hey I'm here with a different kind of video today I know that I often do regular real estate videos but this one's a bit different I'm a realtor but I'm a homeowner and as homeowners know when you own a home you got to fix things and you got to deal with things and you got to take care of your property so I ran into a little issue and instead of running off and paying for someone to fix it I figured out how to do it myself and I thought I would throw it a little video just to show everyone sometimes it's easy to figure things out for yourself and to take care of your own stuff and save some money and learn as you go homeownership learning all the time hope you enjoy the video okay so I'm having some lawnmower problems it starts but it won't keep running and I'm going to show you how to fix that today and I'll show you first what my problem is here [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] starts and stalls right away I'll show you how to fix it okay so the first thing you want to do is pinch off the gas line and I used a adjustable wrench and some clamps to do that but you can use vise grips or another kind of clamp but you just want to make sure the pinch off the gas line and disconnect the spark plug okay that's going to make sure that you don't get yourself hurt playing with gas and fire so what we're going to do here is we're going to take off this little guy right here you can see and underneath it there's a little half-inch nut and that's the bowl not that's the bowl for the carburetor as you can see it's kind of dirty but that's we're going to get into a take off so I'll pull that off and then and then show you what it looks like we're going to just take our half inch driver here wrench and get that off okay so I'll come back on here and show you what happens after that comes off so I just removed it and you can see here that we have is a little nut inside here that is what we want to look at so we're going to pull that knot out just wipe it down a little bit here you're going to see on this nut that there's a little hole right there right there and see that or not and one there and we're just going to clean it real quick with a wire that I have here I'll show you that first video of our main book cut the wire the summertime in a locket so we got this little wire I'm just going to clean out this little nut just by poking it through there making sure it's all the way through see that right make sure it's clean it actually looks pretty clean so I'm not really hundred percent certain there'll be a solution to the problem we're going to clean with the bowl a little bit so I'm just going to put this down I'm just going to give this to full of at three minutes that I only get any dirt in it so I'm gonna try to clean the outside of the first of these rags and just there's no dirt in there make sure I get a good seal on it afterwards install any dirt in there it'll be perfectly clean there you have it crystal clean so I'm going to just take a quick look at the gasket on there then I'm going to pop this back on and we'll give it a shot see in there this guy what's called a full valve so I'll actually wipe that down as well with a rag just to make sure there's no dirt in there the gasket looks good but it's a bit dirty up top so we'll just try to clean it off a little bit and then get it put back together and see what happens oh one more thing I already changed the spark plug and air filter to make sure it was only so that's good I'll be back in a second so then lastly what we're going to do here I've connected it back as you can see there put that back and I'm going to disconnect the fuel line and then put the spark plug back on as you can see it's got a flexible hose so a little problem to clamp it off let's take this back up we're all connected here and there's good and I'm going to give it a shot let's see
