hey our friends were glad you're with us again we're going to do another awesome Pokemon today are we all right you got your marker dope you guys are gonna follow along with us that's something to draw with and a piece of paper in front of you Blastoise is awesome on yeah he's super awesome all right checkers we're gonna start with our paper horizontal and we're gonna start with his eye and it's gonna be towards the top of our paper and we're gonna be off to the left a little bit so that we have room to do this big shell and his big gun that's coming off his back okay alright so we're gonna make him angry so we're gonna do one diagonal line to start his eye the top of his eye like that okay okay maybe a little lower so that you have room to put the top of his head there you go in there that's a good spot good job okay and then we're gonna come back with the bottom of his eye and then we're gonna connect it back up to the top good and then let's extend the top of his eye just a little past the rest of his eye so it looks like his eyebrow a little bit there we're gonna draw the inside of his eye so draw a big in a u-shape okay and then a little dot inside that for the his pupil alright k now let's draw the top of his eye the top of his eyebrow so a line that comes over the top and then back down put him upside down checkmark that's your ha alright K now let's draw the top of his nose and it's going to connect to his eye and then come over here so we're gonna connect to his eye right there and then we'll come across for the top of his nose we're gonna draw it so that his mouth is open it's gonna look really cool good job then we're gonna curl back around for the front of his nose kay and I skate now we're gonna put a point we're gonna come straight across from his mouth or the the top of his nose where we started we're gonna put a little point right here off to the side straight across from it and that's where we're gonna end his mouth we're gonna do a big s line that connects to that point okay so we're gonna come up for the beginning of his mouth and then we're gonna come up come across and then back up kind of an S line I made a little wobbly it's okay we're practicing right okay that looks salt that looks super awesome we're gonna draw his teeth in there now we can do a little V right there for the first tooth now we're gonna come right below his eye over here and do another V for his other tooth awesome okay now let's get some nostrils in there do a little upside down you and another upside-down u on this side of his nose over here good it's looking really cool man okay now let's do the other side of his head so it looks 3d we're gonna have a little curve comes over the top right there and then it's gonna come we're gonna imagine that coming through and continuing right there and it's about halfway almost a little halfway over his nose okay now let's draw his other eyebrows so we're drawing this part of his eye that's over on this other side so we're going to come out of that curve I'm gonna come down over here and then back into his nose doesn't that look like the other side of his eyebrow yeah yeah it looks really cool it looks more 3d that way huh okay and then I put a little little line right here for his eyebrow coming into his nose okay let's let's continue with his mouth and then we're going to come back around and finish his head we're draw a little curve that comes down from his tooth this is the back side of his mouth okay good job then we're going to come back over here and kind of right where his eyebrows coming down so inside of this line we're going to come in and we're going to draw a big kind of jape that comes around and then it connects into that that curve that we just drew that looks awesome he's gonna have a really big head it's so cool dude we might need to extend your paper - it's gonna be awesome alright so let's draw another tooth right here for the bottom another upside-down V over here on this side and it's kind of just to the right of the top of the top tooth good okay now it's draws big tongue in there we're going to draw a big curve comes down and into that tooth I'm gonna draw a little line that comes down the middle of his tongue perfect okay now let's finish the bottom part of his jaw so we're going to come over here and we're going to come a diagonal we can put another point this is where we're going to start his jaw and then this jaw line is gonna come down and make another cut a J I got a little thin it should be thicker huh yeah that should be a lot thicker so the distance between this line and this line should be a lot bigger that's okay we're practicing all right okay so we're gonna come down we're gonna do his ear now we're gonna draw a kind of a v-shape comes back sideways V and then it connects into that jaw so come down and then I brought the V in line with his eyebrow right there so you're gonna come down to about point right there and then connect it into that job good job yeah you're I think you're connected here yeah there's a little flat spot hey now let's put a triangle inside his ear and then we can color that in good job awesome okay now let's put his other ear on the other side of his head it's a little upside down V on this side too looks 3d awesome okay then we got one more line and then we're done with his head so this little line right here a curved line so the bottom part of his jaw is kind of a tan color and top part is blue that looks awesome huh yeah it's really cool so that's the only thing I would do different is make this line a little further away from the inside of his mouth so it was a little thicker on his chalk okay let's keep going okay all right dude let's draw his arm next okay so we're gonna draw the part of his shell that's coming off of his shoulder and so we're gonna draw a curved line will come up right next to his ear we're gonna draw a curved line it comes down and it's not it doesn't come down too far okay just in little ways and we're going to draw a line right next to that one that's parallel so it runs right next to it and it ends at the same spot good okay then we're gonna draw we're gonna come back we're gonna finish that a little bit later but we're gonna put a big kind of half circle right here for his shoulder okay we're gonna come around draw big not really it's a little more than a half circle but that's going to be his shoulder okay so we're gonna leave some space right there come down here and do that see shape right there we're gonna make a couple more C shapes good that's awesome perfect okay now we're going to do another C shape inside of that and this is going to be for the next part of is--it the next part of his arm but this one I'm going to draw the C tips a little bit in a different direction so see how the C was this way and then this one is this way and that way we can make his arm look like it's curving okay now we're going to draw is the next one and this one also got a little smaller than that one too so this one's going to get even smaller and then this one's gonna be for his hand and that was kind of a weird C shape good so yeah you can start here and then draw that last one and then it kind of looks like his arm is curving around good job okay now let's get is cool claws in there okay so we're gonna draw a V sideways V actually let's do the full thing let's do it W do another V connected and then one more be connected for the last claw good job now we're going to connect those so we're going to connect that be and then we'll connect good and then this one we're gonna connect with kind of a upside-down J shape oh yeah no it's perfect you're doing it and then this one is gonna connect to a little curve there we go and then we can come back in and see the C we can finish it and imagine it going through to the other side and this I'm gonna connect a little bit more like that awesome we got his first arm in there okay now let's come back up here we're going to finish this design that's coming off of his shoulder it's gonna come around and run parallel with that first C and then into his armpit then we're going to drop this one and it's going to come around the back side of this c2 like this good job man he's looking awesome okay now let's finishes let's come down here and do his leg next okay okay so it's gonna be overlapping behind his behind this hand so we're gonna do it big this is for his knee they're coming down and coming back up and that's for his for his knee good good job Kate then we can come down let's do his foot we'll do two lines that come off of this line good now we're gonna do we're gonna connect these two lines but we're gonna do it with a little W a small double your case will come out do a spike on this side we're going to do this a little different so watch me we're going to do the same size spike on this side okay and then we'll do a bigger spike in the middle to connect those two and that way these two spikes the two claws on the outside match and then the one on the inside is bigger and then we'll do it upside down bees to connect those sweet good job okay we got his first leg in there now let's draw his belly and then we'll do his other arm and his other leg next okay so his belly is behind these two things so that's why we're doing it next then his arm and his foot are going to be behind his belly so that's where we're gonna do those last all right so we're gonna come inside of his chin right here we're gonna do a big s line that's going to come around and it's going to end right here at the bottom of this kind of foot right here okay so we're gonna do a little s and s line that comes that starts here comes around for his belly and then it's gonna curve in to his leg right at the bottom yeah that looks awesome got a little pointy little pointy belly but that's okay that's alright you so you can round it off and then we can color it and probably cover it up a little bit if you want good yeah go ahead keep going good and you know one of those lines could actually just turn into the texture that's on his belly so let's come up here and we'll do the neck line right here that comes in so it comes out of his jaw and goes into his shoulder and then let's color that in Kait now let's put the texture on his belly so he's got I'm gonna turn my paper like this so I can curve the line so we're gonna curve one line into his arm like that then we're gonna curve the second line and these are curved and there we could also call these contour lines because they make his body look more 3d or round huh okay and then we'll do one more down here at the bottom awesome that looks really good okay now let's work on his other his other arm over here so we'll put this line right here is going to be a line on this side to do a little curve right there in his chest good then we're gonna do the first segment of his arm so it's a little C shape so that's this line and actually let's come down and this next one and let's do his his what's that called me is me I drew a blank therefore say alright so we're gonna do a big curve that comes out and that's because this knee is gonna be in front of his of his arm when it's coming down over here so good then we're gonna come back up to his belly he looks so cool with all of his armor huh then we're gonna do a little line comes down from his knee good and then let's draw his toe that comes out it's a little claw it comes out then we're going to come back over on this side and we're gonna draw well actually let's draw a straight line we're gonna draw a straight line from the bottom all the way over that the bottom of his foot good and then let's connect this line into that like that okay and then let's extend his toe up just a little bit more so you have a little more space and you can do the toe that's on the back of his foot no claw it's back there good and then let's draw this line coming down just a little more inside and then we're gonna draw this other toe and then back down perfect you did it man that says other that's the second foot okay guys come up and finish his other his other arm I'm gonna do a big see this and that's why we did his leg next is so that it can overlap behind his leg and then let's do his other the last circle for his hand and then let's do the spikes one two three yeah I'm fun yeah he looks so cool good job that looks awesome man so one thing that we could work on huh is we could probably make this foot a little bit longer or we could have drawn this foot a little shorter see how this one's a little yeah what a little lower oh yeah this line right here goes into his shoulder so this yeah the first circle that you did could have been a little bit bigger his shoulder yeah that's alright we're practicing right yeah it's tool and we're having fun yeah all right okay let's do a shell man let's do his gun first so we're gonna draw a big circle right here that's coming out right AB diagonal from his shoulder okay so job big circle big big well it's kind of small then color it in for a gun that's a pretty big circle yeah okay and then we're going to draw another circle that goes around that one and we want we want to keep this space even around it so you can kind of take your time and draw the outside part of the gun it's even all the way around it and instead of shooting like bullets out of it she didn't want it oh it doesn't that's awesome all right Kate now let's draw we're gonna draw a short line that comes off of each side and we want those lines to be pointing right into his body okay and then we're going to draw a line that matches this one so we're going to connect these two lines and we're going to match that curve that goes around the the opening of his gun yes just like that it looks so good okay now let's draw the the box that goes around around the gun so we'll draw another line that comes straight out and then it's going to connect in and then we'll draw another line on this side connects and over on this side and we can fill the fill that in you good ok now let's draw the the outside of that box so we're going to come right next to that line and draw another parallel line and then we're going to draw another parallel line on this side and we want that distance to be equal on both sides good ok now we can draw a curved line that's going to connect those two so I'm turning it this way so it's a little easier to draw so and then we're going to connect so I'm going to imagine that going through his gun and then coming out the other side like that and won't connect it right there awesome ok now let's draw a shell we'll finish this show we're going to draw a line right here comes out and it's kind of short then we're going to connect it there and then we're going to connect it here awesome okay now let's draw a little sliver down here that goes into his into his knee good okay now we're going to come up here we're going to finish his shell so this line that's coming through his gun we imagine it coming over here and then we're going to connect it right into right here we're gonna come down curved and like this into his body there's the back of a shell and then there's a line that connects that divides the shell into a second piece like that awesome okay and then he's got his little tail sticking out so draw a curved line a curved line back oh yeah five minutes okay we got to get it in color don't we yeah it looks super awesome let's pick out our colors all right checkers we've got our colors picked out we got a ton of colors don't we so we're gonna use a bunch because we're going to do some shading but we're not gonna use a gradiated shading we're going to just do block shading and highlighting so that just means we're going to use solid colors and we'll show you a little bit later okay so we got pale green we got a light blue we got regular blue what's this brown called we're gonna use this for the shading Van Dyke Brown and then this I think it's just a regular Brown and we have a deep gray a light gray or yeah light gray they also have red rose madder and what's this one called yellow gray and then also the last color is pale Brown okay so we got what we tried to do so far our friends don't have the same colors what we tried to do is just get a light version and dark version of the same color so we try to get a light blue and a dark blue a light brown and a dark brown light gray and I like dark grey light red and a dark red and then kind of a tan color in that darker tan cool alright so you ready yeah first step we're going to do is we're gonna work on his on the blue so we're gonna start with all of the light colors first so let's get our light blue and we're using pintail oil pastels we'll leave a link in the description below where our art friends can pick them up but you can just use regular oil pastels or regular colored pencils too if you want yeah okay let's start so we're gonna do a sliver of highlight on the top of his nose right here and also do this along the edge of his eyebrow that's on the backside here okay and then we can do a little sliver on his ear and we're doing the light first because it's easier it is easier to put the light down first and then put the dark next to it and then we're going to do a light sliver on top of this eyebrow and we can do a little over the top there we go and then just a little on top of this ear sweet okay now let's come down here and do his arm so we're gonna do a sliver on the first segment second segment and then on his hand okay and then let's come back over here and we're gonna do a circle eyed over half circle I guess I can color it in a little bit more right here on the edge this is where the light is hitting his arm and because his arm is a spear shape we're gonna do the highlight a circle shape that makes sense kind of and then we're gonna do the same thing on this segment so on his elbow a little circle won't come over here I'll do that same kind of shape here so it's a lot like contour lines you know how we drew we draw this like we drew this line right here curved so that it makes his belly look curved and then the highlight that's going to be on these shapes is curved to to try and make his the the the shapes that his arm is made out of make them look round alright let's come down here and we'll do a highlight on his knee we're gonna do the same thing it's going to be curved almost like a circle okay and then we can come down here I can also do a highlight on the side of his foot and then we're gonna come over here on this side and do a sliver on his me if we go too fast what kind of friends do yeah you can pause the video all right you got it now I'm gonna put a little sliver to down the front of his foot okay we're done with our light blue let's get our dark blue we're gonna come in and we're gonna fill in the rest okay okay so that's fast-forward you all right checkers were done with the blue so we're gonna put that off to the side what should we do next Billie is belly okay let's get our light tan and or what is this call pale brown and we could also start up here with this jaw too so we're going to come up here we're gonna do the front or do his whole jaw and fill it in and then we're gonna come down here we're gonna leave shadow from his head so we're gonna draw a kind of a u-shape not kind of it is you shape right here and this is going to be for his head the shadow inside of that is going to be a dark darker brown and we're going to come down we're going to do another line for the shadow that's under his belly so we're gonna draw another line that comes up and into his arm right here and then we're going to color everything in between so in between these two lines okay okay let's fast forward again okay checkers now we're going to do little slivers we're going to use the same color for his claws so we do a on the let's see the top edge or the left side of his claws because the lights going to be shining this way so we're going to put a light sliver of the same color on all of his claws - okay all right k we're done with our pail brown so we can put that off to the side and we're going to use this color which is a yellow gray or just a darker version of kind of that pale this is the closest thing we have but we're going to use this as the shadow so we can go in and now fill in those other spots that we left white sweet and then I put just a little shadow on his jaw and then we're done we can move on so you put that off to this side now let's do the inside of his mouth okay we're gonna use that pink color and we're going to do a little curved line right here so that there's a shadow on the back of his tongue and we're going to color the front of us tongue with the pink and then we're going to use the dark red to color the back yeah sorry just red yeah let's switch to the red color in the back and see how that red is gonna look more like a shadow you know what I think we need a darker red let's see I'm gonna try this brown so I'm going to add this brown on top of that red and this is a dark it's just called the dark Carmen it's kind of a dark red layer that on top and then that's gonna look more like a shadow there we go that looks a little better huh yeah you could put a little red so then it looks more more red or you could use the same pink okay and then I'm gonna use that same brown for the inside of his mouth all right checkers kid now let's get that kind of crazy green and we're gonna do the little detail that goes over his shoulders and this is called pale green and we'll just fill that in yeah it's kind of a mint color cool now let's put that off to the side and we'll get our light brown and we're gonna do the highlights on his shell so we're gonna put a curved line right here and then we'll color to the top part we're gonna leave it kind of this corner area and put a little shadow in the corner area I'll order this part and we'll clear to the front part where the guns coming out and then on this side we'll leave a little diagonal line right there and then the below that's going to be in shadow and the top part will be highlight okay and then we're gonna put a little sliver on the top of the shell this part and we can do a little sliver on the bottom part too okay then we can use this this same brown old color in the bottom part of his iris and then leave a little highlight there you go and we're done and we can get our dark brown and go in and fill in the rest of his shell okay now let's finish him up dude we got his gun left and we're going to just get the light gray and color in the top part of his of the barrel solid and then we're going to color it since the lights remember shining from the left we'll color this side with the light gray and then we'll get the dark deep gray and one quarter this side shadow Oh check it out man we finished him he looks so cool doesn't did you have fun yeah oh it's a lot of fun this is probably one of my favorites now huh yeah okay so less thing that we can do let's get our black film and you can just go over some of the lines and darken them in so that they show up because some of these colors cover up the black black markers not all right so let's speed it up and we'll finish this last little detail sweet dude now those lines look like they pop a lot more hot yes yeah so that helps a ton to go back over with that black oil pastel make those might look a lot darker promise you had fun yeah that was your favorite part come tolerate that was my favorite part cute and I really loved his show man that gun looks awesome goodbye we hope you guys had a lot of fun drawing Blastoise with us and we'll see you at our friends garage
