HUNT FOR THE GOLDEN CHARIZARD (214 Boxes Opened) 1997 Pokemon Toys!

[Music] [Applause] ladies and gentlemen today we have a lot of product from a series called the pokemon metal collection if i'm not mistaken these have been running from 1997 up to possibly present day making them one of the longest running pokemon products out there today i have an assortment of all different years of boxes acquired over time from different lots in japan you can see this one says collection six with this very old school artwork of pikachu we've got a butterfree box a muripan pichu box a mew and pikachu box mewtwo electabuzz arcanine you name it we've got all sorts of different ones here which we're going to be doing at complete random let's take a look at what these little fellas actually look like all right up first we have oh like a copper slow king they're very satisfying they have weight to them they're kind of like a feel like a little monopoly board piece we've got another copper one sort of look at these fellas metal collection four so each one we're just grabbing a random one from a random year a random box i'm not sure what i have uh there you go a blue growleth and if you recall i did metal mario collection a while ago which was basically the same thing except from the mario universe all right let's take a look we've got a purple one dodrio up next we have a gold one oh give the goblins a gold all right it's a goldens that looks so clean is that a sparrow it feels like the heaviest one so far now somewhere in here there may be a golden charizard that is what i'm trying to pull today we have a purple rapidash man make that happen pokemon give him some purple flames well actually shiny rapidash almost has purple flames and i think it was a lost shiny that in gen 2 rapidash did have purple flames but all the subsequent releases were changed to what we see today um up next we've got a ghastly mole [ __ ] looking like a brussels sprout so we've had hunt for the rainbow charizard today it's hunt for the golden charizard we have a fair chance i think uh the boxes that we have he's in one of the sets that we have a larger amount of boxes for but all in all we're opening up today 214 boxes and that is a really cool magikarp that look looks like a like a little stone magikarp statue maureep pichu what box what do you used to have inside we have oh it's like a cross between the brown and the gold but not quite bronze look at that just a weird shade i kind of like that color though i know what i'm doing next time i play monopoly changing out all my pieces a little metal pokemon okay that is clean as well uh hoot a very polished looking silver hutus not to be confused with the stone color magikarp golden charizard let's see nope something uh green is that persian that is that's a funny looking persian i don't know i guess that looks right his neck look a little uh markiplier-esque though a little thick around the edges up next we have oh crystal onyx look at this bad boy blue onyx pokemon can you please make crystal onyx from the anime into an official card people have made some pretty cool custom fan art cards of crystallonics hopefully one day we get a real one although unlikely all right up next green dragon air is that dratini dratini what happened to its soul it has no pupils okay hoot pikachu box in this one we have oh another silver a nice little silver murkrow just the birds so far in this color arcanine what do we have in this bad boy oh a purple squirtle the original water starter there he is again a completely different purple to to these ones across all the different years and collections it's going to be interesting to see how many um different types and hues of colors we get we've got a a thick ass slowpoke like already we've got light greens and dark greens next we have a gold we've got a gold these ones look the best oh look at the all the gold ones look like brand spanking new a golden sun kern remember sun kern so these were available and i'm assuming still are in japan through gashapons or gachapons where you put your coin in and the big plastic bowl drops out and you see what you get inside little stone poliwag clefairy what do you have the original moon pokemon you have a blue coiled up ekans screaming for his dear life next up a metal collection number nine box which has a silver blossom oh she fancy do a little turn for the camera there you go next we have a fat look at that damn that is a very light blue fat pikachu old school oh this one feels like slightly different maybe just because it's got a lot of surface flat area it feels very smooth almost waxy still very metal like another one oh some gold baby something gold those are definitely my favorite all right who is this clefairy a golden clefairy next up another box another day another box oh the evolution of stone magikarp stone gyarados these ones are cool obviously some of them need these bases to actually stand up but i think it's a really good fit with some of these next another one we have what the [ __ ] is that mew was he laying on the ground like a slug who approved this design what is that is that mew am i laps no that's definitely mew he's just just literally looks like a little slug another one we have oh another stone uh poliwhirl stone poliwhirl or is that polywrath yeah that's polly wrath polly wrath is the angry one next box we have in this one oh is that a different color blue again i don't know that's the that's the same color a blue metapod and why does some have bases but he does not he doesn't sit at all another one a gold a golden boy a weeping bell nature's flashlight never looks so good next is this charizard this is a blue goldie wait what what's wrong with its face what is that this looks like kyogre had an early abortion next another one a gold a nine tails nine tails nine tails oh that's a big girthy one look at the fan shape of all those tails next we have a copper look oh licker tongue with a big head is he proportional i mean some of these pokemon may have had some uh general changes from the art they were based on back when some of these came out to the pokemon that we know now we have uh the deer one what's this called again stantler i think next we have oh silva saturday my boy that's three sudden widows they look so cool together i really like these next we have oh okay that is badass that one has some details neato king ornito queen i'm actually not sure i see parts of both i guess it kind of have has fangs i think only neither king has fangs maybe we'll see the other one if we're lucky we do have a lot of boxes to go through here what is this golduck okay little golduck another box this one we have gold it is oh almost charizard charmander reminds me of the days when i'd pull uh the regular gx charizard from burning shadows instead of the rainbow one but those days of torment are over i never have to open another burning shadows again we have a blue jinx we haven't seen another in the same light blue color as the the pikachu yeah regard to an apom cheeky little monkey another box and this one we have oh blastoise oh he's so wide yeah blastoise another box and this one another gold oh that looks good golden horse golden horse another one something green oh i thought that was a green charizard a little thin though era look at the jaw is that aerodactyl what the hell am i looking at that is a monstrosity another one and this one another green ear it is machop there you go you remember machop the pokemon that could beat up this little manlet blastoise bulbasaur box bubble sawbox has copper metapod i've copped a copper metapod butterfree box contains another gold oh flareon look at this look at all this sass how nice that looks with the tail yes i am aware what i find aesthetically pleasing is probably pure dog [ __ ] to a lot of other people all right is that a new color is that a chansey or is that a blissey that's blissy that's a new color range uh i'm pretty sure next we have a kangas khan there we go the mother kangaroo pokemon in a nice stone shade then we have another gold one a golden weedle what a waste also just to clear things up i don't think getting them in gold is any more rare it's just the shiniest and nicest that i want to look out for although i really do like these stone ones pichu my little baby there we go little uh stone pichu yes stone and gold my favorite two looks i mean so far we might pull another one that i prefer more we have uh oh silver pichu there he is very shiny boy next another box this one is uh a jugong is that jugong or is that seal i think it's jugong so you're getting clever with that one you don't have to have a stand you just make the tail shaped and flat at the bottom next we have a sunken again that looks clean that one looks nice it's not too reflective i think that might be my third favorite colorway i think that's the same one as this all right i think blissey is the same as this next we have something blue it is oh very fitting a vaporeon i'm yet to see any kind of charizard yet um oh is this is this no that's cabo tops a purple cabotops what from the starters have we got so far a green blaster isn't a gold charmander is that it we have a seadra in the bronze copper look charmeleon box that's a really old one uh i think that's metal collection two that's correct let's see what this one has in it one of the originals no doubt there we go uh pidgeot look at that slicked back hair what a player see the pidgeot or pidgeotto ah here we go wait is this just that we got another new light blue but it's just a double just pikachu again okay hang on one of these is jumbo true these must be from two different years they decided to put pikachu in it again i think maybe they just made him look more how he looked at the time this came out possibly being a testament to its time and how pikachu looked each time uh those sets rolled out all right we've got a silver sheep marip the sheep next up a victory belt slash pikachu box something purple something oh okay here we go is this the other one or is this the same one this purple color would lead me to believe it was nido king over nidoqueen i think these are the same yeah that's gotta be the same pokemon released from different sets the stone one looks so much nicer let me know in the comments below what your favorite feels kind of light it is oh uh oh i see you stone deer stone deer okay that's getting old all right clefairy box we have did we get liquor tongue in this exact color another one this time we have sunk we're getting doubles doubles in the same color come on something new something new all right it's uh again looks like a brussels sprout we have uh prime ape the little angry monkey next pikachu box something gold we have um farfetch farfetch with the leak golden version or should i say far fetch t with a d all right then how many vegetables we're going to pull here all right um tangler that is that is really weird looking porygon box have we done a porygon box yet let's see what we got inside this one we have a copper ah bok next another day another pokemon box we got a purple caterpie next another box this time we have a murkrow in my third favorite colorway next another box this time we have jugong again but uh copper haven't got a copper jugong another one ah it's sunken silver sunken again gold gold right horn oh he's solid that's a whole lot of mass for a little boy he's not completely solid though he's actually one of the hollow squared out ones again this time a blue one oh bulbasaur no either saw that's either saw right or is that bulbasaur no that looks like uh the little flower okay moving on another gold i see inside how many of this [ __ ] deer are we gonna get moving on to another box this time uh nidoran or nidorina or nidorino yeah whatever one of those knit around male knit around female shut up we go again and this time we have oh how is that meant to stan where are you supposed to set this stone butterfree that you cannot display this unless you put it in some sort of case i don't know maybe uh these did have one of those sort of collector plastic case things oh there's a ball he's gold too golden bulbasaur yeah that's definitely the other one was i ever saw look at this boy all right now we're talking look at this little bulbous body looking at these you'd think this was the stronger one okay we're doing another one where is a charizard just give me any kind of charizard all right uh three-headed egg demon nice very very scary butterfree box and this one a stone weeping bell i think another reason i like these ones is it's so much easier to see their features next another one this time parasect look at that that one's really gritty next another butterfree box baby oh this one's stuck all right don't break its wing is that a legend oh articuno gold articuno i like that i feel like i could snap its wing very thin just like a real bird i could beat a bird in a fight we have ball ball sword box we have uh bronze onyx what is up with its eyes look at that again a pokemon with no soul those just go right into the abyss another one this one has copper abra that's new right yeah last time we got stone abra right another box this one another stone kangaskhan did we see that yeah i think we'd be seeing that it'd do be a double i think all right next box you can [ __ ] off plant plant it had to open get magneton oh very very nice i love that one that's real nice i was about to say how does it stand up but i think they've actually crafted it so it's supposed to but in practice no it's all right half of these i've seen now definitely just don't stand we've got one of the the nids ned there he is ned ned stone ned flanders another one this time something purple oh would you look at that purple flanders purple drapes all my life i've wanted purple drapes charmeleon box what do you have gold gold what is it what is it chansey all right we've seen blissey now we've seen golden chansey here is everybody so far surprisingly most of them do actually stand uh the ones i was having trouble with a metapod and arbok butterfree actually stands and i got magneton standing okay continuing on this one easy to tell what number it is just literally says part five on the side and this time we have a hitmonchan purple and another one a green one oh butterfree p mush green butterfree which is one of the rarer colors so far and number six this time we have oh victory bell two weeping bells so far and now a stone victory bell that uh vine is making me uneasy another one we have oh pharaoh thought it was articuno again there you go pharaoh charizard is this a charizard this double of the slug mew this dark purple is the most rare so far followed by the two sky blue pikachu up next oh that one has got some damage sorry cubone looks like you have bone cancer that's probably what your mother died from i'm sorry i shouldn't have said that that's a horrible thing to say here you can get adopted into this new family there you go another one we have a oh what is up man that we're getting some really aged ones here alakazam with the double spoons and the rotting shoulder blades i'm fostering a lot of damaged pokemon all the gold ones being fully clean though i think it's just the material maybe that those ones are made from here we go another apom gold okay bulbasaur box has a blue horse very nice then we're going to a pikachu box number six we have a p marsh green tentacruel i think that one is and then we have a arcanine box and this one yes oh i choked on my excitement charizard oh he's what happened to his ears other like uh down the back of his neck and just like the other gold ones he is looking clean wow okay well that was quicker than the rainbow charizard also funny that i do pull the golden charizard and i haven't pulled any of the other colors assuming there is multi colors for charizard he looks a little deformed he doesn't even have an eyeball on this side well you can pack it up there folks it has been done okay so he came from an arcanine box maybe we can get a different colored charizard if we have more arcanine we oh i thought that was wartortle for a second then we go radicate green part five what do we have gold is that is that what it's stuck it is holy [ __ ] that looks nice that uh scyther goldscyther would it be nice to get him in the dark green that is a big scyther another one this time we've got a blue uh hypno then we're gonna open up another arcanine one charizard again come on gold nope oh okay it's his gay sassy brother dragonite that is dragonite you gotta love dragonite look at this little chubby dragon i'm stoked on those two right within the span of each other another gold just [ __ ] out golds manky he's another fairly big one peachy box gold again what is happening all right gold hoot open up another p okay what is right uh moving on to the butterfly box okay the gold break has stopped i mean the gold streak has ceased okay let's continue i can't wait to have a look at them all at the very end we have a ditto in his appropriate color then i'm going to open up sun kern slash petri box uh getting a lot of doubles here although i don't know if i've got him in stone form then we're going to do another clefairy box we got a green one what's it going to be oh another very fitting color scheme oddish and green man they made him look very very cute jesus christ there's still so many to go who would have thought 200 plus boxes would take this long all right we've got uh blue eggman then we're going to go from bulbasaur let's see what you got bubble sauce something green uh green growlith okay up next petri box you have okay okay fair fair play up next petri box against come on three sunken in this one color my champ what do you have machamp you got a champion pokemon inside oh that's new a little uh golden shelter i don't like how they have the text just branded into the backs of them takes away from something that's already so small i guess for a lot of things if you had a base you'd put it on the base copper caterpie there you go a number six pikachu victory bell box contains a stone primate next we have a magneton next we have a golden lapras whoa it's a big chunky boy with the square ass i'm 100 sure that one will stand up straight and then what what what okay but why what is this jolteon that is the worst design i've why you could have figured out a way you didn't have to brick his legs like forced a dog to stand in cement i don't like that all right oh ooh it's the it's the very rare color now we can evolve our very rare squirtle with this wartortle i feel like um maybe this line might be special not sure though yet i don't know let's take a look at these uh little pamphlets i'm not sure if this is advertising which ones are rare to get or not but it looks like you can get a gold pikachu this is from another set gold gengar and silver upright mew there's a different gold pikachu there and this one gold meowth and that looks like a new color all together for that mewtwo maybe maybe the ones that shows in here are like the hard ones to get the special ones all right and there's a pink pikachu golden gyarados okay butterfree box another gold a golden clefairy clefable saw box this one have a stone wiggly tough another arcanine box this one has oh purple pikachu oh okay he's roughly the same model as this one i think up next this box is oh this one's all like squashed all right we have a green wheezing i haven't seen wheezing yet there you go looking like coronavirus green mewtwo box possibly one of the oldest ones here and this one uh venonat another another another this one we've oh okay pikachu has changed a lot this is definitely a more recent one the pikachu evolution is real look at this unrealistic body standards i've given him a neck another box another day another box another gold gold uh diglett very nice another box another bulb also let's see what we got in here we've got to stop someone gets stuck all right oh stone articuno okay sun can pichu okay golds are the most common at least in my small data set which is not exactly a small data set uh up next we have these ones go bad these ones look at that mr mime with brain damage brain rot up next yep another gold we have omer knight oh my star yep that's i'm a star no i'm a star i pulled the charizard we have a tentacle green again maybe tentacle i don't think that one's tentacle though um oh is that a different oh no that's there we go oh my knight overnight and i'm a star now mew pikachu box what do you have for us something new copper gold up can't remember what golduck i got already there's too many i can't just look down and check anymore very easily on the fly got a uh victory bell then we're going to go for another one straight away another gold this time it's the golden uh far fetched then we're going to go for another one straight away come on keep them coming speed round baby we've got nidoran male or female stone edition then we go up for another one and then there's one we have is that a new color or is that no possibly i think it's just like a rust damaged faded one of these keep it moving keep it moving ev eevee yeah evie now we can evolve into um either the blue vaporeon the gold flareon or the cement legged jolteon we have a krabby there you go another another another please sir this oh what is this kingler look at the claws on oh my god that thing would vice grip your [ __ ] off next what we have in this one we've got oh here's a good one i do like that that's the appropriate color too next we have a get a lot of these now probably a new color though maybe for the nidoran i mean bulbasaur bulbasaur called it bobble saw boggs stone bulbasaur nice that's a good one up next we have another something gold oh the big muscle man golden machamp he looks like he might have a hard time standing up with the top heavy nature of his hands and we've got oh another starter getting the starters now green squirtle up next we have a champ again we've just seen him and now we've got two of them a blue one and a gold one i guess we are opening these machamp boxes and there we have uh arcanine copper arcanine copper copper arcanine then we have doug trio who is surprisingly smaller than this super diglett next what we got we have a c [ __ ] c king gold seeking i'm seeking another charizard it is oh nice zapdos we've got articuno we've got zapdos we don't have moltres i don't think we've got a moltres and next we've got a very sad or upset looking geodude i don't really like the design of that it could have made him look more like geodude oh this is heavy it's a lot of mass in one spot it's just like a essentially a ball bearing there you go coming together nicely boys yeah there's there's a lot of golds butterfree let me be free says this drag dratini keep calling dragonair up next the bubble saw box another one another gold it's a golden persian with a thick ass neck another bulbasaur box we have a lapras okay gold lapras copper lapras another one this time they only dropped disgusting ill up next we have right um up next we have so many gold soda wood oh he's one of my favorite ones i think i don't know i feel like they just nailed him he just he sits really well and then we have a clefairy and then no clefable and then we have a green eevee and then we have a silver it's been a while since we've seen a silver silver again poly wrath have we got we have we've got polywrath and poliwag no poliwhirl i don't think we have i don't understand the sizes for some of these i understand some of them are more intricate than others i just don't get it sometimes it doesn't feel like you're doing him justice old gollum all right next we have oh kakuna that one definitely ain't standing we've got some metapods now we've got a concunar cocoona uh up next oh that's a new one that okay why have we not seen this color yet i guess that's what the the pikachu on the little pamphlet would come in a pink coughing okay i like that he's now the rarest color and then we have what is this what is that charmeleon okay it's actually been done charmeleon charmander and charizard all in gold then we have a parasect blue parasect up next we've got another one a meowth box this time oh what the what that's odd it's kabuto i guess you couldn't make him like facing down because it would just look like this with a back half can you have given him some back legs that he's kind of standing up on or something rather than cutting him in half weird choices with some of them i guess maybe they try to make certain ones work and they didn't uh venomoth okay okay i like that i like where we're going another one of the same color with a stand gyarados love gyarados he's definitely one of the favorites and then we have a okay what was the chances of that back to back didn't we get the stone ones pretty close together as well i'm just wondering if we're gonna pull any more of the light blue or pink ones got a copper pichu up next we have a p green dodrio up next we have a golden cubone okay living the high life cuban after your mother passed away must have left you a large inheritance up next we have charmander it must be possible to get charizard in other colors we've only seen the gold though and it was the one we were going for all right up next a silver apom up net oh that one came off easy a mewtwo box a p green machoke something new haven't got him in any color yet i don't think now i've got my choke my chop my choke and my champ yes dude that's new i swear i swear maybe that's one of the rare ones on the thing yeah that's definitely not a faded purple that's a full red gengar wait a second does that mean this is canon i'm honestly starting to feel like each set oh that is terrifying i feel like they made his head a little too that is awesome though look at the horns these like stone ones the details because they're darker it's it's it really shows off the whole pokemon and all its crevices i feel like uh there is a couple of special colors per cent like really it seems that way speaker the devil we were looking for you poliwhirl awesome all right i feel like the dark purple squirtle family line is something special we have a psyduck no pupils and i feel like the pink coughing is special and i oh that's nice that looks really cool you could put that i guess you could put any of these on like a necklace or a piece of jewelry of some sort and hang and look nice we've got uh the pedophile and green yeah the red gengar special pink coughing special blue pikachus special we got a purple little uh bit of spaghett then up next we have something else which is a p green doug trio up next another mewtwo box this one we oh jigglypuff surprise we haven't seen jigglypuff there you go sorry that we're speeding through them now more than the start that just tends to happen uh golden slowpoke like their tails would be worth a lot you know tim rocket cuts their tails off or whatever um beedrill i forgot you're a pokemon hadn't seen you in a while there we go our first bee drill in the middle collection up wow our first standalone in the metal collection all right our next we're gonna be gold serving of electabuzz appropriate color as close to yellow as you can get something new again still getting new pokemon not even just new pokemon uh pokemon in new colorways just new pokemon haven't seen a mouth either and he's pupils like an actual cat they don't look like that normally do they that is creepy maybe they do to some degree wait they do yeah there they are i don't know i guess what did they change them do they look more like this in the older art i don't know maybe just comes across in the statue form as a lot more terrifying there we go we've got both the ball brothers now fantastic charmeleon box has yes mewtwo my collection would not have been complete without a silver mewtwo stone mewtwo he's got his hands up someone's pointing a gun and net a gold a gold marowak haven't seen a marowak yet that is nice who toot petri box i thought there was nothing in that keep thinking that when it gets stuck or that super light uh macro we've had a lot of murkrows today and next we're yeah we're getting um there can't be too many more original pokemon that we haven't got i don't think we've got gloom in blue though so that's nice then we got uh there we go the gold star boy okay we're pretty close now i'm white yeah i'm winding up got a copper monkey we're on our last straight whoops open that one from the bottom and we wait okay maybe we're just missing a whole bunch they're kind of weird pokemon to make special if they are because there you go i've now got two of that color is there gonna be more we've got uh pikachu the slightly more modern pikachu we have a red mew box which has a gold gold bat okay up next i feel like we again one that's upright mew he looks [ __ ] up look at that there you go upright mew upright mewtwo both secured i think uh we're opening a lot of these red boxes last so maybe that's where we're gonna get a couple of new ones yes snorlax he is a heavy boy as you could expect up next porygon box this time we [Music] okay porygon box porygon and he's red so i guess we just lacked a lot of the red ones there is a full collection of reds it seems porygon box again another red no we got a green we've got uh the other star star me mewtwo box gold yes gold seal we've got so many drew gongs and now we have a seal goldenseal very nice we have an alakazam did we get a kadabra i don't think we got a cadabra we've got and alakazams all today cloister i don't think we got a cloister there we go now we do oh [ __ ] that was the that's the final one is this a different red or is he just more he's just kept better quality ah one more box literally this is literally the last box all right magnumite did we get a magnemite i know we got magneton here they are in all their glory all the different pokemon i'm sorry i can't get a better shot but they're all here ton of gold it's going to be really nice to put these all in a cabinet or something at some point they don't take up too much room well i guess they kind of do because you can't stack them all right it's time for max mofos postcard collection segment where postcard um we've still got another lot somewhere i was going through but it can't find at the moment so we're breaking into our next ebay random bundle i don't know what they are this one has a cute little oh red version i like that let's see if it lives
