How To Catch Catfish At Night

[Music] this smaller skipjack I like to hook them right up under the jaw through the nose that's the smaller ones the bigger ones real big chunks I like to hook them up under the backbone with even bigger hook this is my standard hook ten I must add demon wide gap fine wire or 1x a lot of trees over my head I got a watch [Music] hey quite cool enough for this jacket [Music] hard for me to find big skipjacks this year really is [Music] it's the last week in October and to be honest with you it's probably the worst fall I've ever had so far at this point reason for that well for one at the beginning of October we were still having mid nineties temperatures breaking records for highs went through a lot of droughts over the summer I think everything's running a little bit behind now the weather has been right for the last two and a half weeks to get everything going the best I've done so far is if one spot I made quite a few videos that a couple thirty pound range fish several forty pound range fish and that's not bad but it's definitely a lot slacker to what it normally is this time of year either way I've made so many videos at that spot I figured I would try a backwater Creek I'm fishing anywhere from 15 to 20 foot deep here last year I caught a couple fifty pounders at this spot only fished it a couple of times I came at the right time of year officially we are at the right time of year I'm just not sure if they're here for one these bait fish are just now starting to really move into these coves and normally they're just flat full of them by now either way it's not impossible I'm close to here at the right ton and I need a change of scenery from that other spot so we're doing a little bit of October backwater Creek fishing I think I'll title this video how to catch catfish at night my skipjack isn't super fresh four to five days old last year I was having an I was having a better time catching skipjack and some bigger skipjack needs to get jacket running very small this year and hard to find either way some bait it's better than no pay all I can do now is throw it out and wait if I hear that clicker start screaming I won't hesitate last fall this place was a fairly early bite starting right at dark going into a couple hours after dark and I didn't stay late because I didn't have to I was leaving out here with 50 pound fish on video good enough for me everyone can see I caught a big fish that night so I just went to the house it's a weeknight I like to fish weeknights because everybody and their brother ain't out on the bank trying to do the same thing I am I hope I don't catch a catfish before dark because I won't count for this video so far tonight the bite is slow but there's water so there's catfish that's all I know I'm doing everything I'm supposed to rod and reel cut bait on a hook water I mean I'm going through the motions the main ingredient to catching these catfish at night is to throw your bait out there and sit and wait on a bite [Music] [Music] they're doing some huntin across the way here it feels like a big fish [Music] he's only my braided line on that other row [Music] he's a fat fish [Applause] there it is people there's how to catch catfish at night all right people hunters crossed the way there I'm gonna get out of here before the shooting starts I would stay for more but it's fixing to get noisy this is a video there was a fish in the video that makes it a fishing video this is catfish day with another one [Music]
