hey art friends today we're drawing ninjago we're gonna draw lloyd the green ninja it's gonna be a lot of fun i hope you're gonna follow along with me hope you have a marker and some paper all right now if i go too fast you can always pause the video if you need that extra time to complete a step and we're first going to start by drawing lloyd's eyes and they're two circles right next to each other and we're going to draw them over here in the top right area of our paper so up here so we're going to draw two circles there's this first eye and then right next to it we're going to draw another circle same size they're really small and then we can color them in also but leave a little white spot in the top left corner of the eye okay now let's draw the side of his lego head we're going to draw two lines okay we're going to leave a little space so we're starting right at the top of his eye and then coming down and we're going to draw another one over here there's his lego head okay now we're gonna draw his mask since lloyd usually is wearing a ninja mask we're gonna start here on the side and we're gonna connect over to the right but we're gonna do it with an upside down v and see how it comes up over his nose and then back down okay now let's draw the bottom of his mask and we're going to do the same line except upside down we're going to draw this v right side up there's this mask isn't that cool now he has a lot of wrinkles inside of this mask but we're going to leave those off and draw that with our colored pencils later so now let's draw his hair so we're going to draw a big big line that comes up and then back down right next right over his right eye okay and then we're going to draw a little line up and then we're going to connect it to the side to the right side so this is the bottom part of his hair right over his face now let's draw his angry eyes so we're gonna start right here in the middle we're gonna go over his eye and then back down now it's starting to look like him isn't it okay and we're gonna do that same line over on the other side up and then we can come back down on the other side of this hair okay now we're going to draw the outside of his hair so right in line with his eye we're going to draw a line that comes out and we can do that on both sides so two little lines that come out then we're going to draw a little line that comes up we can do that on both sides too okay and then we're going to draw a curve that comes up on this side and a little line that comes in and then another curve that comes up and then we're going to draw a line that curves all the way over to his other side yeah and then we're going to do a little zigzag in and back out and then we'll connect it that was a little tricky so if you need to you can pause it and then take that extra time okay now inside of his hair let's draw a few extra lines to add a few more details so right here i'm going to draw a line that curves up and then we're gonna curve back down and we're gonna add a few more extra hair lines maybe one right there and then let's draw two over here on this side one and then another one too okay we're almost done with his hair he has a little extra piece that comes down so let's draw a little curve and then back in and then we can do the same thing over here on this side one extra curve out and then back in there we did it we finished his hair he looks really cool now we're going to draw his shoulders next so we're going to draw a line that comes right under his chin that and it's coming past his head when i'm going to have it come past just a little bit further on each side so we're out here he has these cool gold shoulder pads now right above this line we're going to draw another one and it's going to be the same length and we're gonna go behind his mask is that cool okay now over here let's draw a little line to connect the end and a little line over here to connect the left shoulder now we're going to draw two more lines except they're going to get bigger each time so we're going to draw another line a little bit bigger and we're going to draw another line right next to that one that's even taller we're going to do the same thing over here short line tall line okay now we're gonna connect these so we're gonna start here on the outside line we're gonna go up and then back down is that cool and we'll do the same thing here we're going to go up back down and we're going to do one more up and then it's going to connect to his neck or to his head and we'll do the same thing over here up down up down and then connect okay now let's draw the bottom of these shoulder pads so it's just a little shape that comes down and curves back up and i'm just going to curve it in between these two right here so we'll do another one over here and back up next we're gonna draw his body so we're gonna draw two curves we're gonna start right here where his shoulder would be and it's right under his head we're gonna draw a curve that comes out and then we're going to draw another one over here and i'm going to curve it the same direction squeaky markers all right so that's the outside of his body next we're going to draw his right arm and it's going to bend down and then we're going to have the sword coming across his body let's draw the outside of his arm first we're going to draw a line that comes out and then bends down so this is his elbow right here and his wrist is going to be at the end of this line so now let's draw the other side of this arm so draw a line that comes out and then bends down the same as the outside line okay then we can connect this we'll connect those two lines and then let's draw his wrist so i'm going to draw two lines coming out for his wrist and see how they're starting to line up with the bottom of his body right here so now let's draw his hand so we'll connect those two and then his hand we're going to draw a line that comes down and we're going to draw a line that comes across and curves back up to finish his hand that cool that's a real easy way to draw a lego hand next we're going to draw the sword that he's holding with his right hand we're going to draw a rectangle right here next to his hand so let's draw an l small l shape and i will draw an upside down l shape to connect it next let's draw the handle coming out of the back of his hand cool now let's draw his sword so right here right in line with the handle we're going to draw a big line that comes out and across we can even draw this even longer i think it swords really long there we go is that cool now let's draw the other side of his sword and it's going to be right in line with this handle so come right here come across and then we're going to end this line shorter than the first line we drew and then we can connect the two lines there's a sword isn't that awesome now let's add a few extra details on the handle let's draw one line down for the end of the handle and we can draw a little x right here now let's complete his body let's draw this line and make sure it connects to his sword next let's draw his left arm so we draw the same kind of lines that we drew over here we'll draw the outside line first i'm just going to draw this one straight or diagonal and we're going to draw the other one right below it there's his left arm and then we can draw the line connecting it and then let's draw his wrist so we're going to draw two little lines coming out just like we did over here and we're going to do the same thing we're going to draw a straight line to connect this is first hand and we're going to draw that straight line at the top of his hand and we'll draw a curve to complete his hand okay next let's draw a sword so we're going to draw that rectangle shape up here at the top so let's draw an l shape i'm going to draw it differently we're going to draw the long part next to his hand we'll draw the short l then we'll draw the upside down l to connect and make the rectangle okay now let's draw a sword coming up so let's draw a line comes really far and we want to make sure that it's about the same length so they look the same then let's try the other side of his sword coming up i'm going to draw this one just a little longer and then we can connect him except we forgot his handle so let's draw let's draw his handle down here coming out the back of his hand so we're going to drop backwards l and then we'll connect it up to his hand here we go okay now let's add those extra details so let's draw that line and then an x on the handle all right next let's draw his legs we're going to draw one curve over here and then let's draw another curve going the other direction over here and that's for this is for his hips and then we're going to connect these two with a curve so we're going to curve it down and then back up all right now let's draw the middle part of his legs so let's draw two lines that curve down that's for the hinge in between his legs so now let's draw the rest of his legs we're going to draw two lines coming out this direction and then let's draw two lines going out the other direction all right he's got his legs spread apart so he's in kind of a cool ninja stance now let's connect the bottom of these two lines and the bottom of these two lines next we're going to draw his feet so we're going to draw two lines coming out and they're a lot shorter and we want them to be the same size or the same length okay then we can connect those two and then we're going to draw two lines coming down and these are short also and then connect those at the bottom okay now let's draw the side of his foot and then we're gonna connect it up to finish his leg oh it looks awesome okay now let's draw his foot over here we're gonna repeat those same steps two short lines for the top of this foot and then connect them and then we'll do those two lines down for the front of his foot and connect those two then we're going to draw the bottom of his foot or the side of his foot coming back and then the side of his leg going up to finish it all right he looks awesome those legs look really three-dimensional now let's add the details on his chest or his shirt so right in the middle let's draw a circle we're going to draw a circle right here where his belly button would be and with our sharpie it's a little hard to draw all of the details but let's draw one more circle inside and we're going to leave it just like that now we're going to draw a v coming down and connecting to the circle and coming back to his other shoulder then let's draw another line that comes down and connects to the circle and then another diagonal line that comes down and connects to the circle now he has this ninja belt over here that's tied in a knot so we're going to draw an oval shape then we're going to draw two lines down in the middle of the oval to make it look like a knot and then we're gonna draw the belt that comes out and back in it's like a sideways u shape and we can also draw that on the right side next we're going to draw the rest of his belt coming across his waist and we can draw that over here also all right cool we're almost done we're going to draw two more diagonal lines connecting the circle to the knot the last step we're going to do is we're going to draw the little details right here we're going to draw curves that come back and forth almost looks like a zigzag line that's for the wrap that he has underneath his costume or his ninja suit all right we're gonna leave lloyd just like this he looks awesome there are a few more details but we're leaving them off on purpose just to keep this lesson a little easier all right let's put our markers off to the side we're gonna color lloyd he's gonna look even cooler once we finish coloring now you can pause the video to match the same coloring that i did i used a yellow kind of a gold color also a light green a regular green a dark green white gray and black now it's fun using these colors to add a lot of extra details and also shading use the the green to add a little shadow on his legs and also on his hips and i also use the green to add wrinkles in his mask i hope you had a lot of fun following along with me and we'll see you later friends goodbye [Music]
