How To Transfer Files from iPad Pro to USB Flash Drive / SSD / External Hard Drive

welcome everyone i would like to show you how to transfer files from your ipad pro to usb flash drive external ssd or external hard drive so the first step is we need to connect our external storage device into our ipad pro so check the cable at the end of your external device if it's usb type-c you can just plug it in directly to the ipad pro or if you have the magic keyboard you can plug it into the side or the magic keyboard however here's the thing if you are in a situation where you have usb type a like i do you can't plug it into the ipad pro so you're going to need to get an adapter which has the usb type a socket so you can just plug in your external ssd whatever you have into that area here and then you just plug in the usb type c area into the ipad pro now once it's connected you should see here the top right that little icon if you're on the older software you may not see that icon however all you need to do is just open up the files app and you can see files open that up and you should see your usb flash drive all your external ssd whatever external device you have connected to your ipad pro so all you need to do is just select the files you want to copy over so let's say this panda underscore vip and you just long press on it and you should see the option here copy or move depends on which one you i want to use keep in mind move will remove the copy which is on your ipad pro and it will be moved over to the external ssd if you would like to select multiple ones let's say i go to my downloads you just tap on select here and you can see you can drag and swipe to select if you want to tap on them individually you can do that as well now if you would like to move or copy a ton of stuff at once you just want to drag and then move your finger down and you can see it will automatically move down or up the page inside the files app so let's say i want to choose these three here like so you have at the bottom here the option to move and then you also have share which is relevant delete we see more here which is the copy so if you do want to copy there it is you can also compress all these files into a zip as well if you would like to so we're going to tap on copy for files we're going to select the external device we're going to long press in the empty space and you see the paste we're going to tap into paste and just like that all of the files which were from my ipad pro and that will be successfully copied over to my external device so that's all there is to it if you want to do the vice versa you just you know highlight all the files from this external storage and then copy them over to your ipad that's it thanks for watching see you guys later bye bye
