How To SAFELY Overclock Your GPU in 2024

hey guys I'm corvy and today we're going over shoot where's my glasses today we're going over how to overclock your GPU using the method of MSI After Burner so I'll be leaving a link in the description for you guys to go and download this just real quick I'll show you how to download it if you don't want to use my link so just type in MSI afterburner into your search bar and after you have it searched up you'll want to go to the one from msi.com and make sure it's exactly like this cuz there have been false websites trying to give you viruses and stuff so make sure from msi.com after that go ahead click on it give it a second to load and then just really fastly first thing that pops up download After Burner after that hit save and then now inside of your download folder you just want to go ahead and extract all and then double click and run through with the installation all right now that you actually have it downloaded the first thing that we're going to want to do is just hit this button right here this as you can see from MSI themselves is an overclocking scanner performs automatic graphics card overclocking and stability testing by means of Nvidia over overclock scanner technology so what this means is that it's going to go through and test all sorts of different overclocks and give you the best overclock for your system so I'm going to click it I'm pretty sure that when I tested this once upon a time ago it took like a good 10 to 20 minutes to scan so you know that's a good thing they're putting in a lot of time to make sure that you have the most stable overclock possible for your GPU and then obviously if you don't want to overclock it through this method you do have these two sliders right here and the way that you adjust these on your own is just as you might be seeing the overclock tool doing it they're just going up little by little at a time so if if you're going to do this on your own you want to do the same thing so just start with going up plus 10 at a time for example the thing that you really don't want to do is just crank it all the way up that is a good way to fry your GPU and then no one's going to be happy so just keep in mind as you do do this manually if you do decide to do it manually just make sure to watch your temps don't let it get too high I'm going to go ahead and let the automatic overclock do its thing I'll get back to you guys as soon as it's [Applause] [Music] [Applause] done and now that the scan is done it automatically Imports it over to MSI After Burner and you don't really have to do anything probably just a quick save and then you're good to go now if you check back over to the overclocking scanner it does tell you what the limiter is on not going further so in my case it's voltage I'm guessing that it needs to be unlocked cuz I do keep it locked I don't have my voltage set any higher or lower than it needs to be but if you would like to go past the limiter feel free to do so I can't really say whether or not that would be a good or safe thing to do I'm not going to trap myself I know that right now the 75 megahertz along with the 200 MHz is my safe range so I'm not going to touch that I'm just going to go ahead close out once again just save it real quick and now the last thing you have to do is just make sure that your MSI is running in the background so make sure that this windows sign is blue here go into your settings as well make sure to start with Windows start minimized apply hit okay and then just minimize it with that everyone I hope you have a good one thank you for watching this is going to be my last video ever in 2023 later guys
