so here's the scenario you've purchased a professionally digitized design you've run it on your machine and you didn't quite get the results that you were hoping for now at that point you're asking yourself was it me did I not hoop it properly did I use the wrong stabilizer was there something I missed or was it the digitizing well if you've ever found yourself in that situation type in yes that's me in the comments below now I'm John Deere from John Deere's embroidery legacy and today and embroidery medic we're going to look at a design that was sent to me that definitely needs a few modifications and changes now you can see this design on the screen and it's a cute little Christmas elf but there's some stitches that look like they're looping there's a lot of registration problems and to be honest it just wasn't digitized that well now I promised myself one thing I will not read it eyes this design I will not read it eyes I seem to say that on every segment of embroidery medic that I do and I'm not going to read digital a design I'm going to take a look at the design I'm going to make some changes I'm going to do some edits and hopefully we'll get some better results simply by knowing the rules of stitches and what to change so stay tuned [Music] well I think you're gonna want to put on your seatbelts for this one because this is gonna be pretty fast and furious I've called in this design and the first thing I'm gonna do is turn on my grid I know that it's set to one centimeter as far as the grid is concerned so that's ten millimeters because I want to assess how long these objects are and I can see that to be honest these objects are well over seven millimeters on most of them if I click on any of these objects and lets us actually turn our true view off and I highlight that and I go over to my stitch effects and do an auto split I can see first of all it changed this stitch type this is not an object based file this is actually a file that was digitized in another program but any of these that I go in and try to change I can see that it's automatically you know putting a split stitch in there which tells me that it's going well over seven millimeters now for something this size it really is I guess on the the verge of you know not wanting to make too many changes with that stitch type as soon as I turn this into a fill stitch something like that it's gonna change the appearance of the design so I'm gonna try to fix it with underlay now let's just get everything back to where it was I'm going to turn off my auto split I look at the sequence view here on the side and I can see the order in which these objects were actually digitized and I'll probably start to fix them in that order it actually doesn't look too bad it's got some logical pathing and how they actually went through and chose all of the colors but if I look at this there is you know so many wrong choices as far as underlay is concerned and that's probably one of the things I'm gonna really want to try to fix I might actually go in and you know change some of these areas as well I can see that there is a gap here which I don't need I can tell there's gonna be gapping within the design and a bunch of places because there's really not enough overlap in so many areas so let's get to it first thing I'm gonna do is I'm going to look at my objects and I can see that these objects here are actually broken into two because this is not an object based file I can also see a lot of little traveling stitches going on here and to be honest the first thing to do is get rid of some of these travel stitches and let's just hold the ctrl key down and I'll grab a bunch of these all at the same time and let's just get rid of all those that I see right there so I just need a trade of all of that then I'm gonna continue to come in here and you know I might as well just get rid of almost all the underlay in this design because none of it is really making any sense whatsoever so I'm just going to go through here clean up these objects that one I'm gonna leave this one I'm going to actually grab and I know I'm gonna have to change start and stop points this is going to be a pretty extensive edit by the time I'm done but again I'm not going to be reducing the entire design which is a good thing as well so as I go through that little tiny one geez you know I'm gonna get rid of that one as well let's just get rid of that traveling stitch and then let's go over here and I'm gonna add my own traveling stitches after the fact but when I look at all of these they're just making very little sense and it's gonna be much easier for me to go in and fix this all up manually after the fact so this is really the first step is just going in here and cleaning up everything that I saw that was pretty much bad now if I look at this fill which is and actually let's get rid of all that underlay this underlay here it's a little hard to see so I'm gonna actually just move it off of the object itself if you can see it underneath of here that underlay is going the exact same direction as the fill so it's really not serving any purpose whatsoever so let's get rid of that one as well so now and I have one more little stray stitch right here no idea where that was coming from let's delete that so now I can see I have all of my original objects pretty much I've gotten rid of all that redundant traveling stitches I'm gonna grab these two together and what I'm gonna do is I'm going to go into my digitizing tools and then I'm going to go to my edit objects and I'm going to tell it to weld these two together and that really helped because it brought these into one object and if I look at the stitch direction the stitch direction to be honest I'm going to go in here and I'm going to change us ever so slightly just like that because I need to add some overlap in these areas let's just zoom into this here and I can see that there is a gap right here so let's just change that one altogether let's change this one altogether this one's actually looking kind of okay but I'm just going to grab this piece again and let's just move this one this way this one over here let's create a little bit of points that are going to come out here and separate these ever so slightly okay so now I have that one done and now I'm going to go down to the bottom of the object and the exact same thing I'm going to grab this bring it down here create a little bit more overlap so that it is going to give me better results now if I look at this now I can see one object I've changed the angle so it's no longer going to separate in those two areas but I'm going to come in here to my underlay and I'm gonna turn on my underlay stitches and I do want a to Tommy underlay which is going to separate that stitch spacing is fine and let's turn on an edge run the edge run is going to give me a clean line around the edges and that's gonna help with the quality of the design right there it's gonna really help to you know make things a little bit better now if I look at my start and stop and I look at my next object my next object is here so in between these two and this is where I have to you know come in and do a little bit of remembering where my objects are I'm just going to go to my digitize tools and I'm gonna grab a digitize open shape and let's just go into a three hundred percent scale so I can actually let's go to 600 so I can navigate around this design properly and I can see that right between these two is my connector and this connector here to this object here so what I'm going to do is I'm just going to digitize open shape and I'm going to put a point with a running status just from here to here so that I connect those two and then I'm going to also go down to the very bottom because I know that's where it's gonna drop it I'm gonna make it the same color as the original objects so I just grab that same color and then I'm going to move it right up in the sequence view and I'm gonna put it right in between those two so if I just you know pan up this might take a second just to pan up but this is going to reduce a trim in between these two objects and that's exactly what I want to do there so if I look at this one hit the H key I can see that there's the start and there's the stop let's make sure that I stop right there then on this one I hit the H key and I can see here is my start down here and here's my stop and that way I have a travel between the two then when I go to my next object and I can see that this is actually 0.45 I can actually change this to 0.4 add a little bit more density should I subscribe this point four zero add a little bit more density and if I look at this object here as well I let's see here let's just zoom into this area a little bit so I hit the B zoom in and I'm gonna try to change some of these angles ever so slightly just so that I can make sure that they don't actually separate and I'll just grab this one here this one here and just try to get that a little bit better off right like that so now I've changed those angles I have point four I'm gonna go over to my underlay let's make sure that I do a zigzag I can have a five millimeter zigzag that means it's going to drop a stitch every 5 millimeters apart from each other so it's going to secure that area down and then I'm going to put an edge run around the edge so I have a zigzag with an edge run and that's going to give me much better results in that object right there now when I look at the next object from here over to here I need to make sure that I travel there as well so let's go back to our color here let's escape from there I'm going to go back to this point right here and choose a digitized object I'm gonna put a point right over here here and just come right into this point where I see it there I hit enter and now I'm going to go back down to the bottom to my colors and let's see that last object that I created and it is going to be black so I'm gonna grab that and make it red as well I can go back up to my colors if I want I can just drag this one as the first object and my colors so let's just go up to there now if I drop down to objects I can see that it's the first one in place and I'm going to just pull it down here so that it's in between and then same thing I'm going to zoom in real quick and I'm going to look at this object there's enough overlap in here and there is my stop position right over here and then I'm going to tab to the next one I'm going to make sure that it starts down here and it stops over there and then it goes into the next object and here I'm going to make sure that it goes and I'm going to basically start over here so I get rid of that trim and that jump so the start and stop are back at the end so now when I look at that object that I just had there I have again if I go on to my auto spacing I'm going to change this to point four it's at point three six right now but it really it's a little bit overkill I'll go to point four change the density of that and then I'm going to go over to my stitch I have my edge run and let's actually do this as a zigzag first the zigzag is going to actually hold down the area of the design and then the edge run will hold it my break wall into place now the only thing I need to do is come in here and add a little bit more overlap so I can grab these nodes and just pull them slightly over into that object so that they are going to actually and did not like that but that's good enough that way I've added a little bit of compensation there going into the next object and I can tell that the next one down after this one is this piece here so now I'm going to want to run back into this piece if I look where it starts and stop it starts at the bottom it stops at the top so that means that I'm going to come back to my digitizing tools let's zoom into this a little bit and I'm going to choose my digitize open shape and I'm going to start right here and let's just go over a pose the stitch direction and travel right down to that object right there and I'm going to come back down here grab that last one and make it a different color let's go back to our colors I'm going to drag it up to the first color again and then I'm going to drop down my objects and I'll place this right in between the two right here so that I have my traveling stitch so now I know it ends here it starts right here let's hit the H key I want my start point to be right over and I can grab this one right here with the hand move that one from here stop to there and that way I know that I have a travel between those and it got rid of the jump now when I grab this object again let's change this to point 4 hit enter and add it a little bit more density to that satin stitch I'm going to go over to my underlay turn on my zigzag turn on my edge run and now I'm going to have an edge run with a zigzag that's going to go through to the next object and as I move through this I'm just basically looking at all of these objects so I'm trying to make sure that I have enough overlap as I go into the next piece the next piece that I have right here it stops here and it's going to start I believe right over here so let's just take a look at where these objects go from so here I just finished that one it's going to go up into this object right up here at the very very top so that's the object that it's doing next so I'm definitely going to want to make sure that I between those two so from here over to here it looks like it stops all the way at the top so let's go over here and I'm going to do the same thing let's grab my digitized tools my digitized open shape I'm going to click right over here I know that I can travel underneath of these stitches because I haven't done anything yet so it's not a problem to travel between this and I don't want to necessarily have to change all of the order of my starts and stops so if I place that in there go down to the bottom grab that make it a different color turn off my colors put this at the very beginning of the design drop down my objects again and then I'm going to make sure that I grab this object and I'm going to put it in the right order which is going to be right here between those two that'll take me to my next object I have my start up here but I want to make sure that I reverse the order so that it travels properly and then when I look at this next object here I want to make sure that I look at the spacing I have a satin spacing and I'm gonna change that to point four millimeters hit the enter I'm gonna hit the underlay make sure that I have not it to Tommy but I want a zigzag again so I'm going to make sure that I click on zigzag I'm gonna make sure that I have a edge run so it's nice and clean I want to hit the H key to adjust the nodes and I'm definitely going to come in here and adjust some of these nodes for overlapping make sure that that one's underneath of here if I look at the top one same thing let's take a look here and hit the T button that one overlaps just enough so I think I should be okay there but I definitely want to bring this here and I'm going to grab these nodes right here and if I click and drag it'll grab those two and I can just very very quickly add some extra space now if I want to I could adjust the overlap here I simply bring this one right here and here and make sure that that has little bit extra overlap so there I have that one done let's turn on the true view you can see that it's starting to come together the next object that I have what I'm doing is this tiny little object right over here and I can see that it actually goes from this point to this point okay I don't think that I need to travel there let's turn off that for a second but I'm going to grab this one and I'm going to do the same thing go to my stitch effects change it to point 4 millimeters which is standard density hit the enter button then I'm going to hit the H key I'm going to make sure that I exaggerate some of my pull compensation because there's really no pull compensation I can tell that's going to probably split apart so I can grab all of these nodes at the same time and then as I grab these nodes I'm going to drop them down into the next object and then I just have to go in and again put my zigzag put my edge run and there is my next object done I can see that it actually has a start and a stop point and there does look like there's a trim that's going on there so I will need to make sure that I go back to my digitized objects I'm going to make sure I put a point right from here to here hit enter go down to the bottom of my list grab that last object make it a different color go back to my colors within the object and again drag it up to the first color and then go to objects and drag it down in the sequence where I want it to be so I'm basically looking at all the objects that I fixed so this is going to go between these two right here and then if I look at this one this one's going to be touching there's a start and a stop I could actually have this one if I hit the H and the stop is right here I can change the the stop over to here maybe and that way it's going to give me this next object right here now this is a part that I really don't like I do not like this gapping in the stitches I really don't think that needs to be there I'm going to hit this one and to be honest I'm just gonna grab a bunch of these stitches and I'm just going to delete all of those together just like that then I can come in here grab this point grab this point make sure it has overlap and then I can grab this one make sure that it goes down into the next object just like that and like that in like this and that way it's going to still keep on turning it's set at point four millimeters go over to my underlay put a zigzag put an edge run and then that one should be actually fine so there I have no jumps or trims between that let's see where I am now I'm right here I have my underlay in there I have my edge run and then the next object it does is right here there needs to be a traveling stitch between these two it's really walking through the sequence and seeing how you're gonna get from one object to the other so again let's go to digitize I'm just gonna very quickly go right from here to over here where I see that joining stitch I'm gonna go down to the bottom of my list if I head on actually it should be on objects if we go to the bottom of my list it's the black object that was created I turned it into a red object the same color as everything that I'm working on and then again I'm just gonna drag it up into the sequence now this is the main part of the body of the design so I think once we get through this we should be you know a little bit quicker editing the rest of the design let's go all the way down here and I'm going to join right in between these two shapes and the H start and stop is good go into the next object to change this to point four and let's backspace hit enter and if I then go to my stitching again underlay we need a zigzag and we also need a edge run so let's do edge run then that one's done right there and if I do want to come in let's go here I gotta go up a little bit I do want to look at the I guess the overlap of that make sure that I drain this so that it's right under there like that I'll change that to a straight point if I look at this part of the design that all looks good that looks good everything else is fine except for that one piece and then if I go to the next object I have one more to do so this is actually pretty much done let's grab this object again I'm going to make sure that I have a zig zag with an edge run put on that way it's going to give me something to hold down that large area and give me an edge run that's going on there as well go over to my stitching change it from point four five two point four out a little bit more density and now if I click on this one hit the H key I can see that it stops right there I actually want it to stop over here instead and then I'm going to grab this object and I'm going to let's go back review a little bit the start is up here I don't want it to start there I want it to start right here so that I get rid of that trim it's stopping down here one last thing I'm going to do this looks okay up at the top here but I'm going to go right down to here and zoom in so that I create a better underlap on that object that's going to be going directly into the next one so I'm just gonna move this one right over to here and let's change the stitch direction as well just so it does something like that and that way it's not gonna curve quite as much as shortens down the stitches a little bit and now I think I have the first color in the design done I have the appropriate under underlay if I want to actually just to try to reduce the stitch length of this a little bit let's go into this object here at the H and I'm just going to move that down ever so slightly in this one up ever so slightly just so that it doesn't create quite as long of a stitch you're not really going to notice that but I think it's still gonna look a lot cleaner than having that big long you know thick object there it's going to actually sew more consistently with the rest of the design now that the main part of the body is done let's look at the next object within the sequence and I'm just going to turn on the off the TrueView and I'm going to come right over here zoom into this and let's go to objects and let's go down to the next color which is right over here and I have all these little pieces in here which to be honest I really don't know what they all are so I'm going to actually grab that object first off and let's make it a different color just for a second just so that I can see what all of this stuff is there we go now I can see sometimes if the color is obviously white on white it makes a lot harder to see those objects pretty much everything that's here to be honest from this point down to this one as far as I'm concerned is completely redundant so let's just get rid of it all and now if I look at this in true view I can see that there is enough underlap in there the stitch angle is kind of opposing if I actually I wouldn't really even change anything so I'm pretty happy with kind of how that looks the only thing that I'm going to make sure that I do is go in and turn on the appropriate underlay for that so let's just turn that off let's go to my underlay I want to make sure I have a tatami underlay and I will put a edge run because there is absolutely no you know satin borders around there so that's gonna actually help it to be a little bit cleaner and that is the next object pretty much done there is a tie out there but I know the software is going to do that automatically then when I start to look at these objects and here's okay that actually doesn't look too bad there is overlap in that one going to the next so let's just get rid of that underlay and I'm going to turn this color back to the white so now I can see that it's actually underneath of there and it looks nice and clean so let's just come here do this object I'm going to make sure that I turn on and run underlay because that's really all I need for that object let's hit the H and if I want to I could grab all of these points hold the ctrl key down if I grab all the points on one side then it's gonna make it much easier for me to actually move all the elements of this design so I can just move all those up at one time add a little bit more overlap and now I can see that it's going into the rest of the objects here I'm going to go back in and I'm going to basically get rid of all of this redundant underlay so let's just get rid of that I'm gonna come in here and look at these objects let's hit the H key and I see all kinds of points here I'm just gonna grab all of those delete them I'm gonna grab all of these and hopefully delete most of these in one pop and get rid of this one and get rid of this one as well so now in reality if I look at this I'm gonna look at my previous point I got rid of all of the holes there were actually holes in those eyes before and I took that got rid of the hole so when I look at this object let's hit the H it's going to stop right over here and then if I look at this next object right here it's going to at the H key it's going to start right over here and that way hopefully I won't have any trims or jumps and then it's going to stop and let's turn off the true view and hit the H key again so there's my start my stop is right over here and let's see where this goes next I have all kinds of trims and jumps here no idea why that's happening so let's just grab this one let's grab this one and one two three and I think I accidentally duplicated it but that's fine so really here is where I'm going to grab here I'm going to make sure that when I do have my stop I stop is going to stop right over here in this part of the ear so that it is going to touch the next object that way there won't be any trims and jumps let's look at the density here it's at point five I'm going to actually change that density to point four hit enter I'm gonna put an edge run underlay on the object and let's just go here to edge run there's an edge run on there then it's going to do all of these little points again there's all of these little objects that don't need to be there let's go to my point five five I'll do this one at point four five I don't need quite as much density but I do want to make sure that I look at the underlay and let's just go here to the underlay and we'll grab an edge run underlay as well so there's our edge run and if I go back to this object here I'm just going to zoom in a little bit and I'm gonna make sure that I hit the H key and let's bring this right underneath the ear just like that and if I look at this one here the start and stop there's my start right over here and let's see where the start and stop is there's a stop right there so this actually should go through without any trims or jumps and that should be actually pretty good then it continues on in the design and it comes in and does this tiny little nose so I know there's gonna be a jump and trim between those but that's okay and I'm going to grab that one and let's just make sure that I turn on a center run underlay I really don't need an edge run so I'll just make sure there's a center run in there and then I'm going to turn off the true view I can see that there is a jump from there to there and that should be fine that shouldn't be a problem so let's just take that actually if I did want to get really sticky here's the thing I am gonna actually change that there really doesn't need to be a jumper trim in-between that it's so small I could hide those stitches and I'm just going to take my digitizing tools I'm going to start right here go down and make sure that I walk in the same direction just something like this [Music] and that right now is black you can see the black going through there and I'm gonna go down to the bottom I'm gonna grab that object I'm gonna make it the same color as the face and I'm gonna go back to my colors I'm gonna grab this one here move it right up right into here at the top of the sequence go to my objects drop it down so I get to the face there I can see that I just want this to travel right in between those two just like that and now when I look at this if I look at this point here at the H I'm gonna make sure that i zoom in a little bit just so I can see it there's my start here's my stop I'm gonna make sure I change that and this part here here is my start right over here here's my stop and then this point right here there's my start and there's my stop so I got rid of all of my jump stitches in there it actually does that entire color and there's nothing really to obstruct it then when I continue on let's just go right here and I'm going to go back to my colors and it's going to do these objects next now with these objects I'm just gonna zoom in really quickly and let's just grab this area so I can just see the face and turn the TrueView on and there's really actually to be honest if I take this back down to objects and go to this brown there's so many tiny little things in here that I could fix and for the most part I think it would stitch fine I'm just going to leave well enough alone the only thing I might is come into some of these objects let's hit the H key and I might come in and choose to grab let's say all of those I'm going to hold the ctrl and I'm going to unselect the bottom ones oops didn't want to do that let's try that again I'm just going to grab those unselect that one right there I will select this one and this one right here and I might move all of these up at the same time just ever so slightly and that way I know that it's going to adjust for some of that gapping that I see within that white I'm going to change that as well but this will be a good permit of measure to make sure that it's gonna help things along just a little bit let's add another node there and let's just grab this one and bring it up a little bit further like that and that way when I look at this in my true view I can see that it's already starting to assist a little bit with that area so as far as i concerned that is okay the next color is okay this color right here I'm going to go down to objects and see what we're dealing with so I got to go through all of my selected objects and if I start right over here I believe let's turn off the true view I can see that the mouth is one color and that one I think is fine I'm going to leave that one alone but this one right here this one I can see a whole bunch of crazy little stitches that are all over the place and let's just go that's that one so I'm going to leave the mouth alone so it's pretty much from this point on where I'm gonna go in and start to get rid of all of this redundant underlay and let's just get rid of that now if I look at this object and I move it up there like that all I think I really need to do is reshape this a little bit so that I reduce that gapping that's happening she let's change that one to a straight and that way it will give me a little bit better let's add another node right here just so that I can increase that ever so slightly let's bring this one down this one down and then I'm going to look at the fill stitch it's point four or five let's just change that to point four so I add a little bit more density and let's just add a tatami underlay with an edge run and that way it's gonna give me a clean edge and I think that should probably do it for there so now let's just take a look at that little object I can delete that one let's go back to our colors and I can see now that this object here I'm going to change that color really quickly just because it's gonna be harder to see and let's just move down okay so that's going to be white in there right now we've changed it to a turquoise I'm going to leave these little objects alone actually I probably could change those just to they don't need to be a fill stitch you'll probably change just these little objects right here so let's go down in the order and I can see that they're also kind of grouped together but let's try this let's change that to a satin stitch and it does not like duck there we go now change it let's grab this one hold the control key down and grab that one change the fill change to a satin that changed it to satin as well let's do manual density of 0.45 loosen up those stitches this one to manual density point four or five and I think that should be okay let's turn on the TrueView for a second just to see how that looks yeah that's not too bad okay so now if I look at this this is a little bit of a mess I have these two points right here I'm afraid to join these because of this kind of jagged edge thing that it has going on so rather than do that let's actually come right here I don't really need that and let's all these points right here get rid of those altogether there is a big long travel stitch between those two and then it does these crazy little things here that one is just a big long stitch all by itself so all I'm gonna do is come into this fill which is the first one and let's change the spacing to point four and see what happens and then let's change the spacing on this one two point four as well and see what happens that now it's pretty much the same let's turn this on to a true view and see what it looks like actually real quick okay it's actually a splice stitch so what we need to do is change that over to a satin we'll keep that as a splice and let's just grab that one looks okay let's grab this one hit the H key and I'm going to just adjust a few of these little nodes because they are just a little too crazy just any ones that I see that are exaggerated too much I'm going to delete a couple of them and that one down get rid of that one let's just get rid of that get rid of that bring this one down ever so slightly I still want to keep that jagged type of edge on there but I'm just reducing these a little bit so that it makes sure that things are being covered as it goes forward just something like that let's get rid of this get rid of this make some of these industries and if I look at this object here let's go to my underlay just want to make sure there is a Auto split is on I wonder what would happen if I did combine these two and we're just going to do a little experiment here I'm gonna weld these two together actually that doesn't look too bad and then actually I don't know if I like that this is all the fun part actually it looks a little bit better okay so now let's describe this one at the age and I'm just going to make sure that I get rid of that gap between the two I have a start there and a stop right over here I'm just gonna make sure that I have a zig-zag stitch I really don't want an edge run on there so zigzag is on go to the next object which is here I do not want an edge run so let's just turn that off but I do want to make sure that I have a zigzag on and that should be perfect for there so if I look at that it's definitely cleaned up a little bit that should be good let's take that color now and come down to here I believe and maybe it's here here here and let's just go right to here and let's go up to the top right to here and let's change that back to a white color so now let's turn the TrueView on so now if I look at these I have changed that attribute of the design I have the little pieces left let's go back to colors and I think the rest I can pretty much get away with this one here I'm just gonna delete that one altogether so I have the exact same sequence of colors but what I've done is I've gone in and I've changed pretty much all of the variables and really fine-tuned it so I'm not even gonna bother going in and trying to clean up that mess so if I look at that now I have pretty much everything done now we're pretty much done but the only thing that I noticed is that I accidentally got rid of the hands during the process so I'm gonna actually make sure that I go in call in the original design and what I'm gonna do is I'm just going to zoom right into here let's turn off the TrueView and I'm just gonna grab these two little hands right here hold the shift key down want to do that let's just come here grab this one hold the control key down grab those two hands grab this piece as well and I'm gonna take those two and I'm going to copy them and then I'm going to come back into my software and I'm going to paste those into place so they're pasted back where I wanted them to be now the only difference is if I go to my colors right now they are at the very bottom of the list and to be honest I want them to be done right at the beginning of that design so I'm going to come right here make sure that I put those in place now if I want to I can just come in and check the density and the pull compensation on those so let's turn off the true view and I'm just going to grab both of those objects at the same time make sure that they are a satin stitch and let's change the spacing to point four millimeters on both and let's go into the stitching but probably better if I do them one at a time we're just going to grab that one come here make sure that I have a zig zag with an edge run turn on my second underlay there's my edge run make sure that I do the same here I want to make sure that I have a underlay with a zig zag and an edge run so let's change that to edge run and the let's hit the H key I'm going to just grab all of those nodes make sure that this one comes up a little bit further and let's do the same with this one grab this node make sure it comes up a little bit further then I'm going to come in here and I'm going to make sure that I change some of these angles so that they are going to be a little bit different than the original and let's just get rid of that one that way I have an angle that's completely gone there I can modify this ever so slightly but by changing these angles it's going to actually oppose the direction that's underneath and it's going to make them look a little bit clearer now all I have to do is make sure I have point four millimeters of density let's change this to a zigzag with an edge run again and now if I look at this design it is completely done let's turn on the TrueView now we have actually added some stitches but we've added integrity we've added a foundation of underlay to this design and I can guarantee this design is going to sell out much much better that was probably the longest edit we've ever done on an embroidery medic segment and I hope you learned something what I learned is it would have been much faster to have read is that design from scratch and that's sometimes the case it's sometimes faster to create it than it is to actually fix it but we learned something along the way I hope you enjoyed it and we'll see you next time thanks for watching to make your embroidery life easier hit the subscribe button below to be
