this art lesson is sponsored by Paramount Pictures don't miss out on Transformers rise of the Beast only in theaters on June 9th hey our friends here on a jaw Transformers yeah we're really excited about today's art lesson and we hope you are too and you're going to follow along with us we're drawing a Transformer from the new movie Transformers rise of the bees and this is the first movie where Optimus Prime and the Autobots are joined by the maximals and what is a maximal it's a animal yeah a Transformer yeah that turns into an animal an animal yeah or a bees and we're drawing cheetor today and what does cheetor transform into a cheetah a cheetah yeah which is why I'm really excited about today's lesson because I love cheetahs too and robots when the drawings folded up he'll be in cheetah form and then when you open it he'll transform into a robot we got our markers we also need some paper someone calling all right you ready to start yes let's first start by folding our paper we're going to take the top edge of our paper we're gonna line it up with the bottom Edge and then when it's lined up we're going to crease it down the middle and then out to the corners that makes it a lot easier to fold there you go and then right down the middle good job and then up nice now let's take the top flap and we're going to line it up with the top Edge and then crease it down the same then let's flip over our paper and we're going to repeat that same step we'll take the top flap we're going to line up with the top Edge and then crease it down also now this is just a guide fold so we're going to unfold this last one and flatten it out and then flip our paper back over next we have a scratch piece of paper we'll put underneath our drawing paper this is just to protect our table to keep the marker from getting on it and it's red but this is just a scratch paper I like the red because it matches their table now we're ready to draw and we're using our markers to draw with but you don't have to if you don't have a marker you could use a pencil instead let's first start by drawing cheetor's head and we're drawing him in his cheetah form with the paper folded up so we're going to start by drawing the bottom of his head we're going to draw right in the middle of our paper but above the fold we're going to draw his chin and we're going to draw it really small it's not it's not too big so a little smile line now we're going to draw the side of his head and we're going to draw it's almost like we're drawing the letter V so we're going to draw a line that comes out to the left and also coming out to the right yeah okay now let's draw the side of his head coming up straight up on each side so we're going to draw it coming up a little higher there you go and then we're going to draw the ears curving out and we're going to curve out and then we're going to curve back in almost like a leaf shape so we're going to curve out and back in and these are cheetah ears so we don't want to draw them too long he's not a bunny those are perfect and then come out and then back in yeah there you go now let's draw the top of the ear we're going to draw another curve that comes in like this on both sides and then let's draw the top of his hair we're going to draw the letter V or an upside down V right in the middle and then we're going to draw zigzags coming out to the side and look I'm getting a little smaller until we get out to the ear on both sides now from the ears we're going to draw there's a little shape that's above uh his eyes so we're going to draw a line that comes in on both sides we're going to come in from the ear the bottom of the ear on both sides yeah and then we're going to draw a diagonal line that comes up to the left and then we're going to come back out to the other side we're going to do the same thing over here on the right and it looks like we're drawing the eyes the this is a shape it's almost like the eyebrows okay and then let's draw the Insignia right here the maximals Insignia right here we're going to draw a square shape or a rectangle right in between but a little higher yeah and then at the bottom of that we're going to draw the letter v and then we're going to draw a diagonal line that comes out to the left and also out to the right okay now let's draw his eyes and we're going to draw almost the same shape as the eyebrow but going the other way so we're going to draw a line right here we're going to come across on both sides so it's a little shorter than the eyebrow line it looks like his eyes are closing yeah it does I'm going to draw it a little closer to the side of his head on each side so this could even come a little further closer then we're going to draw two short lines down one on each side then we're going to draw the bottom of the eye we're going to draw come in out like this and then right about here we're going to draw a diagonal line up to connect and we'll do the same thing on the right side Short Line and then to diagonal line up now let's draw his mouth we're going to start here and we're going to draw an upside down U shape right here for his mouth then let's draw a short line up and then we're going to draw the letter V for the nose we're going to connect the top to make an upside down triangle and then let's color in the nose shape and then we're going to make the little cheetah marks on the face so we're going to draw a short line down on each side from the eye and then we're going to draw a curve down to the cheek on each side now it's starting to look like a cheetah or a cheetor we're going to draw a little thicker curve down here we're going to draw another curve that comes straight down well curves down and connects to where we ended then let's color in that shape on both sides now let's draw his body we're going to draw a curve that comes out from his cheek so we're going to curve out and up and we're going to stop just past his ear on each side so we're going to repeat that same line since it's symmetrical on both sides so we want to try to match on both sides yeah then we're going to draw a straight line that comes up and then right above his ear we're going to curve over his ear on both sides we're going to come straight up and then curve over on both sides then let's draw a line straight down and connect to the ear then we're going to imagine that line going behind his head and coming out the bottom on both sides yeah then let's draw two diagonal lines we're going to draw one right here and then we're going to draw one a little higher but come down closer let's do the same thing over here we're going to draw a curve coming up and out and then another one coming up higher then let's draw more fur on his back we're going to connect the two shoulders together so we're going to draw oh let's just draw like we did for the head we'll draw an upside down V right in the middle then we're going to draw more zigzags that come down and connect to the right and also to the left or I switch those to the left and also to the right there we go there's the body now let's draw his legs we're going to draw a line that comes straight down over the fold on both sides nice then right here let's draw another diagonal line that comes out oh it kind of looks just like it's coming straight out on each side and we're going to come out to the same width yes and then we're going to draw a straight line that comes down to match that straight line in the middle then let's draw a short line to connect the arms to the shoulders oh it's looking so cool you're doing a great job Austin thank you okay now let's connect right here this is for the knees on both sides and then right here on the fold we're going to draw a line that comes across on both sides now let's draw the rest of the leg we're going to draw a straight line coming down further on each side so we draw on the outside coming down and on this side coming down too this line could come down just a little further to match the other side and I'm going to draw mine coming down so that there's the same length as yours now let's draw a short line that comes in on both sides and it's kind of short then we're going to draw the rest of the leg we're going to draw it coming up like this we're going to curve around and then we're going to connect almost where the fold is just below the fold yeah and then let's do the same thing over here we're going to draw coming up and we're going to curve right into the elbow or the knee yes and then now let's draw the feet we're going to first draw an upside down U so we're going to start here we're going to come up over and then back down then let's draw the same upside down U over here for the other foot then we're going to draw another upside down U but watch I'm going to start in the same place we're going to come up but look it gets thicker in the middle and then we're going to come back down and end in the same place then let's do that same thing over here too to match then we're going to draw the Clause the claws are really cool we're going to draw a sharp letter v that's skinny and tall and we're going to draw two sharp letter V's over here also for the claws then we can draw the bottom of the foot we're going to connect here we're going to imagine it going between the claws and Connect into the other side do you think that's a pretty cool foot yeah then we're going to do the same thing on this one connect all the way over now let's add a few more details to the legs we're going to draw a upside down letter v right here on the ankle will come in and then down and we could do the same thing over here in and down then let's draw a circle inside of that little rectangle shape and then we're going to draw an upside down yeah there you go and then we're going to draw an upside down letter V going the other way on both legs cool what's our cheetor missing a tail yeah let's draw the tail we're going to draw a curve coming down from the shoulder like this and out to the side then we're going to draw another curve that matches that one right next to it or right below it and then we're going to connect the top and the bottom with a sideways U then let's draw extra details on the tail we're going to draw another curve right down the middle and then we're going to draw a sideways letter V's we're going to draw two of them we'll draw a diagonal line to the middle and then back to the bottom we did it we finished drawing cheetor in the cheetah form and then or the Beast form we're gonna open him up and then we're gonna flatten out the paper so it's easier to draw on now we have the cheetah up here or the cheetah head up here this is actually going to disappear when we transform them but we're going to open it up so it's just easier to draw on and then we got the legs down here and we're going to extend these up into the body when he's in robot form so we're going to come up here and we're going to draw a right in the middle so right in between the legs we're going to come up halfway and we're going to just draw a really short line we're going to just draw super short so yeah use your eyes and then right in the middle we're going to draw just a line Short Line yes and then we're going to draw it's almost like we're repeating the same step that we did for the head now we're going to draw the letter V we're going to draw coming up like this and we're going to stop about there and we're going to do the same thing over here on this side so we've got this letter V right in the middle then on each side we're going to draw a diagonal line it comes in just a little on each side or it could go straight up either way now let's jump up here we're going to draw the shoulders so we're going to draw another line just like we drew it right in the middle so if we split between here we drew it right in the middle we're going to split in between here and you could also use a ruler but right in between these two folds we're going to draw another line that comes this one's going to be a lot wider so we're going to draw a line that comes across straight and we want it to be the same on both sides so we want it to be the same length and I'm going to make a little wider so he's super strong with his wide shoulders yeah and you could draw a little wider too on each side there you go nice let's see yeah that looks great you could even come out just a little bit further I think maybe to there on that side just use your eyes to measure now we're going to draw a big letter of U but first let's draw a straight line that comes down on each side we're going to draw cheetor even though he's a robot he looks super muscular with lots of muscles now we're going to draw a big letter U we're going to come down here we're going to connect to here we'll come down a little bit lower and then we're going to come back up to the other side and Connect into this curve so we've got this big U shape nice now right here let's add a little detail and also on this side we'll add another detail then we're going to draw right in the middle so we're going to also measure again this is really fun to use our eyes to measure halfway in between so right in the middle we're going to draw another straight line straight across then we're going to draw a diagonal line that comes up to here and also to match on the other side then we're going to come up here and we're going to draw a short diagonal line in on both sides then we're going to draw a line to connect those two together I love how many how much details are on cheetor's body so we're going to draw two more lines right down the middle and then let's draw a circle in the middle too and we could also draw a line straight across we're going to draw another little detail here we're going to draw a diagonal line that comes up on both sides and then we're going to draw a straight line out from those diagonal lines okay now let's draw stomach muscles we're going to draw an upside down kind of u-shape or rectangle shape and then from here we're going to draw a line straight down almost looks like a face looks like another cheetah face doesn't it then we're going to draw another line straight down here too oh yeah it's like these are the eyes right here yeah okay now let's draw watch this we're going to draw a diagonal line that matches the top okay we're gonna go past just a little bit and then we're going to do that same diagonal line on the other side and come in so it's equal yeah them look at this shape right here this little upside down Square U shape we're going to draw another one to connect those two lines together oh it's challenging but you're doing such a great job thank you let's do another diagonal line that comes down here on both sides let's extend and come in further into the stomach part I'm gonna go even a little further and then we're going to go up over and back down okay now we're gonna do one more we can fit it in there just barely we're going to draw lower on each side and then let's go up over and back down to connect yes okay now let's draw his head we're gonna come up here and we're gonna draw two lines coming out of his shoulder so we're going to draw one here we're going to come up and then we're gonna draw another one next to it coming up yeah and you could even draw a little closer to the top of the fold if you want so this can come up just a little bit further so it matches on both sides oh and I like that you drew the head wider that's going to be easier for you to add the details now let's draw the ears on both sides it kind of looks like he has ears on top of his head and then we're going to draw a little curve that comes over and connects now let's draw the eyes we're going to draw two lines for the eyes let's make them a little thicker we're going to draw two short lines down in the middle then we're going to come out and connect to the outside or the top and then we'll do the same thing over here okay and then let's add a nose we're going to draw a little U shape between then let's draw a short line in it looks like he has a mask so we're going to draw two short lines on each side then we're going to connect these up to his eyes on both sides then let's draw another diagonal line going down on each side and then we'll connect at the bottom for the chin then let's draw an upside down use shape right there on the face and then we can also draw lines straight down on each side of his neck that looks awesome okay now let's draw a little rectangle shape for the maximals Insignia on the forehead now let's come down here we're going to finish the knees let's draw up over and back down so we make the knees a little taller on each side then at the top of each knee we're going to add two dots and then right here above the fold we're going to add a little square shape but we want to make sure that's above the fold now let's draw the rest of his legs and connect it to the body we're going to draw a curve that comes down and connects to the knee on the left side and also on the right side then right here let's draw two circles we're going to draw right on top of each other and we'll draw two circles on top of each other on the other side then let's draw a line underneath the circles and then connect to the middle and we could do the same on the right now let's draw the inside of his legs we'll start right here and we're going to draw a line that comes down then we're going to curve and connect to there and let's curve and connect on the right side super strong legs then we're going to draw extra lines on the legs these kind of look like muscles we're going to draw a curving and connecting to the knee so start on the outside of the leg right here and then we're going to connect down to there and then let's do the same here then let's draw another line right here we'll curve in and then draw a line down let's do the same thing right here curve in and down okay what's cheat or missing his arms yeah his arms and let's draw them super strong we're going to start here we'll draw a line that comes straight up yeah and then let's draw a Short Line in and then back down in and down next right here let's draw a circle and I'm just going to draw the same thing on each side I love it when we draw symmetrical things because when you draw over here we're always going to draw on this side too yeah so let's do the same thing we're going to connect on the top of the circle and the bottom of the circle into the body okay and then we can draw a short diagonal line coming down then we're going to draw a short diagonal line going back up then let's draw a short line up and then we're going to connect into the shoulder up and then Connect into the shoulder okay let's draw a short line to the left then we're going to curve all the way up to the top so we've got these really strong shoulders and we're going to draw a short line on this side too and curve up to there yeah and then right at the end of the shoulder we're going to draw another rectangle shape this next shape is his bicep we're going to draw coming down in and then back up and it looks like a rectangle shape we're going to go down out and back up this is his bicep now we're going to draw his forearm we're going to draw a another line coming further down and I'm going to stop about halfway if you were to measure between these two folds so we're going to draw that coming down and we're going to do the same on the outside or on the right side then let's draw a Short Line in this is for the wrist and then we're going to draw a real big curve like this and then straight in so it looks like a strong muscle and then we'll draw a curve out again and then straight in okay now let's add a few more details we're going to draw a rectangle shape on the wrist and over here then let's draw a square in the middle then let's draw two lines coming down from the bicep then let's add it looks like more armor right here we're going to draw a shape that comes out and down and then another one over here too now we're going to draw his hand and we're going to draw it in a fist then we're going to draw a diagonal line coming down and in then let's draw a u shape we'll start on the outside we're going to curve around and then connect curve around and connect then we can draw a thumb we're going to draw a Short Line in and up and then he has claws coming out of his wrist or on top of his fist we're going to draw a diagonal line that comes down or straight down and then we want the claws to be sharp so we'll start at the point come up and then into the wrist and then we'll do another one down draw a point at the end and then into his wrist awesome we did it we finished drawing cheetor he looks really cool except we're not completely done we still need to color it yeah this part will fast forward but at the end you can pause the video to match our same color before we speed things up we're using our art for kids Hub markers and we picked out all of our colors so if you have the same set you can follow along and use the same numbers but don't worry if you don't have the same set you can use a completely different brand of markers and just try to match our same colors or you could use something else completely different like colored pencils or even crayons or oil pastels now the colors that we picked out are 33 yellow 24 orange yeah and 103 Brown then we have 59 green this is a light green we'll use for the eyes then we have two Grays cg7 and cg5 yeah the cg5 is a lighter gray and then we also have a darker gray now first let's color in all of the yellow parts and remember to pause the video and take time to color your drawings you can pause it at the end so you can match what parts we color yellow you're doing great Austin now I'm switching to cg5 this is the lighter or medium gray and all of the other parts I'm going to color in Gray except for the eyes those are green next I'm using 24 orange and I'm layering this on top of the yellow to add Shadows to make cheetor look more 3D and you could also leave this part off to keep the lesson a little easier then you can also do the same thing with a darker gray I'm using cg7 and you could use this to add shadow on the gray part so I'm going to draw or color in a little line down each side of his body then we could also go underneath here and also the mechanical Parts you could add a darker layer on top of that too if you want I'm going to add this underneath the chin and oh also maybe right here above the chest and down the middle of his chest oh and this part right here too now we just have one more step it doesn't quite look like a cheetah what are we missing the spots yeah the spots let's use Number 103 this is a brown color and we can add a few spots on the shoulder so I'm going to draw these spots some of them big and some small you can mix up this size and then also mix up kind of where they're located so they're not right next to each other or side by side I'm going to add a few spots on the left side too and up on the shoulder oh and we could also color inside the ear to make that part darker too now down here on the body let's add spots also on his chest and I'm going to draw small spots and big spots and mix them up drum all over his body and then even on his shoulder too let's draw a few over there too let's also draw a few spots down here on his bicep muscles [Music] also we did it we finished drawing and coloring chidor and it looks awesome especially all folded up in his cheetah form except let's show our friends what he looks like transformed into the robot on the count of three okay oh wait I gotta tell you the secret though usually with our folding surprises we pull the whole thing up like this this time we're going to do a little different and we're just going to open up the full ready three two one that's awesome you look so cool all transformed you did such a great job how old are you 11 11 and this was a tricky lesson but you did awesome and I especially love that our two drawings don't look exactly the same and it's okay if your drawings look different too because the most important thing is have fun yeah and two practice remember to have fun and practice and I'm sure your drawings turned out really cool this was a challenging lesson and took us a while but there's so much detail yes we also want to give a special shout out to Paramount Pictures for sponsoring this art lesson thank you very much Transformers rise of the Beast is only in theaters June 9th again we hope you had so much fun and we'll see you later our friends goodbye [Music]
