hey art friends i'm rob and this is chocolate we're gonna do another cool minecraft drawing today aren't we yeah yeah all right dude you got your marker yeah we hope you guys are gonna follow along with us you got something to draw with and a piece of paper in front of you if you go too fast you can always what pause the video yes pause the video and remember if you get frustrated be sure to take a break because the most important thing is what you just dropped what's the most important thing when we're drawing to have fun yes it's not important that your drawing looks perfect it's important that you're having fun right yeah all right you ready to draw because you dropped the marker all right dude you ready now now you're ready okay we're gonna we've already drawn a creeper before but we're doing it again because i kind of thought the first time we did it it was a little too hard so we're gonna try and make this easier and we also said that we were going to color the creeper and we never did okay first step let's we're going to do his head and it's going to be a square right in the middle of the paper but towards the top okay so we're going to do a square and to do a square i usually do an l and you want to make sure that this line and this line are the same length okay so you can kind of look at them and this one might be a little short good and you're gonna do the other side awesome that's a squirrel it's easy yes so we do the other side once we get those lines right and then this line needs to be the same over here and then we connect the top you know what parallel lines mean yes what does parallel mean parallel means like the same one both yeah well kind of it means that these these two lines are parallel and these two lines are parallel and you know what perpendicular lines are no these two lines are perpendicular you see that so this means so this line goes straight into this line it's not at an angle look at this it's not at an angle like that it's straight into it so that's perpendicular and this is parallel cool these lines will never touch they're not tipped like this so when you do perspective lines will tip like this but these are parallel cool all right let's keep going yeah purple perpendicular and parallel peas then i spit in your face all right let's keep drawing yeah all right this is getting boring we need to speed it up okay this bottom line we're going to extend out slightly further than the square and then we're going to tip this line down so these two lines are not parallel right so this line is tipped slightly down and that's because we're kind of we're trying to add a little perspective to our creeper perfect okay perfect perpendicular and parallel okay let's draw now we're going to draw his body so we're going to draw and we the easiest way to draw a straight line without a ruler is to make sure that your paper is straight in front of your body and then you're going to drag the line towards your body okay if your paper is like this and you're trying to draw a straight line it's a little hard paper it's kind of hard so um make sure the paper's straight and then draw drag that line straight down and i think it's fun to practice without a ruler but if our art friends want to use a ruler that's totally cool look how straight that was dude hey now we're going to draw the other side of his the back part of his body so we're going to start here and we're going to drag the line straight down awesome okay now we're going to come back over here and we're going to draw the other part of his body and let's not go all the way down we're going to stop pretty short so that we can draw his foot over here stepping up and we might come down further but we're going to leave it up there so that we don't drop too far okay ready for his legs there's feet down here yep creeper feet okay we're gonna draw a diagonal line right here across the bottom of his body good and yours is really angled and but that's cool see how mine's not tipped as much but that's totally fine i think yours is going to turn out just fine okay now we're going to extend this line and i didn't have the paper straight with my body and we're going to bring this line also down cool okay i'm gonna bring this out just a little more there we go okay now we're gonna draw we're gonna bring this line down and we're gonna do the same line right here except we're not going to connect it in the middle okay we need to leave this as a gap because we're using markers if you have a pencil you can just draw it straight through and then erase this but we're going to so here we go right right like that and you want these to end at the same distance as the top line wait so yeah that's good to be the same as that yep okay yeah so yeah so if you were to draw a straight line up that's where you want it so you need to extend the top one just a little further good i should get a ruler huh we have a ruler nice pink ruler for our parallel and perpendicular lines sorry did i spit in your face again sorry i'll stop being awake okay so we're going to draw now we're going to draw this line are you going to get a ruler yeah all right we're gonna start using rulers our friends can use rulers too if they want so we're gonna draw this line right there make sure make sure this is straight that's okay so you want to make sure that this is straight with the paper like that okay but that's all right it's okay it's cool okay now we're gonna do the same over here right make sure it's straight there you go good and then you can connect it perfect good job okay now we're going to draw a line that goes into his body up here at the top yeah you could just draw it good and then that same line that same line we're going to move down here and connect this leg in good job okay now this line that that we drew there we're going to draw another parallel line to that one i'm going to draw it right here top of his legs there's feet and we're going to do the same right here and same right here good keep going in this line i tried to stop in the middle for our art friends this line should be kind of in the middle of his body good okay let's connect those so this line should be straight up and down oop and get a little wobbly and then we connect these and this line this line and this line should all be the same length if you were to measure that they should all be the same length that one's a it's a little short so this one's a little long in the back that's okay what you doing you drawing that other line this line are you measuring them good that looks awesome okay now we're going to draw a line from from this corner the middle of his body we're just going to draw it straight up this is we're gonna make him stepping like he's walking good good job okay now we're gonna do a line down oops and i want to make that perpendicular to that line i didn't make it perpendicular so in this line this line right here should be the same length as this one so let's measure it so it's about three measure it about three perfect okay then we're gonna do a parallel line to this line oh i'll let you do yours so i'll probably go right there mm-hmm that the right length good okay and then we're gonna do a parallel line to this line okay so we can move our ruler down like this yep and don't connect yours i'm going to connect mine into the we'll go a little further so i connected mine right here but leave yours maybe just go to this uh go right there don't connect it all the way because we're gonna draw you gotta i'll show you and then stop yep and then you could draw a little line that goes up good awesome hey we're going to extend this just a little further and then connect them wait mine too yeah let's see yeah you can extend it out just a little bit and then this is going to be the other side of his foot and then i'm going to bring connect this the rest of his body down awesome so it kind of looks like his his legs up and off to the side a little bit and let's put the bottom of his foot on so that little dark spot and then his toenails his toenails this gross toenails okay you got that on there and we put a little square off to the side there and we'll do the same over here so it's a parallel line at the bottom of his foot and then we'll do the same little square on the back side of this foot awesome he looks really cool he's missing his face though huh so we're going to do two squares for his eyes and we want them kind of towards the top of his head but not too close okay so we'll do the same thing we'll do a little l shape make sure those lines are the same or equal and then we'll connect it and then the backwards though and then yeah and then we'll do another l over here and you want the squares to be the same size the cool thing about these with using markers is you can kind of sketch them in a little bit because we're going to color them in okay once you get those squares we're gonna connect the bottom you got it and connect the bottom then we're gonna extend the bottom extend this line down on both sides and we're going to do a backwards l and a forward cell as for his mouth good and then we'll extend these all the way straight down both sides then in the middle we're going to pretend like this line comes all the way down or do another line here same on this side bring that down and then connect them all right let's color those in awesome i think this one turned out better yeah okay now let's color the his toenails in gross black toenails you should see a doctor about those yeah well there is a skin in minecraft you can be a doctor and then you're like then you can fix the creepers toenails yeah you just probably all right dude he looks awesome he looks really cool you did a great job on your creeper was that fun yeah it's a little easier than the last one wasn't it so let's color them okay all right checkers we got our colors all picked out we're just going to use green right it's not any other color well he does have kind of a dark dark green and he has some gray and and some black and some white on him but we are going to keep this really simple we're just going to show our art friends how to shade with uh how to shade a cube with green and then if they want they can add the texture back in okay okay so we're going to keep it really simple but i want to show you really quick how we're going to do a cube so if we have our cube like this well here's our cube right and which is kind of everything in minecraft right we're going to shade so to shade a cube we need three colors we need three different shades of green so we're going to use this one for the front it's this kind of light green then we're going to have a dark green for this side like this and what are we going to do for the top um a lighter one a lighter green we don't have a lighter green how are we going to do a lighter green put white on top you're smart so we'll put this light green on and then we're going to do a layer of white on top of that green that we just did and that'll make it look lighter excuse you you're still kind of sick huh yeah so there we go that's kind of a that's a kind of a weird-looking cube but so there we go we got dark we have three tones of green we have three shades of green so we have uh a light medium and a dark so we're going to do the same on our creeper okay so we're going to use the light green first and let's color his face we don't want to color over the black and we'll speed this up too ready right now perfect okay now we're going to do the front of his body okay we'll do the same thing we'll color the whole thing in nice and solid and we'll speed this up right now all right okay now which side would we color this shade of green this tone of green what what side of this cube would we do would we do the top the left or the right um right yes the right good okay now what side would we do on this one the right yes let's do it okay now what side would we do on the back one would we do the left or the right right yes so even though this is this would be in shadow because it's underneath we're not going to worry about the shadow okay so we're just going to shade it the same way we're doing all the other bricks or the other parts of our creeper good okay now let's get the dark green and we're going to do all of the left sides of the cubes okay we don't want to color the top of his feet we're going to we're going to leave those for last okay perfect okay now we're going to get our light green again we're going to do the top of his legs or his feet okay and yours are a lot bigger than your little diamonds are bigger than mine so they're good it's going to show up more but then we get the white and do a layer on top of that green can we do it on top of the back too perfect check it out dude now that was a really easy way to color a creeper huh yeah but the important thing is to remember this this rule when you're shading a cube that you've got three different greens you got the top one that's light this one that's medium and this one that's darker and you can switch those but you usually have the top being the lightest cool yeah so we could do the dark on this side if we wanted to and that would just mean that the light's coming this way instead of this way so we hope you guys had fun drawing your creepers though and we'll see you later our friends goodbye
