HOW TO PLAY BARBARIAN

so you're gonna play barbarian huh the raging battle sworn meat tank of the group swinging your axe across the battlefield killing anyone who dares anger you pillaging villages without breaking a sweat all while not knowing basic math here's how to play barbarian barbarians are notoriously one of the easiest classes to play in dungeons and dragons at level one you get two abilities an unarmored defense rage is used as a bonus action on your turn to suddenly start going [ __ ] insane like your half orc just snorted a whole line of coke yep too much he's got a problem his mother doesn't love him he doesn't have a job don't do drugs guys this is really serious hey can you help me with these groceries yeah sure [Applause] you also gain a bonus to damage because being angry hurts people emotionally [Music] it's pity damage they pity you and your ability not to control yourself you also have resistance to bludgeoning piercing and slashing damage because you feel no pain unarmor defense also at level one this ability allows you to add your constitution modifier to your armor class because you feel no pain fun fact barbarians have the highest hit dice out of all the classes clocking in at a d12 why because you feel no pain level 2 you get reckless attack this is a simple one you can perform an attack at advantage but if you do it all attacks on you for the round will have advantage it's basically like you're throwing down your defenses to try and get a good hit because you're angry although it really sucks if you miss because it would look a lot like this [Music] i'm going to have to use my full power against you [Music] at second level you also get danger sense you can see something trying to kill you like a trap or spell you get advantage on dodging it third level this means subclasses barbarians get to choose one of the two primal paths the first being path of the berserker here's a basic idea to get your inspiration juices flowing path of the totem warrior this kind of barbarian is spiritual in nature they commune with the world filling their souls with the emotions of the world painting their livelihoods with rage and wonder also you can turn into a [ __ ] bear and if that's not the coolest [ __ ] then you need to leave right now just kidding please rage attack that like button fifth level you've purchased a gym membership and bought a barrel of protein powder from costco so now you can attack twice and run an extra 10 feet on your turn at 7th level you get feral instinct at this point you're a weird mix between an insane crackhead and fit gym trainer this skill is more insane crackhead you now have honed your instincts and you get advantage on initiative also if the enemy gets the drop on you you can take your turn on the surprise round at 9th level you get brutal critical you take that axe and slice into the arteries of enemies granting you an extra damage dice when you grin they're [ __ ] dead level 11 if you die while raging you okay all right i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm trying to do a whole you know fit guy a crazy buff dude for this barbarian video but i swear to god the barbarian is just it's just an anime character you get an empowered attack that makes enemies easier to hit you you also get to run fast you also get to attack twice your anger prevents damage you do lots of damage along with brutal crits and if you're raging and you die you get to do the whole anime my anger keeps me alive [ __ ] barbarians are not crackheads they aren't even fit athletes they aren't even badass warriors they're anime characters i mean i don't i don't know if i can finish this my entire view on barbarians is so different they just aren't how i see them anymore conan tormund kimly they're all just anime characters fifteenth level is persistent rage where rage only ends if you go unconscious or die which means you're angry all the time eighteenth level is indomitable might you can substitute a strength roll for your strength scores so unless you're stupid your strength should be a 20. so you're always getting a 20 destroy okay okay it's exactly like rogue level 20. it's exactly the same thing you just and level 20 is primal champion your strength and constitution get a plus four allowing them to go to 24 for each score which literally means all level 20 barbarians get a 24 on all strength rolls what the hell wishes to the coast why even include the dice [Music] it's not real the pain i feel the anger inside of me it's an act it's all just so i can attack my enemies with advantage and also take half damage against my 285 health my emotions carry this burden [Music] i take with me the soul which is linked to this world it keeps me here it keeps me alive and it keeps me angry
