[Music] look at these two love birds hello hello mommy it's daddy how are you we are great we are great yeah hello i am so so so glad you guys are great mommy you look absolutely stunning thank you you're glowing okay and you guys have these cute fits on so it only makes sense we got to give a shout out to janice white at the merchant flea market in scarborough up at warden and eglinton if you want to go and get some you know pieces like this because i see a lot of you guys asking about daddy's clothes and now mommy's clothes um you know you can go and visit janice white she's in aisle five at merchant flea market just a little quick promo because she's awesome and she has great stuff and you guys are always asking about it so there it is okay can't say i never told you but i'm so happy to have mommy in the kitchen today and i want to tell you what the colors mean of jamaica means okay yellow for the sunshine black is for the people and green is for the grass okay okay i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it shout out to jamaica shout out to jamaica and what's wonderful about jericho is that you know even though the black does stand for you know the people the beautiful beautiful black people what's amazing about jamaica is that there are so many different nationalities or races everybody is a part of the land and that takes part of beautiful people yes beautiful beautiful people so don't feel left out any tones okay many beautiful tones okay and so you know we're happy about that so we're in the kitchen today because we are making something that we tried to make last year and couldn't necessarily go through with it but now the season has come around the holidays and it only makes sense that mommy shows us how she does her scrum delimptious ham okay so wait i totally just gave it away oh my god oh my god you know what let's do it let's do it again okay mommy and daddy what we are cooked today we ever cooked jamaican ham whoa with pineapple slices and cherry pan top with lots of cloves i love it i love it guys if you knew how good it was you would understand why she was just holding her knees okay all right so we're gonna go straight into it all right mommy so what do we have here we have this is jamaican's choice brand i actually got it at danforth meats i got it yesterday and it's double smoked picnic ham okay all right so um it's it's a whole leg of ham that um that was smoked okay okay all right so daddy's gonna open the bag for us here you know i like anything smooth i feel like the flavor of things that are smoked are just on another level um it looks good eh look all right yeah so we're gonna actually take this off also before i put it in to boil i'm gonna be boiling it for about an hour and a half to two hours so um any extra salt you know we're staying away from as much salt as possible so in the boiling process in the boiling process we will um careful yeah in the boiling process you will get rid of some of the salt okay out of the ham okay i am gonna let daddy just rinse this off for a bit first and then we're gonna be put it into it into the pot of water and obviously i just saw you you were telling daddy that he has to be careful so yeah when you're taking this off you're actually taking off some of the meat so you just have to be careful when you are pulling it off okay okay all right all right this is what they they use to hold it together to smoke it okay so i'll get rid of that that is just rinsing rings in the ham just make sure it rings it ham not that it's not clean but we you know how we are with rinsing our food okay and then we're going to be putting it into the pot of water on the stove we're going to be putting it in to this pot here we had put the water on um and it started boiling already but not necessarily that you have to um put it in boiling water okay so he's gonna just be careful when you're putting it in to the pot because this water was already boiling and what i will be doing here i have some angel brand cloves okay so i'm gonna be putting a couple cloves into the water just to give it that flavor okay and we're gonna we're gonna be using the you will see how we use the cloves when we're gonna be putting it in the oven with a pineapples okay okay so right now all it is is the ham and the hot water water um in the water boiling for about an hour hour and a half at least to two hours okay okay with clothes in there with clothes in the water just to give it that nice flavor all right okay so let's all right i'm just gonna cover it now and just leave it there okay guys so we boiled the ham for about an hour and a half we boil the ham so here's the ham that is boiled okay so i took it out i poured off the water poured off the water over there i poured off the water and i put it into the baking tin now okay because i i'll be putting the glaze on okay but uh first before i put the glaze on i have to make it yes okay so let's make the glaze because the glaze you guys is what makes this so poppin oh my goodness yeah okay so i'm going to be using some tropical rhythm pineapple guava pineapple grava okay for the liquid i have a cup of sugar i might um give and take maybe not the whole of it but i'll see how that goes and then i'll put maybe a tablespoon or so of mustard in it okay okay all right so i'm just gonna go over to the stove here i'm gonna turn on the stove maybe on a medium heat medium heat okay all right so i'm gonna put the sugar i'm gonna put half of this quantity in the pot okay then i'm going to pour some of that some of this tropical rhythm pineapple guava i'll pour that in all right i'm gonna mix that and i'm gonna put about a tablespoon or so of mustard in it let us know in the comments if you're a mustard lover honestly for those of you who are not i promise you you will love it in the glaze because a good ham during christmas time holiday time a glaze is important okay so we're just gonna bring this to a boil okay i think it will get a little bit thick okay i'll take that so you pretty much just whisk it until it yeah it will come because the sugar is in it and it will thicken up a bit and be like a caramelization yeah so it's it's actually going to be like a glaze it's actually going to let the pan seem become a bit shiny yeah texture yeah the tip yeah i'm just gonna let that stay for and bring it to a boil okay so when it gets to a boil is that usually when it's ready yeah yeah when it gets to a boil and then you can uh oh just baste it put it on the ham okay well we're gonna wait until we get to that point mommy went to go get the door guys but we added some clothes we added the remainder of sugar and we also added some more of the guava juice but yeah guys look at me whipping it up in the kitchen i know you guys have still been asking me to join and i promise you with the content that we're coming with for the new year you guys better get excited okay so we're about to score the ham yes yeah and we have finished our glaze mixture this is our glaze mixture it tastes okay so good you guys taste really good with some pineapple with the guava everything in there really nice we have some pineapple slices we have some cherries and i have some cloves and i have the toothpick to hold them in i use the dough pineapple slices and i use just a regular glazed cherries you can find them in the supermarket okay all right so so here we go so now we're gonna okay so here i am found a better knife as i said don't go too deep i don't want to go too deep so that i can hold the um the clothes the clothes in because if you go too deep then the clothes will go deep into it right where the or the pieces will fall apart yeah um something like that i score in this part's tricky i remember yeah it can be tricky because it all depends on the size of the ham or how the hem is and you don't want to go too deep because then you can't hold all the pieces together but just lightly some people some people take the skin off completely completely but we want we want the skin lift on for our ham okay okay all the flavors yeah but it doesn't mean that you won't have flavor if you don't have it because yeah it's a smoked ham it's it's smoked ham it's it's really a very tasty ham and it's double smoked double spoon and smoking mix makes the meat taste so much better when you smoke it yeah much much better i was thinking um the other day i was thinking of buying myself a smoker yeah because yeah so um yeah yeah so that we can smoke whatever meats we have let us know in the comments if you guys would like to see that yeah a nice smoker just that it takes takes uh uh uh at least five to eight hours i think to um to smoke something but you know if you're home and you're able to um to put it in overnight then by the next day you should have smoked meat right yeah so now we score it like you're gonna go that's the opposite way lightly though lightly there you want it to still be there or to stay on there yeah just cut this in half oh gosh guys do you hear that it just sounds delicious um smells delicious already and it's not even in the oven yet i'm just gonna do this part so this is what you call scoring i'm gonna lightly base it with my mixture first and then i'm gonna put all my pineapples my pineapple and my cherry and my cloves on it and then we're gonna be baking it in the oven my mouth right now for about half hour to an hour just to let it get all nice and glossy and shiny and yummy [Music] listen if you are not a pork person i should have told you from the beginning of the video exit the room just like you know because i know this really upsets some people but we're not here to make you upset no just go on to the next video my love go on to the next video because allah we were loved with him different strokes for different folks period okay period and it's okay for you not to want to eat it and it's okay it's okay for whatever reason yeah yeah but some people do and some people don't experience okay yeah this is for us we're gonna eat that ham okay so now we're gonna do we're gonna put the put the cloves in okay okay so i'm gonna put the cloves in all over all right you just poke them just poke them in yeah these little cloves this is the one that i'm using okay angel brand whole clothes i just put the clove gives it a really really nice flavor okay yes y'all that's fat over there i just poke it in wherever i can i mean some people do it really fancy and really really neat yeah but we're gonna be gobbling this in no time all right so we just make it as best as we can you know just so that i can bring it through darn good job mommy because the way this bad boy is dripping and crackling and and it hasn't even gone in the oven yet yeah just make this this clove just really makes it really really get a good flavor you you really like it when you when you put the clove in it the clove and the taste of the smoked ham just delicious just truly delicious delicious delicious and as we say if you don't like ham and you don't eat pork that's okay too yeah yeah you could maybe try it with a beef roast yeah or oh well if you smoke if you're smoking you can smoke your your roast or you know smoke some smoked turkey or however yeah maybe a turkey yeah nice smoked turkey that would be good too you know you just do whatever you like you know whatever you like you know this world we are all in this world and we do what we like right so it doesn't matter if you don't eat it it's okay yeah some people do and some people don't okay so here are the pineapples the old pineapples we have so i'm gonna put it just put it on the ham i'm gonna put a cherry in the middle okay ham uh pineapple cherry in the middle you can do more than one cherry then i'm gonna use this the um toothpick to hold that together fancy yeah okay put that there put another one there hold it together you're gonna be out of sticks woman yeah i have a whole box there okay and there right okay another pineapple another cherry another cherry put it there [Music] there you go there you go and then we'll get the toothpick and we'll hold it together hold it together yep yeah i'll grab a couple more you guys tell me in the comments how you feel about how this looks right now give me your honest opinion like if you're like holy crap what's going on put it down in the comments if you're like oh my gosh i need a piece of that ham put it down in the comments i want to know how you guys are feeling because i have so many emotions this ham is so delicious i know what my mother can do with the ham so you guys are the ones that are being persuaded right now but i don't need any more persuading wow it looks pretty okay and now i'm gonna put some more of my glaze over it over it and then i'm just gonna put it in the oven and we're gonna bake it for about half an hour to an hour and we will pop in and look at it and just re-glaze again okay now that is a ham now that is a holiday ham okay so now we're gonna put it in the oven we're not gonna cover it or anything we're just gonna put it in the oven and let let it bake i'm ready okay okay so the the oval was preheated at 350 350 okay it's at 350 and i'm gonna be put it putting it into the oven okay so we'll be looking at it every so often and rebase it okay until it gets that shiny glazed look and mommy poured the rest of the pineapple juice yeah but into the bottom of the pan yeah which i thought was really cool i didn't catch that but that was really cool yeah well that's cool so we're gonna see so we these this is the extra glaze so we're gonna be um when we open again then we're gonna put some more of this glaze on it and get it all shiny and just beautiful and soaking in that uh yeah okay all right all right you guys back in a sec okay people i'm just gonna give a uh a little check to see what's going on what's going on in here [Music] moly yeah and i'm gonna just base it again okay i'm gonna go with the stuff that's on the bottom here i'm gonna base it the stuff is like caramelizing a bit in the bottom there this looks so good guys if you could smell this oh my gosh you already know what i'm gonna say you look your 10th finger on your tent [Music] oh my gosh wow i'm going to use some more of the the glaze that i made i'm gonna put it on it i actually turned up the oven to 375 so that we can get that brown look yeah i was just asking mommy what we're gonna eat this with tonight because we're making it early for you guys so that you guys can get ready to make it for the holidays but we might be eating this with some rice and peas today so good okay all right and back into the oven she goes okay there we go mommy you're doing an exceptional job yeah yep and see i'm cooking some pigeon peas gongoo peas rice and peas may use some of the ham water in it cheese oh put some coconut milk in at it so a lot of mercy [Laughter] oh yes it look scotch bunny pepper there just to give it a nice flavor put some scallion and some thyme in it whoa it's gonna be good yep okay guys here we are here we are it's almost done here almost done i think i just needed to be a little bit more brownie on the pineapples okay okay one side here started a little bit of caramelize and burning here yeah so good science yeah so coming together yeah let me use the rest of the um oh we're topping it off with the glaze rest of the glaze here and this is our second check you guys so it's been in there for approximately half an hour now about 35 minutes actually and so how much longer do you think for me and so we um i'll give it another 15 minutes or so another 15 minutes then we get to taste test y'all okay all right all right all right here we go we're gonna see [Music] whoa [Music] whoa this is amazing this in the hand this is our final it's coming out right yep we're gonna take it out okay i'm ready just basting it with some of these juices [Music] guys this is crazy smells so good i know it's gonna taste good i'm so excited let me do it up here so you don't have to bend yeah okay all right let's do this careful okay let
