How To Remove A Pex Fitting

[Music] Nathan hey guys thanks for joining me again we're gonna try to make a quick simple video of how to remove pecks fittings okay these are the pinch the pecs pinch clamp sorry you can see here in the other camera fine so they're the ones that pinch together now if you're wondering how I put them together you're talking for that video you can check the top right of your screen and I'll put a link to the assembly in the pecs plaque video right there now how do unsampled disassemble it on assemble yeah sure just some water I guess potato pataga right now this is cool they do sell a special ranch to remove the pecs clamps but honestly for the pinched ones doesn't work very good at all okay I've talked to people that have used them to have them and it doesn't terrible job now the the other ones that use the the quick rings they work pretty decent at them and that's like another I don't know just another enrichment divide another 30 40 dollars for that I think I'm gonna say I'm gonna do it with a pair of pliers I'm using needlenose and a straight screwdriver okay I've got a smaller straight screwdriver out too small you guys can see the tools checking the other camera there that I'm using I did bring a miller straight screwdriver alright so I went ahead and released this one here you can see that's what's gonna look like when we're done and that's what looks like you know beforehand so if you need to take a foster part and shut off valve or just recover a good fitting especially like a brass vein and bring these poly ones but I understand that so I'm gonna try to get this in the other camera you guys can see all right now you got right here we'll put this on top we've got the little pinch ring the clamp part okay and then over here if you turn it you see on the end here where it's where the clamp itself kind of stops there's this piece here here I'll use screwdriver the folds over and that's what we need to attack so we're gonna take the pair of pliers and use them to fold it I don't know if you guys can see this very well there you know I'm using needlenose pliers but you might with these other pliers this as well and it takes just a little bit of patience trying to get the pliers to catch and I'm just trying to roll them over trust me this does work there's just not much to catch almost got it if you take a close look there I've got it almost went straight up and I'm just gonna do it just a little bit more okay there we go now that you've got that this just takes a little patience here you see now that's been straight up we're just going to take our small screwdriver and wedge it up underneath the clamp here kind of working in okay and all right trying to make sure you guys can see this in the camera just about got it there we go so you know he popped it loose now you can just hold it with your thumb and then that open a little bit and there goes the ring okay now that the ring is off your other fittings this you need a plug so they don't give you much more to work with you're the face give you a lot more you can grab hold it with pliers the little rings on the fitting I'm pulling it in so I got a screwdriver in between the PEC spike and the fitting okay sorry I'm shaking they can't over there my arms let's able oh there we go okay are we going to be successful here okay and there we go we have recovered hit the pecs fitting separating the PEX pipe okay and everything's still intact so guys hope you liked this video to stay create a simple video to show you how to inexpensively with tools hopefully you already almost a screwdriver and a pair of pliers like I said I think a regular square - it's a pair of pliers will work just as well I just have any more days and then Neil Mills there so guys if you like that please give this video a thumbs up please go ahead and hit that unsubscribe button subscribe the channel because that always helps please share this video on your social medias Facebook Twitter Instagram whatever I'll let other people know you know they might would be interested in learning how to do this so they can figure out how to do it and it's very very easy other than that guys thanks again you have a good one
