How to Create a PDF File from an Android Device

[Music] one of the reasons people choose to use Android as their smartphone operating system of choice is thanks to the power and usability it provides Android is filled with plenty of powerful features and with virtually endless apps available it's easy to get your productivity work done with little effort at all an essential step in productivity is making sure you know how to work with PDF documents PDFs are some of the easiest files to work with since the file extension is platform agnostic but while you've probably opened a PDF file before there's a good chance you've never actually created one thankfully making one is super easy even on Android the easiest way to create a PDF file is to take a photo of the document you're scanning using your phone's camera grab your phone make sure you've installed Google Drive on your device and open the drive app to get started look for the plus icon in the lower right corner of the display and tap it to open the upload menu in Drive then select scan from the list of options on the next screen take a photo of the document you want to upload to drive drive will display your photo along with the auto-generated name of your PDF at the top of the page you can add additional scanned images by tapping on the icon in the lower left corner or you can rotate crop and adjust the image you captured using the control options below the image when you're finished hit save to create your document of course if you're trying to create a document and save it as a PDF that works too almost all word processing apps including major ones like Google Docs and Microsoft Word can save and export to PDF we suggest using Docs since it syncs with Drive and is completely free open the docs app on your phone create your document then hit the menu button in the upper right corner of your screen select share and export followed by save as and select PDF from the list of options if you've liked this guide make sure you subscribe for all sorts of videos covering Android and other technology and do not forget to check out one of these videos we think you might enjoy [Music]
