How to Transfer Photos from iPad to External Hard Drive (tutorial)

guys here is how you can transfer photos from your iPad to an external drive and there are a couple of things you need to figure out first of all you need to make sure that you have the right cables or the right way to connect the external hard drive so for me I have an iPad with the USBC port and also the Samsung T5 SSD which is the USB C to USBC so I can easily just plug it in so the first step of course plug in and connect the SSD to the iPad now you don't get any pop-up or anything on the screen regarding that you connected it or something but the way that it works is that there are two ways how you can actually like copy and transfer photos and it depends on where the photos are if you they aren't like this in the photos app it's kind of simple so you want to make sure that you actually leave the photos at first and navigate to the files app this is what it looks like and get to the files here you can see all of the locations and and you should see the SSD so for me this is the SSD which is connected so make sure that you have it open like this and ready now come back to the photos and you can grab one photo or select multiple of them so I'm just gonna click on like select a couple of photos and stuff so I'm just gonna grab them like this so these are the two photos which I grabbed I exit at the photos app open up the files app and simply Let It Go like this so I just dragged and dropped some of the photos from my iPad photos app to the external hard drive it's very simple like you can easily just grab one photo and put it there no problem so this would be the first option it's actually very simple but the next uh thing would be to try to copy or move files in between of the location so let's say you don't have the photos here in the photos app but you have them somewhere on your iPad in the storage here so this is kind of similar it's pretty much much almost the same thing and it doesn't matter which type of file you just use so for this let's say this is at the the photo that I want to like copy from or transfer from the iPad on my iPad to the external hard drive so I'm gonna again grab it like this tap on it and I can even just click on open up the file or open up the folder or whatever or place it wherever I want but I'm just gonna let it go now it just moved in and now it is available here on my external SSD of course it's SSD so it's really fast it literally just happens in instant and it doesn't matter if you're like transferring photos or videos you can even grab a video and the same thing applies so internally simple perhaps it's going to take a while for a video but again it's really quick so there is no problem with that whatsoever so like I said this is how you can use it you can even have it separated for folders images and movies of course you can even use some third-party files app but I don't see the reason too because the stock files app or from iOS or iPad or it's really cool so you can easily just drag and drop files and photos from these devices in here and if you want to go with it backwards you can also just grab it like this and even come back to the photos and leave it in here and the photo is added here as well so it goes even the other way around and it's very simple like I said and I showed you so that would be about it hope the video helped you out for more content and for more tutorials like these make sure to subscribe to Fox Tech because I don't want to waste your time or anything so make sure to do that and also check out the next video right here thanks a lot for watching see you guys later
