[Music] oh hi there I'm the taskmasters assistant Alex horn and this is the first in the series exclusive to the worldwide web where I will attempt to explain how to win Taskmaster Mr Rob Beck what is it that sets Taskmaster Champions apart from other contestants L what special skills do they present and what can future contestants learn from past contestants you are the task master champion and Champion those are all questions that I will at least attempt to answer the first and most important key to winning Taskmaster is perhaps the simplest always always always read the task properly in full as I really enjoy saying all the information is on the task because all the information really is on the task here's James AK reading the task but not reading it properly or remembering it very [Music] well hello James draw the biggest and best Circle biggest and best Circle wins your circle must be completed in one single sweep you have 10 minutes your time starts now right we going to go outside you're coming I know what I'm going to do you know what you're going to do I'm to cycle rounded circles on the bike while spinning this around my arm okay well you got one go of this good luck yeah well good luck to you this is how you sweep a circle you ready [Music] [Applause] [Music] yes you still doing it and look where I landed near in a circle near a circle how many circles have been involved in this so far there's those wheels are already circular this was going in circles around me that's a circle I landed in the circle it's not most circles huh biggest and best Circle yeah but you Alex [Applause] goodbye good evening okay explain yourself I thought you you thought I've been told I should draw the biggest circle and what I'm going to do is ride around aimlessly on a bike that's badly spinning a hula hoop and then I'm going to crash accidentally notice there's another circum and try and claim that as part of my attempt that's my reading of what I saw have you got anything different to add my eyes are circles just for context ready this is how Carrie godman Drew her Circle I'm over the moon with that no one's going to beat that and that is just one reason why carrye won Taskmaster Bosch as she would say BOS there we go but there have been others who paid a heavy price for not reading the task properly others like Ian [Music] Sterling divert the sand from bucket a into bucket B you may not touch the sand you may not move the buckets you may not leave the room most sand diverted into bucket B wins your time stops when the sand stops sand [Music] stops oh you [ __ ] oh I've touched the bucket to touch the sun you me not move the bucket move the buckets I thought it said touch the buckets I absolutely moved that bucket I absolutely move the bucket can I move the bucket back I mean that was there was it this has gone terribly wrong you may not touch the sand I've done that you may not move the bucket done that you may not leave the room [ __ ] it let's do that as well water waste of everyone's time you [Applause] Ed I mean aside from the fact you're going to get no points for this I cannot fault that I'm a triple threat Lolly adap fopi always read tasks carefully but on one occasion she inexplicably disregarded a key part of a task such oversights will always have dire consequences wow without moving the fishbowls transfer the water from Fishbowl a to Fishbowl B you may only use the items on this table most water moved wins that's that's got a very that's not a good bake also you must commentate on your attempt through the task always referring to yourself in the third person you have 5 minutes you have 5 minutes your time starts now get all the water from one ball to the other without touching it they could touch it I should say they just couldn't move the balls okay so anyone who did move the balls oh they couldn't move the balls you can't move the balls can't move the balls fine should we see Lolly yeah yeah she just taking a look at everything without moving the fish bowls she's she's G over to the Fishbowl and she's just lifting it up to see how heavy it is is without moving the fish bowls take she's taking the fish bowl and she's going to pour some water into this bowl without moving the fish bows quite a lot but she's just wondering without moving the fish balls wonder if there was a better way but she doesn't have time to she's just committing to it [Music] now without moving the fish balls without moving the fish bowls actually some who assumed they had read the entire task did not read the entire task you may only use the items on this table which gave me enormous pleasure Mel will have a little snack before she starts wondering whether she has to use something on the on the on the desk Mel's just going to have another little piece of chalk [Music] the yummy chocolate may have caught Mel GED out there but she later gave a textbook example of how really careful reading of the task can deliver big [Music] points relevant get this camel through the smallest Gap you have 10 minutes your time starts now get this camel get this camel get this camel through the small get this C right okay right I think we can do it I think we can do it come on come on gang let's do it red light 2 minutes 20 right I can see the high road this is good shops are there brilliant seen it it's over there it's tiny 1 minute one minute okay it's absolutely [Music] [Applause] [Music] tiny what time was it yes yes here we go yes let's go but I got to say I thought it was awesome and I'm going to make Mel the winner I'll tell you that right now however if your careful reading of the task results in you cleverly spotting something everyone else missed it is advisable to take full advantage of your advantage Mark Watson hello Mark oh hi Alex it's um dark paint the best rainbow scene you may not open the lab door until the task is complete you have 10 minutes your time starts now we're on this yes please oh I can't see the colors yeah so when I draw in there I'm not going to see anything at all that's the fun of the task why not H it's too dark ah red I'm just thinking red because that's where we start rainbow the tricky thing is not losing my um bearings isn't it I don't think there's a way that I'm missing of supplying myself with light I mean there is a I look for the light switch there I don't think it probably is but it' be silly if we not to at least try it doesn't say I can't turn the light on that does help uh is that against the rules it's a lot easier like this it's much easier actually yes this is why normally we have lights an absolutely legitimate move right the light switch was there for all five it was lit by the square if you watch back it is always there and they just said you can't leave the room question is was your picture any good I think there's one element of the rainbow which you'd be surprised that he got wrong that is worse than what we did in the dark oh my God it's quite flat quite a flat rainbow this is Christ rainbows have only got one physical characteristic maybe we should focus on the two witnesses do they seem un impressed no they're saying wow so what have we learned today well if you want to win Taskmaster always read the task in full remember what it said act upon it and when appropriate remind yourself that rainbows
