How well can our cat see?

[Music] and we have spooky halloween merch yay and it glows in the dark nice as soon as it glows in the dark now he gets little paws we have short sleeve and long sleeve unisex shirts jun's wearing a small yeah we couldn't get the m size on time but we do have insides as well i'm wearing an extra small they're cut and dyed in la and assembled in latin america there are no sweatshops and it's 100 cotton because it's black you don't have to worry about anything showing through and they're very comfortable the sleeves are super long i'm wearing a skirt so it's tucked in but the shirt itself is really long our spooky glow-in-the-dark shirts are only available for seven days and then they'll never be sold again you can order them until october 21st however they will not arrive by halloween we are so sorry we tried but they're taking too long to print thank you guys so much for supporting us let's test some cat vision can i interrupt you guys in our last cat update video we mentioned that our vet gave pt an eye test that suggests she may be blind in her good eye pity hey you to know how well you can see stuff we never thought she was blind but apparently it can be difficult to tell so today we thought we'd give her some tests to figure out just how visually impaired she is [Music] oh rachel i have to stalk her to do a test [Music] pitch i'm sorry i'm sorry for interrupting you oh eyesight i don't think she's in a playing mood yet she just woke up she's got to do her like stretches and scratching she has to find them first i think she can see it i think she just doesn't care smaller slowly push your hand into their face and if they squint they have eyesight because it should be their instinct to close their eyes [Music] automatic lick i can't tell you're freaking too your don't think this doesn't work yeah this time we're we're having difficulty with this test maybe our cats just really trust us [Music] the next test we want to try is with a cotton ball when you drop it in front of a cat with vision they should be able to track it with their head [Music] oh naggy you're so good at this test so the theory behind this test is the cotton ball is so soft and light that it doesn't make any sound when it's falling so only a cat that has vision should be able to see it okay you didn't get tricked nope such a good boy [Music] can't you hear the sound i heard that some cats can even hear the walk of insects [Music] seems like she's following it yeah [Music] maybe he can she can hear us what smell oh she's licking it sorry snow food maybe your hands smell like cat food because you've been digging into the cat food and now the cotton smells like cat food it does i can even i can smell it oh no okay let's try with her left side of her face which she should be bored [Music] yeah she cannot see on that side right that's actually a good control she saw that next test i just came up with peachy sucker football i actually wanted to make a whole video like this but i couldn't find like a little goalie net so if we slide the food along the floor cats will try to yeah cats will try to stop it with their paw from going past them so they don't have to run after it all of our cats do this oh she caught it oh my god these boys stealing their food i only have one now come on nice catch so i think the cotton test was actually the most helpful i think she does have some vision at least not on the left but on the right i think so too to what extent she's visually impaired in her remaining eye i do not know it's a good thing she does have some eyesight
