How To Green Screen in CapCut (2021 Tutorial)

in today's video i'm going to be walking you guys step by step on how to add green screen effects within the cap cut video editing app now this video is more specifically on how to add green screen effects from youtube and be able to remove the green screen within the cap cut app if you're looking to learn how to set up a green screen and light it this is not the video i have a link to a really great video down below it shows you how to set up a green screen and light it but this is more specifically on how to take effects from youtube like subscribe buttons and alien effects and stuff like that and be able to remove the green screen from those videos within cap cuts you have awesome effects within your videos and there's actually two ways you can get those green screen youtube videos added to your photo gallery the first option is to just download one of those youtube download video apps from the app store but the second option which is what i do is i just use a screen recorder so i'll start the screen recorder app and then i will watch the video that has the green screen effect stop my screen recorder and then i just edit the video down so i just have that green screen clip that can be added to my timeline but whichever way you do it to get that video into your photo gallery that's all that matters and once you do that now let's jump into cap cut and i'll show you how to apply the chroma key effect all right so here we are within the cap cut app uh so what i'm going to do is click overlay add overlay and it's going to take me into my videos here's my green screen video actually already trimmed it within my photo gallery so i won't need to do any trimming so it's going to add that there give it a second all right the green screen video has been added i noticed there's this black line on top so what i'm actually going to do is click edit crop i'm going to bring it down a little bit so that way there's nothing but the green screen on my video and then what we're going to do is back up we are going to click on the chroma key option there put it over the green like so turn up the intensity which uh i will say cap cuts green screen chroma keyer isn't the strongest but we'll turn up the intensity check and now let's see what happens when we click play looks great i don't see any green screen there the effect worked perfect now that's how you add a green screen effect within cap cut if you want to learn some more advanced features within the cap cut video editor check out this video right here i walk through a lot of advanced editing tips that you can use with this within this editor uh and i'll hopefully see you guys over there thanks for watching
