How to torture your party

all right everyone we're starting at level one i'm gonna be introducing a new homebrew mechanic where all your weapons have hit points and they will deteriorate over time we're going to be playing horde of the dragon queen when making your characters everyone will instead roll a d20 for all their skills i just roll the three fours with a strength index that low looks like you won't be playing a fighter wait they're in order if you all don't mind for this dungeon we're going to use theater of the mind [Music] yeah also 20 zombies will be attacking while you guys are doing this so are the zombies like a horde oh no uh i'm gonna roll individual initiative for every single one ew what mini is that that's disgusting an umber hulk what a stupid name it almost sounds like underpants suddenly an umber hulk appears directly in front of the fighter wait no and the music singing npc joins your party i will now be performing his eight-part concert solo to increase immersion why am i even playing a bard all right we're going to be using variant encumbrance also we're going to be using coin weight also we're not going to use d beyond why okay then i throw up a rope and then climb up it all right you do it with perfect ease why am i even playing a thief and goblin cuts off your arm well i can't wield my sword now why are we using rules where critical hits have lingering injuries we're gonna leave the dungeon all right tell me exactly in extreme detail which direction you go we're gonna leave the dungeon all right it's easy enough for you to navigate your way out why did i even take the keen mind feet all right that was day one of travel good session everyone that was great forging finding basic needs to survive that was a fun six hours you all defeat the dragon he falls over onto his side and dies his gleaming treasure horde directly behind him what's in it well after rolling on the random treasure table you all find 15 potions of healing and a spell scroll of true strike this really stupid video was sponsored by the dm layer and their kickstarter into the fae a new campaign module compatible with fifth edition with brand new spells creatures and adventures to be had all themed around the feywild personally i think the feywild is a bit underdone in 5th edition and this looks like a really cool book so go back to project check it out and support another creator unlike myself on kickstarter link in the description mario we gotta go stop bowser wow
