[Music] hey everybody and welcome to another learn to digitized video my name is sue and I am from oml embroidery and oml digitizing and today we're gonna do a really cute cat design and we're going to start from scratch and work our way through it and finish the whole thing and at the end you're gonna have a really cute design so let's start with I already did a new design that's fine let's start with bringing in our artwork and this is the guy the little guy that we're gonna do and I really like him I think he's absolutely adorable now this may be a little bit big so let's bring him down here he's way big so let's bring him down because of course we want to digitize at the size that we want a final design to be and I'm gonna make this guy bigger maybe than you would so we can work on some details so if you're doing him really small you won't be able to have quite as many details as I do but for the class I think this will work out fine now I'm gonna open up my resequenced and I'm gonna have that highlighted which I do and I'm gonna hit the K button and what that does is locks in my design so it won't move when I messed around all right so let's look at this guy he's a little bit pixelated but that's okay we can work with him he's got a couple of different shades we can do those or not do those and see how they work he's outlined he's got cute little feet which is absolutely awesome um so I think it'll be a really cute design by the time that we're done so let's start at the beginning which is going to be either as tail or as feet because they are behind we want them to stitch out first of course you can always start with the face and then you'll just have to move everything around to make it stitch out properly but for us let's stitch out the tail now we're going to do an auto outline on this guy so let's go to digitized and we're gonna do a closed shape so we click on that and right now we're just going to be left clicking and what we're gonna focus on is this lighter orange and then we're gonna do the darker orange so or we'll do we could do all this all in one let's do this all in one just because I don't know how good it's gonna good look so that was a left click but I'm gonna change that I don't know let's click and then right click and right click because you want the curve to be nice right click we need to left-click in the corner and this one has a well let's see if you pull it straight that's not gonna work so we're gonna have to put a right click in between here and then a left click for the corner and see it worked out perfectly right click right click another one right here another one right here and left click in the corner cuz otherwise if you don't left-click in the corner if you go ahead and put another right click it looks fine right now but when you click again that's what's gonna happen some backspace out of that left clicked right there I'm gonna put a right click there and then we're gonna hit enter and there we go we have a kitty cat tail it's a little bit off there but I think that's gonna be just fine so for this one let's go back to our select and we're gonna go to edit objects I'm gonna go down to the bottom and create a outlines and offsets and we want this to be an outline so back stitch no I think I really want a satin I want it to be nice and thick and we do want it in black and I have the center one we don't have any overlapping objects but you need to pick one so I just leave it on the center one it's the one I use most often anyway so I just leave it and click OK and we should have our line so we could also another way of doing that cuz it's not as thick let's because we always try to do things different ways let's right click and we're gonna hide whoops hide selected and another way to do it let's go back up here to digitizing its couple quick ways we can do it um this way might look a little bit better for this guy but we'll just see cuz it wasn't quite thick enough of course we could make it thicker but so for the second way of doing it let's just pick all the block here block right click right click right click is bit curvy he's got a nice curvy tail so it's gonna be a lot of right clicks on this so right click right click more right click small right clicks that one is a little bit off so I'm gonna go back and we're gonna go left click in there just to straighten it out just just a little bit left click there we go we don't really have to incorporate that in but let's do it anyways they're there they're there and hit enter and what we're gonna do is change that one to black I guess number ten is black and then we're going to left click and hold and we're gonna move it to it stitches out first before the blue which I'm gonna change to orange that actually looks pretty good I kind of like it but now we have a layer of black and we have a layer of blue so let's go to the blue and then we are going to go close this digitize we're gonna go to edit objects oh except for I didn't click Edit objects I was thinking what the heck where is that and we're gonna go right here to remove overlaps and we're gonna click on that and do you see what happened there if you look over to the right you can and I'll move this you can see that it's lovely and cut out let's do undo or control-z move that over there we go so that I think I actually like that a little bit better so we're gonna delete that a few ways of doing the same thing but we're gonna try to keep it simple can't delete it until you unhide it because after all you can't delete something that you can't see so you can see the difference there between the two let's go and let's go delete so we kind of have to tell done why don't we go ahead and change the guy to orange I kind of like that so we have the base of the tail done I'm gonna shift click and we're going to hide all these we know we have it done but we still need to be able to say to do these which we're gonna do that detail work after so let's for now go to doing the feet so close added objects and we're gonna go to digitize see how we're going along here and we're gonna do the orange part so we're going to go left click right click left click cuz it's a corner right click and we're gonna keep right clicking right until the end how was that so oh except for I don't really like that one so I'm gonna put a left click in there so it strings it just a tad and left click and we're gonna hit enter and that is one which is awesome so let's color that orange I'll try to keep up with my colors I don't always do it like that and let's do the black part so again you could do the same way that we did it before you could do it all black and then overlap or you can digitize both parts manually how about we could copy and paste this ha or you can clone it by simply holding down the right click button and I'll show you that in a minute but we can digitize his pawn we'll do it the other way so there we go enter there we go and we want that black dad for you have to click the select button of course I always forget that he's looking cute so I'm gonna click on that one shift-click on this one and I'm gonna hold down my right mouse key and I'm gonna slide it over to make a copy and that's how you clone something you could and then you could change the end of angle and make it fit there cuz they look the same but we're gonna go ahead and digitize it just so you can see what I'm doing so we're gonna do black on this one so we're gonna do it same thing two different ways whatever you find easier removing overlaps is certainly easy enough to do so there we go I always try to give options for everything's so enter and of course we can't see anything instead of hiding I'm just going to move it let's go to digitize clothes shape again then we're going to do the orange part and I'm left clicking and right clicking right click right click and we're gonna go straight to enter you don't want that one black we do want it orange and then we're gonna move this guy back up just a little bit like that and then we're going to click on the top one and then we're gonna go back into our edit objects make sure I click on the right one this time and remove overlaps and there we go we have basically the same thing and that worked out perfectly we can move this just to see yep I could have changed my overlaps that's overlapped quite a bit but that's fine for now so we don't need this we're gonna click on it and we're gonna hit delete and delete and let's do his little itty-bitty back pause now I think for this one we will go to digitize and I think we'll do it separately because I kind of like that and then I'm going to change the order click digitize closed I'm going to change the order because I do want these back paws to stitch out first so any of the overlap will be on the top and that just makes it look a little bit better it gives you a little more depth and it stitches out in the right order and I like it hit enter and let's do this part and we can change the colors after and we're gonna go ahead and do the other one again you could copy and paste over and change the angle and make it fit but we're gonna do it all today there we go we will change the color shortly and there and there I kind of like this guy land flat stitches I think it looks cool and I think we'll keep up with that cuz I think that'd be neat we don't really want to highlight too much about them so we'll do it a couple ways we'll just keep going open hit enter and then we're gonna do the orange part lickety-split a little bit of overlap but that is just fine and there and hit enter now I'm gonna go to my select and I want to change that to orange so we can see what he's looking like number 14 orange and number 14 orange doesn't he look good he's starting to come together now like I said I want these these smaller ones so I'm I clicked on it and I picked the wrong one so I picked the right one because you can see which one it's highlighted and I'm gonna shift-click to the bottom and I'm gonna left click and drag and I'm gonna bring it up to just after the tail that we have hidden and you can see the little overlap there now I do have it on TrueView because I tend to work that way there's a nice little overlap between the two you could have done these all in one part but I think it looks nice with that little bit of detail there so we've got the tail and we're gonna do the detail work on it afterwards now we have his face and we're gonna decide how we want to do it he's actually kind of cute I kind of like him knit for this one I guess we will do the two colors because we didn't do that on the tail we just did one color so left click right click right click left click in the corner and we're gonna right click right about there left click there and see how it made such a nice curve try to do the least amount of notes as possible because you can follow this clearly and look and I'm gonna put a whole bunch in there but I don't think you need to be clicking that much if you can spread it out just a little bit you get much better curves on everything and I like it much better left click down at the bottom see how it pulls it out there left click in the corner then right click and then right click and left click there and that is pretty much straight so we're gonna left click a little bit of a curve there so we're gonna right click right click right click nope see now I did that wrong left click if you get a little if I did it wrong because that supposed to be left clicking the more corner come on there we go right click right click right click yeah if you do it wrong that's all you have to do is that you've um I did again misplaced your right clicks and your left click so your corners and you just have to go back and fix it and it's easy to do it just right along when you're working well we don't want him black and I see another mistake that we made now we want him to be orange but a little lighter of an orange color so we need to pull out my threads and let's just go and let's just pick something that's a little bit just a little bit lighter it's kind of maybe this one spice that might be the bit darker even brighter don't spend too long doing this Liberty goal let's try that one so double click and it changes you know that's not too bad not quite as orange II as I like now let's put my threads a waste and we can see more there's a couple nodes out of place right there so we're gonna highlight that and we're going to go to this reshape button which is awesome and what we have to do is we're probably gonna click right here and add another node and then pull it out so I just left clicked on it to get a straight one and pull it out and there we go that is much better that's how you fix little mistakes like that super go back to the Select and we're gonna do his I guess we'll do the big orange part of his face and then we'll hide it so you can see what I'm doing so let's do this again digitize a shape we want to overlap just a little bit because we don't want any gaps going on and it doesn't have to be perfect you guys can you know of course take your time but make sure you overlap can you maybe if i zoom in you can see a little better how much I'm overlapping somewhere around there is pretty good you could make it a little smaller if you wanted but we want you know half the pull comp going on so we don't want gaps now what I'm gonna do for this one is I'm gonna whoops just that ear doesn't want to work for me today what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna do this one really roughly and I'll show you a neat trick of what you can do so let's keep going on that I don't have auto pan on so I do it manually just how I roll for whatever reason I have no idea why I do it that way I just like to manually do it and I'm dragging my piece over my line my elastic line and that's okay to do it that way just old-school like that's just the way I roll I find the auto panning annoying but it does help out if you can get used to it then you don't have to scroll clicky clicky scroll isn't quite as much as I do and that's fine that's absolutely fine so I'm doing lots of right clicks because we're going along his face and I'm going to left-click there and I'm going to zoom out a little bit because I can't work quite that closely and now I just did that super quickly and that's fine because we're gonna switch stitching order and we're gonna make that look better it actually doesn't look all that bad but that's orange and we're gonna change the stitching order so it stitches out fat like that because I did this very carefully and that's what we're looking at and I think that's actually pretty good I kind of like it no problems there however we can't see what we're doing so I am going to do two things I'm gonna hide it because it looks better but you can take off TrueView and then you can still see what you're doing I'm gonna work in TrueView so we can see the stitches and I'm gonna hide this just to make it super easy we remember that we've done it now we're gonna do how about we do the nose now I don't like this little shadow thing but we can do it so let's digitize a closed shape and we're gonna start probably at the point so I can left-click and we're gonna I think left-click here try a right click right click it's a nice curve and that's too much see how you do that that's a little too much so we're gonna go back you're the right click we're gonna have to put a left click in there right click right click just see how that works and I got it almost exactly do the same thing on the other side left click right click left click and enter whoops I hit backspace instead how awesome is that click enter perfectly done sometimes when you're doing it you make little mistakes like that and it's just a matter of a quick little backspace and off you go so how are we gonna do this do we want this in satin stitches hmm I'm not really sure we could do a closed lock and just see how it looks cuz he seems to be a flat kitty and he's kind of simple and I'm right clicking and of course I'm gonna left click at the corner hopefully you guys are getting this so we can make this cute kitty I think he's gonna look awesome stitched out on anything adds some lettering maybe I just really like him he just caught my fancy left click in the center right click right click right click and left click and then we're gonna enter I kind of like that not really sure why don't we try changing the stitch angle so all I did there sorry was reshape and then you can see when I put my mouse cursor over it changes to angle and we can do it like this and let's go back to select that looks much better actually that's not that's not too bad double-click on it we can click the satin that's even better that's even better so what I did the object properties wasn't up and I double clicked on it so it comes up so we can try different things I do like the satin we're gonna leave it at Sun so then we have to do is teeth and plotting it out we're gonna have to do it just a little bit differently then we're just gonna have to move stuff around because we do want the teeth to stitch out first so then it's underneath otherwise it's not gonna look the greatest and I'll show you what I mean just shortly left click left click right click right click right click and left click and there's one too many so this should have been done left click I'm gonna keep doing this because hopefully you guys are picking up when I make this mistake and that so you know when you're doing it so we'll make that a white tooth I kind of like that better without the outline we could do let's do the other one first let's let's hold up my mind is just going faster than what I'm doing here so left click left click left click and left click then we're going to right click and left click here left click here left click and enter and we're gonna make this one white again so instead of doing this little bit around instead of going down up back again let's do it a little bit of a faster way because we're getting a little bit small here put it right back where it was let's go to edit objects and let's go to create outlines and offsets and we're gonna do little outline and let's try back stitch cuz we don't really want to just thick and that'll look fine sure why not let's try a different stitch on this one why not cuz we're here remove over oh wait Oh edit undo remove over those didn't mean to do that sorry sorry and it pulled my cat out and we had them hidden so let's I still need your hidden cat sorry I clicked the wrong button so hide selected so let's let's do that again I clicked on the wrong thing which is fine everyone will do it a lot it's not a big deal we want to go way down here to create outlines so instead of back stitch hmm what can we do stem stitch let's try that middle one see how it looks that is definitely not gonna work now is it so I want to double click on it and [Music] this part of the outline there we go clicking on it incorrectly so let's try something else single run yeah triple run I like that it's a little bit thicker sculpture run not bad but it doesn't quite cover the corners back stitch which is the same as that side which it should be the same well obviously zig zags out of the question well that's kind of a cool effect I don't mind I think I like triple run the best so let's go on this one and triple run and now our teeth are the same as zoom out see how we're doing he's looking kind of cute we only have a little more details left to do so let's do one eye again a couple ways we can do it how about we try it a couple of different ways just so you know you have options when your digitizing so let's go to digitize let's go to digitize closed shape so I'm going to left-click and I'm gonna right click and I'm gonna left click and I'm gonna right click and approximately the same spot whoops can't get it and hit enter and that is not quite what I want that is whoops that that didn't work out how I thought so let's do it again digitize closed shape and we're gonna have to put some more nodes in there cuz it's a big long oval so let's do right click here right click here and see that's not quite either that's not quite right click so there's gonna have to be way more notes than I thought well that's how you figure it out exactly what I did there I mean it was really only a couple clicks when we did it and I tried to do the least amount and I thought that would work and it just didn't so we're doing right clicks all the way around thank you very much hit enter that is much better that was super easy that is much better let's move this over so we're gonna do the same thing now of course what you can do is take this and make it smaller or you can digitize it all over again so let's do both ways let's do this and I'm holding the right mouse key and I'm dragging it over and we duplicate in it make the whole thing a bit smaller let's make her wait and let's make it fit pretty much easy as it goes that's how you do it put that over top how it sets and let's do manually so this is our second choice you can also pull out a circle - bit fiddly unless you're really used to welcome circles you can pull it out and make an oval but we're just gonna digitize it this way so manual a copy and paste and we do the same thing for the other eye so there we go same thing I kind of like the first one because it matches exactly let's move that guy out there so for this one depending on what size you're working at now mine's kind of large um you could make this a nice satin stitch if it's a bit smaller but I'm going to show you why I'm not gonna like it let's manually digitize it right there and we know because it's an oval we're gonna have to put quite a few nodes in there not too many don't go too crazy it will Bend to be exactly what you want I am right-clicking the whole way don't like that one let's go back I just did backspace to get back a little bit right-click right-click right-click left-click in the corner right-click right here this is kind of a tight curve trying to hit it a bit closer than I am and there and press Enter looking good I kind of like that now if we were making it smaller if we just want to check it out you click the satin oh wait you gotta have here select you click the satin and it's just a little bit too long I mean it is let's zoom out it is kind of a nice effect but it's kind of split satin cuz it's a little bit too long I don't really like it so we're just gonna put it back - to Tommy we could however try you know a different - Tommy - see that might have a nice effect always try with your fancy stitches you never know how good something is gonna look if you just change it up a smidgen see I kind of like those stitches - they're kind of random but that gives it a little more depth it's not a huge part of the design but just a little bit I kind of like it so move this whoops don't worry that was just a Centrepointe move this guy over to here and I think that balances out quite nicely and I do like those stitches I do let's put it here and what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna do this and put him here now the other eye yeah I do like that I think maybe three layers is a bit much so let's fix that while we're at it let's go to edit objects and let's go to remove overlaps which I was so enthusiastic about doing before and let's cut out the white now that came out - that's fine that's gonna hopefully cut everything out we have a little space I think I have my overlaps set a bit too wide I was probably playing around with it so let's just undo that everything back to normal I think I was playing around with settings from one of my quick tip videos and I think I made it too wide overlap ah sure did way too wide and that's why they're not working actually for this one I'm gonna make it zero just zero there we go so now let's try this again that's how you fix it if you remember when we're doing the overlaps on the feet it overlapped a lot and almost too much but I had forgotten to look back at my settings so now let's remove overlaps and it's gonna do all of them and let's see how much it did it should have done a hundred percent let's see just move yep pretty good thank you let's put that back where it came from oh I'm just making a mess now so the easier thing to do I thought I was grabbing this and I grabbed that and I'm sure everybody does that all the times just to go back to undo move now you can do control Z for this I like to do it up like that be then I can see where I am and I want to do one more undo move because it tells you you can do controls that and if you go too far then you can fix it but I have a tendency of doing it that way now let's go to true view because our guys face is back up now we can select these three things the black eye the white and then this part actually we should go on the white and we should do remove overlaps and then that's gonna cut out the black even more so we don't have everything overlapping quite so much I think that you don't have to do that I just did because I think it looks better and we're gonna group these eyes and what we can do is right click slide over and try to place it kind of where we have it and then what we can do is just simply mirror it boom there we go and because the eyes are exactly the same that's all I did and look at how perfect there because they perfectly match I just love that so all I did is the the clone so it's right-click I selected all of them make sure you have all of them because you need to do them all at once I right clicked I'm I held it slid over with all three of them and then I simply went on mirror which is right here and now you can mirror this way and you can mirror this way and that's it and that's how to save time for sure for sure doing that now we are gonna do a little more detail work however we need to do the outside of our cat yet I I almost forgot this black part so let's quickly do that and get this kitty cat rockin he's nice and simple however there's quite a few things we've got to put some detail work on them and that's gonna make him look a lot better so I'm left clicking and right clicking left click in the corner because you want to cusp there right click around his face and we're gonna make that again there's a couple ways we can do it you don't have to do the outlines and flat stitches we can change them to satin stitches and we might go over that in the end just to see how it looks just to see how it looks I'm not really sure I'm kind of liking them all flat just because these black parts are actually pretty thick I was just thinking it might look better with the flat stitches but once we get our basic design done oh my mouse is just terrible once we get might beat the basic design done hit enter we can take it from there what happened it was on satin that's all now we want to take this guy and we want to move so I'm left click holding all the way up that's as far as I can see oh but we wanted before so we want this to go on the background then we can just take the this part the big part of his orange face and we can go back to edit objects we're visiting there a lot today remove overlaps to cut out the black then we're gonna pick the lighter orange and we're gonna do the same thing so it's just basically cutting out our black part and let's see how that looks well I think he's just looking adorable now if you remember this guy had some details on his face so just to make things easy I'm gonna select all of these and I am going to do hide again if you take it off of TrueView then that would make it a lot easier now to make things easy let's do let's do stitched eyes and just it's a closed shape you could also use blocks I am going to do a video on blocks because they are kind of hard to master we'll do it on a flower or something and then everybody can learn it right clicks on the top left clicks on the bottom let's do it again left click now this one's getting smaller right click left click and right here you can press Enter and let's do the same thing left click right click left click press Enter and these are in satin stitches and I think it's just about right now for this one we are going to left click right click left click enter now that one's a bit curvier but I kind of like it and instead of doing them all because they all look pretty much the same on this side you can of course digitize the men but I'm going to right mouse click hold and drag and they are pretty good right click hold and drag and boom that's done let's do the other side because they are a little bit different let's go left click right click left click all the way over here enter I like it I am gonna change the angles on those so now I have it back to my select key right click drag a little bit off but that's ok right click whoops and I did that wrong oh my edit undo scale I picked the wrong thing right click drag I didn't have my mouse button down quite enough so for these guys I want to go into reshape and we're gonna have to get right in there right in there let's look yeah see that's the problem see if you hover your mouse over it tells you the angle and I want the angle do you see the difference between that one and that one big difference can you see how nice and neat that looks and you don't have to worry about pulling this part of the angle down for this one you don't have to because it looks great the way it is reshape click on it select see how much better now you can really see it actually see how much better they look that is a nice design there and let's go here and put just put the angle pretty close to straight up I like it let's do the other side the other side isn't too bad but it could use some fixing up there so there reshape yeah I think the angle should go straight up or almost up on this one I kind of like that what do you guys think I think the stitches are formed it's a smoother edge when you change the angles like that this is okay but I think we're going for awesome so let's take a minute to change the angle so you can always play around with your angles especially on satin stitches but really on any stitches and it changes how it looks again look at the difference this is okay that's fantastic and I love it so there we go looking good go back to our select key he's looking awesome so now we have the details on the face so why don't we bring his face back and I'm just gonna click on resequenced click on I guess we have that group to click on this part right click and unhide all and look at how cute he's looking I actually really like it now what we need to do is go back up to his tail because he had a lot of tail pieces and we could do this and we'll do a group and we'll just move it just because we need to see these points now they don't look the same do they some of them do let's try it I always try to take different approaches to things so we can show you guys click there click that was left click right click left click and enter and that is almost perfect so let's see then let's go back to our select let's right click drag see it's not they are all a little bit different so you could do that approach I I think they're far enough apart for me and it's so easy to do I think I will manually select click right click left click enter yeah I think cuz they're all a little bit different left click right click left click enter left click right click left click enter just for the sake of it wow that one was way off backspace let's go to the tip there left right left enter yep getting it left right left enter you guys will have a nice rhythm by the time you're done this right left enter that one's a little bit off but it's okay left right left enter you don't have to be exact but if you want to fix this one we can let's delete him then let's try it one more time okay we'll be a little more accurate I was a bit to enter happy on it so left click down this one's a little more cut off and I'm gonna right click now I'm gonna press enter that is a little bit closer to what it is now how cute is he I'm thinking that is a pretty cute cat now I grouped them so we can just put the tail back on and look at our cute little kitty cat let's go back up whoops back up and let's unlock everything and let's delete our picture so we can see what we're left with and it's just this cute kitty cat design and I really like them I'm not sure how fond I am of those two colors but I don't think it's bad either I don't think it's bad at all so what we want to do too is we want to resequenced this a little bit and this is I'm always talking about tidying up because right now if we go to colors whoo there's a little bit too much black and white and orange and white you can have hatch do this quite nicely or you can left-click boom left click boom put it in order yourself and paying attention of course to what everything is doing now I want it to see what before we will organise it there I guess we can now I don't I don't want to make a mess I think it's up I've got it on resequenced manually because that's that's what I do generally so I think we want to go here optimize color changes there we go this operation will reduce the number of color changes from 15 to 10 do you wish to continue the only thing is do you notice what happened it kind of put everything out of order we don't want to do that so let's go back that just didn't work on that one what I did want to do is see how satin stitches because satin stitches are awesome they kind of take your design from flat stitches which are okay there's something wrong with flat stitches and it's gonna kick it up a notch by adding a little more interest so let's see what it does so I'm gonna click on this one and all we're gonna do is change it to satin stitch see now that's okay I'm not sure if I like that better the way I've done it the size that I've done it out is just a little bit too big well what do you think why don't we do half with and half with that and this is how I decide how I'm going to do my design I I finish it I do the basics and then I tweak it up a little bit to see if I can add a little bit more and I do like it just flat stitches I like it better this guy's a little bit bigger let's see actually let's quickly put those back because I made him quite large because we wanted to add in some detail so let's select the whole thing in a bounding box and we can see that he's six by four so he's quite a big cut let's make them a little smaller because remember when you're resizing a design at all the detail work changes so we resized them and now he is a three by two which is also a decent size now you can see the whole thing looks different and on this one I don't like the tatami stitches on the outside I don't like that at all he's right there let's try can we make him son that is a little bit better but you see the difference do you see the difference in that because we made him smaller and what we have to do here because we made them smaller it all changed and it doesn't look as good so if you're really this is why I'm saying resize sorry work at the design the size that you want because everything changes I don't even like that to Tammy on the outside of this it doesn't look that that is so much better I'm going to leave them so you can see I think that's way better right there but that looks good larger that looked really good larger and I don't like these either its satin but I want the angle change because now it shows more do you see the difference let me go to select and click off with that do you see the difference between the two when we were larger that looked much better now it just doesn't so let's do some fix in here and this is what you have to do when you resize stuff you need to change stuff if you have a stitch file of course please don't resize anything but we all know this is an EMB file and we can resize but this is why it is so completely important to digitize at the size that you want your final design to be because you're gonna need to do some fixing on this let's go to reshape and you see you can see that there's you know a fair amount of fixing to do to make it look better of course you could leave it but I don't think you should I think it's a matter of just tipping up these angles and changing the stitch to see the difference there I just changed it from a tatami which if you remember it was really big to a satin and I think it looks way better and this one needs the angle as well so we need to go to reshape and make sure you're on it and change it but see how it looks way better and that's how you have to do it and that's why you know it's I'm not reading the whole design but I'm adding quite a bit of changes and it's quite a bit of work to do it to be able to do it this way now at this size even you might have been able to just do and out line four it just you know outlined it made it a satin stitch outline because it's so much smaller this guy's little itty bitty guy but because we didn't we want to change a few things see I'm just not I guess generally it's pretty good we can leave the outside what do we think of this yeah see this is not bad let's try reshaping and it's a bit thicker and we have one angle line so why don't we try moving the angle line and see if it looks better it does everywhere else not so much on the end of his tail and that's turning stitches for you now what we can do to fix this a little bit it's go to edit objects and we want to add stitch angles and you just want to add the angle so I want this one to go here and that is gonna make it look better and we want the stitches to turn a little bit I mean this isn't bad but and I'm just left clicking and I'm just adding the angle lines so it is quite a bit of work when you try to resize your EMB files but you can do it it's not like you're redoing everything you you have to read is e Thais re detail read detail and I'm just kind of trying to make this flow a little bit and I'm just clicking and placing them and then press ENTER and see how much better that looks just by adding a few angle lines and I think that looks way better than it did before way better click on the outside way better way better that gives it form compared to we now we left his head outlined but see how good that looks much better than this guy I guess we could do the same thing let's go to reshape and I'm gonna zoom out a little bit let's try exactly what we did one stitch angle there that might get us partway that's not too bad it's just kind of faulty rate here if you see so let's go to add stitch angles and we basically click and click and click and click and you don't want them to cross over and you want them to have a nice flow on their turn is how you do it well that's how you fix it but you see the angle on this one is going this way and we actually want it this way just a little bit up and click and click so you try to make it flow now you can remove them if you don't like them if you don't turn it enough you can move them or completely remove them we want it going this way so yeah quite a bit of work when you do a resize and you really have to do it I think that's looking they'll be night and day at this size like it'll be just an incredible amount of difference nicely turning hit enter wow what a difference I like it so much better so much better now he has more of a professional look see I fixed all this I fixed all the angles if the angles aren't right it what a mess it makes I really like can you see the difference in the satin stitches as opposed to the flat stitches I think it looks way better and that is you know the kitty cat in two sizes done two different ways and also it really shows you the difference what you have to do if you're making a design from big to small people are always asking that and this shows you exactly what the difference is stuff that looks good and detail that looks good by the large size it just didn't look good at the smaller size and we had to make a lot of adjustments I mean there's nothing all that hard but we had to make a lot of adjustments to make it look really good again however I think our little kitty and he is quite small I think our little kitty looks really cute he's just a happy cat looking at you and you can do him at two different sizes and make changes and that is how you digitize a cute little kitty in two sizes here inside hatch embroidery software thanks everyone for watching I hope you enjoyed this class if you can come up with some ideas to think outside the box and make this guy a little more interesting I think he's just fine like this I quite like them I think I'm going to put them on a pair of jeans but you guys of course think outside the embroidery box and come up with some ideas and let me know what you think and of course don't forget to post your homework I want to see what you guys can come up with kitty cat face here thanks for watching I'll see you guys in the next class [Music]
