hey our friends here gonna be drawing a cobra yeah a really cool snake we hope you're gonna follow along with us you need uh something to draw with your marker some paper and something to color with yeah you can use a pencil if you want we're going to use markers yes all right you ready to start yep let's first draw our Cobra's eye I'm gonna draw it right about here top left of our paper we're gonna draw a little curve like that for the top of the eye and then we can draw the bottom of the eye we'll draw another curve comes down and then back up and then we can also draw let's draw the little bump that goes over the eye it's not really an eyebrow but I guess you could call it an eyebrow yeah then we're going to draw the front of our steaks nose we're going to come out like this and then down all right now we can draw the mouth we're going to start here and we're going to draw an S curve we're going to curve kind of up and then back down and then back up then we're going to start here and we're going to draw a S curve it comes down like this up and then back down now let's draw the things on our snake we're first going to start over here we're going to draw a curved view we'll curve down and then back up then we're going to draw another one right next to it down back up okay now let's draw right here at the bottom of the mouth we're going to draw a little curve coming forward then we can draw two more things we're going to draw upside down V like that and then another one right next to it next in the corner of the mouth we're going to draw a little curve there's this little tendon or muscle in the mouth right here I'm not sure what it's called but then we're going to draw the other side of the mouth we're going to curve up like that and then connect to the top of the mouth yeah all right let's color in this shape the inside of the snake's mouth then let's draw a tongue coming out of the mouth I'm going to curve out and then down and you can even add another S curve so it curves up a little bit I'm gonna make that line also thicker but watch this right at the end you can split the tongue well it's looking really cool let's also add a little nostril and also a curve for the other eye on the other side of the head now we're going to draw the the bottom of our snake's mouth or jaw we're going to draw a little curve that comes out of the bottom and then we're going to come up like this and then stop all right now let's try the rest of our snake or our Cobra we're gonna start here at the top of the head and we're gonna draw a big curve that comes out like this we're gonna come around and back like that or almost looks like a backwards C we're gonna stop here for the moment their neck gets really wide up at the top that's the part that makes them look like a cobra yeah and really scary you scared me we're gonna start here and we're gonna draw we're gonna draw a curve that comes out like this and we're gonna match we're gonna follow that first curve we're gonna come around and then we're gonna stop right about there we're gonna stop a little sooner actually let's I'm gonna come even a little further yeah this is a skinny snake yeah it looks really skinny that's just the edge of the of the little you know the things that stick out I don't even know what they're called okay we're gonna draw the rest of our snake we're gonna draw another curve it comes around like this and then we're gonna come down and connect to the neck right here nice now we're going to draw the other side of our snake our snake's neck we're gonna come around like this and this part we're going to come down further and we're going to curve around back the other way so I'm starting to look like a backwards s yeah right here where this V the V shape right here we're going to come around like this and we're going to come down and connect to the bottom now let's draw the other side or the other flap on the other side of our snake we'll start here and we're going to come around and then connect almost in about the same spot that we connect over here we've finished the belly of our snake and the neck let's draw the rest of the body we're going to start here on this line and we're going to curve around like this now we're gonna come back around like that good kind of tricky you can do it he did it good job all right now we're gonna finish the other side of the body we're gonna come down here and this is going to come around like this and then connect also into our snake right there next we're going to draw the rest of the body but we're using overlapping to make it look even more 3D like it's popping out of our paper so we're going to start with this Top Line and we're going to imagine it coming behind our snake and coming around like that and connecting back into the snake good then we're going to do the same thing with the bottom we're going to curve around like this and come back up and connect back in we're going to do that one more time we're going to imagine it going behind the snake again coming out over here and this is where the tail is going to end so we're going to just curve around like that and then we're going to come over here and then towards the top we're going to get closer and closer until we connect in all right jack we did it we finished drawing our Cobra well let's add a few more details let's add uh the little skills on the belly of our snake so the first one we're going to start like this and we're going to draw them curve to make our the belly of our cobra look more 3D so we're going to come all the way down this now about halfway down the neck this one we're going to switch to being kind of flat then as we get further down we're gonna start curving it the other way so now they're curving this way then we're gonna draw a straight line or start curving down the other direction that makes it look like the belly is curving one way and then back the other way that's it Jack we did it we finished drawing our cobra looks really cool except we still need to do what color yeah this part we're going to fast forward but at the end you can pause the video if you want to match your same coloring you ready to fast forward yes [Music] foreign foreign Jack you're doing a great job on coloring your snake man thank you now we're using our biannual markers or the colors that we use the dark brown that we're using for the main body color is y976 if you're using the same markers and then also the light brown or the medium brown is y648 and then the tan color is y611 so if you have the same markers you can use those the same colors I'm also using a white prismacolor pencil to add the Highlight on top of the snakes on top of the marker to make the snake's body look shiny or scarier I think I don't want to mess with this snake so right here I added a little highlight and then I'm also adding a highlight right here so I added this white line that goes across the snake's body and then add a little highlight on this side and we can do the same thing over here maybe right here at the end of the tail you there's a little highlight that goes across the top like that and press really hard to make the white show up more and then press lighter and lighter towards the top and that makes the Snake look even more three-dimensional you can even add a highlight on top of the head right up here and then also oh you could add a highlight on the scales on the body oh that looks really cool all right let's speed it up a little more and we'll finish it up okay [Music] Jack give me five we did it we finished coloring our cobras I love that our two drawings look a little different but they both turned out awesome it's okay if your drawings look different too yeah I'm sure they turned out amazing we love drawing with you and we'll see you later our friends goodbye [Music]
