How to Easily Jailbreak Your Nintendo Switch (2023)

hey guys what's going on my name is Ghost and I'm gonna be showing you how to jailbreak your Nintendo switch now I know it's been a little bit of time since I've previously posted the video that most of you have probably watched and it was a lot of like going back and forth going back and forth and going back and forth to try to get something going this new method we don't have to worry about that it's literally add files onto an SD card inject a payload and you are crisp and golden so first up what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you the stuff that you're gonna need then we'll get into how to find out whether or not your switch can be jailbroken it will have to be an unpatched switch which essentially means like it was one of the first ones that were kind of released when they started getting into like the switch lights and the oleds and things like that you kind of missed out because it then required a mod chip and we kind of all know what happened to the team that was doing those yeah so after I show you what you need I'll show you where to go uh the only problem with that is I cannot provide you any links this disclaimer's straight up front anything that you do to your console is at your own risk and Nintendo since you took down my last video just as a precautionary measure this is covered under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 and is of course for educational purposes only now that we got that out of the way let's take our switch and jailbreak it all right guys so before we jump over to start actually modifying the switch itself there's a couple things that we need to have one of them being a RCM jig which is uh this little doodad right here so basically it's a little piece of plastic that's going to slide into the right joy-con rail here and it's got two metal contacts on it one for pin one one for pin ten and essentially the only thing it's going to do is it's going to ground them both out and it's going to allow us to go into recovery mode the only way that you'd be able to do that is if your switch is not patched which luckily ours is not then we have a micro SD card this one happens to be 128 gigs which is probably the minimum that I would recommend if you guys want to go much higher than that you're more than welcome to but 128 gigs especially because we're not going to be doing any kind of like segmenting or partitioning or anything like that um all of your games and everything else you can install them either here or you can install them on the internal one so the bigger the SD card the better honestly and then you're just gonna need a either USB a to USB type c or a type c to type c connector with the ability to plug it into your computer or you can do it on Mac so now of course before we start any of this we need to do a couple of things come over down here to system settings go all the way down if you're connected to the Wi-Fi go ahead update your system all the way that way you'll be able to have access to ex fat formatted SD cards everything else your system will be fully up to date will be perfectly fine once you've done that come up here to internet we need to click on internet settings grab our Network Click Change settings come down here to DNS settings normally this will be set to automatic we want to change this to manual and for the primary DNS we want to set this to 207.246.121.077 and the secondary DNS we want 163.172.141.219 this is only for North American Nintendo servers for the rest of the world Europe Asia South America flip it so we if you're in a different continent other than North America the secondary and primary will be switched so your primary will be the one six three number and your secondary will be the 207 number but if you're in North America it's set up just like this after that you just hit save settings have been saved and then it should go through a process of console to network device to internet and it should say successfully connected now we can continue let's head over to the PC so now that we're over on the PC side of things we'll try to get everything done here so we do not have to come back to it like we had to do in the old tutorial this one's going to be fairly simple uh you're gonna start essentially the same way you'll come to the website right here called ismyswitchpatch.com right here to where you have your ability to input the prefix in your Nintendo switch's serial number mine happens to be x a j4 and zero zero one and if you get this nice green message right here you're good you can continue if you get one that's yellow then you're kind of 50 50 you may be able to continue you may not it just it really depends on whether or not your switch was patched because when Nintendo released those wave of switches some of them were patched some of them weren't and it's almost impossible to tell you'll know whenever we get to entering recovery mode if this comes up and it says red and says that your console is patched then I'm sorry you will not be able to continue you have to mod chip your system which one I don't know how to do and two can show you how to do um there are places online that you can find that will possibly do it it's just very much you have to know somebody so once we found out whether or not our switch is patched if yours is not patched congratulations this is the website for you it is called cfyfood.com which literally stands for custom firmware waifu and at this point we're just gonna come over here to where it says Nintendo switch guides click on the Nintendo switch guide click the very first one we already blocked the Nintendo servers so you don't even have to worry about this the only thing that we want is where it says required downloads We want it just works atmosphere pack so we'll click on that wait for it to download and then the Tegra RCM GUI click on that it'll open up your GitHub right here for me I usually just get the installer so I click on the dot MSI you can just click on the portable zip if you'd like so grab whichever one that you would prefer for me the installer is just the easiest just click on that one so now that you have everything downloaded we'll just go ahead and get everything installed so techra will go ahead and click on that click next run it through for me I already have it installed so I'm just going to click repair I've got it right here and then you are gonna need 7-Zip WinRAR something like that to open up this compressed file which once you open the file yours should look exactly like this you should have your atmosphere folder your bootloader your config a switch folder a fusy DOT bin which is going to be our payload that we're going to inject to get the actual switch to launch into a custom firmware and then your Homebrew menu Dot nro so what we're going to do is we'll just take this drag and drop it to the desktop get it to extract or if you have already jumped ahead and you have your SD card plugged in you can go ahead and drag and drop these except for the fusy we want to leave this out so the atmosphere bootloader config HP menu nro in the switch folder will all be dragged and dropped onto our SD card yours might look slightly different than mine because I've installed games and things like that so I have a games folder uh Nintendo folder and everything else so at this point go ahead drag and drop all of this onto here and then we'll uh once that's done come up here hit eject remove your micro SD card and put it back in your switch so now that we have our micro SD card back in our switch we need to plug it into the PC because we have to be able to to inject the payload so grab your type Z to type c cable or your USB a to type c cable get it plugged into your PC and plug your switch in now your switch might turn on if that's the case that's perfectly fine wait for it to fully boot up and then just turn it back off so now that our switch is plugged in and it's shut completely off we're going to take our little recovery mode jig or RCM jig go ahead put that in the right joy-con rail push it all the way down to where it makes full contact come right here where it says our Tegra RCM GUI I'm going to open that up and for me it already recognizes that I've got the payload there but we're going to come over here where it says settings and click install driver if you do not install this driver it will not work so make sure you click install driver and hit yes next finish and now the driver is installed so we come back over here to the payload tab click our little folder icon find our payload file which at this point should be the fusy payload that came with the download that we just downloaded click on it click open and now it's it's loaded up it's ready to go now the only thing that we have to do is we have to put our switch into RCM mode that's why we need this little jig that we got so we hold volume up and we just tap the home button and at that point we are now in RCM mode so we have our payload folder and file we have the switch in RCM mode the only thing that we have to do now is hit inject payload um there you go you're good now you're jailbroken enjoy your new Switch however if you want to install games that you do legally own keyword legally we don't do anything illegally around here I do have a video on that on how you can actually cart dump and install them on your actual switch so you can play them on one and the other at the same time be sure to go check that out if you guys want to see anything else such as
