I AM THE WORLD CHAMPION I Tom Daley

five or so today we are on our way to Budapest for the world championships under the car with I'm on our way to start the nurse or after the coach didn't turn up to pick us up so we're now in a car on our way to the airport we're running funny late hopefully we're going on time yeah we actually left an hour late so finger Scott will still get there in time and we'll be in Budapest you [Music] then toilet got it [Music] so now in the hotel room and it is a pretty nice room I'll give you a quick little tour when we first came in into the room what we got nice shower blue and then oh so that's really nice and now Dan is behind me so we're going to go for a little explore of the hotel in a minute but the hotel is very nice to be fair so looking forward to having that little Miss around so after having dinner and dropping our bags and stuff we decided to have a little look around what was outside the hotel and look at that view behind me it is pretty sensational and then also the whole thing that we're surrounded by it is this massive castle looking thing pretty cool I like beautiful we found a cute little hiding but we're not really hiding place tie place that we could sit and say chozo and see that in the background it's so beautiful to look back on it but I took some cool photos too so here a few it's both [Music] get ahead back the hotel another because we've got chaining really really early tomorrow and we have to see the pool the first time and yeah time to get ready for the World Championship fun good morning you you oh yeah so we're here for the first day of training at the pool and as you can see behind us that is where we are going to be competing at the World Championships which is pretty exciting it's not in focus on my face or and now it is so we're going to go and warm up and get ready to get in the pool to have a little look around so yeah it should be fun how much Aled is a really bad family get bullet oh yeah come on now we just finished our first training session here in Budapest and the poor literally nice it looks you could hold like and bright which is nice so later on I'm going to be doing some more synchro with dance get ready because that's the first competition that I'm going to be competing in and then the individual is the last two days of competition and the mixing crow is also at the very last day just before the semi-final so it should be fun now we have our first day off as Budapest we decided to do a little bit of sightseeing so we're going to make our way down to the river and do a little bit of sightseeing cruise should be fun how is it a red markedly good [Music] [Music] not theater [Music] we just go off the cruise on the river Danube the New York news good news you okay tell me a fact that you learn about Budapest this so may actually contain be enacted so my first competition is going to be tomorrow with Dan which is going to be the ten metre synchro event so I'm quite excited about it actually because we haven't competed since the World Series in Canada we've been training not as much as we'd like to because of certain injuries and things like that but I'm really excited to get out there and give it our best shot today is the day of the synchrotron dishes down so I'm just going out to go and warm our content going to get into a bit training and going into the prelim all our odds are pretty steady are required to do with a little bit of sharpening up on the entries but they were solid [Music] and getting into the optional rounds into the harder drive wasn't anything amazingly good or anything amazingly bad so we were pretty happy with how steady and consistent we went throughout the whole prelim our last side the front four-and-a-half somersaulted tuck was one of our highest scoring guys we managed to get over 19 points and then it was time for the final [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] in the final we started off with our clients it's a pretty study mmm the hospital's done with a little bit more of a sharper entry and the thing that I reversed ha a reverse three and a half word solid the syncro is great a little bit strapping on downside over three and a half with another steady one was a little bit bumpy on the entry bar back three and a half places where it all went wrong and down watched a little bit over from vertical going into the last round we knew we were out of detention two medals but we wanted to finish with a cracker back at the hotel now after a long day at the pool and there are some good things and there were some not as good things our today week not over so I'm going to keep training hard at keep working hard and hopefully good things will come to those who wait and tomorrow I have a day off so I get to spend some time in my mum at my husband's I'm pretty happy about that now that my training stone time for a little bit of a massage from g-minor here and getting ready for my competition tomorrow yay good morning it is now the morning of my prelim and semi final it's really early about 5:45 I've got they were sore throat actually which is why my voice sounds a little bit funny I got nervous last night I was like starting to think about the competition and all that kind of stuff but I'm excited to get out there and compete today but you know I'm going to get down there train warm up and get ready to compete I'm looking forward to and a little bit nervous at the same time so we have to say this on guys what do you name [Music] [Applause] the prelim event at the world championships was as steady as I could possibly get it to go I was really happy the way that all my dives went it was consistent and I managed to finish in third place qualifying for semi finals [Music] going into the semi-finals I had the Olympic Games playing in the back of my head from when I didn't make the final so all I wanted to do was make it as consistent and steady as possible and I managed to qualify in second place with nothing too great nothing too bad I'm very excited to the final ahead so they won at the individual competition is over managed to get through the final with this bad boy so we've got the final tomorrow along with mixed in code but for now it's mixed down and going to the zest and luck and their brother I be buzzing so today is the final day of competition here in Budapest we'll be detached efficiency and I've got two events a day one is with great so there we've got the mix three metre synchro and also I have to tell me to individual final right after that so it's a new busy day but it should be fun and looking forward to getting out there I'm doing the final competition of the season as you can see grace was moving very fast on this the next think event for us was something that was going to be really fun and great and I decided to do a little bit of a fun entrance into the pool and then also we just wanted to have fun throughout the competition too so you should have seen it we were singing and dancing in the shower all the way through [Music] but you managed to come away with a silver medal and now it's time for the serious that the men can redefine me all the way through this competition I had a point to prove I wanted to show everyone that I was the best in the world so I started off in Reverse three and a half that 98 points going tens on that dive I also managed to get a couple of 10 on my in with Jennifer to the twisting guys that I do is the size that I have to make sure that get exactly right if I want to be in a chance or a medal my arms and I've I managed to get some more tents so I was really happy with that guys the front four and a half I knew I had to be something special because I just seen generous then do a four and a half just perform even 105 points and I go 100 feet going into the last round I needed nine and a half and ten to secure the gold medal and become world champion I can't even tell you how nervous I was but I saw the Chinese do their dive I thought you know what you want to play that game I can play that game too so I'm now back in London after what I can only describe as one of the most insane experiences in my life to come away with two medals on the last day a silver and a gold medal and the time I can't actually believe that I am world champion sounds really weird to say but I the yes after last year's complete disappointment and how devastated I was with not making the Olympic final and how it left me in such a hole and now I'm on the other side of that now and world champion with a school that would have won the Olympics last year are just so happy with the way it's went and now I get to have a little bit of time off I go on honeymoon my husband and enjoy being married so yeah very very very happy right now with the way everything's gone so yeah I'm very happy happy happy happy Tom right now so yeah don't forget to subscribe Dover cuz I'm gonna be doing some more videos over the
