how to set up a PA system for live band and live streaming using Obs

hi guys how are you doing today i'm going to show you how i set up a pa system for band performance or rehearsal this can be also used for a live streaming setup but before we do that please don't forget to ring the bell to get updated on my next video all right are we ready so come and join me set up a pa system for ben hello soundcheck one two check one two so it's loud and clear yes as you see i'm positioning this to titan 15d wife dale this is a lightweight loudspeaker and as you see i'm moving the forward in front of the keyboard and the band will be playing behind the speaker okay so to avoid the feedbacks during performance so now i'm going to show you how i'm going to connect this to a loudspeaker to the mixer so i'm going to use two xlr cable yeah this two male to female all right so this is the xlr cable if you are not familiar with it there oops there you are okay so let's do it so here is my yamaha mg12x2 that i'll be using today for the set up so we have to go to steer you out right to left this is the first xlr cable for the first loudspeaker it will go through there for me [Applause] and here is the next cable xlr cable for the second loud speaker there oh this will your loudspeaker will look like behind so i'm going to connect then the other end on input a just like that okay all right let's turn it off first i and make sure it's off so that way so same thing this is the second speaker and i'm going to connect input a alright so now that we are done connecting everything make sure that all the sound level are down i need to turn off everything first so for the instrument i'll be using a ts connector cable this is generally used for mono and balance signal so we will be connecting there on the unbalance and this would be for microphones so let me go back to the tsk ball this is mostly used to connect a guitar and then seven would be for the piano all right so from that mixer this is the other end of the cable and i'm going to connect it to this yamaha electric guitar there there okay so the next the next one is the seven which is the piano connection i'm going to connect it just behind the output here and the piano there the next one is the line nine and i'm going to connect the end on these beautiful yamaha base so the last connection is the line 11 which is going to the electric drums which i have placed on the output here there so we'll be using two uh lines for the microphone so i have the first line here the microphone and then this is the second microphone and this goes to here right another one there two microphones all right so i think we are almost ready to do a sound check so this would be two microphones and then four unbalanced line for the instruments right right so now i'm going to show you how to connect the mixer through your laptop so that if you want to do a live streaming all right so the good thing with my yamaha mg 12x2 this is a ready interface so i can just connect it directly to my laptop so i will be needing a i'll be needing a usb cable and i just have to find the usb line here so here it is so from there from the usb yeah and then i'm going to connect it to the other end here there you are now we're ready to turn on our just make sure all the volume are down before you turn on the speaker all right so now we're ready to do a sound check hello soundcheck one two check one two so it's loud and clear so now i'm going to check the keyboard first the piano keyboard yeah let's turn it on and we'll put it in 20 as well so just checking all this one i'm turning off the effects effect should be applied only for vocals now we're going to do a sound check for the electric guitar [Music] okay it works well so as you hear the electric drums are sounding properly so we're ready to uh set up our va system for live streaming i'm going to show you how to connect youtube to obs and the mixer to obs so in your pc or mac open your obs application then open your browser and log into your youtube account so we create a live stream so you can manually go to manage in to a schedule or you can also use the webcam but since i have a schedule here so i'll be choosing this one click on it sorry that's wrong so you have to be in this screen just like this one and you have to copy the stream key and go back to your obs go to preference stream and service should be youtube and then beta version yeah the server is already set up so you just have to get the stream key and paste it from there in facebook twitch any of the on these platform you can use and just get the stream key and paste it to your obs so i'll be using this no screen scenes and make sure that my webcam are all set up there you are so as you see the sources there's a video capture and then the audio input capture and i have some text there so i'm adjusting the web camera so on your obs go to sources audio input capture device you have to add mgx to because mine is mg x2 mixer and i have my video capture there as well which i'm using my sony so this is how we do a setup for streaming then we just click to start streaming and we are ready to do our jamming [Music] straight [Music] let's go [Music] tell me
