HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY CRUNCH CAKE JARS | JUKE JOINT SUMMER SERIES

about summer desserts okay y'all see me in my baker outfit y'all see that apron we're gonna be making delicious strawberry crunch cake jars so it's going to be easy for you to enjoy at home buy yourself honey ain't no shame in your game or you can make it for people that's coming over for the bbq the fish fry or the quinceanera if you have made my strawberry shortcake pancakes with the crumbled topping this is the same thing you're just gonna put it in a jar now okay we work very hard on making these butter sandwich cookies don't pay attention to that butter cookies with a white icing in the middle get those you want to crumble them like this now you can do them in desired size pieces but you know you don't want to be choking on them like a hair ball but you know ain't nothing wrong with a little crumble cookie a little cellulite cookie he got a couple dicks in there i ain't never heard a man say that he don't like a booty they got a little cig light up in there okay you just want to crumble them up so they look like this and i like to have them like medium sized because i do want to taste the cookie and all that with the cake and the cheesecake filling and all that we're going to mix together so this is beautiful we're going to take some salted melted butter you want to use salted because anytime you're making some type of dessert y'all you do need salt up in there okay i have had a million pound cakes and i can tell when they don't put that teaspoon of salt that is necessary all the recipe ingredients will be in the description box and because of our new producer you're gonna have the full recipe strawberry gelatin that is our secret ingredient this is what's gonna make it really really good y'all okay i'm gonna use about a half a pack of that and you just want to toss this around this is lovely darling you can put this on cheesecake pancakes ice cream everything wherever your heart desires wherever the spirit leads you put it on there or you can just eat it like i do out the bag we're just going to sit this to the side and we're going to move on to our cheesecake filling for the cake jar i've got a food processor right here you guys don't have to use this you can use a handy dandy mixer hand mixer if you want to or honey if you want to feel like you've been working on a chain gain all day you can use a list but i would not advise that baby you're going to be around to look like tara cruz after it's just softened cream cheese goes down in there oops look at the peanut gallery me and you gave me the only people that work around here they better count their damn days you always have a job here sophie youtube thank you so i've got my cream cheese in here we're going to pour in our this condensed milk said not today it's already in slow mo we're going to pour some condensed milk in here it said baby i'm not on the clock okay take your little spoon get everything out because you paid for it you want that sweetness too the condensed milk is going to make it really rich and just delicious and have that vanilla taste too that way you ain't got to put no vanilla extract up in there okay and now i'm going to add some heavy cream and then we're going to put our lid on you're going to secure it like you do your lace fronts out there sophie probably like what's the way front that's the wigs that we was telling you about it costs a lot of money anyway secure like the wig and you want to just blend for your life honey like you need to do your leave out okay oh this look like my skin baby [Music] baby this is have a good time over here watching me and having a good time and all that but be careful with this especially if you're allowing your small children to work with you mama's daddy's parents out there maybe you want to do this part okay and i also want you to take your time and scrape this part off once we chill the cake jars this is going to turn into like a cheesecake okay so it's going to be really really good so you you are going to have to chill this sorry you're going to have to lash chia this looks great we're going to take some strawberries they're super fresh quarter them dice them really fine whatever you want to do okay i just want to cut them into pieces so back in the day a couple years ago actually i know you guys see me in lights camera action and all that stuff but this is very sentimental to me i was single mom always been a single mom contrary to popular belief i am still single out here okay i used to sell these cake jars back in the day in the hot sun to make a living i would have all types of flavors i would do this flavor i would do lemon berry crunch i would do better than sex cake i would do red velvet cheesecake i made a ton of these jars and people love them and a lot of the recipes that i am making is from my childhood and also from when i used to hustle in the streets i was a caterer i did dinner parties i hustled so where i am now in life i'm very grateful but this recipe right here it helped with food on the table for me and my daughter strawberries are chopped i am going to grab my cake that i already made let me tell you we worked very hard on this i mean day and night sometimes the time for summer sun get a box strawberry cake when you bake it put it on a sheet pan and they want to look like this when it comes out let it cool completely okay because you're gonna have them the burn marks on your finger then you're gonna have to go to big mama house you're gonna put some butter on your finger and stuff keep some blistering so we're just going to crumble this up make sure you use clean hands you can use the ice cream scooper and all that stuff too but just want to crumble it you want to crumble it up just like this and it's ready to go and now we're going to build the jars and i'm gonna take the ones that we already made over here thank you katie it's tv magic listen no cooking show is real except for ours we do cook for real over here so we've got our crumble cake that's been cooling and it's chilled i seem nice and toasty okay thank you so i've got a eight ounce jar here this is perfect for like a good serving size honestly so you can use the 12 ounce jar a big jar whatever you want to use but this is good especially if you have guests coming over and especially if you're trying to get your snap back together honey okay this is really really good all right we're gonna take our cake here you can just use your hand and just form it to the level if you want to and you want to put that down in there like that all right this is really good for your kids to help you with okay they love it just want to press that down kind of get it down in there like that then we got our cheesecake filling drop that down and get this eagle on drop down and get your legal on girl hey now we're gonna take those fresh strawberries and put that down in there like that use your spoon honey push that down take you a little bit of that crunch and put that in there like that you want to pack it pack tight we don't want that the social distance we want to tie it in there all right and then we're just going to repeat the layers more cake down in there more cheesecake feeling put your little strawberry in there look at there oops and then you want to feel it look like this right here look at that boom that's so easy look at that this is beautiful so you can cover this in saran wrap and put the lid on if your your mason jars come with the lid and let them chill up to two hours or more i like overnight because i feel like you know the cheesecake gets a chance to set and then the cake gets cold and the fruit and it just blends together like a big happy family okay i'm gonna finish these off and then i'm gonna pop them in the fridge and then we're gonna do a swap out because it's tv magic so i don't want a lot of y'all to act like it's the next day because it's not [Music] our jars have been chilling in the refrigerator okay for a couple hours and they're nice and chilled and that's what we want okay so i want to just chop mine off if you have people coming over and all that stuff you know you want to make it look pretty pop the lid open and look it has solidified that looks beautiful that beautiful cheesecake feel in there that's what we want it still looks luscious and beautiful and silky smooth okay popping it's hot girl summer cake jar that's what it is so yeah so you want to pop a couple of these open this looks beautiful but if you're going to serve it to your guests before they come over or just you before you eat it honey you want to top with a little whipped cream get it from your bedroom i know where it said nice little nice nasty quarantine freaks out there i know what you did good thing wanna top it make it look gorgeous okay then it's very bad it's a hot girl somewhere to rip then you want to just top it with a fresh strawberry want to stick that down in there look at there that's so gorgeous this is going to be so good at the barbecue so we just want to finish this off with a little bit of crumble on there like that don't that look good that's so pretty look what you didn't do out there at youtube university the folks gonna be like girl you made this you wanna tell me how you made that cake okay let them know you worked very hard on it and there you go that looks great so you just wanna taste it i'm gonna take this out cause i just decorated it for y'all okay that's what i did but i wanna dive in oops ooh ooh so she might oh my crew look at this that looks so good oh look at that whipped cream just eat it that's all you do hmm you make me so happy you make me so happy so delicious and flavorful it's amazing it's like summer
