g'day everyone this is a quick tutorial on how to program your stream deck for microsoft flight simulator functions as you can see this is my stream deck main menu and i have an a320 button top right here and if i click that you can see that i've programmed some of the functions that i use in microsoft flight simulator i've got also pages for autopilot communications and lights so if i go to lights these are my lights for example and if i go to the simulator you can see at the moment all the lights are on on my aircraft and if i switch any of these lights off low and behold the lights turn off so i can turn the logo light off for example and the logo goes off etc landing light off taxiing lights off basically get complete control over all my aircraft lights and i've got a button here called all which i flick on and they all come on not only do they all turn on the interior lights in the cabin turn on on that button as well so if i click the button again all they turn off and if i go into the cabin like so all the lights are off as you can plainly see and if i um click that button again the all button then all the lights come on so how do you do that first thing you do is you go to more actions and you do a search for flight tracker this is the add-on that connects your stream deck to microsoft flight simulator once you've got that installed click the install button obviously i've already got it installed and you can start loading up buttons to do what you want to do now pretty well any function in the cockpit can be replicated on a button you probably don't want them all but you want the most common ones obviously i have all the lights here if i go backwards i've got the parking brake ground spoilers geared etc i've also got autopilot functions on this page and i've got my com settings here so how do you do com features well there's nav and com here find a button that's vacant drop this button onto that one and then select the feature you want so for the transponder just click transponder and to use this you hold that button in for about a second and a half and then you will get a a page which looks like this and you can punch your transponder settings in let's punch in a transponder code hold the transponder button down 2 2 2 5 enter there you go the transponder is now reacted accordingly and it's replicated on the mimic panel on my stream deck the same with the communications channels hold down the com1 button you're given a new numpad so let's one two five five press enter and then your standby frequency is now one two five five and then it switched to it you just tap the button and you swap back and forth so hold the button to change tap the button to swap what about the other functions the the lights for example well what you need is two lists and they are linked in the description and the lists are these i'll just move these on you need this page this is a list of all the events which is a button push typically in flight simulator and you can see there's a list of over a thousand button pushes supported in all the different types of aircraft there are and there's a second list which is the values that are stored so for some buttons you need both of these things so some toggle buttons you only need the first one but where you are storing a value or you want to retrieve a value or detect a value then you would need both let's go for the logo light here's the logo light setting so i've just typed in logo in the text i've said show title so that word appears on the button and i've bumped up the font the 11 points here and i've got two items the toggle event is on the first list which is toggle logo lights toggle logo lights and that's that's the event and to make the button change you've got to detect the value which is light logo on which is in the second list here that there are two values a light logo and light lago on so i've used light logo on and so when i hit the button it turns the logo on and off with the event and it also detects in the second part of it that the state of the logo light and then it swaps my preset icons i've created a couple of graphics for on and off and you don't actually need them if you clear those then there is still an indicator that the state is either on or off but you can add your own so i've linked my own this one's the on and link this to the off and so now when i switch back and forth i get a different graphical indicator the all all light button is all lights toggle and that's the only thing that you need and so when i hit that button it toggles them all off and all on including the landing light so you're likely to blind the tug operator but then again he's just animated so it's kind of a victimless with these two lists the events and the values you can match them up and pretty well program all the buttons that you require parking brake is one that we all use so again it's the toggle event is parking brakes and the feedback indicator feedback value is brake parking indicator and if you've got those two then your button will operate the parking brake i hope this was helpful if you think it was good click the like button don't bother subscribing i may never do another video again this is wigner thanks for watching
