hello everybody my name is t the human today I want to teach you guys how to add a mod menu like this now I have my own game right here all set and ready to go and if you want a mod menu like this that's kind of like cuses which has um UI instead of being an actual mod like a block a cube a rectangle whatever you want to call it so yeah something like this so the requirements you'll need to have for this is is have texmas Pro have XR and have at least a few mods to mess around with like platforms Ghost Monkey your long arms so yeah let's get right into it so here we have my game we have a mod menu right here ignore that I was using that for something else but step one you're going to go here to the little plus button go over to XR and you're going to see UI canvas this is what we need click UI canvas and set where World render mode to World space as long as it's on that you're good to go now now you're going to want to right click canvas go over to UI and you're going to want to click panel now you'll have this giant box but we don't want a giant box so shrink this down a bit and you'll have something like this if you do it correctly and then you can scale this up and make it like how you would like it to look then you can give it colors you can change it transparency you can do all that cool stuff but once we're done with this we actually need to decorate the mod menu and actually make it look interesting so we're going to go over to UI go over to text and you as long as you have text Miss Pro this should appear now that you have new text it should say new text you can call this like mod menu and we can just put this right here H put this right here and like that now you have the first part but now we actually have to add buttons now I'm not going to add too many buttons for this cuz this is just an example but you're going to go you're going to right click panel like always right click it UI and add a button text M Pro now you're going to put it down like this scale it down a bit and now you'll have a button like this now once we're done having this button we're going to set this to like for example the mod you want to use is platforms there we go platforms now once you're done with that you can go ahead and that's basically all you have to do the first part at least now there's also a few settings you can mess around with like highlighted color could be kind of pinkish red and then press color could be like a red and like that there you go that's the first step now we're actually I'm actually going to teach you how to add a function to enable the mod now step one is to make a create an empty game object and call this like mods and I'm going to add a one to the end of it because I already have um a mod system create another empty because like platforms and then you could like add a mod to it for example I'll use platforms platforms and no I will not be sharing the script but I will be working on sharing the script later so yeah all right so let me just set this up left so for example left hand right hand there you go now you going to want to disable this so that it won't give everybody platforms and then go back to your canvas where this button click plus it'll say on click right here by the bottom next to the material say on Click Click A Plus and you'll see this now keep it at runtime only but go over to your mods thing put platforms and no function should be click it you'll see this list go to game object and click set active now you'll see this now if you want to turn off platforms keep it blank you want to turn on platforms put a check and you can basically do that for every single mod it's like an enable disable script if it was more advanced now that you have this you could literally name it anything I'll name it mod menu and once you're done with that that's the first step but that isn't everything we need to do in fact that's only scratching the surface we as we also have to add a um interaction manager now as long as you have XR this should all work out but first up have a mod menu and second of all you're we're going to go over to a right hand and you need to have the following two first go over to your ad component search up XR interaction manager and you should get something right here XR man interaction manager it's already added for me but no need to mess around with global filters and then the last thing you also want add is an xray interactor right here xray interactor I already have this but add xray interactor and you should have this now where it says interaction manager you can click this let me see rightand controller click it and where it says and where it says right here where it says raycast configuration line type put it to projectile curve so it will curve around but it'll still be able so that way you can click the menu easier so yeah that's basically all you have to do not yet though actually we still have to do one more thing all right so take your mod menu and put it in whatever controller you want now you're going to want to rotate this mod menu but here's a catch maybe your controllers like all over the place you won't know yet so we're going to go over into the game uh let this load but we're g to go over into the game all right and you should you should load it now my offline rig's broken right now I'm working on fixing it so let's wait for Photon to unload what the dog doing also ignore the Cosmetic um if we move right here go to Left Hand controller will go right here and then right hand controller will go right here let me go like move this up or something all right now you should see your mod menu now where you see wherever your mod menu game object UI is you're going to move it to where your hand is now you have to have Photon or else you won't be able to like see your menu but put it like about here and then put it wherever your hand is like that and there you go now once you're done with that that's not going to actually uh apply so you're going to go over to the three dots in the corner copy don't do position with world or else it will just go right here forever go to position now that you're here now that you've done that go over here go to your re transform on the UI canvas paste position and like that you should have it in wherever wherever you're left hand controller actually is all right and to teach you how this works really quickly basically let me just let this load but basically what will happen is we'll have a Ray Caster from our hands that will go right to our mod menu now once you've done that once you have like everything all set to go uh what the dog doing you should have a right now take your rightand controller move it here or take your left-and controller and move it here now basically what a ray cast is is just this line that'll render certain things but if we just put this here right hand controller [Music] here move this up and right here you should see when you do this you get close to the menu it should turn red right now isn't working for me cuz I'm using a separate thing so it won't syn but it will turn red it'll turn red once you're done and once it turns red what will happen you need to make sure you need to click your trigger like this click your trigger once it's red and that'll enable the mod I can't do this cuz I don't have a trigger simulation script but you will and yeah that's basically the end of the tutorial for today at least uh I will if you want more tutorials in this then make sure to comment down below uh this is the first tutorial actually done so it may not be the best but yeah so that's basically how you add AI type stuff like cus and see your game all right
