nothing apparently mini bosses just have a chance not to drop anything i got incredibly close to beating the ice queen and then she killed me i then got close to defeating another ice queen and she killed me and that's the end of the frost moon so let's go again boys run it back tactical nuking all the enemies that came in my direction eventually i was able to get into wave 11 again i feel like a broken record and the ice queens started spawning almost dying a magic mirror home and nurse get back into the fight with the ice queen almost dead i kill her and she drops the snowman cannon first try baby let's go now i have the best weapon at my disposal the snowman cannon is a homing rocket launcher that does not do damage to the user if they are in the explosion radius it's freaking sick i get it unreal and now i'm ready to fight the world but there's one more launcher i can get that i kind of want to get and check out i haven't used it much who knows if it's good maybe it's better than the snowman launcher but before that i fight the empress of light again i want the soaring insignia and the snowman cannon will give me this dub and in a not even close fight i do defeat the empress of light with the homing rocket launchers gg eazy but i fought her again trying to get the empress wings but i died so i try again i beat her and i get the night glow and some prismatic dye so after my unsuccess i decided to make a hoverboard with shrew mate bars instead as that can hover obviously it's in the name which means horizontal movement will be good soaring insignia can hover forever guess what another invasion boys this time it's not the goblins it's the pirates i exploited them to smithereens with my new snowman cannon and my jack-o-lantern launcher so now i went into the space layer in the outer third of the map in an attempt to summon the martian madness event for the electro sphere launcher this event was fine with my rocket launchers it wasn't really a struggle or anything except for like the sources the sources are actually pretty hard to beat i almost died on my first martian saucer but i did manage to barely defeat it it dropped a xeno popper which obviously i can't use it shoots bullets and then i died to a death laser to the second ufo clearly because it cheated and the next ufo i defeated i got the electro sphere launcher and a cosmic skateboard it gives me an alien on a skateboard so that's pretty poggers and yeah we got all the launches that we want for this playthrough now we're ready to finish the game i went over to the dungeon murdered the cultists and summoned the lunatic cultist i mainly just used the snowman cannon for this fight as i could keep my distance and head home in on him and i used the electrosphere launcher where he has multiple lunatics now i have to hit the specific one i'm not sure if the snowman cannon would hone in on the right one or the wrong one i didn't really want to try it out maybe it wouldn't home in at all but yeah this fight was pretty easy lunatic all this is never too hard that means there's only one boss left so i started with the stardust pillar because it really doesn't matter what i start with and i just basically farm star cells let them regenerate then i use the electrosphere launcher mainly to destroy the pillar and that start us down i then went over to the solar pillar this one was a lot of fun i know there are ways i should do the solar pillar like i should build up really high and make a bridge and then a wall but i'm just too lazy for that all in all this pillar took me about 20 minutes to defeat i also bought some cluster rockets to see if they'd do better they are extremely expensive but i don't really have much else to spend my money on right now it's still decent against the pillars but they don't do as much damage they just cluster next up is the vortex pillar this one was pretty easy i don't think i even died i just kind of flew around with my cluster rockets and just kind of rained hell on them and last but not quite least is a nebula pillar took me about 10 minutes to defeat the nebula pillar and yeah that means all the pillars are down and now impending doom approaches to prepare i made super healing potions and awaited for the moonlord to spawn this fight's pretty textbook i mean all i have to do is shoot my snowman cannon run from him hard as the submarine cannon is homing but first attempt did not go so well i did die very quick into the fight the first death laser basically killed me so yeah that went well but it was just this is practice it was just practice i made a celestial sigil since i have nothing else to spend my fragments on and i tried again things weren't looking great i did do absolutely terribly last time but i i i just determined to do better this time and even if i do it bad this time i have another shot the top eye opens death laser shoots at me i spin around it dodging all the projectiles and doing damage to the top eye that is basically what i do whenever top i open i go for it i did get hit by the death laser pretty low at some point i got down to two hearts and i died so yeah not looking great i did get further that time a lot further but still not even near enough to beat the boss but it's fine third time's a charm boys we will do it this time surely we'll do it this time and i won't have to fight the pillars again that'd be ridiculous imagine imagine if that had imagine if that happened oh my goodness obviously i do the same stuff whenever top eye opens i'd pummel it with rockets the problem was that the snowman cannon homes in so i had to go up above the hand eye to make sure that the rockets were hitting the top eye instead of the hand eyes as far as too low that goes straight for the hand eye this fight really gives a new meaning to hand eye coordination am i right the top eye is now almost destroyed so i can pummel the hand eyes and then destroy the top eye so that the true eye of cthulhu has come out basically the same time it's looking better this time i now have the core of the moonlord open but you know as the main damage that needs to be done to the moon lord but now there's three trio five cthulhu's trying to kill me three death lasers mini death lasers projectiles everywhere i get down to two and a half hearts i am very scared now keeping my distance from the moonlord continuously moving with the hoverboard making sure that he's barely in sight but the good thing about the snowman cannon is its rocket launchers are homing so i can just shoot the rockets and they'll hit the core i don't even have to matter as long as it's in the general direction so that's what i did i kept my distance from the projectiles made sure i was going up and down to dodge them i actually took 11 damage from under projectiles i don't know why it only did 11 damage but i'm very glad it did that the moonlight is almost dead i'm on two and a half hearts it's the closest battle of the century by three hearts almost dead but i've got a heal in two seconds what will happen i have no clue i then heal for 200 i feel confident i go back in view of the moonlord and i kill him making us the victors of this challenge ranged but with no guns or bows i then wear my celestial starboard in victory and i also got a mini moonlord pen it's actually insane that i pulled this off the main difficulty was pre-hard mode and pre-planned terra once i got the rocket launchers it was fine there was no real issue and i knew it was possible but the main thing i didn't know if it was possible was the pre-golem stuff but yeah thank you for watching everyone i hope you
