(dramatic musical thudding) ♪ Even better than I was the last time, baby ♪ ♪ Oo, oo, oo, oo, ♪ ♪ We back, I'm good, oo ♪ What's up Jaeteam, welcome back to my channel (speaking in foreign language) - [Male Computer] Brad. - Alexa, nobody was talking to you. - [Alexa] Sorry, I thought I heard my name. - No, you didn't. But anyways, today I'm going to be making pizza, homemade pepperoni pizza. I might throw a little bit of jalapenos on that mug, too. So I believe I have enough cheese and pepperoni for this, but of course, we gotta double check. Let's see here, I still don't have a light. Pepperonis, let's check the date on here. Man, they just expired. Oo, I do have some cheese. Man, it's expired. Oh my gosh this is bad. (popping) I'm having a hard time finding the yeast. I'm back home. I got the good ole setup. This is the old setup right here. This is the quality setup. So, the first thing I'm going to do is the crust. It's the most important part. You have to make the dough. Today I'm going to be making it for the first time from scratch. So, let's go ahead and attempt. I'm pretty sure it'll be easy though. You're gonna need flour, sugar, olive oil, extra virgin olive oil to be exact, salt, and warm water. That's what you're gonna need for this crust. First thing's first, you need to activate the yeast. It's very important. But, before that, we are going to put the sugar inside of the warm water. We're gonna dissolve it first. Once it's fully dissolved, put the yeast on top. Now, we're gonna wait about 10 minutes. This is my first time ever doing this, but I do know that you wanna make sure that it is activated, and the only way to know that is if the foam is on top. So, we gonna just wait. Wow, it actually has a smell. I never knew exactly what yeast smelled like until now. Once your yeast is done pour it into a larger bowl. By the way, if you have instant yeast, which I think I did. (popping) Then I add in my salt, and I'm gonna add in my extra virgin olive oil. Two cups of all purpose flour. I'm gonna start off with this spatula, and then I'm gonna use my hands just because. I do have nails. I kinda don't wanna get too messy with this. So, I'm basically using this spatula as if it's my fingers, and eventually gets kinda thick. Eventually it's gonna roll into a nice ball. (text message sound) Who is that? And, once that's done I'm now going to use my hands which this is my pizza, therefore I can use my hands. Thank you. This is what you call kneading. Hopefully I'm doing it right. (grooving music) And, you wanna drop it in there and let it rise. Make sure to cover it up. (popping) Time to make the pizza sauce. Yes, we are making it from scratch. I'm about to show you how easy it is. (popping) (slow grooving music) Go ahead and add in your tomato paste. This is very important because, I mean hello, this is the pizza sauce basically, in a nutshell. Oooh. Add in some water. And, you're basically just going to cook it down. I'm gonna add in some onion powder. Oregano leaves. I'm also gonna add some basil leaves. Give it a nice stir. Definitely gonna add some salt which is very important. I don't know, I think that's too much. I'm very careful with the amount of salt that I add in food because high blood pressure is a real thing, and it runs in my family. And, make sure to taste it. This is your biggest job when cooking is to taste your food. If you taste your food then you'll know it tastes good. You don't have to just tell someone hey, taste my food, and it tastes nasty. You could say taste my food, and feel confident about them tasting the food 'cause you taste your food and you like your food. Let's see. Hmmmmmm. It's good. It does need a tad bit more salt. I think I'm gonna throw some cayenne pepper up in here, give it a little heat. I might add a little bit more water. Like I said, this is all in the preference. So, I'm gonna go ahead and put my little twang up on this thing until it's perfect. I'm gonna add in little bit of sugar 'cause I do like a little sweetness, but like I said, I don't like that sweet, sweet sauce. And, some of ya'll know what I'm talking about. If you add sugar to your spaghetti, or to your potato salad, or to your grits, then you are probably gonna want your pizza sauce a little sweet. But, I think I added just enough sweetness in this. But, just to make sure. I did that! You can either turn it off, or put it on low heat. Honestly, you know what? Turn it off 'cause I don't think it's supposed to be hot when you apply it to the dough. So, just take it off the burner, and let's go ahead and look at our dough. So, right now I'm actually gonna do the test, and it's basically when you poke it if it puffs back slowly, then it is ready. If not, you're kinda just screwed, honestly. You can let if pouf for a little bit longer, but it just means that you probably didn't make the perfect dough, and that's okay because you don't need the perfect dough in order to make a homemade pizza. Not unless you have a restaurant, or for other people, you get it. Oooooh! Look at it. Okay. It's poppin' back. That's a good sign. Uh oh, I see a bubble. I don't know what that's about. Oh well. Go ahead and put some flour down. Now, listen, this is my counter, this is a granite counter. It's clean. If you are not comfortable with using your counter for whatever reason, then don't use it. Make sure your hands are nice and ashy. There's the dough. And, now I'm gonna be using my knuckles 'cause like I said I have nails so it's not really ideal to be dealing with this with nails. So, I'm just going to just make a nice little shape with my knuckles. Now I think it's okay. Just take your time with this. Slowly spread it out. Oooh, look at me! (slow grooving music) You know what? Let's do this technique. The stretching technique. So, I'm gonna take a pizza pan, and I'm gonna put some cornmeal on it. (upbeat marimba music) Alright. Oh boy, if I master this, my man gonna be happy. He loves pizza. Oooh, if I get this dough right, oooooh your girl gonna get that ring. I be joking, ya'll. I don't know if ya'll be taking me too seriously. K, that's as good as it's gonna get. If I keep on messing with it, who knows? Ooooooh! That might have been too much, but we will see. Okay. Spread it out. Also, make sure to go ahead and preheat your over to, I have it on 450. (upbeat grooving music) I got the, I guess you can consider it like the thicker cheese. You can kinda tell. It's not like that thin shredded one, but I feel like this is gonna just give me that cheese I'm looking for, you know? (upbeat grooving music) And, now for the pepperonis. I love pepperonis. Probably should've washed my hand. I've got some flour up on there. (package crinkling) Whoooo! I might wanna double stack these things. (upbeat grooving music) (laughs loudly) I'm really eatin' the cheese off this. I'm hungry. Now, it's time to pop this in, and let it cook. (video game sound) Oooooh Cheryl. Look at that. Quickly look under it. It is like perfect. Now, I'm hoping that the middle is done. I left it in there for 15 minutes which should be enough time. Look what I did momma. Look what I did. Look what I did. It's time to cut into this. (cutter clicking) Ooooh, look at that cheese. Oh, my lord. Ooooooh! (cutter clicking) Time to eat. Dear lord, please bless this food, and let it be nourishment to my body. In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Whooo! Look at this. Look at that. Look at that. Look at that. Add a few more pepperonis up on here. Nobody else ain't eatin' this. Hmmmm. Hmmmm. What's Domino's Pizza Hut? I don't know Pizza Hut. I've never heard of it. Little Cesar's Pizza. Mmmm, I don't know about that. Hmmmm. Listen, I did that, okay? I did that. If you enjoyed this video make sure to give me a like, and if you want me to cook something else let me know below.
