[Music] welcome back my channel guys in this tutorial I'm gonna walk you through how to save a word file to a flash drive also don't forget to check out other videos on how to save word file to PDF and other great on how to videos and how to install a pass and how others download Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on your machine completely free on this channel so let's get going so first thing we're gonna do is gonna open up word and write some content into it so I just have a word 2019 you can use word 2016 over 2008 or whatever version you have and I'm simply gonna copy this text that I have and we will save this to a flash drive okay so basically here we are I'm gonna Center this just for giggles and we'll make this bold and so you this can be your own content right again so at this point we're gonna go ahead and insert the flash drive into your laptop desktop or any kind of tablets that you have so once the once the flash drive is inserted you may if you have Windows 10 machine you may see an option right here is like it usually does a round scrolling arrow but if I'm gonna click on the file explorer option here on your own the task manager and click on this PC and you can see the flash drive right there another way you can get to this PC is go ahead and click on your Start menu and type in this PC and as you see this option opens up and go ahead and click on this PC and you see the flash drive basically ok so in here we're gonna what we're gonna do is go in and right click and create a new folder and we're gonna call this word - want okay so this is where we're gonna be saving the file as you see inside here there's no currently file any file in there right now so to save the file go and click on file and we're gonna click on option for save now if you have an existing document click on save as if your if it's a new document then it basically can just click on save so let's just go and click on save and now it's asking for a location to location we're gonna do is click on browse again you may see the same prompt here again again we need to find this PC here and I want you to find this PC that you can basically scroll down and you'll see and the device drives as you see my USB drive right here we're gonna go inside this folder I'm gonna name this file let's call it today - one right so we're gonna hit save so at this point as you see today - one up here it is saved to that flash drive now to verify we're gonna we can go back to the Windows Explorer um via here and click on this word actual in the folder and there is your today we want to file another way we can save this same file into a new folder is let's go ahead and do a second option call save it to your local machine first and then we'll move it to the flash drive so gonna click on file and this time we're gonna use this option for save as and from save as we're gonna go and click on the Browse icon once you see the Browse icon we will scroll up and go to the desktop and on the desktop what we'll do is create a new folder once we create this new folder you may see that like right here if you right-click on this folder and we're gonna type in rename and we're gonna type a folder name so we're gonna name this word - - and hit enter and then click open and we're gonna name this file today - - so this is the second copy of the file that you guys can have okay that's sitting locally on your machine so if you lose your flash drive then you can you can see this file so as you see on my desktop right here a word - folder has been created and inside that folder as we see today - - file is here now if we want to move this file again - to the flash drive all we need to do is go ahead and open your file explorer one more time so we're gonna we're gonna go ahead and go to the file explorer again we're gonna go to click on this option here or go to so your start menu and type in this PC or on Windows 7 my computer so if you if you go there as you see again this PC USB flashdrive and what we can do is we can just copy the folder into it so right-click the folder click copy and right-click on the flash drive and click paste as you see word 2 is not here and that today to file is also there now if you just want to copy the file simply then you can simply open up the folder and once you see the file in there click on the file right click on the file click copy or your alternate option is also used ctrl C to copy and ctrl V to paste so again you can come here and hold ctrl C on your laptop or desktop and go to your destination which is your USB flash drive and type hold ctrl V in my case it's gonna ask me if you want to copy the same problem I'm basically I'm gonna say yes replace the destination because I already have it copied ok so that's how you guys can say well word a file to your USB flash rev again before you eject a flash drive go ahead and right-click on the flash drive and click eject to safely eject the flash drive so you don't get any corrupt data on the flash right so again that's how you guys can basically save any file any regular file to your flash drive so make sure you guys don't forget to Like and subscribe the video also don't forget to check out the other videos and make sure you guys hit that subscribe button because we will be coming out with more how-to videos like this step-by-step to make sure we make everybody's life easy again thanks for watching guys have a fantastic day and we'll see you on the other side also if you have any questions leave them in the comment sections below thanks bye bye
