if you have been wanting to know how you can create amazing and cinematic looking title animations in Adobe Premiere Pro well then look no further because in this video I'm going to show you how you can create a cinematic looking title in just a few steps and if you just stick to these steps that I'm going to lay out in this video I guarantee your project opening sequence is going to look a whole lot better so my name is Vince and let's jump right into it so step one when you are creating a new title is to actually choose a font that is fitting to your project so what I mean by that is for example if you're creating like a horror movie you don't want to have like a super playful you know font something like comic sense you want to have something a bit more scary or serious now in this case I want to create something that looks very nice and cinematic so I'm going to go and use a font that is more of that kind of vibe right first of all you want to come to the graphics workspace this is the one I personally prefer for um creating my titles and then click here on new layer text and as you can see you have added your new text so now you can type in whatever you want to have on your title so I'm going to put in the city of Dubai for example because this shot is from there so now we want to make a couple adjustments to our title and that is Step number two so the first thing I'm going to do is I will actually make this a bit smaller something like that now you want to you know go ahead choose the font that you are going to use so I'm going to stick with Monster Rod this is one of my favorite fonts you can choose your font right here you know anything that you have installed to your computer is going to be available for you in terms of the weight of the font I'm probably going to go with this light one I kind of like that so after that you want to align your title wherever you want it to be so in this case I'm just going for a simple Center alignment so that is what I'm going to do now the next step is to experiment with the color of your title experimenting with different colors for your title can give your whole video a different feel or look and let's be real who doesn't like playing around with colors a little bit we all have that inner child so I actually quite like you know how it looks with just this white title but one thing that I think could look cool on this is maybe like a bright yellow so I'm going to try that out to change the color of the text you want to come here to fill here you can choose whatever color you want to go for so let's see how this one looks um I actually think that looks pretty decent but I'm probably going to stick with the white one for now because I just like the simplistic look look of that but you know sometimes it can be great to experiment with some colors try out some different ones and you can create also color contrast so for example if you have a clip of an ocean where there's a lot of like blue or turkeys if you add yellow to that which is a complementary color that would look really good and it would create a lot of color contrast alright step number four is to add a slight drop shadow to your title this is optional but usually I like to add a bit of a drop shadow to mine so to do that what you want to do is come here and where it says Shadow you want to take that box and here you can adjust your Shadow to your exact liking you can change the angle of it you can change you know how see-through It Is by changing the opacity you can change how far it is from your actual text I like to keep it rather close to it so I'm quite happy with that you know it's not a super visible drop shadow but that is exactly what I'm looking for a drop shadow can be great to make your text pop out just a little bit more from your background now if you want to in this next step you can add something to the background of your title so for example if you wanted to add some sort of little like element to it or anything like that you could do that in this case I want to keep it just simple but a lot of times when you add something to the background of your title and yeah just layer something under it it can add just that little bit of extra flavor to it alright the next step is to add a little bit of animation and keyframing to your title just to make it come really alive so I'm going to again keep it super simple for this one the length of this title I want it to be around three seconds here's what I'm going to do I want to first of all animate a little bit of a zoom in effect into this so basically I wanted to go and from here from the starting position I wanted to start slowly scaling up so I'm going to come here to the beginning of it click the scale toggle animation button and then I'm going to come to around the end of this layer and I will make the scale a little bit bigger so I will make it probably around 110 and now if we look back at this you can see how as the camera is moving forward my title is also becoming bigger and bigger right so I think that creates a pretty cool look so the next thing I'm going to animate on this is I actually am going to animate the opacity of it because I want it to go from invisible and then slowly to fade into full opacity so I'm going to come here again to the beginning click here on the toggle animation button on the opacity setting and I'm going to set it to zero and now where I want it to be you know full opacity I'm going to put it back to 100. if we watch this back you can see as it's uh you know also scaling up slowly it's also going from invisible to fully visible and then at the end I wanted to disappear again so I'm going to add a keyframe somewhere around here near the end of the text layer and then I'm going to go right to the end of it and then here I will make the opacity zero again which will add another keyframe and now if we watch this back from the beginning you can see it slowly fades in it stays for a little bit and then it fades away nicely again now the next step is to add some sound effects to this right it's very important to have some amazing music in your video and also some sound effects so I am going to add just a very slight like helicopter sound effect it is maybe some noises of the city to make this clip really just come alive alright so I got my two sound effects right here if you're wondering where I got this from I got it from epidemic sound so you can check out the link for that in the description so I'm just going to basically go ahead and add those in there so I have this one with the helicopter sound which I think is really cool so I'm going to cut that around there I want it to come in here maybe and then fade out slowly so I'm going to do that I'm also going to be animating uh the sound of these so I will add a keyframe by pressing command here in the beginning and by basically just clicking and holding command or control on your computer you can add keyframes and so I'm going to make that like zero in the beginning then slowly come in and then I wanted to slowly Fade Out and I'm going to also add the city Ambience sound right here I also want this to slowly kind of fade in at the beginning of the clip so I'm going to again press command on my keyboard and animate it to come in real slow so just like that I'm going to actually lower the helicopter sound it's just way too strong but just like that it already feels a lot more immersive now if you have a more intense animation on your title or you have some very fitting sounds that you can use for it then try to find some sound effects that are going to complement your title animation now the last part is just making sure that your title is overall well balanced and your composition looks nice right so I see a lot of people who would put their title in one of the corners of the video and it just doesn't really you know look that great A lot of times so you want to make sure most of the time that you know there are even spaces on all sides of your title you want to make sure your title is easy to read and you know it is fitting for the kind of vibe that you are trying to go for for the kind of video that you are creating the the main purpose that the title serves is to kind of like introduce people to what the video is going to be about or what the title of the certain project is so just keep those things in mind I'm going to play this clip back again so you guys can check out the result for yourself business so I really hope you enjoyed this video if you wanted to learn how to create a simple yet professional looking intro title for your videos then go ahead and recreate this in your own projects I hope you are going to have fun with it don't be titles if you want to get Premiere Pro get it in the description if you want to get an epidemic you can also find that there for the sound effects and if you are wanting to learn more about content
